Hey y'all, back with anotha helping of that home-style Whiterose. We're on a good roll now, lets keep the train a'rollin!

A dark night, nothing even dared to make noise. The air was still with a relaxed silence, and the essence of nighttime was in full force as team RWBY slept

"WEEIIIIISSSSSSS!"

as team WBY slept.

"mmhmfnmnm."

"Weiss, come on, please get up we gotta go!" The perturbed young huntress pleaded.

"mmmffm, Ruby. It's nighttime, it's sleepy time Ruby..." Weiss replied in a mostly dazed wakefulness.

As the heiress (with surprising strength) brought Ruby into her arms and held her close in their bed. The younger kept squirming to get away, eventually waking Weiss from her sleep.

"Ruuuuuby, it's 4 in the morning, what the hell could be so important?!"

"I'm out of cookies and milk and strawberries and any sort of melon and you know how I eat at night and I'm not happy!"

"We can get that all tomorrow Ruby. Wait, melon?" The heiress stated, then asked confused.

"Yeah, if there's nothing else in the kitchen I like melon as a substitute. We've been together for a few years now and still don't remember each time I tell you. Just feelin the love here Weiss." Ruby replied irately

"Alright alright, damn. We'll go get you some food, I just hope there's some place open at this time of night."

The two promptly dressed themselves, and headed out. They decided if anything was gonna be open, it would probably be in downtown Vale.

"... Are they out yet?"

"Yep. Commence the 4 am fiesta!"

At Yang's grand exclamation, sombreros were brought out, streamers went around the room, people were invited, people were kicked out, and a general ruckus was had. And all this riveting story of the super awesome late night fiesta was summed up in one, nice little mini paragraph. Of course Ruby and Weiss would never know of this as every trace would be scrubbed away, except for some random piece which will conveniently get them found out. But that's another joke for another time.

"Ruby, we've been looking around for a while now. Nothing's open this late... or er, early - fuck nothing is open at this time!" Weiss said, annoyance rising in her.

"There has to be something out here, it's a whole city!" Ruby muttered, losing hope with each passing building.

Of course, not much would be open at this time. The two decided to try another area of town. They traversed this area of the city as well for about another 5 minutes.

"Hey, hey I see a place!" The younger of the two shouted, pointing in the direction of one of the few lit up buildings in the area.

Coming up to said building, Weiss took note of the name "Donut Tyme" on the large neon sign above the building. As the two entered, they took stock of the interior. A large case filled with donuts and pastries of many kinds, across from said case was about four tables with chairs on them. All in all, the entire room had a welcoming, retro style to it that most shops couldn't replicate.

"Um, excuse us, is anyone here? Helloooo." The desperate younger huntress called.

A somewhat short, older man came through the door leading into the kitchen. A quick read of the name tag told the two girls that the old man's name was Gus.

"Yeah, hold on now. Gotta get to the counter, these old bones ain't what they used to be." Gus replied, slightly irritated, but mostly alright.

"Do you run this place all on your own?" Weiss questioned, seeing the tired-weathered face of the old man behind the counter.

"That I do, little miss. Names Gus, and I been runnin this here shop for about 20 years now. So what can I get you girls?" The older gentleman asked.

"Hmmmmm, I don't know! Everything looks soo good, I can't decide! What would you suggest?" Ruby exclaimed, distraught over her indecisiveness.

"How about the cranberry filled. Mmmmm, cranberries."

"Um, do you have strawberry?"

"I'll get ya two... No one ever wants my cranberry filled..." Gus muttered as he collected the two strawberry filled donuts.

Just after the two girls sat at a table, the old man brought them their donuts. As they took their first bites, they couldn't believe how good it actually was.

"You know, Ruby. We did start eating at 4:20 in the morning..."

"Hehe, lets see THIS one be a meme..."

After their terrible, absolutely horrid attempt at humor, Old man Gus came to the table.

"Well I hope y'all enjoyed your donuts, might just be the last ones I ever sell."

"What?! Why?" Ruby asked with concern.

"Welp, nowadays not too many people lookin for just a good ol fashioned donut. I'm goin out of business without any sales." Gus explained somberly.

"But, t-that's not fair! This place is awesome, you can't let it go like that!" Ruby pleaded.

"I wished it didn't have ta be this way, but there's nothin I can do."

"Wait! We can help you keep this place running!" Weiss chimed in.

"We can?" Ruby asked, confused.

"Yeah, if you'll remember, we DID at one point have our own business." Weiss stated, making Ruby realize she was right.

"Oh yeah, I forgot we did that! So many adventures we've had, I can't even remember em all!"

Weiss came up to the Old man, and proposed her ideas for keeping the shop alive.

"Well, if you two are up two it, then so be it. Let's save this donut shop!"

"Yeah lets gooo!... uh, why's nobody going?" Ruby questioned.

"Ruby, it's four in the morning. Nothing's happening right now." Weiss explained, pointing out the window at the dark, nighttime sky.

"Oh... Yeah... Well maybe we should get home." Ruby stated, feeling bad for not realizing earlier.

"Well don't worry Gus, we'll be back tomorrow." The heiress assured to the Old man.

"Yeah, I'll be waitin!"

The door to the shared room opened, Ruby and Weiss quietly stepping in. There was no need, however, as Blake and Yang were already up. Both still in their sleeping clothes, Blake appeared to be bringing something from the kitchen to Yang.

"Oh hey, why are you guys up?" Weiss questioned, suspiciously. She'd been through this song and dance enough times to know how it works.

"Yang woke up, it startled me so I accidentally smacked her, so I got her a glass of water to apologize."

"Yes, and I assume that's also the reason there's balloons everywhere, streamers on the floor, Yang still has a SOMBRERO ON HER HEAD!"

"Yeah, this was not at all thought out. We weren't really expecting you guys to be home and we were going to clean up, yeah just... None of this was the expected outcome. This is honestly pretty terrible." Blake admitted.

... I get it!

So yeah, I plan on this being a two part thing. So next chapter, expect more Whiterose. Or don't, as we've seen expectations aren't always right, I would totally not blame you for doubting my word at this point. (Spoiler: I will be doing the expected). So if You're excited to get back into the buidness, please follow/fav and drop a review, and I will see you all in the next installment. Byee!
