Me: Hey everypony! It's me, Sunblast X and welcome back to the intro of: Shadow Storm Adventures.
Me: In the last chapter we introduced the last of the mane 7 and the hero of our story, Shadow Storm.
Me: With the mane 7 done, we can now have other characters guest star in the intros. Don't worry, they'll return soon enough.
Me: Now let's get this intro over with by bring out our guest star.
Me: She's the ruler of Equestria, and the princess of the sun. Please welcome, Princess Trolle- I mean, Celestia! *Suddenly a flash of golden light appeared and when it vanished Celestia was there*
Me: Celestia! It's an honor. *I said with a bow*
Celestia: Thank you. I always enjoy watching your intros and I am happy to be part of one.
Me: Likewise.
Celestia: Also, I heard what you were about to call me before you introduced me. *She said with a raised eyebrow and a grin*
Me: Oh shit! You heard that? *I asked with widened eyes*
Celestia: yes, but its ok, I'm called that a lot so I'm used to it.
Me: Phew! *I said, wiping the sweat from my forehead*
Celestia: So? Do you have any questions for the princess of Equestria?
Me: Individually, what do you think of Shadow Storm and Twilight?
Celestia: Hm. Good question. I've known those two since they were young foals. Twilight is a powerful unicorn with an extraordinary amount of magic. She has come a long way since becoming my student, but still has much to learn.
Me: And Shadow Storm? *I asked with a raised eyebrow*
Celestia: He also a talented pony. He can do what no other Pegasi can do… control lightning. I don't think I've ever seen a Pegasus with his sort of ability. His electric powers make him as unique as Twilight, and he also has much to learn, even about his own powers. But whatever the case, I am very proud of both of them. *She said, finishing with a warm smile*
Me: Well said, Celestia. I don't know why not that many people in the brony community like you, you're so nice.
Celestia: Thank you, Sunblast.
Me: Yeah… also, don't take this the wrong way, but I like your sister better.
Celestia: It's ok. Luna will be happy to know that someone likes her.
Celestia: So what's today's episode?
Me: Winter Wrap-up. Now let's start it, shall we?
Episode 11: Winter Wrap-up
-Shadow Storm's house (Shadow Storm's P.O.V)-
Today was a new day, and I was asleep in bed. Well, I was until I heard a knock at my front door. I got out of bed and headed downstairs. Once downstairs I opened the door and saw who it was.
"Twilight?" I said in a sleepy tone of voice.
"Good morning, Shadow Storm. Do you know what day it is?" she asked me with a smile.
"…Wednesday?" I asked her.
"Yes, but it's also Winter Wrap-up" she told me.
"Oh yeah…" I said in realization. "What's with him?" I asked her noticing Spike, asleep on her back.
"He's just cranky because I woke him up from his sleep" she said.
"Of course" I said with a little sarcasm while rolling my eyes with a light smile.
"So? You ready?" she asked me.
"Sure, but can I eat some breakfast first?" I asked.
"Here, have an apple" she said, shoving an apple into my mouth. "Come on!" She said while grabbing my hoof, dragging me out of my house before I could take a bite of the apple.
-Ponyville (center of town)-
I had finished the apple that Twilight had gave me—not letting me eat an actual breakfast I might add—and we were walking to where they would announce the teams.
"You've lived here long than me, Shadow Storm. What does each team do exactly?" Twilight asked me.
"Well, there are three teams assigned by colored vests. Blue is for the weather team, either for clearing the clouds or cutting up the ice on the lakes. Green is for the plant team, they make homes for the animals that are coming back from the south and get rid of snow for the grass and flowers. And the tan is for the animal team, they wake up animals that have been asleep through winter" I explained.
"That sounds fun. And I'm guessing the vests are designed by Rarity" she said.
"I guess" I said.
"I'll take a blue vest, same color as my blanket, which I think I hear calling my name 'Spike! Spike! Come to bed!' Ugh, it's too early" Spike said, being lazy. I gave an unamused look.
"He thinks Ponyville changes the weather with magic like in Canterlot?" I asked rhetorically with a raised eyebrow.
"Yep. I already told him that ponies in Ponyville change the weather without magic" Twilight said. Soon we had made it to the center of town where everypony in Ponyville was.
"Thank you, everypony, for being here bright and early. We need every single pony's help to wrap up winter, and bring in spring" the mayor said and everypony cheered. I had a determined look on my face. "Now, all of you have your vests, and have been assigned to your teams, so let's do even better than last year, and have the quickest Winter Wrap-up ever!" she shouted. Everypony cheered once more.
"Oh, this is so exciting" Twilight said, looking at me with excitement.
"Yeah, this should be good" I said with a smile. We then looked back at the mare.
"Alright everypony, find your team leaders, and let's get galloping!" she shouted, and then everypony left to do what they were assigned to do. The only ones left were me, Twilight, and Spike.
"Oh gosh, where should we go? I'm not sure where I fit in" Twilight said in a worried voice. I put a caring hoof on her shoulder. After that there was a whole musical number on what happens during Winter Wrap-up, even Twilight sang.
-With Rainbow Dash-
"Everypony belongs to a team. What should I do? Where should I go?" Twilight asked as we were walking in the middle of town. I shrugged, not having a clue.
"Alright team, you're clear for takeoff" We heard Rainbow Dash say as we saw the Pegasi portion of the blue team fly off.
"Rainbow Dash!" Twilight greeted her with a smile as we walked up to her.
"Oh, hey Twilight, hey Shadow, what's up?" she greeted us.
"Nothing much. Twilight's just trying to find out what team she wants to be part of, that's all" I told her.
"That's cool" she said.
"So what are you doing?' Twilight asked Rainbow Dash.
"I'm sending off one of one of my flight crews to retrieve the birds that have flown south for the winter" She told Twilight.
"Oh, can I help? How about I help clear the clouds?" Twilight suggested. It was a good suggestion, there was just one problem.
"Twilight, you don't have any wings, remember?" I told her, reminding her.
"Oh, right" she said with a nervous look on her face.
"Sorry, Twilight" Rainbow Dash said. "Hey Shadow Storm, why don't you help clear the clouds?" she suggested to me.
"Sorry, I did that last year. Maybe next year ok?" I asked with a smile.
"Alright, but we'll be right here if you change your mind" she said, and then flew away.
"Great, now what do we do?" she asked.
"I don't know about you, but I'm gonna be nappin'" Spike and then snored, sleeping on Twilight's back once again. I looked at her with a questioning glare and she nodded. I then flowed electricity into my right hoof and zapped Spike in the butt with a small bolt of lightning, enough to wake him up.
"Ow!" he said as he rubbed where I shocked him, giving me an annoyed look.
"Spike, this is serious. Winter needs to be wrapped up, and I'm determined to do my part. Somehow" Twilight told him. "What do you usually during Winter Wrap-up, Shadow Storm?" she asked me.
"I tend to fluctuate every year, so don't really stick to one team" I told her. "But that doesn't matter right now. What matters is finding you a team" I said, placing a hoof on her shoulder with a light smile. "Come on!" I said as I lead the way to another team.
-With Rarity-
"Ok, since the cloud clearing thing didn't work out for you, maybe helping make nests will help you out" I told Twilight as we walked through snow.
"I sure hope so" she said. We then saw Rarity sitting on a bench, working on nests.
"Hey Rarity, can you help us out with something?" I asked as we walked up to her.
"Of course, darling, what is it that you need?" she asked.
"Twilight needs to find a team where she fits into and we were wondering if she could help you build nests" I told her.
"Oh, why certainly" she said. "When the weather team guides the birds back north for the spring, they'll need a place to live to lay their eggs" Rarity told Twilight. She then showed us a bird nest that she made.
"Wow, Rarity, that's beautiful" Twilight said.
"Yes, molto bellissimo" I added, speaking Italian. They gave me confused looks. "That means 'very lovely' in Italian" I said, translating for them.
"Oh why, thank you both most sincerely" Rarity thanked us. "Would you like to try your hoof at a nest?" she asked Twilight.
"Would I? Yes! Where do I begin?" she asked.
"Shadow Storm, would you like to help me explain to Twilight on how to make a nest?" Rarity asked me.
"Sure" I replied. "Ok, so basically all you have to do is grab some straw, some hay, and some branches…" I began. Twilight then grabbed the things I said with her magic.
"Then, grab some ribbon…" Rarity added. Twilight grabbed a pink ribbon with her magic
"Now all you have to do is weave the straw, hay, and branches into a nest" I told her.
"And once that's done, tie the ribbon on to it in the form of a bow to make it look lovely" Rarity said, finishing the explanation. "Do you get it?" she asked her. Twilight nodded.
"Ok, now you can start" I told her. She then used her magic to weave the materials together. She concentrated on what she was doing. Moments later her first nest was done. The sad part though, was the fact that it came out… less than accurate…
"There! It looks just like…" Twilight looked at the difference between her nest and Rarity's. "… yours. Oh my" she said with a nervous look.
"That nest needs to be condemned" Spike said. I gave him an annoyed look, and then punched him in the arm. "Ow!" he said afterwards, rubbing his right arm where I punched him.
"Oh, Spi-ha-hike, it's not that bad, ah, maybe birds can use it as a…" Rarity began, trying to think of something positive. What could the birds use it as?
"An outhouse?" Spike suggested. I punched him in the arm again. "Ow!" he said, rubbing his arm in pain again.
"Don't listen to him, Twilight" I told her with a smile. "Sure, it's not the best nest, but I've seen worse" I said.
"Really?" she asked.
"Yeah, a few times" I said.
"Yes, it just needs a little touch-up, that's all" Rarity said. "Let's just untie this ribbon, and let me take out these sticks here, we'll shave this…" Rarity trailed off. She was so busy trying to fix Twilight's nest that she began mumbling to herself. I then walked up to Twilight.
"Let's get out of here" I suggested to her in a whisper so that Rarity wouldn't hear. Twilight nodded and walked away to see if anyone else could help Twilight be part of a team.
-With Pinkie Pie-
After the whole nest making thing, Twilight, Spike and I had made it to the frozen lake. And once we got there we saw Pinkie Pie ice skating.
"Hellooooooo, Shadow and Twilight! Wheeeeeeee!" Pinkie said while she was skating. I've got say; I was quite impressed at her skills.
"Wow, Pinkie Pie, you're quite the skater. Probably the best skater I've ever seen" Twilight said.
"Yeah, I'm impressed" I said.
"Thanks Twilight, Thanks Shadow, I've been doing this since I was an itty-bitty little-wittle Twinkie-Pinkie. Just comes natural" Pinkie told us.
"And that's why you're the lake scorer" I said.
"Lake Scorer?" Twilight asked with a raised eyebrow.
"She and some other ponies cut lines in the ice. So when the rest of the weather ponies come it'll be easier for them to break" I explained.
"Yep, that's basically my job. It's easy as pie" she said, using part of her name as a pun. To be honest I chuckled a little on the inside.
"How clever. You sure have a lot of work ahead of you, there are quite a few lakes in Ponyville" Twilight said.
"Ha, tell me about it" she said. "Hey, Twilight, wanna help me out?" she asked.
"Yes she would" I said, answering her question for Twilight since I know she wants to be part of a team to help clean up winter. Twilight gave me a raised eyebrow and I gave her a nervous smile.
"Come on, put on those skates over there. I bet you'll be a natural too" Pinkie said.
"Ok" Twilight said.
[10 minutes later]
"Yaaaaay!" Pinkie cheered as she did her ice skating moves.
"Uh… maybe on second thought" Twilight said with a nervous look.
"What are you talking about? You said you wanted to be helpful" Spike told her.
"Yippie!" Pinkie said as she did a spin in midair, and then landed on one hind leg.
"Now get out there" Spike said, shoving Twilight on to the ice. I glared at him and he gave me a nervous smile. Pinkie then skidded in between us, sitting down with a smile on her face.
"Oh no, whoa, wow…" Twilight said struggling to skate.
"You can do it Twilight! Just believe in yourself!" I told her, giving her some encouragement. Although in the back of my mind I had my doubts about this. Twilight's my friend and everything, but I still had my doubts about her being a 'natural skater'. Nevertheless, I cheered her on because that how good of a friend I am.
"Twilight, steer! Steer!" Pinkie told her.
"Yaaaaa!" Twilight yelled, losing control… or whatever possible control she had.
"Oh boy…" Pinkie said with concern. I too had a concerned look on my face. Twilight scream, and then flew face first into a pile of snow. I flew to her side and Spike and Pinkie Pie ran around the lake afterwards. I grabbed Twilight's sides and pulled her out. I then put her down next to me.
"You ok, Twilight?" I asked her.
"Ha ha, you are a natural, Twilight. A natural disaster" Spike said, and then continued to laugh. I glared at him with annoyance, but then shook my head while rolling my eyes. I would zap him with my lightning, but I rather not waste it on something that's not that big of a deal. I couldn't blame him though, that crash was a little funny.
"Twilight, you did a great job your first time around. I'm sure my first time was just as wobbly and bobbly and crasheriffic as yours" Pinkie Pie said.
"Yeah Twilight, you were amazing" I told her.
"Really?" Twilight asked us.
"No" Pinkie and I said simultaneously. I heard Spike chuckle.
"But did I make you fell better?" Pinkie asked her. I gave Pinkie a confused look. How does that make her feel better?
"Mm-hmm, yeah, I guess" Twilight said with a nod. I don't even know how to respond to that.
"I think you'll be super awesome at something that keeps your hooves on the ground. I know, Fluttershy could probably use your help with the critters" Pinkie said.
"Wow Pinkie, that's actually not a bad idea" I told her.
"Well… I'm pretty good with little animals. Yeah, I'll go help her" Twilight said.
"Where is she?" I asked Pinkie.
"That a-way" she said, pointing in the direction of northeast.
"Thanks Pinkie. Come on, Twilight" I said. Twilight then took off her skates and we headed in the direction of Fluttershy.
-With Fluttershy-
Soon the three of us had made it to where Fluttershy was. We saw that she was poking her head into animals' dens.
"Wake up, little sleepy heads. Hope you had some wonderful dreams and restful hibernation, but it's time to get up now, spring is coming" Fluttershy said, telling little animals it was time for spring. We then saw what animals came out.
"Sweet, Hedgehogs!" I said with a smile, enjoying the sight of hedgehogs.
"Awww, how cute" Twilight said with a smile as well.
"Aren't they? This is my favorite task the whole season, when I get to see my little animal friends again" Fluttershy told us.
"Yeah, I love hedgehogs. They have an amazing defense where they can roll up into a spiked ball to protect themselves form predators" I said, crouching down to the hedgehogs' level. They then rolled up into a ball and I carefully picked one up. "This is one animal that no elephant would want step on one of these and no tiger or other predator would want to pounce on one of them either" I said. I then set the little critter down.
"Wow Shadow Storm, you certainly know a lot about hedgehogs" Twilight told me.
"Thanks" I said
"Uh, what's hibernation?" Spike asked.
"It's like a long sleep" Fluttershy said, walking to another den.
"Long sleep?" Spike asked with a curious smile.
"Yeah. Some animals like bears and porcupines eat a ton of food before winter starts. And then when winter comes they sleep through it to store and save up energy, and eat less food. Then when spring comes, they're ready to go" I told him.
"I definitely like the idea of hibernation, uh, except for the 'eat less food' part" Spike said. Of course he would like the idea of sleeping for three months.
"Oh, speaking of porcupines. Did you know that the quills on its back are actually hairs that have been harden as a natural defense against predators?" I said, telling them about porcupines.
"Really?' Twilight asked.
"Yeah. You don't want to try to attack or scare them because if you do you'll get a face full of quills" I said. "And in some occasions, the quills will hit a predator's body which can harm it, sometimes hitting a vital organ like the heart or a lung, killing it" I told them.
"Wow Shadow Storm, I'm impressed. You certainly know a lot about animals. Almost as much as me" Fluttershy said with a smile, impressed with my knowledge of animals. "Although, I could've done without you telling us about what happens when the quills hit another animal" she said. I chuckled a little.
"Ok, sorry Flutters" I said.
"Oh, would you look at all these warrens and dens? I'm worried that I won't be able to wake up every animal before spring comes" Fluttershy said.
"Well, I'll help, Fluttershy" Twilight spoke up.
"You will? Oh, that would be wonderful" Fluttershy said. She then looked at me. "Shadow Storm, will you help me too?" she asked me.
"I don't think Shadow wants to, Fluttershy. He's just helping me find a team I can be part of" Twilight said.
"Actually, Twilight, this time I actually will help" I told her.
"Really? Oh thank you!" Fluttershy thanked me. "But promise me you won't use your lightning and hurt them" she said.
"Don't worry, I won't" I told her as she gave me a bell. "I'll start over there" I said pointing to a random den. I then rang the bell in front of the den. "Alright guys, time to wake up" I said to the animals in the den. They came out and yawn, and then stretched out there bodies. The animals that came out were bears. "Huh, bears" I said.
"Waaa! Snakes! Snakes!" I heard Twilight yelled. I saw her scream while running backwards. Unfortunately, she ran back so far that she fell into another animal's den. I then saw a green coming from it. That can only mean on thing…
"Uh-oh, skunk den…" I said. I then saw her run out of the skunk den and bump into a tree. Her luck would only get worse because the tree she bumped into had a bee hive on it, and her bumping into it caused the hive to land on her head. She screamed as she ran and bees stung her face. I looked at Fluttershy with wide eyes. "Uh… I'm going to go help Twilight…" I told her, and then flew off after Twilight.
-Twilight's house-
I had gotten the bee hive off of Twilight's head and flew her back to her house. Spike had prepared a tomato bath to get rid of the skunk smell that was on her body.
"Wow… you just have the worst luck today, Twilight" I said.
"*sigh* I know. All this Winter Wrap-up stuff I a lot harder than it looks" she said.
"Well this is your first winter in Ponyville. It takes time to get used to this kind of thing" I told her.
"That and because there's no magic. Why don't you just use magic, Twilight, and get it done the right way?" Spike asked her.
"This is Ponyville, Spike; it doesn't need magic to clean up winter. It found by earth ponies you know" I told him.
"He's right Spike, Ponyville has never needed magic to wrap up winter. I have to do this the traditional way like everypony else" she told him. Glad she and I are on the same side here.
"Well, they never had you here before, either. Think how much quicker they could wrap up winter with your magic" Spike said.
"Damn it, Spike, she said no!" I told him with an annoyed look.
"I'm going to find some other way that I can help if it kills me" Twilight said, and got out of the tomato bath with a grunt, heading outside and back into winter. I had a curious look as to what she was going to do, and a smile to go with it.
"She's a determined little unicorn isn't she?" I asked myself. Spike and I then ran out of the house after her.
-With Applejack-
"You do know that tomato juice doesn't really get the skunk smell out, right?" I told her with a raised eyebrow.
"Right now, that's the least of my problems" she told me while we were walking. "I still need to find a team that I belong to" she added.
"Well you already tried weather clearing, nest making, ice cutting, and animal waking" I said. "The only thing left is snow plowing, and if you're not good at that then you're screwed" I told her.
"Yeah, thanks for the support" she said with a sarcastic tone, giving me an irritated look. I chuckled a bit. Unlike some ponies, I actually knew when someone was being sarcastic.
"Well, maybe AJ can help you. She's the only one who we haven't seen today" I said. Speaking of which, there she was up ahead of us.
"Hey, Applejack" Twilight greeted her as we met her. "How's everything going?" she asked.
"Oh, just dandy. Little slow startin', but peachy all the same" she said. "There's a lot of ground to clear ya hear. We can't even start the plantin' and the waterin' until we get all these heap a' snow high-tailed outta here" she added. Wow… just wow.
"Well, I'd like to help" Twilight said to her.
"Well, I… I dunno Twilight" Applejack said, unsure.
"Give her a chance, Applejack. She's not going to stop until she's part of a team and her part to help wrap up winter" I told Applejack.
"Well, I never turn down a hard worker, but…" she started. She didn't finish due to Twilight already working on the snow plow.
"You can do it, Twilight!" I shouted, encouraging her. Yeah, this is another one of those times where I have my doubts. I know Twilight's powerful when it comes to magic… but physical strength? That's not one of her strong points. It was at that very moment that I saw Twilight's horn and the snow plow simultaneously glow. "She didn't…" I said under my breath with a surprised look.
"Hmm. She's awful strong for such a little pony" Applejack said with a curious look.
"Yeah. She's the one who's strong" I said with slight sarcasm.
"That's my girl, following my advice" Spike said. I was too busy watching Twilight to be annoyed by him.
"And what in tarnation does that mean?" Applejack asked him. I jumped of off the hill we were on and flew down to Twilight.
"Twilight, I'm surprised at you… using your magic to wrap up winter. I thought you wanted to do this the traditional way?" I said with a disappointed look while flying beside her.
"I do it's just…" she started. "Maybe Spike was right. Maybe cleaning up winter could use some magic" she said.
"You're taking advice… from Spike?" I asked with a raised eyebrow and disbelief. She looked down with a guilty look. It was then that her magic caused the snow plow to go out of control.
"*gasp* Uh-oh. Slow down. Slow down!" she told the plow, but it was no use. The plow went out of control and began to form a gigantic snowball. It soon engulfed Twilight as it rolled. I was about to fly away, but the snowball was so huge it got me as well.
"Crap!" I yelled. I then heard Spike yelp.
"Whoa-oa-oa!" Spike and Applejack yelled as the snowball rolled and got them too.
"What's going on? Wha'd ya do? You used magic, didn't you?" Applejack asked in an irritated tone.
"No Applejack, were rolling around in a giant snowball because it's fun!" I said in a sarcastic joking tone. We then crashed and popped our heads out of the snow.
"Nut's Twilight, you used magic" Applejack said with an irritated look.
"The nerve. Can you believe her?" Spike said with a fake tone of disappointment. "Ow!" he said after I punched him in the arm for the third time in a row today. I'm sorry, but Spike is really pissing me off today.
"That's not how we do it 'round here, Twilight, and especially not on MAH farm" AJ yelled at her. I then saw Twilight tear up. I knew I had to step in.
"Lay off Applejack! She's just trying to help wrap up winter like everypony else. She doesn't need you to make her feel bad about herself!" I yelled at AJ, standing up for Twilight. I then turned to Twilight with a concerned look, seeing that she was about to cry.
"I just wanted to…" she said while tearing up. She then ran away crying. I then felt one of her tear drops land on the corner of my eye.
"…Twilight…" I said as the tear ran down my cheek. I spread my wings and flew after her. For some reason, my heart was telling to help her and I had to listen to it. If there's one thing that I follow, it's my heart…
-With Twilight-
I had landed near the center of town. Weirdly, Spike had followed me.
"Twilight?" I called her name. "Twilight?" I called again. It was then that heard sniffles coming from a nearby bush. "Twilight…?" I asked with slight concern.
"Go away, Shadow Storm" she told me in a sad tone. My ears lowered
"Come on, Twilight. Come on out" Spike told her.
"I'm a winter mess up" she called herself. Was she really beating herself up mentally?
"Well you're good at a lot of things, just not nest-making, ice skating, animal-waking—"
"Dude, you're not helping!" I told Spike, cutting him off from his already unhelpful speech. I decided to step in. I walked in the bush to talk to her. Now wasn't the time to make jokes. It wasn't time be sarcastic and be a cocky bastard. This was a time where one of my friends needed me, and I was going to be there for her and be serious with her. "Twilight… look, it doesn't matter if you can't do anything physical or artsy" I told her, lifting her head up with my hoof so she'd look at me. "Wrapping up winter isn't about how strong you are, or how well you skate, or even how well you make a nest. It's about doing your best and giving it your all. No matter how bad you fail, you have to keep trying until the very end. Even if your part is minimal and barely does anything, at least you know you tried your best at helping wrap things up for spring" I said wiping the tears from her eyes. "And who knows? You might be the one to wrap up winter all together" I said, placing both hooves on her shoulders. She smiled at me, and then hugged me.
"Thank you, Shadow Storm. You all ways know how to cheer me up" she said while nuzzling my chest.
"You're welcome…" I said, holding her close. We sat like that for a few seconds before I blushed and felt awkward. "Uh, we should stop hugging now" I said, looking down at her.
"Uh, right…" she said, and then nervously laughed after we broke the hug. At this point we were both blushing with embarrassed smiles.
"Oh! What in Equestria are all you arguing about?" We heard the mayor's voice say. "This sort of silliness is why we were late for spring last year, and the year before that, and the year before that" we heard her say.
"Did she say late" Twilight asked we popped our heads out of the bush.
"Yeah… Ponyville kinda has a habit of not wrapping up winter on time…" I told her, not particularly proud of Ponyville's reputation with winter.
"I was hoping my amazing inspirational speech would urge everyone to do better than last year, but now it looks like we're going to be later than ever" the mayor said. "I mean just look at this catastrophe. The ice scorers made the ice chunks too big to melt; the nest designer is horrendously behind, we need several hundred, and she's only made one" she told everypony. "And don't get me started on all the clouds in the sky, the icicles on the trees… this isn't good, not at all!" she complained.
"And it's gonna be all to pieces if we can't get our seeds all planted" Applejack said.
"Chillax Applejack, we're bustin' our chops as fast as we can" Rainbow Dash told her.
"No, not fast, we have to wake animals slowly" Fluttershy protested.
"Uh, AJ?" Big Mac said, walking up to his sister.
"Oh good gravy, Caramel lost the grass seeds again, didn't he?" Applejack asked with an irritated look.
"Eeyup" he said simply.
"Ditzy Doo accidentally went north to get the southern birds!" A random Pegasus told Rainbow Dash.
"Oh that featherbrain. Didn't she learn her lesson that year when she went west?" Rainbow Dash said. Apparently, she didn't. We then heard a bunch of ponies grunt and complain.
"Stop this at once. We don't have time to argue. It's almost sundown Spring is going to be late again. Another year of scandal and shame. If only we could be more organized" The mayor said. It was then that a light went of in my head.
"Twilight! This is your chance!" I told Twilight. She smiled.
"Spike! Get my checklist and clipboard, STAT!" she told him.
"Eh, yes, ma'am" he said with a salute and headed back to her house.
"Stop, everypony!" Twilight told everypony. They were still arguing. "Stop!" she told them. I put my hoof to my mouth and did a high-pitched whistle. I could've done a regular whistle too, but a high-pitched one works better. "Thank you, Shadow Storm" Twilight said and I nodded. "I know you all want to complete your jobs on time, but arguing is no way to go about it. When you need is organization" she told everypony.
"That's right, and Twilight here is the right pony for the job" I added.
-Cleaning up winter-
Twilight told everypony what to do thanks to her organization skills. She told the ice scorers to cut the ice into squares; the nest makers to their thing; the animal team to make a device of multiple bells to wake the animals up simultaneously—which caused the snakes to come out and scare her up into a tree—and for the plant team to dig holes and plant the seeds. Soon the rest of the weather team came and melted the ice and snow.
-Afterwards-
"I can't believe it. Spring is here! On time! And we have you to thank for it. If it weren't for your organization skills we would still be arguing" the mayor said.
"Eeyup" Big Mac said simply. We all laughed.
"It was a team effort" Twilight said.
"And since you helped every team, we have an official vest for you. We give you the title, 'All-Team Organizer'" the mayor said as Rarity gave Twilight her unique vest. It the colors of all three teams on it.
"Gosh, I don't even know what to say. Thank you, everypony" she said to everypony.
"And hereby I declare that winter is… wrapped up on time" the mayor announced and everypony cheered.
"Spike's sure gonna be in for a hog-sized surprised when that last piece a' ice melts" Applejack said and we all laughed again.
-Twilight's house-
"Dear Princess Celestia,
Winter Wrap-up was one of the most special things I've ever been a part of her in Ponyville. It helped me to learn that we all have hidden talents, and if we're patient and diligent, we're sure to find them, and as always, with good friendship and teamwork ponies can accomplish anything" Twilight said, giving her friendship report to Celestia. "How was that, Spike?" she asked him. "Spike?" she asked again. We looked at him to see he was asleep in the rocking chair. "Oh, Spike" she said with a laugh and we both laughed.
"That was a pretty good friendship lesson, Twilight" I told her.
"Thanks, but I couldn't have learned it without you" she told me. I raised an eyebrow.
"Me?" I asked with a curious look.
"Yes. You said that as long I kept trying my best I could help wrap up winter. That even if I failed it would still be doing something" she said. "Thank you, Stormie" she said as she nuzzled my face. I really hate it when ponies call me that… but I'll let it slide since its Twilight and we're friends.
"Hm. Anytime, Twilight" I said after we separated. The sad part was I was blushing too. And so, the friendship between Twilight grows ever stronger.
Me: Well, that wraps up this episode. Terrible pun, I know.
Me: I've got nothing left to say here, so I'll just do what I normally do and sign off. See ya everypony!
