I wonder what this chapter could be about…

Katara had been looking at Aang's face for a year and a half now, and it took her that long to notice that she had never seen a single blemish on it. Not a single pimple, zit, blackhead, nothing. She found this a bit odd, considering he was thirteen and certainly going through changes. His voice was cracking, he had grown to be as tall as she was (and was nowhere near done yet), and his muscles were developing more, but acne had never been a problem for him. But she never really talked to him about it, figuring that a conversation about acne would be a bit awkward.

She enjoyed the smoothness of his face, cupping his cheeks with her fingertips whenever she got the chance. (This always made him blush, much to her amusement.) She wondered how he was able to keep his face so neat, how he could never get a pimple.

Until this morning.

Katara had woken up earlier than usual and was lying on the couch. She was beginning to drift back to sleep when Aang woke up and prodded into the room.

"Morning, sleepyhead," he said, sitting next to her feet.

She sat up and yawned. "Morning," she replied. "Sorry, I was up early." Still half-asleep, she blinked a couple times until his face fully came into focus. And what she saw made her giggle.

"What's so funny?" Aang asked.

"Oh, nothing, Aang," Katara responded. "It's just…you have…" she pointed to his left cheek, where a red bump was present.

"I have what? Is there something on my face?" Aang was confused. He raised an eyebrow.

"Well…yeah. Here," she said, taking his hand. They stood up and walked into the bathroom.

Aang looked into the mirror and gasped. "What is that?" he asked, pointing at the reflection of his new red bump.

Katara looked at him, a puzzled expression on her face. "Wait…you seriously don't know?"

He shook his head. "No. Is it bad?"

"No, not at all," she assured him, smiling. "It's just a little zit. Everyone gets them at somepoint. Believe me, that isn't the last one you'll ever see."

"But…how come I've never seen you get one?" he asked.

"I get them," she replied. "They're just a little harder to notice on me because my skin is darker."

"Oh." That made sense. "Is there…anything I can do to make it go away?"

You should probably pop it," she instructed. "And then wash your face right after. That thing has oil and dirt in it. Trust me, you do not want that in your face."

"Yuck, you're right." Aang made a face.

"It won't disappear right away, though," Katara said. "But it'll leave a scab, which certainly looks better than a big, fat pimple."

He nodded. "Okay."

She pecked him on the lips and left the bathroom to let him deal with his little problem. When she sat back down on the couch, she smiled. Aang was growing up.

I do not own ATLA, unfortunately. But on the bright side, Kataang9 has an interesting request. You guys are in for a treat next chapter!
