A/N-No time jump to start this chapter, but as promised by the end of this chapter you will find out if Fitz won a second term. I love the reviews I have received from my other stories. I love hearing what everything thinks of the new season of Scandal, and who they believe is responsible for the leak.

The holidays were just what everyone needed before heading out on the road again. Their staffs came back refreshed, and ready to get to the finish line.

The sun and fun they had in Hawaii allowed the Grants to wash off a lot of the negative energy they had before the holidays.

Jerry & Karen both were maintaining a 4.0 in school while helping out with the campaign so Fitz & Olivia splurged on the kids. They got the new Iphone6, IPad Pro, Apple Watch, and the Apple Pencil.

They were in their own world playing with their toys as they headed to Texas to surprise the blogger that wrote about Olivia when she went to the Women's Conference in Virginia.

Olivia was in the bedroom playing with Ayden. Fitz had surprised Olivia with all of the Apple gadgets as well except for hers were all 18K gold. She had uploaded some programs and music for Ayden. She watched him laugh at the different animal sounds.

As she watched her son play and laugh she thought about how many times she said to herself that she would never have or want the life she had now.

She told herself that the role of First Lady would be ornamental. That Fitz wouldn't want her when she was no longer his mistress.

Yet none of those things were true. Yes, Mellie was ornamental. A little by choice and a little by force from Fitz who didn't trust her judgement. For her it was different. He not only trusted her judgement, but welcomed and wanted her opinion.

It made being First Lady fun and challenging which was up her alley way. It still didn't compare to being a mother. She loved her children more than life itself, and she went from not wanting children to looking forward to having more with her husband.

She was in her own world. She didn't see Fitz at the door. He had just finished a conference call, and was coming to check on them.

He smiled as he took in his wife. During the holidays she wore her hair in its natural state most of the time which he loved. She relaxed and didn't worry about the campaign.

When they went on vacation they left behind being President and First Lady. They were just Fitz & Liv. They enjoyed spending time with each other, and the kids. Fitz didn't think he ever saw his wife as carefree as she was during the holiday especially in Hawaii. He felt like he was doing his job as her husband.

As he watched her play with Ayden he could tell she was present, but also in her head. Lately he noticed when she played with Ayden she would space out for a moment. When she saw babies or pregnant women she would space off. At first he didn't know why, but he had figured it out. He was just waiting for the right time. He determined that was now.

"You want another baby don't you Livvie?"

She looked up at him shocked that he figured it out. She wasn't sure why she was shocked. They knew each other almost as much as they knew themselves.

"Yeah, but I know the timing is not right, and Ayden is not even one yet."

"I'll make you a deal. Let's win the election. Around Christmas time you can stop taking your birth control pills. We know they have to get out of your system. By the time you get pregnant Ayden will be almost two."

"I like that deal. Thank you."

"No need to thank me. We said we wanted three or four of our own. Our older ones will be leaving us soon. I am not ready to be an empty nester."

She smiled and nodded.

They arrived in Texas and checked into their hotels. They had a busy couple of days in the Lone Star State.

The kids were visiting schools and hospitals. During the holidays they had talked with the kids. They wanted to make sure they were happy.

It was important to both Fitz & Olivia that their kids not feel like they were a part of a freak show. Optics were important, but their health and happiness was more important.

Both Karen & Jerry thanked them for their concern, but they were happy. They enjoyed Sidwell, and looked forward to heading back the next school year, but they knew this year was something they both wanted and needed. They had grown and bonded as a family. They were able to spend quality time with their little brother. Most importantly they enjoyed giving back, and using their young voices.

Teens and young adults were turning out in large numbers to give back. Over the holidays Olivia listened as CNN reported that since Karen & Jerry started their contest organizations were reporting a 43% increase of volunteers between the ages of 13-16, and 52% between the ages of 16-21. She was a proud mama.

Olivia was headed to surprise Angela at her office. Quinn had spoken with Angela's husband and children. They helped the Secret Service vet the staff, and make sure they could secure the building when the First Lady arrived.

Olivia wanted to surprise the staff first, and spend some time talking with them so her husband had arranged to bring her in later.

When Olivia walked in the door everything stopped. Olivia actually laughed. It was like they were trying to see if this was real or were they getting punked.

Olivia still laughing said, "I promise you are not on an episode of Punk'd"

Everyone laugh and that loosen them up. For the next 90 minutes Olivia enjoyed talking with the staff. Olivia had arranged for a spread to be brought in for them. Breakfast and lunch which the staff was excited about.

She had cupcakes delivered from Sprinkles, and the staff couldn't believe that the First Lady of the United States was so down to Earth.

Olivia loved how diverse Angela's staff was. Everyone had such kind words to state about their boss. It was clear they were family.

Olivia was talking with a man and woman. They surprised her by revealing that they were transgender.

The young woman got emotional. Olivia grabbed her hand.

The woman said, "From the moment that I began to understand what people said and thought I felt like a freak. I was called a freak, and I felt so alone. It didn't help that I was black. What I find amazing his how hypocritical the black community can be at times. We have this wonderful grass root movement "Black Lives Matter" going, and I am all for it. I just wish we would look at ourselves. We kill each other. We want respect, but we go kill cops for no reason. We are ostracized in our community. My parents disowned me. I was homeless, but still going to school every day. I was a senior in high school when Angela's daughter was a freshman. I worked odd end jobs to make a few bucks. I got sick with a cold, and it was getting worse. Angela noticed me when she was dropping her daughter off. She pulled over, and offered to help me. I refused and ran. I didn't go to school the next day. Her daughter told her that I was pick on because of my clothes, and if I couldn't find a place to shower I smelled. Angela & her daughter spends the afternoon looking for me, and found me after talking with a store owner. That night she took me to the hospital. I ended up having to be hospitalized because I had a bad infection, and other issues. She took me in. She helped me apply for college, and she paid what the scholarships and grants didn't cover. Angela and her family accepted me. They helped me as I transitioned. Without her I would be dead."

Olivia held her. She could tell she had not gone there in a long time, but telling her allowed the young woman to let it go.

Olivia said, "I am very proud of you. If we get reelected, we have some projects we want to work on that cater to awareness in the LGBT community. I think you have a lot to offer, and would love if and when the time came that you would spearhead one of those projects."

"I would love too."

It now made sense to Olivia why Angela was so involved with youth, and youth in the LGBT community. It warmed her heart even more, and she was even more excited for what she had planned.

Olivia was given word that Angela was on her way. She headed to her office, and waited for her to arrive.

Angela was running a few minutes behind so she didn't pay a lot of attention to her surroundings. She walked in and spoke to her staff.

Nothing looked out the ordinary. The agents were not visible, and Hal was in the office with Olivia. She opened the door to her office, and saw Olivia sitting at her desk.

She dropped the stuff in her hands and said, "Oh Shit!"

Olivia laughed and stood up.

Angela kept shaking her head, and closing her eyes thinking that she was losing her mind.

She turned around and looked at her staff, and then she saw her husband and children. It dawned on her that they knew.

Olivia was now beside her and grabbed her hand, "Your staff was just as surprised as you are when I walked in the door. Your husband did know I was here. We needed to vet everyone, and the agents had to come up with a plan to make sure I was safe."

Angela was still speechless. Finally, she spoke, "You came here to see me."

Olivia nodded, "I came here to see you."

"Why?"

"Why not?"

"I didn't expect anything in return from my post."

"I know. Your blogged touched me. It meant everything to me, and it helped me realize that I was a decent First Lady. That what I was doing mattered. Most importantly I am okay with who I am flaws and all. So the very least I could do was come and thank you. You are truly a wonderful human being."

Angela smiled, "You are welcome. Now that you are here I want to say thank you. I am a better woman, wife, and mother because of you. I see how you handle the public with grace and poise, and it inspires me. I see the love you have for your children, and I know that they are happy. Their smiles are not forced. I am glad that my blogged touched you, but me seeing you touched me. I can't describe it. You felt like the girl next door. Like we could be girlfriends, and do lunch."

Olivia smiled, "I don't have a problem with that."

Angela looked at her like she was crazy, "You realize that I am a nobody."

"I disagree. You are somebody special. Everyone is. Without you there is a young woman that shared a story with me just a little while ago that might not be alive because of you."

Olivia grabbed Angela's hand and they headed back on the floor with her staff. Ariel had been capturing the entire visit.

A short time later Kimberly Mitchell walked in and nodded at Olivia.

Olivia looked at Angela, "Before we leave I have a few surprises for you."

The first was a video they played that showed Jerry & Karen at the same high school that two of Angela's children attended, one graduated from, and her surrogate daughter graduated from.

The kids had got together the day before and fed the homeless. The kids had taken some of their own money as well as donations, and purchased items to give out to the people they fed.

Next the video showed the Grant family at a center that catered to homeless teenagers, and teenagers that were isolated because of their sexual preference. Olivia had made some calls because the center was in need of a huge remodel. Several companies had stepped up to help the cause.

Angela was overwhelmed, "Mrs. Grant this is too much."

"It is not enough, but we have to start somewhere."

The final surprise was a video. Olivia had video chat with her parents. Kimberly's team had recorded the chat. Angela's parents were overseas on a mission project.

They were honored to speak with the First Lady who complimented them on raising a wonderful woman. They thanked her, and shared how impressed they were with her as well as the President her husband was now. They were honest when they said they didn't vote for him the last election, but they would be voting for him this upcoming election.

Before the video chat ended they heard helicopters behind them. Olivia reached out to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundations who sent over supplies.

The couple and the other missionaries were overwhelmed with generosity. Olivia told them to thank the foundation which they would, but the couple and everyone in that room knew that Olivia Grant made that happen.

Angela's husband looked at Olivia. Even he was emotional. His name was Nick. He said, "I knew that there had to be something about you to make my wife break the rules. I grew up in a racist household so for a while I was like my family very closed minded. That changed when I met Angela in college. She never held it against me. She just showed me the error of my ways, and I can never repay her for that. I realize now what it is. You really are alike. You do things not expecting a thing in return. You don't grandstand. You have a title. The title doesn't have you. I know exactly why the President fell in love with you."

Olivia smiled, "Thank you. This visit has meant a lot to me. Thank you for helping to make it happen. This won't be the last time I see you."

Angela was curious, "What do you mean?"

"Well I have every intention of making sure my husband gets a second term. He is the best man for the job. When that happens I expect to see you at the Inaugural festivities. Besides you never know when your services or your staffs might be needed."

They talked a while longer before going their separate ways. Olivia was very happy with how the visit turned out. The Grant family was happy with their stop in Texas. It was the perfect way to start back on the campaign trail.

For the next three months the Grants traveled. Olivia & Fitz traveled, but the focus was on Sally. Olivia did a great job of putting the focus on Sally while still making sure that Fitz was not pushed aside.

Edison wasn't cruising at all. It was like the once the New Year hit everyone was officially over the past when it came to the Grants.

Edison decided not to press his luck. After all, if Olivia knew she would have come after him by now so he would count his blessings that he had finally pulled one over the formidable Olivia Pope Grant.

His girlfriend Marissa Jones was helping him in the polls. She knew her role, and she played it well. Sometimes too well. She felt too good to be true. He let it go. He knew his parents wanted this too bad for him to set him up.

It was now April and it was the night of the White House Correspondent's Dinner. Edison didn't normally attend, but he wanted to ruffle Fitz's feather's a little by showing up.

All eyes were on the President & First Lady when they stepped out. Unlike when he was married to Mellie there was no space between them. They were happy and in love.

You could see it. Edison watched in disgust as they made their way inside. Fitz looked dashing in a Hugo Boss tuxedo, and Olivia was the belle of the ball in her Noir J Mendel Layered Silk Degrade Gown.

The night was fun. Olivia enjoyed the dinner, because it wasn't so uptight. Kevin Hart had come in, and helped her husband look funnier than he actually was.

The couple was walking around when Edison walked over with his girlfriend.

Edison nodded, "President, First Lady"

They nodded "Edison"

"I would like to introduce you to my girlfriend Marissa Jones. Marissa, you know President Grant & his wife First Lady Olivia Grant."

"It is a pleasure to meet you."

"Likewise."

Later on in the evening they were on the dance floor. Olivia had just danced with a Congressman when Edison asked her for a dance.

She accepted.

Shortly into the dance he said, "You actually look happy."

"Because I am."

"You love throwing this in my face don't you."

"No, I don't think about you unless I have to. When I do it is related to the campaign. My husband wouldn't like that very much."

"I won't tell."

"I bet, but the truth is you don't matter to me. Even when we were together you didn't matter. Well, I'll be honest at first you did. Then I realized you and your parents loved me because I checked every box when it came to finding the perfect wife. Except you didn't bank on me not bowing down to you."

"That's nonsense Olivia."

"No it's not Edison. See what you never understood was that it was never about being a politician's wife. It was being your wife that bothered me. You suffocated me. I know you what you really want to ask. Why him?"

"Yeah I do"

"He loves me. Before you open up your mouth to say you loved me don't. You did, but with rules. My flaws bothered you. My intelligence bothered you. The fact that I was a proud black woman bothered you. The fact that I refused to be some Stepford wife bothered you. Fitz is the love of my life. I can't sleep without him. I can't breathe without him. I wait for him. I watch for him. I exist for him. I wanted difficult, life changing, extraordinary love. I got it with him. When you come for one of us you come for both of us."

Olivia walked away.

Later on that evening she was at the bar getting a glass of wine when Marissa walked over. Olivia looked at her and smiled.

Marissa said, "Let him go."

Olivia looked at her and laughed, "You need to tell your boyfriend to let it go. I am happily married to the President of the United States. We have a family. Why would I want to downgrade?"

They headed back on the trail. Edison was still behind, but he had gained some ground by proposing to Marissa. He had also done some smear campaigns that helped a little.

They had scheduled two debates. The first one was too close to call, but it narrowed Fitz's lead. The second debate he clearly won, but Edison still had a fighting chance.

Fitz was scheduled to speak at a Town Hall meeting the next day. It was a group of women, and Olivia knew this event was critical.

Edison knew that as well so he & Marissa did an interview that talked about their love story, and blasted Fitz & Olivia. Calling them dishonest and questioned their ethics.

Olivia spent most of the evening calming Fitz down. At first she tried words and reasoning, but he no longer cared. It was personal now. So Olivia pulled out the big guns.

Yep, she had sex with her husband. Actually she let him take all of his frustrations out on her and her body.

She was back stage with her husband, and was grateful her husband had taken care of her this morning. She was walking, but it was evident Fitz had worked her over. He was still pissed.

Olivia made him sit down, and she slowly climbed in his lap.

For the first in a while he looked at her.

She smiled, "There is my husband."

"I'm sorry Livvie."

"Don't ever apologize for loving me, and wanting to take care of me. I know you want to kill him, but we got this. I got this. Trust me he isn't going to win. Tonight you are going to change the conversation."

"What do you mean?"

"You are speaking with women, and women hate to get played. All you have to do is show them who you are. I have the rest handled."

Fitz was still unsure by what she meant when she said she would handle it. After they handled Mellie for good Olivia had sat down, and came up with a plan. She wouldn't share all the details. Telling him plausible deniability. In the past that would have worried him, but now they were married and had a family. He knew she wasn't going anywhere.

After a kiss she left and joined the audience. She stood in the back. That way if he needed moral support he could look at her while still being engaged with the audience.

Fitz walked out and Olivia smiled.

At the last minute Fitz ditched his suit jacket and rolled up his shirt sleeve. He looked at his wife, and he was glad she approved.

He thought about what she said. He was about to be grilled, and he wanted the women to feel comfortable. They were just chatting about issues.

After a brief speech Fitz opened the floor.

The woman stood at the mic, "You talk about how important family matters are important to you. Senator Davis in a recent interview insinuated that it is all an act to cover up you and your wife's dirty little secrets. Why should I believe that family really matters to you, and this is not another cover-up?

Olivia was right. They opened the door for him, and he was going to walk through it.

Fitz said, "To some degree Senator Davis is right. My life is fully of dirty little secrets. Politics can be brutal. I knew that personally I had what it took to be President, but it was clear that the public couldn't see how important family mattered to me, because of my marriage to my first wife. The truth is that it was a political arrangement. We never dated, got to know each other, and build a foundation. Truth is that we were a transaction. Our background laid the perfect foundation to make it to the White House."

Fitz sighed and composed himself.

"When I met my current wife I realized for the first time that love should never be a transaction. It is natural. As natural as each breath we take. I know that the answer I should give is that I was wrong. It shouldn't have happened. It was a mistake, but I can't or won't say that. Meeting my wife was the best thing that ever happened to me. Not only did I find my soul mate, but my oldest two finally got a mom. My wife & I will admit we could have handled things different, but she is no dirty little secret. She is the love of my life. I am a man in love with an incredible woman. Senator Davis likes to pretend he is clean. He likes to forget his indiscretions. He who is without sin cast the first stone. Family is everything to me which is why I had already divorced my wife before I was shot. As a father I had to do right by my children even if it is cost me my dream. If I don't get a second term I will be disappointed, but I still have my family. A wife who loves me, and three wonderful children who need and depend on me. "

Another woman asked, "Do you think that the reason that the Senator keeps running spear campaigns against you is because of his past with your wife, and why haven't you retaliated back?"

"I can't answer why Senator Davis is running the ads or says the things he does. You would have to ask him that. In regards to if I think it has anything to do with my wife I hope not. It is common knowledge that they were together before I ever entered into the picture, and that he cheated on her with a colleague. Senator Davis is an intelligent human being so I am going to give him the benefit of the doubt. Finally, I don't respond back to Senator Davis because it would be ignorant. If he feels he needs to say these negative things to win the election go ahead. That is his right, but I am secure with who I am, what I've got, and where I am going. No need to talk. I answer with my actions."

Just like that the tide had turned. The rest of the session went well. The women enjoyed speaking with the President. He answered every question fully. There were more questions about his marriage to Olivia and Mellie. He was truthful for the most part.

Olivia left to go check on Ayden. Fitz passed with flying colors. He walked off the stage on top of the world. It felt good really standing up for himself, and his wife. He meant every word he said.

When he opened the door she had a sleeping Ayden in her arm as she watched the news. Just like she said the tide had turned. Reporters outside of the building spoke with several women, and every single woman said they believed Fitz was telling the truth. More importantly the women said they felt he made the right decision especially for the sake of the children.

It wasn't just the women at the meeting who agreed. 75% of the people they polled said they would have done the same thing the President did, and 80% believed the President after they aired his response.

They headed back on the trail. June was Ayden's birthday, but they decided to do something small. They had stops in Florida come September. When Jerry & Karen were babies and toddlers Fitz took them to Disneyland to celebrate their birthday. He wanted to do the same for Ayden so one of the days they were there he had his calendar blocked out so he could spend the whole day at Disney World and Magic Kingdom with his family to celebrate Ayden's birthday. He had already called and paid to shut down the parks for the day.

The next couple of months were bliss for the Grants. They were gaining back those points they lost to Edison. They were happy and enjoying life.

Edison on the other hand was floundering. People were officially over him trying to bad mouth the President & First Lady. That door was officially closed.

It became clear that he didn't have much else to offer. He was engaged, and Marissa did as he asked but nothing more or less.

When they had sex it was like she was a robot. There was no passion or love. While Edison would never admit this out loud he now understood how unhappy Fitz was when he was with Mellie. Arranged relationships should be banned. They lead to heart ache. He had to find a way out of this relationship. It would be easy if he lost the election, and unless a miracle happened he was going to lose. He had to keep fighting. This was Fitz's second term so he needed to build momentum to carry over to the next Presidential election.

It was one month before the election, and they were back in D.C. Fitz was a little concerned that Olivia didn't have them traveling non-stop. During his first run. He was everywhere, and they lived on the jet that last month.

Olivia assured him that wouldn't be necessary. He wanted to ask her, but he didn't. He trusted his wife. There were several bills that were in the final phases, and he focused on those like his wife asked.

Fitz was up at 5 in the morning to get an early start. Now that he was married to Olivia, and they had a family he wanted to do everything he could to be healthy. So he made sure to workout at least three times a week.

After working out he showered and headed down to the Oval. He made sure not to disturb Olivia. She had been working on some projects all week, and had barely slept. The kids & him begged her to take a night off. She promised them that it was the last very late night, and she even had her schedule cleared for the next two days so she could relax. She also wanted to spend time with the kids and Fitz. Since getting married they rarely didn't go without seeing each other unless they were traveling, but if they were in the White House they would find time.

Fitz was sitting at his desk when he heard breaking news. That always got his attention as President. He turned the volume up.

He was in shock. A former Congressman and very influential Civil Rights Advocate was being charged with several felonies including aggravated sexual assault, aggravated sexual assault of a child, sexual exploitation of a minor, and lewd and lascivious conduct. One of his victims was his own daughter, and Edison's current fiancée Marissa.

As Fitz watched the report something in his gut said that his wife had a hand in what was going on. When she eventually made it down to the office she discussed drafting a statement if they wanted a comment from them. She seemed otherwise indifferent so he decided not to bring it up.

They kept it moving. They were two weeks away from the election. Olivia didn't have Fitz traveling anyone. Sally still had stops. Once again the focus would be on her while be a team player to get them re-elected.

Fitz knew that their team was confused, and in some ways he was. He however trusted his wife. Before she was First Lady she was Olivia Pope. She was the reason he got a first term. He knew something was coming. She made Edison a promise, and thus far she had not done anything. She was going to blow him out of the water. One day he realized that whatever she planned it would be so big that he wouldn't need to kill himself traveling. He was going to win, and it would be above board.

He was right. A week before the Election several tapes were leaked. Edison had violated several campaign laws which was bad. What was worse was the video showing that he didn't meet Marissa. No she was practically sold like a piece of meat. A deal brokered between Edison, Marissa's father, and Edison's father.

Olivia walked into the Oval office. Fitz turned to look at her, and it hit him like a ton of bricks.

Across town Edison was freaking out. Marissa was packing her bags. There was a knock at the door. Huck & Charlie were there to get Marissa, and make sure that no harm came her way. Charlie gathered her things.

Edison was confused. Why did this look planned? Why was she so calm? Where was this scared woman who acted like she couldn't tie her own shoes.

Marissa looked at him, "You should be really careful who you broker deals with. I attended college with Olivia. Undergraduate which is why you never met me. We also went to the same boarding schools for years. When you tried to screw her over by getting the President's ex-wife involved you fucked up. She found out before I did my father's plan to pawn me off. I was going to kill myself, but she convinced me to go through with it. Keep my head down and play stupid, because that is what you like. That confrontation at the bar was fake. I saw you lurking so I threw the jab so you would think I believed your lies about Olivia still wanting you. By the time the election Olivia promised I would be done with you and my father would never touch me again. You of all people know that you never come after anything that Olivia loves. Anyway it has been fun. My mother & I am going away for an overdue vacation."

Edison was stunned. Olivia had the upper hand the whole time. Not once had she tipped her hat at all. Even more shocking was that she used Marissa. He had no idea that her father had been molesting her since she was 8. He knew he treated his wife more like a slave that a spouse, but he was just pure evil. He had made a deal with the devil, and he was about to go down.

Back at the White House Olivia sat down on the sofa. She knew her husband was beginning to catch on that she was up to something, but she didn't say anything to protect him. Plausible deniability. Her gladiators had been helping her carry out her plan to take down Edison. She knew she was about to get yelled at, and she was prepared.

Fitz sat across from her, "You know Marissa don't you?"

"Yes, we met at boarding school and we went to college together."

"Did you know about her father?"

"I always suspected he did something to her. She hated to go home, but in boarding school and college that is not a red flag. Kids hate being paraded around for optics, and in college you are ready to sow your wild oats. My gut always thought it was more, but she wouldn't let me in. When Edison came after us Huck & Quinn investigated him. That is how I found out that his father was trying to find him a wife. When they showed me a picture of Marissa I froze. Huck set up a safe house, and we met. She was ready to end her life. I convinced her to play along. Not just for our sake, but to allow me time so Huck & Charlie could investigate her dad. I promised her that if she went along with the plan that when it was all over that her dad would be sent away for a long time. She wanted out, but she wanted her mom out too. I agreed."

"Okay Livvie."

She looked up, "Okay. You aren't going to lay me out."

Fitz smiled and opened up his arms. She sat on his lap, and he held her. Her heart was beating fast. He just held her until they began to breath in sync. Once he knew she was relaxed he spoke.

"I knew you were up to something when our schedule wasn't as jam packed as it was when I ran the first time. I told our staff it was because I had won once before, and I didn't need to prove myself the same way. I knew however you were executing a plan. When Marissa's father was arrested my gut said you had a hand in it, but you were so indifferent. However, the leaked tapes told me my gut was right. I'm not mad. I'm sure you told them to get the information by any means necessary, and you were protecting me. You killed two birds with one stone, and I am glad that you helped two women out of a really bad situation."

Olivia faced her husband, "I want you to know I love you. In the past I wouldn't have thought twice about going behind your back. I discussed it with the team, and we decided it was best not to share everything. I really was thinking of you. I was thinking of us. I only run to you, and our children now."

He whispered, "Good. I think you still need to be punished for keeping secrets. You also need to practice. In a couple of months, we are back in the game for baby number two, and child number four."

Olivia grinned, "Punish me Daddy."

Punish he did in the most pleasurable ways.

As expected Fitz won the election by a landslide.

Edison was arrested the day after the election. He was in a room waiting for his lawyer to arrive. Instead Olivia walked in.

Edison sat there with no emotions. "I gave my concession speech already."

"You did. I just wanted to stop by to remind you who you are dealing with. See the woman that took you down wasn't the First Lady of the United States; she wasn't Olivia Pope. She wasn't even Olivia Grant."

Edison laughed, "Who was she then."

She leaned across the time, "Olivia the wife and mother. See you are petty like Mellie, and when you brought Mellie back to life you hurt my kids. Fitz & I can deal with the crap that is thrown at us, but you didn't take into consideration my children. Those same children that I took to see their mother when I was pregnant, because they wanted to see if she loved them at all. She barely acknowledged them. All she wanted to talk about was how bad things were for her. The same woman who tried to kill a man, because he didn't want her anymore. Forget the title that man almost died, and those kids would have lost the only parent that ever loved them."

Edison sat back realizing the harm he caused.

"David is going to give you a chance to be honest. By that I mean that I know about all the illegal activities you are involved in. If you help David he is going to help you, and you will forget that you knew Marissa. When we reach out to Marissa, and invite her to the White House if you are asked for comment you will be supportive. Your days as a Senator are over, but if you play by the rules you'll be able to go back to practicing law in a couple of years."

Edison nodded, "Fine Olivia."

Olivia made it to the door and turned around, "When this over and you complete your short sentence leave the Beltway. My husband and I don't want to see you. Don't pick Vermont, California, or Hawaii as home. Down the road if we move to the same state you might want to pack up and move, because I won't be able to tame my husband."

Edison shuttered at the statement.

Olivia walked out. She was headed home to get some more practice sessions in with her husband. In a couple of months, she looked forward to expanding their family.

A/N- I do hope that I shocked at least one person. I really did try to pull a mini Shonda with the twists and turns in this chapter.

FYI, I just want to remind people that my stories contain my beliefs and thoughts. I respect and understand everyone won't agree with me. That is fine. It is called life, and we live in a free country. So no need to try to debate my thoughts. I respect others, and I only home that is given to me.

Next update will be Inauguration Festivities.

As a side note. I loved that I was right which never happens when watching Scandal, but I knew Lizzie Bear leaked those photos. When she realized that Olivia would be Queen she knew she had to do something. I knew it after she read Mellie.

Until next time…
