It had been a long six weeks for Fitz & Olivia. Ayden was now four months old. Spoiled really wasn't the word, but it was the best one anyone could think of.
Olivia was sitting down with the White House Social Secretary who insisted on helping her plan Karen's 16th birthday party even though they were paying for it out of their funds.
As she sat there confirming all of the plans for the upcoming weekend she thought about how fortunate she was. The last six weeks had been an emotional one. Actually it started before that, but she hid it for some time. No one none the wiser except she didn't fool her husband.
Flashback
When Olivia came home with Ayden she noticed that she started having trouble sleeping again and her mood was all of the place, but she chalked it up to having a newborn.
Once the interview with the kids was over and things quieted down quite a bit it became obvious to her husband especially after her check-up. When she was cleared to have sex she didn't want him anywhere near her.
She barely ate including no desire for popcorn, she didn't want to be around anyone if she didn't have to, and her mood would go from 0 to 100 in a second. She hid it well, but not from Fitz.
After a week he had enough. He told her she was going to the doctor. He thought she might be suffering from postpartum depression. Initially she refused and Fitz blew up.
He yelled, "I don't give a damn what you want at the moment. I will have Secret Service drag you if I have to. Fine, you don't want to have sex with me anymore I can deal. Fine if you file for divorce after you go to the doctor, but you will go because I rather you hate me than to see you lose yourself. Your children need you so you are going so you can find out if it is the stress of being a mom to a newborn, or if it is something physical. Don't worry I'm not going with you Abby is. I get that you can't stand the site of me right now."
Fitz walked out and closed the door leaving Olivia standing in their room in shock. For the first time she understood that she had literally made her husband feel like he was of no use to her, and it was scary that she didn't know why.
She realized that he had been covering for her. When the kids asked why she wasn't eating dinner he would tell them she ate earlier because of Ayden. When she didn't come out the room he explained that taking care of a newborn wasn't easy especially with his job she was responsible for Ayden most of the time. When he saw her mood changing he made sure to take the brunt of her anger.
She showered and got dressed and Abby was waiting for her. Once they were in the car she broke down and Abby consoled her.
She told Olivia, "You know he is doing this for you. I'm sure he misses being intimate with you, but even more he misses you. There is nothing he won't do for you Liv. He personally made the calls to set this up to ensure your privacy, and that you were treated with nothing but respect. The same way you are crying so has he. He is barely functioning because he is so concerned for your health Liv. So if you can't do this for you then do it for him."
Olivia looked at Abby and nodded.
When Olivia sat down with Dr. Palmer she knew she would be okay thanks to her husband. Not only for forcing her to seek help, but the woman he selected. Her demeanor catered to Olivia's personality.
After their initial consultation Dr. Palmer informed Olivia that her husband was right. She believed that Olivia was suffering from Postpartum Depression. They discussed a treatment plan.
Olivia walked out the office hopeful. She was excited and wanted to immediately head back to apologize to her husband for all that she was putting him through.
She walked out and looked at Abby who had a look of concern. She saw Olivia.
"A group of American college students have been kidnapped in South Africa. Up until now they could not confirm, but they have . He is headed to South Africa in hopes of negotiating their safe return. I'll be leaving to meet him him the morning."
Olivia was sad. She knew that he was going above and beyond. He didn't have to go, but when it came to children Fitz would do whatever he could. She wished that he didn't leave not knowing where they stood, but she was proud of him.
Abby handed her the IPad. Fitz had recorded a message for her.
"Abby told me that you didn't head to the doctor kicking and screaming. That's good because I really have come to love my sister and COS. She also told me that you were embracing getting yourself better. I have to go Livvie. I have to do whatever I can to bring those kids home. I'm not running from you. I know that you think I'm on the plane thinking we left in a bad place, but it is the opposite. I leave with the comfort of knowing that you are in a much better place. I want you to know that I love you. I miss my Livvie. Sex is not the most important factor here. You are. As long as I know you are getting better physically and emotionally that is all that matters."
Fitz was gone for the next three weeks. They barely talked on the phone or live due to the time difference and the negotiations.
They texted a lot. She told him that Dr. Palmer was great. She even started coming to the Residence to ensure Olivia's privacy. She was on an anti-depressant, but the doctor put her on one that would allow her to continue to breast feed.
Olivia sent him tons of pictures of Ayden and videos of the children. She made sure that he didn't miss anything although he was away. She also knew that it helped him stay focus on the task at hand. Fitz was grateful that Olivia was now his wife. The texts, videos, and pictures kept him going.
She always seemed to know when he needed it to the most. His phone would ping. After three weeks and several tips going nowhere they found them in the knick of time.
Huck was a valuable behind the scenes asset. A little bit of luck, a lot of Huck, and a dedicated team found the students before they were sold in the black market.
Some had been beaten, they were starved, and some had terrible bug bites but they got all of them out alive.
Olivia was asleep when Karen came in her room crying. It scared Olivia until she turned on the TV. Jerry came in the room. They watched as their dad and her husband was there to greet the children at the makeshift hospital.
Olivia became really emotional as she watched him console a young woman that reminded her of Karen. She was shaking and the nurse couldn't calm her down. She watched as Fitz consoled the young lady.
It was an image that was captured around the world. It made Olivia want to support her husband so she got up. She called Melissa and Quinn. Hours later they were on the plane headed to the location where the parents were keeping vigil.
When they saw her walk in they were amazed to see the First Lady. Marta took Ayden while she & the kids consoled the families. They were so grateful for the efforts of the President.
A woman came over to Olivia and Secret Service stopped her. Olivia nodded to let them know she was fine.
She stepped over to Olivia, "That young woman President Grant is consoling is my daughter. She suffers from panic attacks. I will never be able to thank him for what he did. I know it was not about the optics. Even as her mom I haven't always been able to calm her. My husband died in Dessert Storm. She is the last tangible thing I have of my husband."
Olivia consoled her. Her phone rang. It was her husband. She could tell he was tired, but it was worth the lost sleep.
She told her husband where they were. He smiled. She found out he was still at the makeshift hospital. She asked if he could put the young woman on the phone which he did.
She handed her phone to the woman and the phone reunion was everything. Fitz talked to her mother and explained that she would be home within the next day or two. They were arranging transportation for the wounded back to the U.S. as well as making sure they had the medical facility to take them in.
Quinn got them a suite. Olivia wanted to stay so they could help. It was 15 students so Olivia & her team found two hotels that were next door to each other had enough space for all of them. They found transportation and made the announcement.
Olivia arranged to pay for their rooms and food. Olivia booked their conference rooms to allow them to see updates together. Melissa went out and purchased lots of snacks and drinks for everyone.
The community embraced the gesture of the First Family, and donated food, toiletries, etc. People showed up to support.
Two days later the families were at an air strip waiting for the children to arrive. Their were ambulances waiting to take them to the hospital. It was a well-coordinated effort that went off seamlessly.
The final reunion was the First Family. Olivia held her husband. She missed him so much, but so did the children. They shared long embraces.
Ayden showed his dad he missed him to when he began to babble non-stop. He smiled and cooed as his daddy talked to him.
He hugged his wife again, "I love you so much. I couldn't have done this without you."
"I love you more. I couldn't have gotten better with you."
After delivering a short speech he went back to the hotel with his family. The kids and Marta took Ayden so they could spend some time together.
After a nice long shower together they got out. Olivia ordered them room service.
They talked while they ate and to Fitz's surprise she immediately began telling him about her treatment.
The finished and climbed in the bed and watched the news where they were being praised for their efforts. The media had interviewed several of the students who talked about how down to earth the President was. He helped them to remain calm, and not to focus on their kidnapping or injuries.
They spoke with several families who talked about Olivia putting them up in a hotel so they could get proper rest. Be able to shower in private, and have some peace that you can't get in a crowed room. The hot meals and snacks were everything in that moment.
Everyone emphasized that they didn't bring a camera crew with them so the footage they saw was from the media that was already there. They talked about how humble the family was. How the teenagers were just as helpful as their parents.
The emotional interview came when the young lady that Fitz consoled was interviewed. The reporter asked her what the President said to calm her down.
Tears began to fall.
"He saw my dad's dog tags. They were under my shirt but came out. I was clutching them and said I needed him. I have bad panic attacks. Both of my parents help me through them, but I was a daddy's girl so he was able to calm me down quickly. He told me my dad watches over me, and he would be proud of me for remaining strong. He would want me to not give up now. He reminded me I needed to make it back home to my mom. After I calmed down some I asked him about his children. I asked if his wife was as powerful as they say she is. He laughed and said more. He told me that her size was her weapon. People assumed and then she goes in for the kill. He told me how she brought him to his knees a time or two. At some point I forgot he was the President. He asked me about my hopes and dreams. He reminded me of my dad. I look forward to voting. He is the real deal."
Olivia smiled, "She is right. Thank you for saving me. Although I know now that something is wrong I am still sorry for my actions. I am very proud of you. You are more than the man I voted for."
That night they made love for the first time since she went into labor, and it was what they both needed. That connection said it all.
Present Day
Karen was aware that she was having a party, but Olivia would not give her any details. Coincidentally her birthday fell on a Saturday. Olivia served her breakfast in bed.
"Happy Birthday honey."
"Thanks mom."
A short time later the boys came in to wish her a happy birthday. Ayden loved his siblings. He would babble with them for days.
A short time later Olivia opened the door and Karen's closest friends came in. She hugged them.
"Guys in two hours you all will be headed down for hair & make-up. I will bring down your dress, and I have already told them how to do your hair."
Karen got up, "Mom, thank you. Again I'm sorry I ever doubted our relationship would change. Well it has it gets better with time."
Olivia smiled, "Good. Have fun."
Olivia walked into the room where the girls were getting ready. Karen was excited when she noticed her friends had gowns. Her hair was curled and put up with ringlets around her face. Flowers were added to complete the look.
Her friends were jealous. They said their mom would never have them looked as good as she did. When Olivia walked in the room she saw her daughter beaming, and that was all that mattered.
Olivia opened up the gown bag and showed Karen what her gown looked like. Karen squeled at the Daniele One-Shoulder Embellished Gown. It was pink coral. It was elegant but age appropriate.
She handed Karen a case and told her it was from her. Inside was a Poirar Diamond Heart Necklace & a pair of Luca Carati Diamond Dangle Earrings.
Karen looked at Olivia in shock. Olivia promised her if she was responsible she would give her some type of jewelry every year. Fitz approved. They were appropriate. She could wear them for years to come.
"I love them mom. Are these mine?"
"They are. I will keep them in the safe with mine. When you get older we will get you your own. They are not everyday pieces, but I trust that you will know when it is appropriate to wear."
"I will mom. Thank you.
She handed her another box. "This is from your brothers."
"It was a diamond bracelet."
"All I know is your brother said Ayden babbled the most when he showed him this one. Your dad gave him money out of Ayden's trust account so when he is older he can honestly say he helped buy it. I'm leaving that alone."
They all laughed. Two of the girls there had known Karen from her first boarding school. It was like night and day. Mellie never interacted with them or cared about Karen's interest so they were happy for her that she had a mom like theirs that was invested in her well-being.
Olivia made it down to the tent to make sure that everything was going as planned. She went upstairs to change. She checked on Ayden before heading down to the party.
Fitz was in the nursery. He was talking to him, and it was so cute because Ayden was holding on to his every word. There was no doubt that he loved all of his children, but he didn't get this with Karen & Jerry. So it meant a lot to him to be there for every step of Ayden's life. Funny thing is Olivia noticed the same thing about the kids. They really loved their brother.
Olivia came in and kissed her boys. He looked at her and smiled, "You look beautiful honey. How is our princess doing?"
"She's great. Happy."
"Good. I'm happy for her. I look at Ayden & I try to remember those moments with her. I would find time to be with her. The nanny would bring her to me. I'm just glad I got it right, and didn't completely ruin her. She is going to be great Livvie. She is going to run something one day I know it."
"She will baby and we will both be proud of what we have done for all of our children. Let's go celebrate her."
He kissed Ayden's forehead and they left out.
Karen loved the show "Once Upon a Time" so Olivia went with a Fairy tail theme.
Karen walked in and saw the theme and immediately smiled. Olivia breathed a sigh of relief. The tent was designed to have that whimsical woods look. Similar to Jerry's party the tent had different areas.
Olivia had rented out fog machines to add mystery.
For the drink bar they used dry ice for ice cubes in the drink bowl. It looked like a thick fog was coming out of the bowl. All of their drinks were in goblets.
Olivia had an area for them to take pictures and the background looked like a castle. The lighting made the room look like a fairy tale,
The food was a little more formal due to the theme. They had pasta Primavera, baked ziti, lemon chicken, and chicken Parmesan to choose from. They had a cheese tray, fruit tray, veggie tray, and a selection of hor d'oeuvres.
They set up a pastries bar. In the middle was her cake designed to look like a castle. Karen smiled. Her mom thought of everything.
The icing on the cake was the Olivia hired ballroom dance instructors. The teens enjoyed their lesson. Afterwards the D.J. took over the party.
As a favor each guests a carriage that was filled with personalized M&Ms. They also received a personalized cup with personalized lip butter, chocolate lollipop, mints, compact mirror, and Hershey's Kisses.
Her last big gift of the night was the car her parents got her. It was a 2015 Acura RLX. The car she wanted. It was a Hybrid. Olivia had them to do a customer paint job so it was painted lavender. It had a sunroof.
It was a perfect night for Karen. She had fun with her friends, Jerry, and some of his friends who she liked. Just like his party no media was allowed. It was a private party.
After the party the couple went to check on Ayden who was sleeping peaceful. He looked so content.
The couple got ready for bed and climbed in together. Tonight seem like the first night since he left for South Africa that they were going to bed together, and on the same page.
When he returned they were better but they were busy. They stayed and made sure that every student, and their family were going to be okay.
The school was in Ohio so he promised to return once they hit the trail to check on the town, the students, and the university.
Fitz worked on putting more safety protocols in place to protect students when they traveling and studying abroad. He wanted the United States response to be quicker. Thankfully both sides of the aisle were in agreement.
Olivia missed being in her husband's arms. It was still hard for her to imagine that she didn't want him to touch her. They still hadn't discussed it. She knew he wouldn't bring it up out of respect for her. When he left that night he meant what he said. He could take her being mad at him as long as she was getting the help she needed. She decided to just talk.
"I know that you feel like I don't owe you an apology, but I feel like I do so can you just listen to me for a few moments."
He kissed her forehead and nodded.
"I don't know when or how it happened. I don't think I fully accepted it until you went off. Marrying you and building a life and family with you are the two things I have done right in my life without one single regret. I'm sorry for the position I put you in. Not only covering for me but the distance that I put between us. Dr. Palmer has been helpful in more ways that one. I voluntarily began to work with her in other aspects of my life. I realized the moment I entered her office that it is mandatory for me to be not only a good mother, but wife and woman. Thank you for loving me enough to take care of me when I couldn't & wouldn't take care of myself. From the times you forced me to eat to allowing me to yell and curse at you. Even the times you would wake me to make sure I was alive. I'm embarrassed that I put you through it all, but I know that is what you do when you love someone. If the shoe was reversed I would do the same."
"That's the thing Livvie you did. When I was shot I was dead for all intense and purposes to many. No one was really giving me much of a chance including me. So Dr. Palmer is right and I'm glad you know that I wasn't doing anything other than being your husband. It hurt but I would do it again because I love you. We have one biological child. I'm satisfied."
"I'm not."
Fitz looked at her, "Livvie."
"Fitz, I'm not going to lie and say that I won't be a little nervous the next time I get pregnant, but I can't let that stop me. Dr. Palmer is great and the fact that I now have her as well as we both know the signs allows us to be prepared. Also since it is not my first pregnancy many say it can decrease the chances of me having postpartum. I won't deny us building a family on a what if. I can't be that person anymore baby."
Fitz looked her in the eyes. He could tell she meant it. More than that she could tell that she had researched and had an honest conversation with her doctor. As long as she was comfortable, and her doctor was prepared then he was okay. She mattered more.
"Livvie, what I have now is everything. I can't lose you. Neither can the kids. That being said I can tell that you have done your due diligence. You know you better than anyone, and when the time comes if you want us to have more children I am okay with that. I just want you to know I would never ask you to do it if you are not comfortable."
"I know baby. We will be fine though. We always are when we work together."
"You are right."
She moved her hands down. He knew what she wanted, and he wanted it more. For some reason in the hotel it felt like a stolen moment. He had gotten so use to them being in one of their homes. So tonight felt right.
There was no rush. No crazy sex positions. Just old fashion missionary love making. The emotions made it exhilarating. Every thrust brought life back into their damaged relationship. It wasn't a huge rift, but for them it felt that way.
They spent hours making up for lost time. From the bed to the shower to the counter back to the shower and finally back in bed. The sun was coming up as they drifted off to sleep. They had decided to take a couple of days off. They had some things to finalized before they headed out on the trail for the next year.
The couple spent the weekend as a family. Olivia watched her husband in full daddy mode for the first time with clear eyes. The depression not clouding her thoughts anymore.
It was something that was etched in her memory. From watching him talk to Ayden and Ayden cooing back to him like they were in conversation.
When he smiled he looked so much like his dad. He was a happy child, and it was a blessing to watch him grow. Then to see him with his dad and siblings was something special. Fitz truly was a great dad. It was clear that he loved his children, and they loved him in return.
They were about to board their bus. They would be traveling the country for a year. Olivia decided this for several reasons. Fitz had recently been given the title "The People's President". She wanted to build on that. So for the first six months they would be visiting business, schools, and events. Many of them would be town-hall meetings. Fitz & Sally would be taking questions. Although he was a Republican Fitz had a lot of Democrat tendencies. She wanted to capitalize on that so she was scheduling some events in diners where he would eat lunch and talk to the people. Some would include them as a couple.
Several influential people wanted them at dinners to raise money for the campaign and the party so she was working on scheduling those in as well.
Since Sally planned to run in the next election she also wanted them to see Sally up close and personal. She wanted them to see she was more than a seat filler. When she told Sally of her plans she was ecstatic and grateful. Many had questioned why she was so loyal to the couple. She had a real opportunity to step in and use it to her advantage. Not only was it not the Christian thing to do she wouldn't have wanted them to do it to her if the shoe was on the other foot. Sally was being rewarded for her loyalty. Olivia had promised to take care of her, and she was.
Also she wanted this for personal reasons. She wanted to stand beside her husband. When she picked up the paper or watched the TV they knew he loved her. She wanted them to see their family. A real one where no one was paid to make them look happy and in love.
They would be using the bus for the most part. When it got to the latter stages of the trail they would use Air Force One. The couple didn't want to use it until necessary because it came out of the taxpayers pocket so Olivia tasked her team to make sure they didn't have to use it too often.
Fitz had purchased the bus with their money. It was armored to protect them. After all it was about to be their temporary home he had to keep them safe.
As they were headed out Abby told them to turn on the news where a panel was discussing Olivia running the reelection campaign. It seemed that some people were taking issue with the decision especially Senator Randall. Sally told them to go ahead. She would catch up with them. They were headed to North Carolina first since one of the charities the kids selected home office was there as well as one of the winners.
To their surprise Sally went on the show to defend not only Olivia but women in general. Sally said to the panel that they assembled to breakdown the election, "Gentleman I find it interesting that when Mrs. Grant was helping President Grant win his first election it was fine. It was fine to assist several of you on this panel in your time of need, but now she is an invalid. Her mind is not as sharp because she is the First Lady, a wife, and a mother. So when you became CEOs, politicians, run your businesses while building your families your minds remain sharp right. Sounds like a double standard. Women can't do it all, but men can."
Senator Randall spoke, "Madame Vice President that is not what I meant when I questioned her handling the campaign. She is the First Lady."
Sally replied, "She is. That is a title. Just like when she helped you out when someone tried to blackmail you, and on this same show you sung her praises for clearing your name. Her title then was Crisis Manager. Your title is Senator. You are also a husband and father. Before that you were a excellent lawyer. So now that you are Senator how would you feel if I said you weren't capable of going into the courtroom and winning a case just because you are now a Senator."
He had no comeback.
Sally nodded, "That is my point. I'm not just sticking up for Mrs. Grant but for women all over the world. You gentlemen have started a conversation that should not have taken place. You questioned this woman, because she put back on a hat that she has worn better than most in her field solely because she wanted more than a career. She wanted a husband and children. It just so happens that her husband is our current President. Everyone knows that the President not only loves his wife, but the woman she is. He asked her to run our reelection campaign because he knows she is more than just a First Lady. She was the driving force in getting him elected. She has brains. Millions of women do, and it is deplorable that you diminish that. The First Lady is a fine example to her daughter, my daughter, and millions of young women everywhere. You can be a wife and mother, and still have a successful career if they choose to. Her brain didn't stop working because she wanted more. It grew. The next time you question someone think. Especially when you question women. What if someone said that to your daughter?"
Sally's interview went global. She & the First Lady were praised by women everywhere who stepped up to defend the First Lady as well. Twitter & Facebook filled with videos and messages of career women who had families.
Olivia stopped and did some quick research. She found what she was looking for. She placed some calls, and then she went over to the Secret Service and told them of her plan.
Fitz smiled, "What's the plan?"
She told him and they were on their way. When they finally boarded the bus they were floored at what they saw.
The bus he bought was definitely a house on wheels. Considering they had two teens and a baby to consider they had to make sure if they were traveling the kids were comfortable. This was their home for the next year practically.
The outside of the bus had the campaign slogan.
Inside the bus he spared no was a living room area that included a sofa, two leather recliners, and a coffee table.
The bus had satellite with a 50 inch LED in the salon and 50 inch LED TV in their bedroom. He had them to install a surround sound and BluRay.
There was bunk beds for the kids. For the kids he had them install the Apple TV System installation. A fireplace was put in for Olivia and he upgraded to a Sub-Zero refrigerator. They had Direct TV service.
She could only smile. Her husband was taking care of his family no matter the cost, and she could never get mad at him for that.
They got settled and were on their way. A couple hours later they were in Virginia. Secret Service went in and cleared the building. They were at a Virgina's Business Conference. Olivia had spoken with the director.
They agreed to delay the morning. They called the speakers and told them they were having some technical difficulties, and when the guest arrived they moved them to an area that was not being used and told them the same thing. They had plenty of refreshments for them, and the women were fine. They were networking amongst themselves.
Once the director received the call she had everyone moved back to the original meeting site. The panel was at their table.
The Director said, "For those of you who keep up with politics you know next year is election year. Our First Lady recently was questioned if she was still capable of running a Presidential Campaign. Mind you she ran the first one that got President Grant elected. Vice President Sally Langston defended not only the First Lady but many of you in this room. Reminding men that like them we can have a career and family. I have a confession. There was no technical problems this morning. The President & First Lady called. They are starting to campaign for his reelection. They are on their way to North Carolina, but the First Lady found out about our conference and asked to stop in."
The cheers and applause were almost defeafning. You could barely hear their introduction. The couple walked out to a very happy group of women.
Ariel was in the back capturing the moment. It was surreal to her that she landed this job. Her family was very proud of her, and she was determined to do a good job not only for the Grants and herself, but her parents who sacrificed so she could follow her dreams.
Fitz spoke to the ladies for a couple of minutes, but he turned the floor over to his wife who wowed the women. She gave a short but passionate speech before opening up the floor. The woman picked the brain of one the world's best crisis managers and now First Lady.
What stood out with the women was how down to earth the couple were. They answered personal questions on how they make their relationship work with demanding responsibilities. Olivia provided advice on business.
The stop was a success. Olivia had no idea that it would get better. In that group was a media mogul on the rise. She owned several internet business. One of them was a site that catered to highlighting women in business, and they would blog about various events. She had recorded the entire visit.
She watched how the President stepped aside and allowed the moment to be about Olivia. She watched him and this was not a man who was threatened by his wife. He truly admired and respected her. She noted that in his short speech he called her brilliant, intelligent, and one of the best.
Olivia stuck around for another 30 minutes just taking pictures. Towards the end there was a young woman there who looked like she lacked confidence, but had the ability to do big things. She got closer and heard her tell Olivia she wanted to be like her. She watched as Olivia looked the young woman in the eyes, and said no you want to be you. There are things about me or what I have done that you may want to emulate, but you need to be you. That is what makes you special. She pulled out a mirror and told the young woman. "You are enough. Don't forget that."
Her heart broke when she told Olivia "My mom said I'm not. That I'm foolish to be going to college to a lawyer. With my pedigree I could find a man to take care of me with no problem. It is what she did."
Olivia looked at Fitz. He nodded. He stepped to the side. Secret service cleared the area so they could have some privacy.
She didn't know what the First Lady said, but she you could see a more confident individual. The chance meeting was a game changer for the young woman.
By the time they made it back to the bus Sally was there. Ayden was fussy because he was hungry so she got him and headed to their room.
Fitz eventually made it to the room. He watched her nursing their son. She looked up at him and smiled.
"Does it make me a pervert that I like to watch you nurse him?"
"Because you see my breasts?"
"Honestly, no. You both look so serene. A look he only gives you."
"Then no because I have spent many nights watching you feed him. When he hooks his pinky finger around your finger is everything."
"I'm glad I survived to enjoy times like now."
"Me too baby."
He didn't say anything.
She said, "I told that you woman to follow her dreams. Her mom can't tell her anything different because that is all she knows. She has to love her mom, and accept what her mom has to offer. I got her information so I can keep an eye out. Do you think that is too much?"
"No, that is who you are Livvie. It is one of the many reasons I fell in love."
Ayden was fidgeting everywhere. Fitz went over and took him.
"What is is buddy? Mommy and daddy are not paying you any attention so you are forcing us to."
He smiled. It made them laugh.
They got on the bed and began to play with Ayden who loved it now that he was the center of attention.
He began to yawn so Olivia picked him up. She leaned into her husband and rocked him to sleep while Fitz was singing to the both of them.
He noticed she was sleep to. He carefully got up and put Ayden in the bassinet, and then he got her comfortable and covered her up so she could nap as well.
As he looked at part of his family he smiled. He knew that it was highly likely he would win a second term which he was grateful for. It would allow him to finish what he started, but even if he didn't win he would have been fine because he had everything he had ever dreamed of already on this bus.
A/N-The next couple of chapters will be centered around their time on trail. You will also see the response from Olivia when the woman posts her blog. Right now my outline is five chapters, but it could change.
