Weeks have passed since Buttercup's wedding. Ace has been buried and strangely, Buttercup was his beneficiary to his empire. She's recovering from her injury yet not mentally prepared for her role in this business. She was signing release paper on the hospital bed when her mother walked in. "You've been in here for 20 minutes signing papers, what are you signing? Your life away?" She came to Buttercup's side in good spirits, only to feel the hostility coming from her daughter.
"I don't know how to sign, should I sign Buttercup Green or Jojo?" She continued to stare at the pen.
"You chose what you want. You two technically aren't married, he was just prepared to give you that better life you wanted." Rosaline sat down next to her.
"Don't make him seem like a good person, we both know what dad was sending me into." Buttercup looked up at her mother, and tears came to her eyes. "You have shown me more affection the time I've been in here than you have my entire life. Why?" Rosaline put her arms around her daughter in a heartwarming embrace.
"I'm trying to make up for lost time. Let me be the mother I was always meant to be." Buttercup wanted to lean into her mom and break down. She wanted to be that little girl again, but that girl was gone. She died at a young age and wasn't coming back.
"You can't be that mother because I'm not a little girl anymore. That innocence is long gone." Buttercup pulled away and quickly signed in the designated areas.
"Let me try. Listen to me when I say, I can fix this" Buttercup momentarily paused while her mother spoke in a spark of belief in what she was saying. She was too heartbroken and damaged to have hope in anything, even her family.
Brick was walking down the corridor in his home, thinking of the events of his last meeting. The concern of his mother, raced through his mind. Little did she know, she was the key to the majority of their family's wealth. Once those divorce papers were finalized, all would go to shit. Brick was determined to do something to save it all, but he couldn't help but think about what Blossom said 2 weeks ago. He walked into his room to find it empty. "Blossom?" She popped her head out of her closet. "I'm guessing this means you aren't ready" He took a seat on the edge of the bed which Hilda neatly prepared.
"It's not my fault! You're back early! How was everything?" She put in her earring while briefly listening to Brick talk about business.
"It will get better, I hope" She heard the desperation in his voice and come to his side. He looked to her and couldn't help but be in awe. She was gorgeous even without trying. Her hair was in a high bun with a few stray pieces falling, minimal make-up and stunning diamond earrings. She wore a black and white peplum skirt with a silky white blouse, covered with a pink blazer.
"How do I look?" She posed for him with a slight wink.
"A bit too sexy just to be going to another meeting" He gave a concerning eyebrow raise.
"I look fine, vey business-y in fact thank you" She skipped around putting on her shoes while giving Brick a small glare.
"You sure you, hopefully Mr. Brier can stay focus. Hopefully I can stay focus" Brick walks over to Blossom, pulling her closer to him. She gives him a quick peck on the lips before pushing him away.
"Stay focused Jojo"
Buttercup looked up to the house that was now her home. She was about to ring the doorbell when the door simply opened. "Hello?" She walked in with a few materials, scanning the familiar surrounds of the home when she came upon a maid. "Um, I said hello" The maid turned around to look at her and almost jumped out of her skin.
"Mrs. Green! We didn't expect you to come back here."
"Where is everyone?"
"You want an honest answer?" Buttercup nodded at the maid's question. "There's a huge party going on downstairs. All of Ace's boys are down their living it up and they have been for a day or two now. There's prostitutes, dope boys and all kinds of evils down there. Seeing as I'm just a maid, I have no say so. However, I feel it is very disrespectful to do so in the home of late Mr. Green. Somehow I feel he would approve though" The maid grabbed Buttercup's bags and proceeded towards Ace's old room. "Since you will be staying here, you want the master's bedroom, yes?"
"Sure. If they are having a party, why can't I hear anything?"
"Sound proof. That's where Ace took care of his business, if you know what I mean." The maid opened the bedroom door and squealed at the sight. There Snake was, in mid-stroke, doggy-style on his boss' bed.
"Ahhh...AHHH." He immediately pulled away from the girl. She just lowered herself from the position and winked at Buttercup.
"Are they coming to join us, Snake?" The asked him in a seductive voice. Buttercup move towards the bed and grabbed the girl by her hair.
"Do you know who I am?" The girls whined.
"No, let go of me."
"I'm Mrs. Buttercup Green, remember the name. Snake is my employee and you were fucking in my bed. I suggest you get the fuck out and never come back. Or I will find you and you will beg for death, do you understand me?" The girl nodded her head as best as she could. Once Buttercup released her, she quickly gathered her clothes before scrambling away. Buttercup turned to Snake, whom now had pants on. "Are you fucking kidding me? Did you not expect me to come home?"
"This is your home now? Last time I checked you didn't want to be here. You didn't want this life. You didn't realize what was really happening"
"I realized it! I accepted it even after all the bullshit he put me through. WHY DO YOU THINK I'M HERE NOW?!" Snake didn't reply to her yet just stared at her with cold eyes. "All that matters is I run you now. I'm taking over this ship, do you understand me? I'm the captain now." She moved closer to him to seem more intimidating. "You are going to get me new sheets." She pointed towards the maid, who quickly scrambled.
"Yes,"
"And you, Snake will tell everyone downstairs that the party is over. Mama's home."
Mr. Brier watched Blossom and Brick come in holding hands, young love so pure and true. Soon it would be tainted and broken. "Welcome Brick, how are ya?" He shook his hand before he sat down and giving Blossom a small hug.
"I'm doing well, this is my fiancé Blossom."
"Yes, I know. You two are the 'royal couple'. All over entertainment news. How's the spotlight treating ya?"
"It's not effecting us at all, however the business side of things is kicking our ass. This is where you come in" Brick went from casual to business within seconds. Brier nodded in return as a cue for Brick to continue with his proposal. "We would like for you to be a part of our franchise. With you in tow, all aspect of business grow for not only us but you as well. I'm aware that you aren't particularly in the drug business but the inside mission business. We can offer money for your supplies and mission but in return we ask for 30% of all earnings as well as full access to your workers."
"30%, that's a bit much"
"Notice I didn't put on amount on the amount we could supply you."
"What's with the full access to my men? I know making a deal with me will piss a few people off."
"Exactly, with my parents' divorce going through, I need as much ammo as possible." Brick sat pack in his chair as he noticed Brier became more open to his proposal. "On top of that we can introduce you into other lines of work. Your boys want to help with smuggling or spy, we have connections in those fields as well."
"Well this is just a line of opportunity then, huh? You have a deal "Mr. Brier extended his hand for Brick to shake, which he gladly took. Now it was Blossom's time to but in. She pulled out documents from her feminine suitcase.
"Here are the documents which go into detail those specific terms, which will need to be signed before the end of this week. Once they are signed we would like to offer you a bonus."
"What kind of bonus? What kind of job?" brier took hold of the contract while entertaining Blossom's conversation.
"From my research you have a sort of assassin team. Not that I couldn't handle a mission myself, my fiancé wouldn't let me."
"I see why, you are a charming young lady." Brier was flipping through pages of the contract, slightly listening to Blossom.
"Yes, I need a hitman job completed for let's say the small amount of 2 million." Brier completely stop fumbling with the contract and focused himself on Blossom. "I knew that would gather your full attention. As you can tell, I am a sight to see however I am a business woman as well. I demand respect. Get those contract signed within a timely manner and we could possibly talk further about this deal, yes?" Blossom gave him a genuine smile before looked towards Brick. "I think our business here is done"
Buttercup went down into the sound proof room which the maid spoke of. Portraits of Ace were covered with thin sheets and the room reeked of sex and marijuana. She quickly became furious. All his workers were downstairs as she called for an emergency meeting yet the remains of the party were more than evident. The room was large, darkened with mood lights. There was a few couches, pool tables, a large TV up on the wall and of course stripper poles. Buttercup slightly smiled as this room reminded her of Ace. Her slight moment of reminisce was broken as someone decided to speak out. "Why did you stop the party?" They were a ring of agreement to the question then another came out of the slight crowd of guys. "Why are you here?" Another ring of cheers rang through in agreement.
"I'm here because I'm Ace's fucking wife. This is my business now. While I was gone, obviously you idiots thought it was going to be okay to completely disrespect Ace and throw a fucking party!"
"We buried him, not you!" The big green one spoke out. Buttercup moved closer to him and looked him directly in the eyes before slapping him across the face.
"Excuse me?" His eyes dared to say something but his head told him to do differently. "I will take the reins of his company in honor of him and take reigns of you idiots. However things will be so different. Shit like what took place down here for the last few days will only happen on WEEKENDS."
"Weekendsss? That's it? We you to have party's like that EVERY night!" Snake leaned up against the wall, avoiding Buttercup's eyes. She quickly took out a gun and shot in him the arm.
"I said weekends because the shit that took place in my bedroom earlier today was FUCKING UNACCEPTABLE. Don't you think so, Snake?" He nodded in agreement as he slid down the wall holding his arm in pain. Buttercup had these boss shaken up and it didn't' take much. "I DEMAND respect, I will have it or I will have your balls hanging up on these very walls next to the explicit images of the female anatomy." Buttercup took a look around the room in disgust. "Actually no, take those down now. Except the one of Kate Upton she's hot. Uncover all the images of Ace, we will honor him. Get snake some medical help and someone make me a sandwich." Buttercup was turned away moving towards the exit while she spoke these demands yet she heard no movement. She turned around and pulled the trigger, not caring where it hit. "That means MOVE DAMNIT!"
Brick and Blossom were in Jojo's office, looking at how much damage would be created once the divorce becomes final. "Bloss, the list in endless. There's no way would could recover this on our own" He place the last folder down before sliding his hand over his face.
"Okay well we could actually try, or convince your mother to extend those deals with some legal ties. Or we could go busting shit up and demand their loyalty." Blossom winked towards Brick in a jokingly manner.
"See that's what Utonium's do. Don't bring your tyrant ways on this side of the tracks" Blossom pushed Brick playfully and they laughed at his joke. "Seriously, that's bullying we don't conduct business that way."
"And that Jojo, will be the reason why you don't get a results. Sometimes you have to step on their necks to get what you want." She sat back on the desk with her legs and arms crossed.
"Your father sent you away to be an assassin, you're a trained killer. I don't think I should be taking business advice from you. But thanks Bloss." He gave her a small smirk before burying his head into the folders again. Blossom took slight offence to his comment and grabbed the folder from his hands to gain his attention.
"Okay fine but let me just ask this, you're mom conducted 45% of the profit your family earns monthly. You don't think I can do the same thing?" She looked directly into his eyes demanding a response.
"You shouldn't be worried about making deals, you should be focused upon our wedding. You can do that" He nodded towards Blossom as he tried to consume himself again in work but Blossom pulled it away from him again.
"Hey, don't just shoo me off here. We work together, remember? Do you not think I can secure things myself and be a business woman?"
"Honestly? No. Your too hostile with your approach, loosen up a bit."
"I'm a woman, I have to be a bit of a bitch with my approach or men will walk all over me but that's beside the point. You don't think I can do it. Okay Jojo." Blossom threw the folder at Brick before turning on her heels and headed out of the office. Brick sat in defeat as he knew he just started something. As Blossom slammed the door behind her she began to feel deep pains within her abdominal. She feels down in pain when Bubbles was passing by.
"You okay?" She stopped in-front of the pink-eyes beauty in pain.
"I'll be alright, thanks. How are you?"
"Pregnant. That's the best response I can give you. I'm up, I'm down and peanut butter pickles sound amazing right now" Blossom picked herself up and grabbed Bubbles hand.
"Well let's go get some"
Buttercup sat at Ace's desk, letting her hand grace the desk in deep admiration. She opened the first drawer to see a note with her name on it. She was about to pick it up when she heard a knock at the door. "Come in." She quickly closed the drawer to see Billy come in with a sandwich in tow.
"I brought PB&J. I didn't know what to make but you can't go wrong with that, right?" He placed the plate on the table and backed away respectively.
"Of course not I guess. Thanks, Billy. Can I ask you a question?" Buttercup eyed the sandwich before looking over to Billy for a response.
"Shoot, boss" She slightly smiled at the casual name.
"Do you think I can take over Ace's company? Do you think I can maintain things?" She sunk in her seat a bit waiting for a response.
"Honestly, you are more capable than any of her faithful employees. He wanted you to, that was one of his wishes." Billy s\went over to a cabinet and pulled out a folder to bring to Buttercup. "You should start here." She took hold on the folder then shot his a glorious smile. "Now are we going to piss some people off? Yes for various reasons. However you hold your head up high because you have our support and respect. It's what Ace would have wanted." Buttercup felt rejuvenated at Billy's words.
"And here I thought you were the dumb one. Thank you Billy, for the words of encouragement and the sandwich."
"Anytime Boss" He gave a genuine toothless smile before exiting the room and leaving Buttercup to her own ventures. She opened the folder before her and gasp at its contents.
"Sedurita you sneaky bitch." She whispered to herself as she read more and more content.
Roseline sat in the all-white room, with her hands folding her lap and her head down. She couldn't look in his face as he was the biggest mistake she ever made. "Does your client agree with these terms?" Maurice interrupted and spoke instead.
"Of course she does, she has no choice to. Even when I'm not with her I own her." That made Roseline die a little more inside as she spoke in her lawyer's ear.
"My client agrees with the terms and conditions. I see this meeting adjourned." Everyone began to move and gather their belongings to leave. Maurice was the first out, following his lawyer. Stayed behind to talk to Roseline whom was still sitting in her seat. She hadn't moved an inch. "Roseline how did you deal with that kind of behavior for years?"
"Things weren't always that way, Grace. He was once a sweet man, but the world we live in corrupt him. He got consumed in it then all he cared about was money and power. He began to ruin everything her touched."
"Why not leave then? You saw this happened before your eyes."
"I loved him for a long time. Even after the wrong I've been put through because of him, I stayed by his side. I'm trying to get away now though, does that count for something?"
"If would if he had more respect for you. My advice as a lawyer and if you really wanted payback. Yeah let him keep everything, then write a tell-all book. And I mean tell it all. He would have no say-so in profits because I would make sure that clause would be written within the divorce agreement. I hate to see good women crushed like this. I want you to lift up and be more. He doesn't deserve the high horse he constantly rides on and YOU are the only one that can bring him down." Roseline didn't make eye-contact with her lawyer as she didn't want her to see her crying. She only nodded. Grace grabbed some tissues nearby to give to Roseline "Give some thought to what I said, okay?" With that Grace left Roseline to sulk in her own thoughts.
