Light sighed loudly as he dragged himself into their dorm room, dropping himself onto his previously claimed bed. "Worst airport trip ever."

A monotoned chuckle came from L's corner of the room. "Didn't you travel here by plane previously?"

The brunette groaned and lifted himself from his bed. "Yeah. With my parents. I went alone this year…" Opening up his luggage, to unpack he stared at the bag with an annoyed stare. "And, apparently I can't be trusted to do that! As I've grabbed someone else's luggage!" Another long groan was heard from Light as he flopped back on his bed.

A clean uniform landed on his face as well as two pairs of sweatpants and three different shirts. The smell of a lit cigarette whirled around the room as Beyond slammed the door shut. "Use that then. Don't leave the door open. I have packed too many clothes with me anyway, and you're about the same size as me." His scarlet eyes darted around the room in search of something.

Light pulled the clothes off of his head and gave him an appreciative smile before his honeyed eyes widened as something sharp entered his foot. "What the fuck?!" The brunette shouted as he yanked his foot onto the bed.

Beyond snatched a small kitten up into his arm and scolded the silver kitten. "No, no, Light isn't nearly as fun to attack as you think he'll be. Trust me. I know."

The brunette sat on his bed, holding his foot sputtering to keep up with the situation. "You're not supposed to have that thing in here."

Casting a disapproving glare towards Light, the raven cradled the small cat. "She's not a thing! She's an it. And her name is Abby."

Rolling his amber eyes in response. "Because she's a Tabby?"

Beyond hugged the small kitten and spoke with a sarcastically cute voice. "No, because, I found her in the garbage on Abby St."

Light threw his hands up in the air and scoffed. "L. You can't possibly think this will end well, right?"

Turning in his chair in seeming dramatic slow motion, stormy grey owlish eyes gauged the situation. "We'll be fine if no one says anything. What are they going to do? Expel him? Give the cat a toss outside? Unlikely for both. However, on the twenty-eight percent chance they do toss the kitten out, it's still a better living condition than the garbage."

Mello entered the room, closing the door behind him before he snatched Beyond's cigarette from him. "Who cares? The damned thing is pretty cute."

Matt walked out of the bathroom while wiping his mouth with a small towel; and through the current conversation. "We only have two days to readjust to the time zone, we should all try to go to bed. Let him keep the cat. It isn't hurting anyone, right? No allergies?" Everyone shook their heads slightly. "There. Problem solved." He clicked the room light off before any protest could be made and dropped into his respective bed.

Opening his amber eyes, Light groaned while swinging his legs out of the bed and onto the cold floor, causing him to flinch slightly. His gaze fell onto Beyond who was sprawled out across his bed on his stomach, the little cat curled up on the small of his back.

Glancing down to the Black Veiled Brides t-shirt, also ironically black, Light sighed. 'Well, Beyond isn't exactly known for his wide range in clothing. Rock band t-shirts, dark jeans or dark sweatpants, and the same tired converse shoes seem to be his go to casuals.'

A soft chiming sound came from Light's phone. Picking it up and reading the message he smirked and started to text back. Naomi, like him, is a morning person. Over the summer, Light and Naomi grew close, she spent the summer with her grandparents in Japan, whom lived only a few blocks from his home.

*This sucks. I already want to go home to Japan… I forgot my roommates don't speak a lick of it so I confused them for a good twenty minutes.*

Chuckling quietly to himself his fingers sped across the screen with lightning speed. -Ha! I fortunately didn't have that problem… Though, I suspect if I did, L would fire back at me in Japanese.-

*Ugh. So would Beyond. His mother is only a fourth Australian, and his father was a quarter Japanese, I think… Does that make him half Japanese? Damnit! I thought I had at least that over him!*

-I can't say I knew that… He doesn't talk about his parents, you know it doesn't matter to me, right? Haha!- His amber stare wandered towards Beyond as his phone chimed twice.

*I know it doesn't matter* *I heard from my Dad, they found Beyond's mom down the Los Angeles river, try to be nice to him, he needs his friends more than ever now, I've never met his dad, but I'm sure he's in the picture now; considering he's attending school again this year. The only thing he ever said about him was he was a piece of… poop, but he used less tactful language.*

Honey hued orbs widened in shock as he shot a stare up towards the now stirring raven. -He didn't even say anything! That's, like, something you tell people! Especially people who are supposed to be close? Right? I mean, I would be a wreck, I probably wouldn't have turned up again.- He couldn't help but snicker a little at her reluctance to cuss.

*If he hasn't told you, don't bring it up. He may not be ready for you guys to know.*

Light lifted his phone to message her back before his name was called over the loud speaker of the school to report to the front desk. The brunette could feel his stomach drop. "What's this about?"

A hum came from L. "Best not to keep them waiting."

A nod came from Light as he lifted himself from the bed and started to the front. His mind racing the whole time. 'School hasn't even started yet… I hope everyone at home is alright. What could I have done already? I'm not even the troublemaker of our room!'

Reaching the front desk he stared in slight confusion at the older couple with an identical luggage bag as his. The older man turned to him. "Ah! You must be Raito! Apparently, there was some confusion at the airport. When my wife opened her bag last night at the hotel she was given quite the fright at the sight of underpants that weren't mine." He chuckled at his blushing wife. "So we read the name in the bag and followed the GPS to the address.

Cheerfully Light chuckled and itched the back of his head. "Yes. I discovered that as well, I'll go fetch your bag. I promise that I haven't rummaged through it." He bowed quickly and sprinted to retrieve the bag.
