Amy was pacing in Rei's room, her mind going over what they experienced close to an hour ago. She had the facts but there was something else there she could not quite grasp, a piece of puzzle missing that would make the events understandable. She let out a frustrated sigh. She was always the calm one! When Rei had touched Serena, Amy's emotions where heightened to a level never reached before. She still was calming down from the experience.
Rei quietly opened and then closed the door behind her. She proceeded to lean against it and looked at Amy. "Do you have an idea what was that?" she asked, hoping that Amy would have the answers, as she does most of the time. Amy stopped pacing and sat on Rei's bed, her elbows on her knees and hands hiding her face. She left out a deep breath and looked up at Rei.
"I am not done analysing the data, but based on my observations I may know what happened to us, but so far I have no idea what is going on with Serena. And this troubles me." Rei just nodded, silently asking for Amy to continue with her observations.
"It's clear that something is IN Serena. I just have to figure out whether we should be extremely worried or terrified, as it is most definitely something not good. To be honest I am just hoping she has PTSD and the energy that comes from our, well, Senshi-ness, has no output because her brooch is broken. I did not even knew it can be broken, which confuses me even more." Amy rubbed her palms over her face.
"You remember I told that my Mercury computer sort of feeds from my energy and that it partially uses my brain as its RAM, but not doing any harm, just boosting it's capabilities. Well, the moment you touched Serena, the computer got the energy from her and the data it accumulated was beyond I have ever seen or managed to process. I got disconnected from it and now I am slowly making a bond with it again. It is nothing difficult, it just takes time. More time than the first time around." She stopped and let out a small laugh, "it makes me sound like some kind of a robot." Rei smiled and moved to sat on the floor opposite Amy.
"You know it is not true," Rei put her hand on Amy's knee and gave it a friendly squeeze, "you just don't show your emotions the same way we do, and we do know you pretty well." Amy smiled back and continued. "The moment the computer connected with Serena I got a burst of emotions; it's like everything I felt only triple the feelings. I am only glad that the computer disconnected from Serena's mind. I am not saying she is stupid to use the computer, it has just linked to my genetics, we are basically inseparable, only not the cyborg or android kind of way, I am no Cyberman."
Rei laughed, "Oh, I know this reference, Doctor Who?!", at what Amy just nodded her head. "The emotions were an overload, and I am guessing it was the opposite with you?" Rei frowned, trying to think a way to best explain her experience.
"Well, it kind of was but at the same time not really. Since I am connected to the, as you named it, Time loop of the Earth, it makes me feel some things a bit different than other people do. I liked how you explained that my mind was connected to the tachyon particles, I feel the time change on both directions which would make it clear why I can sometimes see ghosts, what actually is just a person in different place of time. Before you came along I actually thought they are ghosts not just physics phenomena. You and your smart stuff."
Rei got up and walked to the window, hugging herself. "If you are coming down with being hit with lot of emotions, I just getting accustomed to being connected with the Time loop just, also the same way you are trying to get back together with your Mercury computer. Only this time I can also feel that there is a change with my Senshi energy, I just cannot really sense the direction it has taken yet."
Rei turned back to Amy and then looked at the photograph she had of their group of five. They were smiling and she hoped that Serena had really just had a rough time.
"Is she still asleep?" Amy asked and got up from bed and stretched. "Yes. Lita is still out in the training zone and Mina is meditating in the room of temple fire, it is the most calmest place here. I will prepare us a light meal, then we can come together and discuss this once more."
Rei was walking towards the door, the Amy's computer started beeping. "It looks we have a visitor." She took the computer and quickly started typing, "it's in the Rose garden, the one that's near the park. I guess, some things never change – they still love the park." Amy said and put her computer in the subspace pocket, and they both left the room to collect Lita and Mina, while instructing Rei's grandpa to keep an eye on the sleeping Serena.
When the four girls were near the Rose garden they decided to transform. Each held out their wand keeping an eye of any unwanted bystanders. Seconds later there were four Senshi standing in their place, with one change that took them all by surprise.
"Sailor Mars!" Sailor Senshi exclaimed, looking at their comrade whose Senshi form was now different from theirs. Mars looked down and took in her new look. Feeling no less surprised as her friends.
Her fuku was now red instead of white, the same as her elbow length gloves. She had elbow pads which when moved were so light she did not even notice she had any, and they did not restrict any of her movements. Her shoulders were now lightly padded with a metal armour decorated with read swirls, resembling flames. Here skirts were replaced with ones that looked very much the leather skirts Princess Xena had and she had knee length boots that ended with military style knee-caps, from similar material than that of her shoulder pads. And she was wearing tight, deep red pants.
Mars touched her forehead and instead of her thin diadem now wider one offering more protection was in its place. She looked more like a warrior, not the girlish look the other girls were still sporting.
"Your hair is in a braid!" exclaimed Sailor Venus with her finger outstretched. "Really, Venus, that's all you picked out of the whole stuff, a braid?" asked Sailor Jupiter folding her hands in front of her and waving in the general direction of Sailor Mars.
"May I suggest we talk about this later, at the moment we have more pressing issues to take care, like that walking cactus over there!" shouted a very frustrated Sailor Mercury, surprising the girls with her manner and looked to where the blue haired Senshi gaze was fixed.
At the same moment, four warriors in their battle armour appeared next to the girls. "Hey girls, ready to say hello to the love child of Pinhead and most probably a sea urchin?" joked the man with short blond hair. "Nice get up Mars!" he winked, making Sailor Mars blush unexpectedly. That all added up to the surprise or Mars's new changes and they nearly missed the needles that were coming their way.
The man with the brown hair, reaching to his shoulder blades, quickly moved in front of everyone and using small electrical impulses destroying all but one of the flying needles. As the one stray scraped his for arm, the man with long white hair exclaimed "Nephrite!"
Instantly, the girls moved away from the foursome and took their stance that said they were ready for everything. "You said you were friends!" shouted a very angry Sailor Venus, looking at the man with the white long hair. "None of our friends is called Nephrite,' spat out Sailor Jupiter looking at the slightly injured man.
The four man exchange looks and the white haired man sighed, "Nephrite, you and Jadeite go and take care of the new neighbour and Zoisite and I will take care of our girls here," commanded the man. "Be gentle Kunzite," replied Nephrite and left the six people in two fronts, one more bewildered than they let on.
