At Principal Perry's Apartment

It was late afternoon when Bree climbed on top of a dumpster. She jumped as high as she could, catching the rail of a fire escape. Vaulting over it with a flip, she climbed up the ladder to its next level before hopping on top of the railing. She jumped over to the window a few feet up and pulled herself up to find it open. When she sat on the sill she saw Chase was already waiting inside.

"How did you get inside so fast?" Bree asked as she climbed inside.

"The front door." Chase whispered. "I can pick locks."

"Why are you whispering?"

Chase pointed at the table in the center of the room. Principal Perry's laptop was underneath a cat that looked very unhappy to see them intruding.

"Grab it while I get the computer." Bree ordered.

"No, you do it?" Chase said.

"I don't want to get scratched, you do it."

"But-"

Bree pushed Chase forward and the cat jumped on him, attaching its claws to his face. Bree stepped back from them and grabbed the laptop. She opened it, finding it was already logged into, and found the video of her and Chase using the powers.

"And goodbye." Bree said as she deleted it, double checking afterward to ensure there were no copies.

"Bree, get it off me!" Chase screamed.

"Yeah, no." Bree said. "Did you think I forgot you tried to-" she mimicked the way he moves his fingers to use his molecular-kinesis "-me into a car this morning."

"Please help-"

Bree left the apartment, closing the door behind her.

That Night

Cindy walked down the halls of a large corporation a few miles outside of Mission Creek. It was dark already and all of the employees were gone and since she'd already disabled the cameras through a panel in the lobby there was no need to be stealthy. Well, all the employees were gone except for the one guard she saw a little earlier, but a quick zap of lightning took care of that problem. She rounded a corner and faced the door to the room she was looking for. It wasn't on any official blueprints, but she'd found it after a lot of searching. She approached it and placed a hand on the screen of the hand scanner. Controlling the electricity moving behind an object was easy-like reaching a hand through and putting together a puzzle-and this time was no exception. The door slid open and she stepped inside.

A circular console was in the center of the room. It was surrounded with screens on all sides, just like the walls. She stood in front of it and turned everything on. Just like she expected, this was an archive room for the company's illegal activities. It took a little zap to get around the password and firewall, but once she was inside she typed in the words: kidnapping, experiments and chips. When those yielded no results, she typed in bionic. There was one result, which she would've pressed if someone hadn't pulled her away from the screen. Cindy turned around with her fists clenched and gasped when she saw the person in front of her.

She was around the same age as Cindy, but she didn't look it. She had colorless white hair, sickly grayish-white skin and eyes that were nearly white. She was extremely thin, as if she hadn't eaten in months. But what was most shocking about her appearance was the shining blue light that you could see from beneath her skin. It illuminated the room with the pulsing glow coming from her neck and the veins around her left shoulder. That chip was what was slowly leeching the life out of her-and the reason she didn't need to eat.

"You shouldn't look for things you don't want to find." The girl, Blithe, said without a trace of emotion.

"Well, if it isn't my favorite mistake." Cindy said as she regained her footing. Fire shot from her hands and soared at Blithe, but it didn't do anything. The light at her neck turned purple before the flames hit, and they didn't even burn her. "Why couldn't I get that power?"

"You're not supposed to be here." Blithe said. "Now you have to be disposed of-"

Blithe was cut short as a battering ram hit the side of her face. Of course, that didn't do anything either. Cindy turned to the door and saw that Taylor was standing there,

"Someone call for a handsome hero?" He asked.

"Can you shut up and do something useful?" Cindy asked.

Taylor made a box materialize and started pulling and twisting its sides. Blithe turned her eyes at him and Cindy shot a blast of lightning at her. Again, it didn't do anything. The light from her chip turned white and, in less than a second, she was in front of Cindy. Superspeed now. Cindy raised a fist for a punch, but Blithe's chip turned red and she grabbed the red-haired girl's arm. Blithe lifted her up and tossed her onto the ground like a sack of flower. Behind Blithe, Graham popped up and jumped onto her shoulders. As she leaned forward in surprise, another Graham kicked her leg out form under her and a third one wrapped an arm around her neck and pulled her to the ground. When she fell, an anvil made of light appeared in the air above Blithe and fell. The Graham on her back vanished into smoke right before it hit her. But her chip turned purple and she didn't even react to the 500 pound weight on her back. Her chip turned red and she rolled, pushing the anvil off of her like it was weightless. Blithe's chip turned blue as she looked at the two remaining Graham copies, analyzing each of them. Then, her chip turned white and she sped over to the one on her left. Her chip turned red as she punched him, sending him flying across the room. When he landed he was unconscious, and the other clone fell to the ground as well. From the corner of the room, another Graham-the original-fell to the ground as he felt the impact of the blow as well.

Taylor made a bull made out of light appear and it charged at Blithe. Her chip turned white again and she supersped away. She tapped a button on the console in the middle of the room and all of the computer screens in the room shut off, blanketing the room in darkness. When Cindy made a ball of fire appear in her hand she was able to see that Blithe had pinned Taylor to the wall. Taylor reached a hand toward the fire in Cindy's hand to absorb the light, but Blithe's chip glowed red and she headbutted him. Taylor fell down, completely unconscious.

Cindy shot a ball of fire at Blithe, but the girl's chip turned purple again and the fire didn't even phase her. That was all the information Cindy needed to come up with a plan. She shot a blast of electricity, but Blithe still didn't react to it, she just kept advancing. When Blithe got close enough she grabbed Cindy's arm, preparing to flip her. Cindy balanced her weight so that Blithe would have more trouble performing to action. To get the strength to force Cindy over her shoulder, Blithe switched her chip and it turned red. But in an instant, Cindy reached for Blithe's neck-right above where the light from her chip was shining. She pulled the electricity from the chip right out of the girl's neck and the light started to dim. Blithe tried to push Cindy away, but she got weaker and weaker as the chip lost its power. Finally, Blithe fell to the ground and the light at her neck had disappeared.

Cindy tried to take a step toward Graham and Taylor, but she felt insanely light headed. All the excess energy she'd drained had went straight to her own chip and it always made her feel jittery and dizzy. She shot a blast of lightning at Blithe-just enough to make the girl fall unconscious-to make her head stop spinning so much. Then she pressed a finger to her neck and sent a message back to the lab. She was so caught up wondering how to make herself stop shaking that she didn't notice the footsteps behind her. Or the person who hit her in the back of her head, knocking her unconscious.
