Hermione sat on the couch, folding up each piece of clothing her aunt had thrown on it; desperatly trying to get her to choose something from the barely there pieces of clothing that she found suitable for her date with draco.
Hermione rolled her eyes, trying and failing to shut her out without her finding out that she was actually ignoring her efforts.
A sharp excited gasp from her aunt had hermione looking up at her. She held a spaghetti strap dress up in a striking silver.
"Look at this little number hermione. You would look so sexy in this one. Im sure you would snag him after he see's you in it. His eyes wont be able to leave you!" She said, smiling at her from around the dress she held up.
Hermione wrinkled her nose and shook her head.
"I cannot even think about wearing anything like that. Aunty, I dont even know what kind of date this is going to be yet." Her aunt waved her off, taking the dress and slipping it over her own head, modeling the dress for hermione to get a good look at what it would look like on herself shall she choose to wear it.
"It would show just the right amount of the goods, and figure... You would own him after this!" She ran her hand down the side of the dress, waiting for hermione to agree. But was rewarded with the same answer. Sighing, Nelly placed her hands on her hips expectantly.
"Well what did you plan to wear if your not going to dress the part" Nelly asked exasperated. Hermione just smiled; continueing to fold the offending clothing.
"I was going to dress like I normally do. I dont really see a big reason to get all dressed up. If he cant except me as I am, then he wont except me at all. I wont change for anyone." Hermione said, while placing the folded clothes back into her aunts hands.
Hermione ignored her shocked face and got up to walk to her room. Her date was tomorrow morning. And she needed to prepare mentally for it.
"You have got to be kidding me." Her aunt yelled, throwing the clothes back on the couch and proceeded to try and follow the girl to her room.
"Calm down my dear. Let the girl wear what she wants. I dont think any of those clothes need to be worn for him anyways. leave her be." Danny said, throwing his arm around her shoulder and leading her away.
Hermione could hear her aunt argueing with Danny as she shut the door. Something about the way he said that made her skin crawl in disgust. Shuddering, She locked the locks on her door one by one, and placed the card board pieces into her bedroom window; Laying down on her bed.
Looking up at the ceiling, hermione sighed. Tomorrow was bound to be hell, and she didnt have any desire to attend. But theo was to good a friend to let take the fall for her mistake. She knew she just needed to suck it up and go... so suck it up, she would do.
Hermione lifted her hand to knock on the door. She mentally rooted herself on in her head. She could do this. It was just one day, a few hours at most and she would be able to walk away with book in hand. She wouldnt have to see his arrogant smirk again.
smiling to herself at the thought, she knocked softly. She could hear someone jogging to the door, then it was jerked open.
Draco stood in the doorway, his familier smirk already in place as he took in her date attire.
"Do you usually wear pajama's on a date?" He teased. Hermione fixed a heated glare on him, crossing her arms over her chest.
"There not pajama's. its called a called dressing for comfort." She chided, and followed him to his parked car, still ranting as he opened the door for her. "And its a juicy coutour, atleast I wore a nice one. I could have showed up in an oversized T-shirt and baggy pants. Left my hair down in a curly mess... not even bothered to put on deoderant, perfume, or even brush my teeth if I had wanted to really chase you off..." She stopped when his laughter echoed off their surroundings startling her into silence. But her glare still held. What the hell did he find so funny.
He leaned against the side of his car, crossing his own arms, smirking at her before he replied.
"I highly doubt you would show up anywhere without at the very least brushing your teeth and putting on deoderant. But that was a very amusing visual you described there. Thanks for the laugh. Now get in." He grabbed her by her elbow and guided her into his car.
Hermione jerked her elbow away from him as soon as she was seated. Draco reached over to buckle her up, but she shoved him away, snatching the belt from his hands and clasping it herself.
"Im not a child." She stated.
"Could have fooled me." He retorted. Hermione's face heated up, and she opened her mouth to speak, but Draco just smirked at her and slammed the door shut on her before she could get a word out.
Draco slid into the driver seat and let the car purr to life.
"Eager to get the day started?" He asked glancing at her with a smile.
Hermione rolled her eye's but couldnt stop the small smirk that tugged at the corners of her lips.
"Jumping with excitement... cant you tell." She answered sarcastically as they pulled out onto the road.
Hermione sat in the stands, her hands clasped infront of her, sandwiched between her thighs for warmth. It was freezing in the arena. She watched with partial interest as Draco and his hockey team skated with easy across the surface of the ice.
Why he would bring her for their date here just to watch him practice with his team was beyond her. But she wouldnt complain. She was sure that he was only playing with her, so she didnt even know if she would classify this as an actual date.
Looking down, she rubbed her hands up her arms. She wished she had known so she could have at least brought a thicker jacket. She always got cold easy.
"Go Go Go!" Draco yelled to his team mate as they skated at breakneck speed across the surface of the ice.
Draco watched carefully as the puck was slid from person to person, they were so close to scoring a goal.
Just as the puck was passed his way, he slammed his hockey stick down hard and slung the black thing into the goal. The goalie didnt even have time to flinch.
Draco brouch his hand up to his helmet and whiped the sweat from his brow the best he could, looking up into the stands to make sure his date still remained in her seat.
He watched as her hands rubbed up and down her arms, then she brought them back down between her thighs. She was cold. He was in the middle of practice. He couldnt just disapear...
Draco raced across the ice when the puck came back into play and was slid his way. He watched his surroundings intently, then rushed out infront of a guy heading toward the goals.
The two of them clashed. Draco felt the breath get knocked out of him as he landed on his back on the ice.
"Draco, are you ok?" He heard his coach ask from above him. He knew he was ok, but decided to use this as his way out to get to Hermione. Sitting up, draco nodded to his coach.
"Im just a little winded coach. I need a break." He aswered.
Hermione watched the accident happen, jumping from her seat when he was slung to the ground. Just as she was about to maddly dash down the stands, she saw him stand, and begin to skate away. With a sigh, she sat back down and fixed her attention back onto the team.
"Here." Glancing up, Draco held out a cup of hot chocolate to her.
With shaking hands she took it. Blowing on the surface of the hot liquid before taking a careful sip. Sighing in contentment when she felt the hot liquid slide down her throat.
Draco grabbed his jacket he had thrown over his arm and drapped it over her shoulders before sitting down beside her to sip on his own beverage.
"Thanks." Hermione said, blushing from the intamacy of the simple action of offering his jacket to her. It was warm from him and smelled just like him. She could almost drown in it.
"No problem. Cant have you freezing on the first date." He smirked at her. Earning another eye roll from the girl as she snorted in her drink.
"Is this like a school team?" She asked, refering to the hockey.
Draco smiled and nodded his head.
"Yeah, I started it a few years ago. Were undefeated at the moment." She looked at him shocked.
"You started this team?" She asked.
"Yep." He popped his P. And Hermione looked at him with wide eyes.
"Thats a major accomplishment Draco. I bet your mother is proud." She said, sipping the last of her drink before sitting her cup down beside her.
"Well, she doesnt really care one way or the other. Hockey was never her thing. I do it because it is soothing to me. When Im out on that ice, I feel as if I can finally be myself. I can finally be real to myself." He tapered off, looking at her from the side of his eye.
"Wow. That must be amazing." She said, casting her eyes down again.
Looking back up, she noticed the team had dissapeared. Practice must be over.
Draco put his cup down, and stood up, holding his hands out to her. Hermione stared at them for a moment before looking up at him.
"Come skate with me." He said, grabbing her hands and pulling her up gently. Hermione gently tugged on her hands to try and free herself.
"But, I dont know how to skate." she said, a quiver of fear in her voice.
"Its ok, Ill be right beside you." He said pulling her down the stands.
He quickly and expertly strapped her into a pair of skates and stepped backward onto the ice with his own on.
"Come on, I got you." He coaxed.
Hermione took a shakey step onto the ice, wincing when she felt unstable on the blades under her.
"Just relax." Draco said skating circles around her as she slowly put one skate infront of the other, never taking her eyes from her feet.
"Easy for you to say, you do this for fun. I find it dangerous to my ass when it bites the floor beneath me." Draco skated out infront of her, holding his hands out to her.
"Is this how you get a girl to take your hand." Hermione teased as she took his hands in hers. His jacket almost coming down over her small fingers.
"You know what it means when you give someone your hand on the ice rink right?" Draco said, holding her up from falling. "If I offer you my hand on the ice, it says that I will protect you with my life on it. I wont let you fall without falling first." He explained.
Hermione fixed her eyes on his stormy greys. She couldnt believe he was being such a gentlemen with her.
"You know. I dont think your such a bad guy as you make yourself out to be. I think your really a decent man." Hermione said, then squealed when he suddenly turned her. She had to grab onto his arm for support.
They skated like that for what felt like hours. But hermione didnt mind. Even though he had to catch her from falling flat on her face a few times, she couldnt help the bubbles of laughter that came from her lips. And his smile was infectious. The most beautiful smile she had ever seen. Her stomach was flipping and turning. She had never felt anything like it before. But the more she thought about it, she stronger she could hear her heart beating in her ears. She could feel almost like an electric charch between their grip on each other.
Hermione smiled to herself... He was more dangerous then she thought...
His scent hit her again as she landed softly in his chest and his arms wrapped around her to keep her steady. Their laugh echoing off the walls. Yes, she decided. He was dangerous... She knew if she wasnt careful... he could easily hurt her in more ways then one in that exact moment... But for some reason... Her heart wanted to cast everything to the wind.
"Ive been meaning to ask you, why do you play such a dangerous sport? I mean If you want to skate, you could skate anywhere." She asked, and he smiled.
"Because even though its dangerous. Its still an amazing thrill. I may get hurt, but atleast that tells me im alive. Without pain, I might as well be dead." He answered. She shook her head.
"Bauch once had a cello that he used to creat a beautiful piece, but someone had tampered with the strings. He had a concert that night, and all of the audience sat in wait, for him to embarrass himself. But even though all of the other strings were broken, The G string remained. And he created a masterpiece called 'air' with only the string G. Its now famously known as 'Air' in G." Draco looked at her with a confused expression.
"So whats the point of this story?" he asked.
"Bach could have given up, but he didnt. He went on to write a masterpiece. and succeeded. The point is that even though life is hard, if we just keep going and never give up. Everything will turn out for the better. Whenever I think about giving up, I just think of that song. I am giving you this story, so dont speak about being dead." Hermione scolded.
Draco pulled hermione around him and looked her in the eye.
"Close your eyes." He whispered befoe pulling her close. He spun them around, and when her eyes closed, he placed his lips upon hers.
She was shocked at first, but his lips were soft and warm. She couldnt help the butterfly feeling in the pit of her stomach as she deepened the kiss.
"You bastard!" Hermione felt herself being pushed back. She threw her arms out, trying to catch her balance. When she was confident she wouldnt fall, she looked back up just in time to see Theo swing a punch at draco and watch them both fall onto the ice.
"Theo, Stop!" Hermione yelled, trying to skate her way over to the fighting boys. Theo whirled around to face her pointing at draco.
"That fucker made a bet with his friends that he could win you over within 24 hours." Theo yelled, huffing beside hermione.
"A picture for evidence to." Draco said smugly, smirking their way.
"Delete it!" Theo yelled making his way over to Draco with his fist clenched.
Hermione stood there for a second. Her heart constricted painfully. She couldnt believe she had actually fell for that. She couldnt believe that she had actually believe a word he said... She couldnt believe that it hurt this much... biting the tears back, hermione straightened her spine and plastered a look of anoyance on her face.
"Theo your early." Hermione said, sighing in dissapointment.
"What?" Draco asked as a scowl made its way onto his face.
"You see, I knew you had a bet against me. So I decided to make one myself. I bet with a few people that I could get a playboy like you to ask me out within a week and kiss me within a month. If I won, then they would give the cafe business for three months. I won." Draco's face contorted into rage.
"You sold yourself for money! You agreed to go out with me for that?!" He yelled in her direction.
"Atleast I won the money. What did you get?" Hermione laughed, then shrugged out of his jacket.
"Oh well, games over. no use in staying here any longer." She tossed his jacket at his feet then turned to Theo. "Lets go."
Draco leaned down and picked up his jacket and the hockey puck. He turned the puck around in his hands as he watched her leave.
"Hermione! I decide..." Her yelled. "I decide when this game is over!" he yelled again, throwing the puck against the wall. It hit hard and loud, then clattered to the floor. He huffed.
Who the hell did she think she was. Noone pulled one over on Draco Malfoy.
Draco turned and skated away angrily. Noone.
Hermione walked into the house a little after dark. She had been out later then she had planned, but after what had happened with Draco at the skating rink, she didnt want to go home just yet.
"Oh, you've come back so late... tell me, was it amazing?" Her aunt said, jumping up from sitting beside danny on the couch.
Sighing, hermione mentally prepared the best she could for what her aunt was going to say.
"No, I was with Theo. Im not going to be seeing Draco anymore." She admitted. It was silent for a few moments and hermione watched her aunts face.
"What do you mean you were with that farmer?! You were supposed to be with the presidents son!" She shreiked.
"Leave her be, Nelly. The girl has made her choice." Danny said from his spot on the couch.
Shaking her head, Nelly sneered at hermione crossing her arms.
"You will go and apologize to him first thing in the morning. and hope its not to late to take you back." She said with finality. Hermione steeled herself.
"No I wont. I dont feel anything toward him Aunty. Please just leave it alone." Hermione said softly.
"You are just like your good for nothing father... cant do anything right." Nelly said, crossing her arms.
Hermione recoiled back like she had been slapped.
"My father was a good man! How could you say things like that?!" She yelled hurt.
"Your father was an idiot! It was because of him we lost everything!" Nelly huffed.
Hermione stood there for a minute. Her heart beat loudly in her ears. No amount of mental preparation would have worked for words like these. Hermione felt her face heat up and the familier stinging behind her eyelids. Before a single tear fell, she turned and stormed back to the door. jerking it open. Grabbing her jacket from the chair she placed it in, Hermione ran.
"Hermione! Come back, its to dangerous for girls to be out this late alone!" Danny yelled, getting up and running to the door.
"I dont know what has gotten into her!" Nelly yelled confused.
"You didnt make it any easier on her! I told you to just leave her alone! Now sit down! Im going to go and get her." Danny said, pulling on his shoes and grabbing his jacket, then he left to.
Danny felt excitement swell up inside him. He finally has a chance to be alone with the girl. maybe if he showed her a little kindness... she might be more open to him...
Hermione slowed down to a walk, and swiped her hand under her eyes. Looking around, she saw that she was on campus grounds. She had been so upset, she didnt even look to see where she was going. sighing, she continued to walk.
Passing a building, She looked through a window. A beautiful grand piano sat in the room. not even thinking, she walked around the side of the building and up the steps into the building.
The room with the piano was cluttered with old couches and chairs. A few boxed and old desks. It seemed to be a storage building of some sort. But she didnt mind. There was a small lamp lit in a corner by the piano and she walked over to it.
Gently she sat on the bench and lifted the wooden cover off of the keys. She brushed her fingers over the smooth surfaces. She couldnt even remember when her fingers had started playing a familier tune she had once played with her father.
Moonlight sanatra danced in waves around her. It was like a balm to her aching heart. She remembered how she used to sit and play this very song after her father had passed away. For hours on end. It was the only way she felt close to him.
She hadnt played in years... She didnt have a piano to play on anymore.
The song continued in a slow rhythem. So lost in the moment and the beautiful music, she didnt notice that someone had came up behind her.
Hermione jerked back, hitting a few off keys as she startled when a hand reached out and snatched her left wrist from the keys. Looking up, she saw Draco standing beside her. A scowl placed on his face.
"Touching things that dont belong to you now, huh?" He asked, letting go of her wrist and stepping back.
"I didnt know anyone was in here." She said, getting up from the bench.
"well there was, and thats my piano." He said.
"Well sorry. I didnt know. Ill just go." She said, grabbing her jacket and turning toward the door.
"Woah, hold on there." He slid into her path, stopping her from leaving. Hermione huffed, not even in the mood to deal with him.
"What?" She asked.
"well obviously you owe me. For defiling my piano with your filthy hands." He said seriously. Hermione sighed.
"What do you want?" She asked. She was exausted mentally.
"I want..." He glided closer to her. Hermione stepped back until her back hit the piano. But he was still coming. He stopped a few inches from her. "To finish your bet." He said, looking down at her lips then back up to her eyes.
"I have already finished the bet." She said, placing her hands behind her to support herself when he leaned in a little closer to her ear.
"Dont be shy, we have already kissed." He came closer, pressed flush up against her. "Should I teach you... I mean a girl like you should be showing me what you got. You should already know..." He smirked down at her, then leaned into her ear.
"Take off your clothes." He whispered iceily.
"What?" She asked shocked.
"Take off your clothes. I mean you went out, and kiss me for money... so... might as well unless you want that friend of yours to be kicked out flatt on his ass." He said.
"If I take off my clothes, will you drop it?" She asked, her voice shook with fear.
He stepped back and leaned against the back of one of the chairs, then waved his hand in an inviting manner to her.
Hermione sat her jacket down on the piano bench softly. she shot him the best glare she could muster, but her glassy eyes were hard to miss.
"Fine." She said forcefully.
Her fingers shook as they raised to the first button of her shirt.
"After I take my clothes off... Please tell me what fun it is for a woman to have to sell herself for a living." Her voice shook as the tears swelled behind her eyes. She unhooked her second button.
Draco didnt know what to make of her words. He didnt understand. He knew she wasnt a call girl. He just wanted to give her hell and maybe scare her a little bit.
"After I take my clothes off... please tell me waht fun is in sitting over there watching me degrade myself for your pleasure..." The tears leaked from her eyes, and her voice cracked.
Her fingers fought to undo the third button. It didnt want to come easy. Her fingers didnt want to release it.
Draco looked away from her, his eyes casted to the side. "Stop." He said.
Hermione struggled trying to release the third button. Draco looked up and saw her struggle. In one stride, he was infront of her, his hands placed over her's to stop their movement.
"I said stop!" He said forcefully. A single tear slid from her face and dropped onto his hand.
Draco looked down shocked. She was crying. He hadnt meant to hurt her. He figured she was only acting coy. But now he felt like a total ass. Of course he would have never made her strip for real. He just wanted to pick on her... But even he didnt know why he was so interested in this girl.
Draco looked back up into her misty eyes. Her lip trembled as she tried to control her emotions. Her hands shook in his. She shook her head, her whole body was trembling.
"You men are all the same." She said softly. Draco felt his heart clench.
"You men?" He repeated, letting the implication sink in. His eyes got hard as she looked into her's.
"Who else has done this to you?!" He asked, but she just shook her head and looked away from him. His hands felt heavy, but for some reason still warm on hers.
Danny snuck up to the window and scowled. He couldnt believe his eyes. She had ran from the house only to meet up with a boy.
"Damn her. She wont allow to be touched at home, but here she is letting this rich boy touch her." He spat angrily. Danny ground his teeth together and clenched his fist. The sight was straight up pissing him off.
"Who's out there?!" Danny jumped from the side of the building, his hand covering his face from the flashlight as he began to run away.
"There are two teenagers in there making out! Go get them!" He yelled. He took off running as the security guard ran up to the window to take a look inside.
Hermione and Draco looked toward the window when they heard voices and ducked low when a flashlight began to shine through. They heard someone running up to the music room door. Draco grabbed hermione's hand and pulled her behind the couch, ducking down to hide just as the security gurard ran inside the room. They watched him flash his light around the room, then the door shut and the sound of a key being used to lock the door.
Standing up, hermione looked around. She could still feel Draco holding her hand. gently, but quickly she pulled her hand lose and ran to the door, turning the knob. It was locked.
"Were locked in." She said in irritation.
Draco just shrugged and plopped down onto the couch.
"Oh well, guess we have to wait till morning." He said non chalantly. Hermione fixed him with an encredulous look.
"Your not the least bit worried?" Draco shook his head.
"Nope." He said popping his P.
"Your exausting." She said, sitting down in one of the chairs.
"Yeah well, thats just who I am So..." Hermione jumped to her feet.
"Shh." She shushed him.
Hermione strained her ears and listened for a moment.
"What are you doin?" Draco asked with a humorous smirk.
"You didnt hear that?" She asked. He shook his head. Hermione walked around the room, and to the back. She felt Draco come up behind her just as she pushed a box aside on the floor.
Glancing down, she saw scar marks on the floor only breifly. Draco grabbed the box and slid it back over the marks.
"What was that?" She asked, and he looked down at her with innocent eyes.
Hermione slid the box back away from the mark and pointed at it.
"This..." She said, tracing her hand over the mark.
"Its the scar from the boy." He answered.
"What boy?" She asked, turning to face him. Draco stood up and sad down on one of the chairs.
"The boy who died here." He said looking into her eyes.
"A boy died here?" She asked?
Hermione stood up and looked at him, waiting for him to reply.
"It's said that a university music proffesor used to bring his son here to teach him how to rollerblade. One day, the father let go of his son's hands and the boy fell." Draco pointed to the scar on the floor.
"The screw from the skates made that scar." He said. Hermione perched on the arm of a chair.
"Then?" She asked.
"Well, a few years the father let go of his son's hands again, and left him..."
"Daddy! Daddy!" Little draco yelled, as he thrashed in his mother's arms. Narcissa tried to soothe the child and hug him close, but Draco turned on her and began to hit at her hands to get her to let him go.
"You killed him! You killed Daddy!" Little draco yelled. Exausted by his grief little Draco slumped to the floor and cried.
Narcissa sobbed into her hand as her son swatted her arms away each time she tried to console him.
"Noone really understands the pain you get when your hands are let go of... It stays with you forever." Draco said, looking sadly toward the scar mark on the floor.
Hermione watched his face, and felt her heart pull for him. He had suffered so terribly and never got passed this tragedy. Draco sighed and leaned forward.
"And so the child died. He died when his father left him. He was only eight years old. They say at night you will see a little boy roller blading around in here. Still looking for answers on why his father let go of his hands." He finished and looked up at Hermione.
"Scary huh?!" Draco shivered. "Best get the hell out of here fast." He said, leaning back into his chair, looking anywhere but at her.
Hermione remembered when Draco had told her he had PTSD. She knew only to well that a childhood trauma could cause it. Smiling soflty, Hermione shook her head.
"No, Im not scared. In fact I would love to meet this little boy. I would tell him that his father loved him very very much." She said. "I dont know how to roller blade, but my father taught me how to ride a bike. And one day he let go. He said it hurt him to let go, but he did it so I would learn to get up after I fall and not lay on the ground blaming others. Same for the little boy. It hurt his father to let go to, but he needs to know, its ok to stand back up." she finished.
Draco just stared at her for a moment, then looked back away.
"Why are you telling me this? Im not that boy." He denied. Hermione just smiled.
Just then they heard the rustling again. Draco stood up and listened closely.
Hermione walked over to a stack of boxes and lifted them out of the way. looking down. She saw a tiny baby kitten. Picking it up carefully, she examined it.
"I think it hurt its paw." She said, cradling the kitten gently to her chest.
"I dont know why your even bothering. Its mother is nowhere to be found. it wont survive without its mother." Hermione just smiled again.
"Well then Im glad it met me. Because I can offer it a home and food and love. If it doesnt survive, it wont be because of me, it will be because the kitten just gave up." she said, then sat the cat down on a couch pillow.
Draco and hermione curled up on one of the couches. They sat there and talked for hours, then sleep drug them into a world of dreams.
Hermione cracked one eye open, pushing up from the back of the couch. The blanket that covered her slid down to her lap. It was morning.
Draco groaned beside her as he was roused form his sleep. The kitten purred softly from atop his chest. Looking down, Draco scowled at the thing, then gently lifted it from his person and placed it between him and hermione on the couch.
She smiled. taking a finger and scracthing softly atop the kittens head.
"You know, if were going to be taken care of him, we should give him a name." Draco said, breaking the silence and shocking hermione with how gentle he was being with the small thing. Draco glanced up at her while fixing his hair.
"What? Why are you looking at me like that? It was you who insisted on protecting him." Draco pointed out.
Hermione smiled and shook her head.
"I know... I was just surprised is all. You dont seem like the type of person to really care about a small creature like him." Draco snorted, looking away.
"Im not a monster." He said.
"I know..." They sat in comfortable silence for a minute, then Draco got up.
"Well I think its time we get out of here." He said. Hermione jumped to her feet and ran to the door. She remembered they had been locked in.
"Its still locked." She said, twisting the handle but not getting anywhere with it.
Draco came up behind, reached around her and put a key into the lock. with a twist of the key then the knob, the door swung open.
Hermione stood there watching as he grabbed his jacket and her stuff. She watched him walk up to her and place her things in her arms... Then he just walked out. Shrugging his jacket on as he went.
Irritation bubbled up on her face and she stormed after him.
"You mean to tell me that there was a spare key in there the whole time?! We stayed the night in that place! And there was a key?!" She said following after him.
"Well I was planning on staying the night anyways. I just forgot." Draco turned around and faced her, walking backwards.
"Meet me here tonight. From now on, I want you to play the piano for me every night. Be here at 8pm... Dont be late." With a crooked grin he turned and kept walking. Hermione was hot on his heels.
"What?!" She yelled. who the hell did he think he was? Bossing her around like that.
"Well, someone has to take care of the cat." He shrugged.
"Oh my gosh, look! Isnt that Draco Malfoy and the cafe girl?" a girl walking down the sidewalk asked. A young boy came up beside her to get a better look. Shock was all over their face.
"Yeah, get a picture... hurry." The boy said. "Did they spend all night in that hall?" The boy asked.
"I dont know... but it looks like they got a little close..." The girl answered as the shutter sound went off on her phone.
Neither Draco or hermione knew they were being watched.
