Mom, dad I'm ho-

"BLAKEWEMISSEDYOUSOMUCHAHHH!"

Kali Belladonna, on the verge of a full bawl, had just about tackled her daughter as she walked out of the terminal. After a few seconds, Blake regained her balance and returned her mother's bear hug.

"M-Mom, settle down. I'm happy to see you, but can we maybe not stand in the middle of the hall…"

They proceeded to move away from the waves of people they were standing in the middle of.

"So Blake, are you going to introduce me to Yang?"

"Mom, I've told you about her before-"

"Hi! I'm Yang Xiao Long. I know it must be weird to see your daughter with someone you've never seen in person, especially married to her. But I'm sure she's said a lot about me! So I hope you can accept me into your home!"

Silence for about 5 seconds

"... Eh?!"

"U-u-um M-Mom, now don't freak out. I told you I met someone I was dating, and I told you Yang was my partner and best friend. Now maybe I didn't quite put it all together right but, uh… Yangismypartnerimsosorrymom!"

Blake had rushed her speech, mostly out of embarrassment, partially to make sure she could actually finish the sentence. Yet she was met with continued silence

"Ehehe… Was it something I said?" Which is also something Yang said, sheepishly.

"Well you sure told me a lot in the car, but you definitely have more to tell me about later. I don't like being out of the loop in my daughter's life!"

Kali had still kept the facade of being mad with Blake as she led them through the foyer of the grand manor, and into the main sitting room.

"I'm sorry mom, but you know how dad is. I just wanted to, you know, ease you guys into it. But then a certain BLONDE had to wreck those plans." Blake explained.

Yang replied in the distance with an "I said I'm sorry!"

"Honestly I think this will make Ghira more angry…"

"What about me?"

Ghira Belladonna, in his towering stature, entered the room. His voice seemed to boom as it echoed across the room from the opposite hallway.

"Dad!"

Blake couldn't help but run to her father. Being the large man he is, he had no trouble catching her as she jumped up to hug him at *close* to eye level.

"There's my girl! Ah we've missed you so much over these past years, Blake!"

"Dad, I want you to meet Yang. I met her at Beacon, and she's very close to me."

Yang, even being taller than both Blake and Kali, still had to look up to Ghira a bit. But in usual Yang style, this didn't deter her in the slightest from walking up the the burly patriarch and shaking his hand as he raised it.

"Hi, im Yang Xiao Long! It must be totally normal to see your daughter come home with someone you've never met in person, especially normal since we're just best friends! But I'm sure she's said a lot about me, and I hope you can accept me into your home!"

Silence for about 5 seconds.

"Well uh, of course! Any friend of Blake's is welcome here." Ghira responded, also a little awkwardly

"Actually dad, I have something tell you. I thought about going around it before, but I think it's best to just come straight with it."

Blake readied herself to tell her father not only that his daughter was gay, but also that Yang is MARRIED to her. She knew her father would never hurt any of them and would always accept Blake, but she also knew this would be a rough transition.

"Dad, Yang is just trying not to say anything about it because I didn't want to. But I think you should know now… Dad, I love Yang. I didn't bring her here as just a friend, she's a lot closer to me than that. I know this may be a shock to hear your daughter come out to you like this but… I need to."

"... Well, it is a lot to take in, but to be honest, I already had a feeling."

Now it was Blake and Yangs turn to get shocked.

"W-what?! But h-how-"

"I saw the way you looked at that Ilia girl when you two were younger. When I heard you talk about Yang when you did call or write, I got that same feeling as when you talked about her."

"OH THANK GOD!" Yang yelled as she sighed in relief, obviously struggling to contain herself.

To say Blake felt relieved was an understatement. She was prepared to deal with her father's outburst, but it never came. Kali and Yang also stopped moving the tables away from the two, seeing that none of them would go airborne.

"Oh, wow… That's actually a relief."

"What, I don't react that badly, do I?" Ghira said, lightening the mood a bit.

"Hehe, you kinda do, dad. But it's nice to be home and not worried."

Blake felt herself drop her shoulders and loosen, in the feeling of contempt.

"I feel like a chapter of my life has ended, but I'm fine with that. I'm happy being able to come home. Happy that I can see you both again. Happy that I don't have to worry about fighting, or surviving, or anything like that. That I can just be here again, with Yang. It makes me feel like I've grown up, you know?"

"Hey now, don't get too sappy on me babe. You'll get a tear outta me!" Yang exclaimed in her over emotional tone, as she put her arms around Blake's.

"We know it hasn't always been easy Blake, but we're so proud that you've grown so much." Kali responded, on the verge of tears.

"I'm so proud and grateful to be able to call you my daughter. But don't think I won't let you get away with not being around more!" Ghira added.

"I will dad… Maybe we'll have another honeymoon here in Menagerie. Never too many of those, never."

"Honeywhatnow…" Ghira asked/muttered, thrown for a loop.

"Didn't I say it earlier? Yeah Yang and I are closer, because we got married… Dad? Dad?!" Blake explained, seeing her father's face start to brighten.

"YOU WHAT NOW?!"

Night had already fallen over the Town, but there was one small house still brightly lit and full of life. The house of Taiyang Xiao Long had been filled with laughter and good times as Taiyang had his daughter Ruby and daughter-in-law Weiss staying for a while. Even Qrow had stopped in to say hi (and of course drink up his liquor).

"So I said to the guy 'Hey, now THATS a big Ursa!'"

The room busted all three guts simultaneously at what must have been one of the greatest jokes of all time.

"Oh, oh god Uncle Qrow, Stop! It's too funny, hahaHaa!" Ruby guffawed.

"Whew, damn Qrow you got some good ones there!" Taiyang exclaimed fighting tears.

Weiss would've said something as well if she had the capacity to. At the moment she was to busy with her face to the table, hunched over in laughter and pain.

"Well, as fun as it was, it's bout time for me to get goin. Grimm ain't gonna kill themselves you know. Unless they do, but I wouldn't know tha- anyways. I'll see you around Tai, later kiddos."

Qrow stood from his chair and made for the door. Of course he wasn't allowed to leave before getting at least a bone or two broken in a Ruby- sized bear hug.

"Don't not come visit us Uncle Qrow! I'll find you if you do, er uh, dont?"

"Heh, wouldn't dream of it Red."

Qrow waved as he stepped out into the night, leaving the two young adults and the old adult to themselves.

"Welp, it's getting late guys. I'm gonna get some sleep, you two have fun." Taiyang said as he rounded the corner of the hall to his room.

"... Just, y'know, not too much fun cause ah, these walls are kinda paper thin. I mean yeah just be uh, be careful of t-t-the, noise pollution an all that." He added, peeking around the corner before going back.

"... Just to be clear-"

"OH MY GOD DAD!"

"Yep right I'm going to sleep now yeah good night, sleep tight and all that no loud love making in the house I probably wouldn't survive the nightmares byee!"

The living room was left at least 50 shades redder than it was before, with as embarrassed as Ruby and Weiss were.

"Your dad is uh…" Weiss trailed on, looking for a nice word.

"Special?"

"Yes that's a word I'd use."

Fast forward about 5 minutes, to the two now in Ruby's room. A small setting with posters and stuffed animals/pillows/basically everything strewn about on what Weiss thought might have been the softest mattress in the world. Surprising to Weiss, there was a minimal amount of the colour red actually apparent in the room, which Ruby herself well made up for.

"Oh man, this is kinda embarrassing, I haven't been in here since I was a kid!" Ruby stated with nostalgia in her words.

"It's very cute." Weiss summed up.

"Hehe, thanks!"

"Oh you're just too cute Ruby."

They laid on the bed, feeling a bit cramped since it was made for one small girl. But being close together was nothing new anyways.

"Hey Weiss, do you remember when we first met?"

"Are you sure that's a good memory of us?" Weiss asked, unfortunately remembering that time.

"Hehe ok ok, how about when we first got together?"

"Like I could forget. That day really changed how I saw a lot of things. I mean thinking back we were pretty cringy huh. Just kinda went from 0-100 in one night. Man that's almost like a bad romcom."

"Hey I have feelings ya know!" Ruby huffed.

"Hah, I loved every second of our soap opera." Weiss replied, patting the younger girl's head.

"Every time I think about all the time we've spent together over the past 4 years, I feel like I love you a little more."

"Every time I hear your cheesy lines, I feel like I love YOU a little more." Weiss teased, giggling at the pout Ruby made.

"I just can't believe how long it's been! It feels like we just started our first year."

"I know, but now we've grown up. Its weird to think we're adults now, but I kinda like the idea. Besides, you've DEFINITELY grown, Ruby." Weiss said suggestively, possibly breaking some noise pollution laws.

"So have you, you're actually taller than me now, Weiss. And I do love these longer legs…" Ruby said, also suggestively and definitely breaking noise pollution laws.

"THIN WALLS! Taiyang yelled from the other side of the wall.

"SHUT UP DAD I BET YOU AREN'T EVEN MY REAL DAD!"

"HOW DID YOU KNOW?!"

"IT WAS A JOKE HONEY LOVE YOUU!"

"Hehe, I love how you and your family are. It's so lively and fun." Weiss said as she let her giggles run free.

"Oh please, you act like you aren't a part of this family." Ruby replied.

"Yeah, I guess I am huh?"

The two, now feeling the eventful day hit them, started drifting to sleep. Knowing that when they wake up they start the first day of the rest of their lives.

"I wouldn't have it any other way."

"Yang!"

"Rubles!"

The two sisters ran to each other for a hug. After a week at home after graduating, the two were all too happy to see each other again.

"It's good to see you two again, Blake. How was your week?" Weiss asked

"It was…"

A mental recap of the warzone their manor had become, after her father's freakout at not being at his daughter's wedding.

"Eventful." She finished.

Now that the four had come together again at the airport, they spent all the time they could together, preparing for them to go their separate ways again. Time had passed and it had already reached night time, signaling their time getting short as the four sat on the large bench, admiring the view of the night sky and the moon.

"So what are you two gonna do now?" Yang asked to Ruby and Weiss.

"Well, of course we're going to stay huntresses. But I think we're gonna settle down a bit too, you know, enjoy our lives at the same time." Weiss replied as Ruby linked their arms.

"Yeah, as much as I like killing things, I love Weiss more. I'd like to have some time for us." Ruby added with her cheery voice.

"Eheh, you know sometimes you can be a little scary Rubes"

"How about you?" Weiss turned the question to Blake.

"Well half the reason we're at the airport is because our plans are to-"

"We're gonna go round the world! Takin in all the sights, beatin the exotic grimm, the finer things you know?" Yang butted in, cutting Blake off.

"That's essentially our plan. We felt like travel was just more our thing, it kind of always has."

"Man, I wish Weiss would take me somewhere cool!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Ruby you know I LITERALLY have the money to get us a trip anywhere, at any time." The Rich girl replied.

"Hehe, you two…" Blake chuckled to herself, watching the other pair.

"You know, I'm really going to miss all this time we've spent together, more than just as students or spouses. I'm going to miss all of us being together, as a team and as friends. I hope we can all get together again soon."

Weiss finished her speech, eyes starting to water a little. Of course as happy as they all were, none of them had eyes any sort of dry.

"Attention, all passengers for flight 327 nonstop from Vale to Vacuo, boarding has begun."

"Well, that's us…" Blake said with sadness.

"Time to say goodbye." Ruby softly spoke.

"Take care you guys! Call… a lot! Ruby you better make sure to eat right, you can't survive on sugar!" Yang yelled as they walked through their gate.

"I guess we should get going too." Weiss stated as she watched the two escape from sight.

"Weiss, are we gonna be together until we're old and bony?"

"Yes, without a doubt."

"Will the four of us always be friends, always be connected?"

"Of course, Ruby."

"I kinda expected you to say something like 'Well Ruby the future is never certain but i'm sure-'"

"What kind of impression of me is that?!"

"Hehehe."

Ruby couldn't stop herself from giggling up a storm, which Weiss started to add to.

"I guess we aren't so lonely after all, huh?"

"How could I be when I have you, Ruby?

This is one of those bittersweet moments where I experience all those years of emotions, writing this story, all come back to me at once. I'm so happy and appreciative of you all.
