A/N: Happy Valentines Day! I know it's not Valentine's day yet, but I'm gonna be gone over the weekend, so I had to post this now. Here's a new story arc. This one… is gonna be interesting, that's for sure. I'll switch between this and the park arc for now.
To the chapter!
Chapter 46: Smashin' A Heart 1
The smashers were congregated inside the train station, as today they were gonna find out who the last two smashers were going to be.
"Look, I see the train coming now!" Falco yelled.
Chattering exploded throughout the smashers as the train stopped in front of them. Suddenly, the door of the train burst open, and out slid the Angel-fighting witch herself, Bayonetta!
When she finished her slide, she started breakdancing while shooting bullets out of her guns and gun-shoes, causing bullets to fly everywhere.
"Y'know, as painful as getting hit by a bullet looks like on TV, it really doesn't feel that bad. Maybe a slight tingling feeling but that's it." One smasher commented.
She ended off her breakdancing laying down, with her bosom slightly protruding from the rest of her body.
"Hey, I'm Bayonetta. Don't look too much, else it might be your last." She said coyly.
The station erupted into applause at the very interesting new smasher.
"Wowee… She's a real looker, ain't she?" Pit remarked, drooling a bit.
Phosphora, who was nearby for no apparent reason (hint hint), said, "Careful, Pit. I've heard of this witch from Palutena, and-"
"Witch? That's a bit harsh, don't you think? At least get to know her first!" Pit exclaimed.
"No, hon. She means that I'm really a witch." Bayonetta said, walking up to them. "I guess you could say being a witch is my… Occupation."
"Yeah, you're a witch that fights angels." Palutena, who was keeping an eye on her, said.
"Haha! Oh, don't worry yourself. I won't hurt little Pitty over here… Unless he asks politely." She said, winking at Pit.
Pit was considerably taken aback by this statement. "Oh, uh… Hah…"
Phosphorous turned on him, looking confused. "Pit, you're usually angry when someone calls you 'Pitty'! Why aren't you angry?"
"Oh, it's because he's an angel! Aren't you?" The witch smirked.
"Uh… Uh-huh." Pit said, giggling stupidly.
"Well, I'm bored of this conversation. Hey, you!" Bayonetta pointed to Mario. "Plumber-Boy! Would you kindly escort me to my housing?"
Mario blushed. "Uh, sure… Right this-a way please."
Mario and Bayonetta walking out of the train station, followed by most of everyone else. Peach was keeping as especially close eye on her, as well as the rest of the females. I wonder why.
During Mario's tour of the city, Zelda and Lucina got to talking.
"Hey, Zelda." Lucina said. "What do you think of this new smasher?"
"Oh," Zelda said, "she certainly has…spirit. She has every male smasher wrapped around her finger." She gestured towards the witch, who was surrounded by adorers asking for autographs.
"Yeah. I read about that. Usually witches like her have that bewitching aura about them. It usually only works on people who are in a relationship." Lucina said. "Once she's here for a few days it should wear off. Hopefully."
Zelda nodded. "Wait, if it only works on people who are in a relationship, then why is Pit chasing her around too?"
"Beats me. But the thing I'm more concerned about…" Lucina looked her dead in the eye. "...is why Link isn't chasing her?"
Zelda gulped. "Um…"
Lucina put he hand of her shoulder. "Zelda, when are you gonna get the courage to ask Link out?"
Zelda sighed. "I know, it's just… I'm just waiting for the right time."
"Well, the 'right' time may be closer than you think."
Zelda sighed. "You're probably right."
"You're darn right I'm right!" Lucina said.
Zelda closed her eyes in thought for a bit. "...thanks, Lucina." She then turned around and walked back towards the train station. Nobody noticed because they were too busy focusing on Bayonetta.
Back at the train station…
Link, Samus, and Captain Falcon were the only ones left after Bayonetta left.
"Wait, isn't there supposed to be another smasher?" Link asked.
"Yeah, you're right!" Falcon said. "They're probably in the other train cart."
All of a sudden, the other train cart's door exploded, and out came two medium sized white dragons with pointy joints.
"Are you serious? A freakin' dragon?" Samus asked.
"Yeah, and there's two of them!" Falcon exclaimed. "Are they even tame?"
"Don't worry! I know how to tame them!" Link said. He slowly approached one of them, holding up his left hand in front of him. "I saw this in a kids' movie, so it must work!"
He slowly put his hand on the forehead of the dragon. The dragon didn't do anything; it just stared at him, looking almost amused.
Link turned his head to Samus and Falcon. "See? I told you these dragons were tame!"
Samus and Falcon looked at him in shock.
"Um… Link?" Samus pointed to the dragons.
Link turned his head back, and found his hand on the forehead of a human, not a dragon.
"Ah!" Link jumped back in surprise as the two humans who stood where the dragons just stood started laughing. Pretty soon Samus and Falcon were laughing too.
"Hahaha! Got ya good!" The human said.
"W-what just happened?" Link asked, scrambling back. He just realized that the two of them looked exactly like one another, only that one was a boy and one was a girl.
"I dunno, but it was pretty freakin' funny!" Samus chuckled.
"I guess it doesn't make sense that he doesn't know us, since our game hasn't even been released yet…" the boy said. "The name's Corrin. I'm the new Fire Emblem character."
Link sighed. "Another Fire Emblem character? Alright. Welcome!" He shook his hand. Then, Corrin introduced himself to the other two.
Link turned his attention to the girl, who had said nothing yet and who was just staring at him. "I assume you're Corrin too?"
"Yup."
"Welcome to smash, I guess!" Link smiled. "Hey, are you barefoot?"
Corrin (female) smiled. "Yup! Don't ask why, cuz the author doesn't know yet."
Link nodded. "OK. Hey, do you mind if I call you Corrina? You are a girl, after all."
"Yup. I mean, I don't mind!" She said, smiling.
"Hehe."
"Hey," Samus said. "Do you wanna know where you guys are staying? I can take you if you want."
"Actually…" Corrina said. "I think Link should take us."
"Y'think so?" Corrin asked. "Why?"
"Well, Samus and Captain Falcon can take you if you want, but uh…Link seems the most qualified to take us." She said.
"Alright. I mean, you've been around each other for the whole train ride, so it does sound like a good idea to spend time around new company." Falcon said. "Good thinking, comrade Corrina!"
"Yup!" Corrina said. "What the buff guy said!"
"Alright, if you say so." Corrin said.
"Wait… How do you know my name?" Link asked.
Corrina's eyes widened. "Aw, don't worry about it."
"Cool!" Falcon said. "I can give you the special, trademarked, and extravagant Captain-Falcon-Edition of the tour of the city! Let's go!" Falcon grabbed Corrin's hand and ran out the door, with Samus following behind them.
"Well, shall we be off?" Corrina asked, turning to Link.
Link definitely felt something off in this girl. The Malon-Swarm incident has taught him to not trust anyone. Especially if they were acting strange, like she was. He narrowed his eyes. "Yeah… Let's get the tour started."
A/N: Tense. What's gonna happen next? Nobody knooooowwwwsss. Not even me, heh. I have a general idea of where I wanna take this arc, though. I usually don't like writing these types of stories, because I don't really go through this in my life (I don't think anybody does tbh), and it just feels awkward. Valentine's Day was my main motivation. And I don't wanna spoil anything, but after this arc, I'll not have to write any more arcs centering around love and crushes and all that stuff for a while…
And my opinions on the new characters? Corrin is really good, and easy to use. Bayonetta takes a lot of time to master, but is amazing once you do. Both are really fun to play as!
Until next chapter!
