A/N-Guys LitLover101 used to write Scandal fanfiction, but has branched out and wrote a book. If you get a chance check out the book. It is called On Being a First Mistress. It is a good read. I downloaded to my Kindle.

Flashback-Campaign Trail (First Campaign)

Olivia tried to distance herself from Fitz because she was falling in love with him. She was falling in love with a married man, and the truth was that married men didn't leave their wives for their mistresses.

They were on the trail. Stop after stop. Fitz was putting in the work, and slowly but surely he went from being Governor Grant son of Senator Grant to creating his own legacy.

At the same time Olivia was reminded every time Fitz & Mellie were in a room how much they hated each other. This was no normal married. She had seen political marriages before, and although they might not be in love they were often friends. They might even have partners on the side, and the other knows but they still respected each other.

In this instance the only person that Mellie respected was Mellie, and that was debatable. She damn sure had no respect for the staff, her children, or husband. She had tried Olivia from time to time, but she knew if she wanted to be First Lady she needed Olivia so she was the one person that Mellie was careful with. Not because she respected her, but she needed her which was something she was never going to admit.

Deep down she was beginning to feel bad for shutting Fitz out. It was affecting their performance. She was surprised that Cyrus wasn't on her case, but with Mellie there it was easy to place all the blame on her. She came in one morning, and her staff told her that Mellie was gone. She was going to be away from Fitz for the next two weeks. The staff was celebrating.

They got on the bus to head to their next stop. Olivia tried to work, but a migraine was taking shape. Fitz noticed she wasn't feeling good so he stepped in. Olivia silently thanked him.

When they arrived to the hotel one of her assistants was tasked with getting the keys to the rooms. She came back and handed them out.

Fitz looked at her, "We got this."

She was shocked that he knew something was wrong. She could look like warmed over milk, and Edison wouldn't notice a thing. She silently thanked him before heading to her room.

A couple of hours later she lay in bed. She was in pain, and couldn't think when there was a knock at her door. Not the door to the room, but the adjoining room door.

She used the little strength she had opened the door. She was shocked to see Fitz.

He smiled, "I didn't plan for our rooms to be side by side."

"I know."

He took her hand and helped her back to bed. He pulled the covers back.

"I called Abby. I remember you told me you had migraines. Although you don't get them as often. The last time we were together I didn't see you take any medicine so I called Abby. She relayed the medicine, and I called a friend of a friend who refilled your prescription. I also remember you said it makes you sick so I bought you the wonton soup you like. I told Cyrus you were sick. He said he would check on you tomorrow, but he would cover. Please take it Olivia."

She looked up when he said Olivia. He knew why she looked at him.

"I won't lie. I am falling for you. I respect you. You want me to back off so I will."

"I'm scared Fitz, but I am miserable without you."

"Me too Livvie."

She smiled and then she winced.

"Let me take care of you."

"You have been since you noticed I was sick."

"Liv, I know that this is not ideal, but you are not a game or a conquest to me. I have thought about quitting, but that doesn't feel like the right answer. I don't want to lose you. I enjoy everything about you. The sex we have is incredible, because of who you are."

"I feel the same way. When I am not feeling like warmed-over milk can we talk?"

"After tomorrow everyone is off until Tuesday before we head to Iowa for a week. I was going to head to Wisconsin to relax. A friend of mine has a vacation home. Maybe you could come down. You know um…"

"Fitz, land your plane."

He laughs.

"I'll rent a car. I'll be more than happy to spend the weekend with you on one condition."

"What's that Liv?"

"That you tell me the story behind Wisconsin."

Fitz smiled, "Deal!"

End Flashback

The couple had boarded the plane. Fitz was still in a state of shock. That weekend happened so long ago. So early on in their relationship. At that time, they were still so unsure of each other.

They had been in the air for a few minutes when he finally looked at his wife.

"You remembered."

"I remembered."

"I don't know what to say."

"There is nothing you need to say honey. Time and time again you put me first. You make all of my dreams and desires come true. I need you to know that I am willing to do the same."

"Livvie, you gave up your life and career for me. You are the mother of my children. You have dealt with Mellie time and time again. That is more than enough."

" Never baby. Time and time again I doubted you and us. You stayed with it in order to get us to this point. I know we both broke promises, and we hurt each other. We know I did it more, and often times the hurt you inflicted on me was payback for the hurt I caused you. We have moved past it. We are happy, but I need to show you that I am just as invested in you as you are me. Let me do this. You just relax and enjoy yourself."

Fitz wanted to disagree, but whatever she planned she had put time and effort into. He didn't want to spoil it. So he agreed.

The couple made it to the bedroom where their bags were located. They enjoyed a shower together before changing.

They made it back to their seat. It was only a two-hour flight.

Fitz looked at his wife laughing, "Now I know why you hate surprises."

She started laughing already knowing the answer to her question, "So that means no more."

"Not a chance!"

They landed. Tom was with them. Hal wanted to stay behind with the kids. No doubt the agents were able to care for the children, but Tom & Hal were more invested so Olivia was all too happy to switch the agents around.

During the drive the couple talked about the inauguration. Olivia could see how much happier he was from the moment he woke up. Guilt crept in for a moment, because she never listened to him when he said that he was a better man and President with her by his side. They were better for each other, and today showed it.

During the drive they pulled out their phones. The country loved them even more. They went on the campaign, and won it on their own.

Commentators were showing how engaged the couple were with each other, their children, and Americans especially Olivia.

There were pictures of Olivia kissing babies, when she saw older people especially in wheelchairs she would go over and hug them, and the veterans were greeted by both of them.

They then looked at some pictures from the balls. They were saying that Olivia was the sexist mom alive.

Fitz smiled, "I definitely agree with them."

Olivia leaned into him, "You are bias!"

"Maybe, but it is the truth."

They talked a little more until Fitz noticed them slowing down.

He looked at the window, and his breath hitched for two reasons. One the person standing outside the house, and two the house itself.

Flashback

Fitz was unsure if she would keep the deal to drive down to the cabin for a couple of days. Her migraine was bad, but he took care of her. She didn't want for a thing.

Before he went down to work he would order room service. He would come over to her room with something light. He would come over get her up to take a shower. He had even washed her hair.

He would lotion her before putting her in a clean pair of pajamas. He made sure she took her medicine, and put something on her stomach.

To him it was natural. It is what you do for your partner, and while the outside wouldn't appreciate that he was doing this with his mistress he didn't see it that way. Mellie was the mistress. Hanging on to his coattail. He knew that at some point he was going to be forced to make a choice, and he had a feeling that it would surprise many who he would choose.

He was taken out of his thoughts by the phone, "Hi"

Olivia smiled, "Hi"

She could tell that he was nervous, and thought she was calling to tell him that she wasn't coming. That was the furthest thing on her mind.

"I was calling to let you know that I am getting on the road. I'm coming Fitz."

"You are."

"I most certainly am."

They talked for a few more minutes before hanging up the phone.

There was never a doubt in her mind she was going. She could lie all she wanted, but she was in love with this man. He had taken care of her when she was sick. No boyfriend or fiancée had taken care of her like he did.

She had barely said two words after their conversation at check-in. When he couldn't check on her he had Cyrus and her assistant check in. She knew it was more like a progress report, but she didn't mind. She was letting go. While they both had a lot to lose the truth of the matter he had more. Sure in people's eyes she was his mistress, but deep down she knew she wasn't especially in his eyes and those were the only ones that mattered.

The drive was peaceful. It took her about three hours to get there.

She was curious why he chose Wisconsin. He was born and raised in California. She imagined him at a beach house, Cape Code, or the Hamptons so she was curious why here. There had to be some significant meaning.

They talked a lot about his family especially after his dad died, and Wisconsin never came up.

The GPS took her to a nice log cabin. It had a rustic but welcome feel.

As she got out the car Fitz met her at the door. She ran into his arms. Something that surprised the both of them.

He held her tightly, "I am so glad that you are here. "

She pulled back and kissed him, "I wouldn't want to be anywhere else."

He went and grabbed her bags, and they finally made it into the cabin.

Fitz looked at Olivia, "I prepared one of the guest's bedrooms for you Liv. Although I would love for you to stay in the room with me I understand I am turning your world upside down. I am sorry."

She took one of her bags, "I am falling in love with you. I can't help it, and I am no longer going to try and stop it. These next four days are ours. Let's enjoy them together. Show me our room."

Fitz smiled and gladly showed her their room.

He helped her unpack. She was surprised that he had already made room for her in the room in the event she came. She was still surprised by how neat and orderly he was, but then she remembered that he was in the Navy.

After getting settled they headed to the kitchen to cook. Olivia put her hands in the back of his jean pockets.

He smiled, "Are we having a Bodyguard moment?"

She laughed, "Well since you always say you will protect me so I thought why not start now."

"I will Livvie."

She nodded. "So are you going to tell me why you decided to come here?"

"I will during dinner. For right now just know that the house belongs to my best friend Matt's family. Matt's parents are black and Democrats. They were successful lawyers, and I loved them because they came from old money but you would never know. Matt is still in the Navy. He is part of the JAG Corps. I respected his dad, because he let him decide his own path. They didn't force their ideas on him. We remain close to this day. He can't stand Mellie. He is on a special assignment which is why you haven't met him yet. One day I hope to pay it forward. I think he would really like you, and one day I hope you get to meet him. They became my surrogate parents."

End Flashback

Matt was standing outside of the cabin. Fitz was in shock. He had talked to him over the phone. Fitz had nominated him to be the Judge Advocate General of the Navy. Matt had accepted, but called at the last minute to say that there was an emergency at work and he couldn't leave to be at the inauguration.

The three made their way inside where it was warmer, and the two men shared a long emotional embrace. It has been too long.

Olivia finally was able to meet Matt in person. After all the talks they were face to face so they also shared a warm embrace.

Matt reached out to Fitz after he was released from the hospital. They had talked, and he had spoken to Olivia over the phone. They both had demanding jobs so they had only spoken a handful of times since they had been in contact with each other again.

Fitz knew that Matt was getting older, and wanted to be stateside. He wanted a job that motivated him, but allowed him to spend more time with his family. Fitz thought this job was the perfect solution. The position is for four years which Matt found perfect, because after that he planned to retired.

Fitz finally looked at his friend, "I have a feeling that there was no work emergency."

"No, I spoke with your lovely wife who by the way I love. I definitely will accept those dinner invitations at the White House now."

They all laughed.

"Anyway she wanted to do this for you, and we have been in contact for some time to make this house special, and you'll see why. You can't tell in the dark, but you are just on the other side of us. Mom and dad bought all this land years ago. When I asked why they didn't have a reason. They said one day we will know. When Olivia called mom, dad, and I we readily agreed to sell the land to her so that she could build the cabin. Your wonderful wife wanted all the family here so they are at the cabin. So my friend we will catch up this weekend."

Fitz looked at Olivia in shock.

"Livvie, this is not a rental."

"No honey this is your own custom build cabin in Wisconsin. You can bring the kids here. They can meet Matt's kids, and you can share your past with the kids.

Flashback

Despite how complex Olivia seemed she really was a simple girl. Other than wine and popcorn her favorite meal was a Caesar salad, lasagna, and strawberry cheesecake.

He had made all three for her, and she was in heaven as she enjoyed the meal. They talked about anything and nothing. While they were great in bed this is what she truly loved about her relationship with Fitz. She never had to dummy herself down with him. He loved to learn new things from her, and that was new. Edison always wanted to be the smartest one in the room.

After dinner they grabbed their wine and headed over to the fireplace. Fitz had already put blankets and pillows down.

He sat down first, and she sat between his legs. It felt so natural. For a moment it tugged at her, but she promised herself that she was going to enjoy herself. She knew at some point their relationship was going to end, and she needed this in her memory bank.

Fitz began, "My home in Santa Barbara has no good memories. It is where my mom died. It is where I saw my father bring in countless women in with no regard for my mom or I. Countless nannies coming in and out because my father didn't know how to treat people."

He took a deep breath and she squeezed his hand to let him know that it was okay to tell her. She knew that he hadn't shared this with anyone.

"When I met Matt at boarding school he was a breath of fresh air. We clicked immediately. Of course everyone knew who I was, and I liked that he didn't kiss my ass. He was his own person. My dad only wanted me around when the cameras were on otherwise he didn't want to see me. The holidays people spent with their families so he had no need for me. When Matt's family invited me to come home with them for Thanksgiving my dad tried to say no. Act like we were this happy family, but they knew otherwise. He was never there for my competitions unless he needed some pictures. Matt's mom made it known I was coming home or she would have to say those pictures painted a false picture. Before you they were the only ones that stood up for me."

She caressed his cheek.

"This home has been my happy place. This home has brought me peace. This home is where I am myself. Sure I love the sun and fun, but I love peace and happiness more. This living room is where Matt & I told his family what was going on with us. They wanted to know. This house is where I learned how to be a man. I learned that I can make excuses or I can stand up and fight."

He got quiet and she turned to see him crying.

She turned and hugged him, "Why the tears?"

"Because I love you. I made excuses. The one thing Mr. & Mrs. Brown taught me not to do. As much as I loved how proud they were of me I still chased after the dream to make my dad happy, and it never worked. I married a woman I knew I would never love as a partner, and now I have you in this position. Now you have made me really want to be President. Now I am stepping up and not making excuses, but in order to win I need to remain with Mellie."

She leaned in and kissed him. "I don't know how this is going to work or if it is going to work, but I promised myself that I wouldn't worry about it. I not only want this weekend, but I need this weekend to be as perfect as possible. So I need you to do the same. We are both doing something we have never done, and while it is wrong and bad it is also feels right so this weekend this is our happy place. It needs to remain that way."

He nodded, and that began round one of many passionate rounds of love making.

End Flashback

Fitz was overwhelmed. She had built him a house. She remembered him telling her this was his happy place, and now he could bring his kids here because this was home. Even better he was on the same property where he was happy. His friend was back. No his family was back.

Matt smiled, "I am going to get out of here. We will talk my friend. It is good to have you home brother."

"The same. I am excited to be here with Livvie, but I wish you could meet the kids especially Karen & Jerry. I have told them about you."

Olivia grabbed her hand, "The kids will be here this weekend. I knew you would want them to see the kids, plus I talked to Mr. & Mrs. Brown on the phone and they want to meet them."

"You talked to Mom & Dad."

She smiled, "I did and mama threated me. She said if I called her Mrs. Brown one more time she would beat me when she saw me."

They all started laughing knowing that is something she would say. They talked for a few more minutes before Matt headed out.

Fitz turned to look at his wife. She smiled, "I have never forgotten that weekend. How happy we both were especially you. I didn't know if we would get to the place we are, but when we did I knew about this part of your life that no one else knew. When we married I had to make it a reality. I love Vermont. That is our dream, but his place has its own meaning."

"Livvie, I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am for so many different reasons. As we stand in the living room it reminds me so much of mom and dad's cabin."

"They are giving the home to Matt when they pass. They said the house has too many memories to donate to charity. They have remodeled some so I used the same builder. By the way I only paid $484 for the land. They said we were family."

"Now do you understand why I loved them."

"Yes, I do. They were really helpful. They knew that I couldn't meet with the builders as much as needed or you might get suspicious. Since dad is retired and he knew the builders he came."

"Good, I am sure mom still has some choice words for me."

"No, she told me that sometimes bad things or wrong things happen in order for the good to come. All that matters to her is that we got it right. You ready to see more of the house."

"Yes honey."

The house was custom built, but had some features of the house owned by the Brown family. Mainly the character of the house. The stone work, the six fireplaces, and the vaulted ceiling. She also had the house built with floor-to-ceiling windows that offered panoramic views. The wood that the cabin was built with was the hand-peeled Montana standing lodge pole pine with hand selected logs. The cabin had five bedrooms and six baths.

There was a deck, a screened in porch, a huge kitchen for them to cook in, and a game room for them to enjoy as a family. Before heading to the bedroom she showed him the custom made dinner table. He talked about how much he enjoyed the dinners. There was debates and life lessons, and now they had one to do with their family.

Fitz was in tears, "I thought winning reelection with you by my side was the best thing ever, but this is better. Vermont is our home, but this vacation home is something special Livvie."

"Your happiness means everything to me. There is nothing I won't do for you baby. I told you that weekend that your secret was safe with me. I would never tarnish it for you no matter what happened to us."

"Thank you honey,"

Olivia decided to design their master room a little different. It had a rustic feel with a king size bed. They had a fireplace, sitting area, and private balcony.

"I love it Livvie. Please tell me this is all true."

"It is all true, but I have another surprise for you."

Fitz wanted to say no, but she had truly made him the happiest man, and he knew that with her by his side his next terms would be everything he wanted it to be. Until then he was focusing on his wife, and this weekend the children.

She handed him a pair of Zimmerli silk boxers. The boxers with navy blue with red rockets on them.

"Can you change in one of the other bathrooms, and meet me over at the couch?"

"Sure Livvie."

He went and changed, and did his nightly routine. He made it to the couch. On the table was his favorite scotch along with a bottle of wine.

Flashback

Fitz woke up the next morning alone. He wasn't sure how they made it from the floor to the bedroom, but they did and she was nowhere to be found.

He got up to do his morning routine when he smelled the breakfast, and he smiled. He quickly finished his routine.

When he made it to the kitchen he stopped. First he noticed that she was wearing one of his shirts, and she had never looked sexier. Her hair was in its natural state. Something very few people were privy to. Finally, she was singing. He wasn't even listening to what she was singing, but the fact she could sing.

Finally, he said, "Is there anything you can't do?"

She looked up from the stove and smiled at him, "One day I'll think of something, but for right now no."

They laughed

"Livvie your voice sounds like an angel."

"Not really!"

"Yes really. I hope to hear more in the future."

She smiled, "Maybe one day I'll record something just for you."

He knew she was being sarcastic, but he hoped that one day it would come true.

End Flashback

Fitz was fixing his drink thinking about where they were. He had not been back to Wisconsin since the weekend they spend together during the first campaign trail. It was the best weekend of his life.

They had gone through so much to be together, and some would say the cost was high. It had almost got him killed, but his endgame was always her. He would do it again and again if she was his.

He was in thought when he heard the door open. He gasped at the site of his wife. She was standing there in a fire engine red Stella McCartney Isabel floating chemise with matching panties. It was semi-sheer lace with silk satin shoulder straps, and a deep V-neckline. She also had on the matching robe.

Fitz smiled, "Wow, you look sexy."

"Thank you. Do you remember when we spent the weekend in Wisconsin, and you heard me sing?"

"Something I will never forget. I told you to record something. You said you would, but your tone said never."

"What if I told you I did?"

"Don't play with me Livvie!"

"I'm not. You want to listen."

"Very much so."

"Well get ready for a show."

She turned the system on. It was a song called Rocket off of Beyoncé last album. She had called her, and told her she wanted to do something special for her husband. While they were on separate stops she went into the studio to record it.

(Olivia began singing not only in the background, but in front of him as she climbed in his lap. She will never forget the look on his face.)

Let me sit this ass
On you
Show you how I feel
Let me take this off
Will you watch me
Yes mass appeal
Don't take your eyes
Don't take your eyes off it
Watch it, babe
If you like
You can touch me baby
Do you
Do you wanna touch me baby
Grab ahold, don't let go
Let me know
That you
Ready

He never too his eyes off of her. She had gotten out of his lap, and began a striptease. She was still singing to him, and it was doing all kinds of unexpected but wonderful things to his body.

She took his hand and put it on her breasts. He was more than happy to oblige to every one of his wife's whims not only tonight but forever.

I just wanna show you now
Slow it down
Go around
You rock hard
I rock steady

Olivia began to rock her hips from side to side as she slid her panties down and off her body.

She smiled as she watched her husband began to grow harder and harder.

She stopped singer and whispered, "Sit back and enjoy tonight. It is all about you tonight. Can you do that for me your wife your sweet baby the love of your life?"

He nodded

"Words honey."

It took everything in him to get his words together, but he didn't want her to stop, "Yes baby!"

Olivia smiled, "Thank you"

She climbed in his lap and started singing again.

So rock right up to
The side of my mountain
Climb until you reach my peak babe, my peak, the peak
And reach right into the bottom of my fountain
I wanna play in your deep end, your deep end, the deep
Then dip me under where you can feel my river flowing flow
Hold me 'til I scream for air to breathe
Don't wash me over until my well runs dry
Send all your sins all over me babe, over me

Olivia had striped her husband of his boxers, and then she took her chemise off so they were now naked.

She took Fitz's fingers and guided them to her clit, and she grabbed his cock. No words were needed. They had not made each other cum like this since their first days on the trail when all they had was stolen moments.

Rock it 'til waterfalls
Rock it 'til waterfalls
Rock it 'til waterfalls
Bathe in these waterfalls

Fitz was so overwhelmed. His wife had turned into a little vixen. He loved it, but hearing her sing such a sexy, provocative song was doing all kinds of things to his body.

He was coming down from his high, but still very much aroused. Something he could tell his wife was happy about.

He didn't have to figure out what was next. She lifted up and slid down his cock. Her breast bouncing in his face. He didn't need to be told. He happily took one in his mouth, and began to feast on it.

I do it like it's my profession
I gotta make a confession
I'm proud of all this bass
Lemme put it in your face
By the way
If you need a personal trainer or a therapist
I can be a piece of sunshine, inner peace, entertainer
Anything else that you may read between the lines
You and I create
Rockets and waterfalls

So rock right up to
The side of my mountain
Climb until you reach my peak babe, my peak, the peak
And reach right into the bottom of my fountain
I wanna play in your deep end, your deep end, the deep
Then dip me under where you can feel my river flowing flow
Hold me 'til I scream for air to breathe
Don't wash me over until my well runs dry
Send all your sins all over me babe, over me

If the mountain was his dick, then she was for sure climbing. During their entire courtship and marriage, she had never been this dominate in the bedroom. It was unspoken that he was in control, because while he was the President everyone knew she kept things rolling. He wasn't mad in the least about being man handled.

He looked his wife in the eyes, "What are you doing to me baby?"

She slid slowly down on his cock and swirled her hips. She leaned over and moaned, "Rocketing you to places you have never been…"

Fitz gave her that lop sided grin that she loved, "Then keep rocketing baby…"

Despite her being in control the one thing he would not allow is for him to cum first. After coming down from her orgasm she turned around so her back was to her husband.

He slid them down on the floor facing a mirror.

She slid back down on his cock causing both of them to groan.

She leaned back, and her back was now flushed with his chest.

She started singing:

Hard rock steady rock hard rock steady
Rock hard rock steady rock hard rock steady
Don't you know that I give you
The loving if you need it
I give you my word
You can believe it
Your love feels like
All four seasons growing inside me
Life has a reason
Swimming
My love, your love lifting
Higher harder
Got me screaming to the lord, boy
Kiss me
Pray we don't overflow
Baby I know you can feel it pulse
Keeping the peak of my waterfall
Rock it baby, rock it baby 'til the water falls down
Damn

Damn he couldn't even begin to describe the emotions of making love to his wife in front of the mirror while she is singing to him twice over.

As much as this night was about him in order for him to be fully satisfied he needed to give his wife some loving.

She knew and didn't complain when he flipped her over on her back and slid back inside his wife. Now he was making love to her with her voice as their back drop.

And I can't help but love the way we make love
Daddy, daddy
Ooh child, ooh now
Yes lord
Damn baby
Driving me cray
Cray
You ain't right for doing that to me daddy
Even though I've been a bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad bad girl
Tell me what you're gonna do about that
Punish me
Please
Punish me please
Tell me what you're going to do with all of this
Ass
All up in your face
Yeah, hell yeah
Ride it so deep
Ooh my shit's so good it ain't even right
I know I'm right
Hell yeah you the shit
That's why you're my equivalent
So sexy

Punish he did with every stroke hitting her spot. She could tell he was getting off on hearing her sing. She was no Beyoncé, but she knew her husband didn't expect that. She was enough.

She threw her head back and closed her eyes moaning softly, "Feel so good baby. So good Fitz. Don't stop. Don't ever stop."

"I won't Livvie, but I need to see you. We are rocketing together tonight."

She mustered up the last little bit of strength she had. When she finally opened up her eyes and looked at her husband. She got another wind…..

We're so much more than pointless fixtures
Instagram pictures
Cause soon boy, gonna rock that ching-ching-ching
Baby boomers
Cyclical trends, tryna fit in
Home is where the heart is
Goddamnit I'm comfortable in my skin

Rockets and waterfalls

Boom it happened so fast that neither was prepared for the explosive, but oh so good ending.

Olivia's mouth was opened. If asked she thought, she might have released a silent scream. Her mouth still had the perfect "O" shape.

Fitz was on emotional overload. He was staring at the floor Olivia thought, but she was afraid to move. She felt like she was peeing on herself. She never felt this with Fitz or any other sexual partner. Then it dawned on her.

She was too afraid to ask, "Is that…did I. Am I…."

Fitz looked up with tears in his eyes. Yes, his wife was squirting. Something he had never experienced. He honestly thought it was a myth.

Fitz whispered, "Yes"

They just stared at each other in the mirror. Both of them trying to come down from their high. It was harder for Fitz, because Olivia singing was on repeat.

Making love to his wife singing was one thing, but just listening to her was another thing. It made him think about where they were, and where they are now. He thought about his life in general. He thought about his legacy, and now he can honestly be proud of the man he is.

Olivia could tell that everything was coming full circle, and she allowed her husband the space to let it out. No words were needed. She was glad her husband was comfortable enough to cry in her arms. It wasn't a weakness, but a strength.

The day finally caught up with him, and he cried himself to sleep. When she was sure he was out like a light she carefully climbed out of bed, cleaned them up a little, cut the music off before climbing in bed. It took her no time before she was out too.

He woke up first. It took him a moment to get his bearings together. Then it all came back to him, and his face lit up. He looked around their room, and it was even more beautiful in person. He couldn't believe that his wife not only remembered, but built them a home here.

He knew she was exhausted. Between making sure everything was taken care of at home, setting this up, and the kids she had to be on empty.

He carefully climbed out of bed, and put so pillows in his spot so she wouldn't roll over to an empty bed. After a quick shower he headed into the kitchen where he prepared her breakfast in bed.

She was coming out the bathroom after finishing up her morning routine when he walked in the room with breakfast.

Olivia smiled, "Ahh honey you didn't have to fix me breakfast."

"I wanted to. Beside it pales in comparison to what you did for me."

"As I recall someone built me a house in Vermont."

"Not the same honey…"

"It is because you had that house built with me in mind, because you loved me, existed for me, and wanted me happy. It was our dream. Time and time again you have demonstrated to me that you loved me. That my happiness was all that mattered. That there was nothing that you wouldn't do for me. Whether it was with material things or your actions. I know that you are the one who wears your heart on your sleeve. I've gotten better, but you deserve even better than I have been giving."

"Livvie, I'm happy with you and with us. Please, I need you to know that."

"I do baby. I just wanted to get better, because we both deserve it. We have let the sins of others control us in the past especially me, and I want to be better. Doing this for you made me better. Spending time with the family that made you the man you are today changed me. Mama is something special."

Fitz understood. He noticed that with time she was more carefree. He didn't realize until now that meeting what he considered was his surrogate parents had factored in.

He wasn't mad or jealous. His dad was a monster, but there was no doubt that Olivia's parents won hands down when it came to who was most evil. She deserved to know what it felt like to have two parental figures only want the best for you.

The weekend had arrived. The kids loved the cabin. Ayden was just happy to see his parents again especially his dad. Like the older two he brought Ayden to the Oval with him quite a bit. It was the Governor's mansion for the teenagers.

Everyone hit it off immediately. Matt's three children were close in age to Jerry & Karen. Matt & his wife Elaine had decided they weren't ready for an empty house anytime soon, but due to medical issues pregnancy was a high-risk so they became foster parents. Recently they adopted a three-year old little boy. He & Ayden hit it off.

After a fun-filled day they were relaxing by the fire. The teens had taken the two little ones off their hands so the adults could spend some uninterrupted time together.

Fitz was nervous. His biological father might not have cared about morals and values, but Mr. Brown did. So when he asked for all the details surrounding them he told his dad. He had not lied to him in the past, and didn't want to start.

He expected Olivia to be uncomfortable, but she held his hand. She had told Mrs. Brown some things, but not everything. In that short time, she felt like the woman was her long lost mom. She didn't want to have any dirty secrets.

When he finished he looked Mr. Brown in the eyes, "Pops, I'm sorry. You know I always looked up to you. You were the dad I never had, and I never forgot the things you taught me. I'm sorry!"

"Son, there is no reason to be sorry. I know you listened to me, because if you had listened to the words of your father you would have kept Olivia on the side as a mistress. It would have been much easier. Life is hard. Love is even harder. It is not always neat, and the way society expects. I see the boy I raised turn into a good man. I am just as proud of you as I am of Matt & Julia. We understood that you weren't cutting us off when you married Mellie. It was to protect us. I was just happy to hear from you once you healed. I knew in time we would come back together as a family. I didn't expect the call from Liv Liv. Son you picked a good one."

"I picked the best one dad, and you were right."

Olivia was curious.

Fitz looked at her and smiled, "Dad told me the woman of my dreams would be just as smart as me if not smarter. Dad always said mama was his equal inside and outside the home. He never let a man treat her like a servant. When I told Pops I was going to marry Mellie I expected him to be mad at me. I could tell his was disappointed, but he let me know that he stilled loved me. He told me that one day my real partner in life was out there. To never give up on love."

Olivia smiled. Now she understood why her husband was the hopeless romantic he was. Why he believed in them so much. Why he could never let her go. She could only nod so the tears would not fall.

Mrs. Brown grabbed Olivia' hand, "Liv, I enjoyed the little time we spent together. With Julia now living in London full time, and Matt, Elaine, and the kids headed to the Beltway we decided we are ready to fully retire. We haven't spent quality time with Chris since they adopted him, and now with your children we really just want to be parents and grandparents. I miss lunch with my boys. Although they are men with families I cherish those moments. I miss having my daughter around. I don't want to keep being the third wheel with Elaine and her mom. So I was wondering…"

Liv squeezed her hand, "I'm sure Elaine doesn't feel like you are a third wheel…"

Elaine nodded

"Nevertheless mama I would love to spend time with you. The kids need grandparents. I expect us all to spend as much time as we can together. When Julia is in town she has her choice of where she wants to lay her head. I look forward to building a relationship with you."

"Me too honey."

They switched to lighter subjects. Fitz was happy to be back with his family, and Olivia was happy to feel like a part of a family. She loved her gladiators, but she was human she wanted to be loved by parents. Now she felt complete. She hoped before the year was up she was adding to their family.

She was in her own world when she heard, "Mama, daddy…."

She looked up to see Ayden. He was in his pajamas ready for bed. If his parents were home he wanted them to read to him, and tuck him into bed. It was their thing.

Ayden climbed in his daddy arms. Fitz kissed his forehead, "Ready for bed bud?"

"Yes sir, I even membered to brush my teeth like mama showed me."

Everyone smiled. Fitz could tell the excitement of the day had caught up to him. Shortly after he was already asleep.

They couldn't be happier if they tried. He was unhappy most of his first term, but his second term was going to be different. He had his first lady beside him, his children, the gladiators, and now his family back. While there would surely would be some tough times, but they would pale in comparison to the good times.

A/N-I'm stopping there. Next update the couple gets started with their second term. Lots of fun stuff ahead for them. Fun Fact-The position that Matt was offered is a real position.

FYI-I shared that at the beginning of the year I was diagnosed with Grave's Disease. The plan was for me to do radioactive iodine therapy. However, abdominal issues would not allow that to happen so on 5/5 I will have a total thyroidectomy. It will require me to stay in the hospital 1-2 days, and then home to recover. Before surgery I will make a couple more post. Not sure when I will return after surgery. Depends on how I heal.

Let me know what you think. Are you guys still interested? I know I have a loyal group. I appreciate it more than you know. Cleo, Diamondprencess, jennkyle, and Jasmine481 to name a few.
