A/N: So, I was looking at my story when I realized I reached 100 reviews! Thank you guys so much for leaving your thoughts, because it really inspires me to write these chapters!
Anyways, I've been really busy playing Earthbound (one of the best rpg's I've played so far) and Don't Starve (on day 50 and counting with Wendy) but the recent influx of support gave me inspiration to do this chapter quickly, so thank you!
To the chapter!
Chapter 47: The Day At The Park Pt. 2
"You sure this plan will work?" Lucas asked, looking up at Nana.
Their plan was to dig their way into the boat from underneath, obviously.
As Lucas dug a deeper and deeper hole, he started to get slower and slower with fatigue. Nana started to get impatient when Lucas was barely doing anything, so she went and caught an Excadrill with a pokeball that Red gave her.
"Ah! This is much better!" Lucas cheered as they rode on Excadrill's back underground.
"Yup! That's why I'm the boss!" Nana said, beaming.
"Yeah! This plan of yours is great!" Lucas exclaimed.
"I know. I'm the only one with the brain capacity to dig up to the boat right under Waluigi's gigantic nose!"
Lucas laughed. "You are a genius! I don't even know how we're planning to get past the water, but your plan for that is probably too complicated for me anyways."
Nana chuckled. "Yeah it is... Wait..." Nana froze. "The water?"
Lucas nodded, although Nana couldn't see him in the darkness. "Yeah! How are we gonna get through the water? You obviously have a plan for that, right?"
A bulb in Nana's brain went off and she gasped. "Excadrill! Turn around now before we hit the wat-" too late, Excadrill drilled right into the water, causing water to fill up the small tunnel they were in at an alarming rate. "Excadrill! Hurry! Turn around!"
"Excadrill!" The Pokemon started running through the cave for its life.
"You didn't have a plan for the water?" Lucas asked. "Oh, why am I not surprised?"
Nana punched him. "Shut up! It's not like I knew there was gonna be water!"
"We're trying to get on a boat, Nana!"
"... Fair point."
The water eventually caught up to them, and they soon found themselves coughing up water on the grass next to the river. Behind them was a water geyser.
"Huh, I totally thought that water would've launched us into the air again." Lucas thought.
Waluigi, who had watched the whole thing from the beginning, laughed. "Oh, u can arrange that…"
"What?" Lucas asked. Looking down, he found that he and Nana were on the place where Waluigi launched them the last time. "Oh no."
"Oh yeeessssss!" Waluigi yelled. He flipped the lever, causing the two youngsters to fly into the air once again.
Waluigi laughed heartily. "Heh, at this rate they're gonna put Team Rocket out of business."
Meanwhile, at the playground mountain…
"Ness, hurry! Pops and Villager are ahead of us!"
"Well, soooory." Ness said, swinging across the last pair of monkey-bars. "You didn't give me a chance to warm up my monkey-bar hands."
"That was the warm up round! The real challenge starts now; you should just not suck!" Toon Link retorted. "Hurry! They're already half-way through the swing-sets!"
They kept swinging from bar to bar until they finally reached the first challenge of the mountain, the swing sets.
The swing-set challenge consisted of twenty sets of swings in a straight line. One would have to swing from one to another to reach the next challenge.
Toon Link started jumping from across the swings. Need caught up a couple seconds later, and got on the first swing. However, he noticed that the swings had been jumped on in such a way that made it extremely difficult to get from one to the next. "Toon Link! You're messing the swings up for me! Wait for me!"
"I can't!" Toon Link said. He pointed to Villager and Popo, who were jumping between swings together.
"One, two, three, jump!" Popo would yell. Then, they would jump at the same time to the next swing, and repeat the process.
"I'm catching up to them!" Toon Link yelled. "Don't stop me now!"
"Argh…" Ness groaned. He waited for the swings to lose their momentum before starting. By then, Toon Link had already closed the gap between himself and the other group, but had increased the gap between them and Ness.
On the last few swings, Toon Link passed Villager and Popo, and finished the challenge first. "Haha! I did it!" Toon Link said. He ran across the platform to the next challenge. All it was was two walls near each other.
"What is this?" Toon Link asked himself. Next to him was a sign. On the sign was two solid, parallel black lines, symbolizing the two walls in the challenge. Then, there were two people with their backs against one another's and their feet against the walls.
"Oh, I get it…" Toon Link said. "Wait… this is a team challenge! Where's Ness?" He turned around to see Villager and Popo finish the swing-set challenge. Ness still had about three swings to go.
"Ness! Hurry up!" Toon Link yelled.
"If he done by now if you didn't mess up the swings!" Ness yelled back.
"Hah, looks like your team isn't working out, is it?" Villager taunted. He and Popo then started climbing the wall together. "See you at the top! Or not!"
Toon Link could only say some very nasty words as Villager and Popo left the two of them in the dust.
Back to the river…
Waluigi was sitting back, sipping on lemonade, when a woman with a baby face dressed in a hot dog suit walked up to the stand. In her hand was a hamburger bag.
The hot dog stumbled up to the ticket stand. "Um… Uh… One ticket for the boat ride, please."
"Uh… Sure…" Waluigi said. "Hey, that suit looks pretty cool."
"Oh, uh… Thanks." She said.
"Is it roomy?" Waluigi asked.
"What do you mean?" The woman asked.
"Oh, nothing… Lucas and Nana!" He yelled. In one swift movement, he ripped open the hot dog suit and revealed…
Well, let's just say Nana and Lucas weren't hiding there. Instead, it was the woman's hamburger-themed clothes!
"Oh, I'm so sorry! I just thought that-"
"..you better pay for that suit." The woman scoffed.
"Oh, yes, ma'am! So sorry! Just give me your contact info so I can mail you the money."
"Ok." She looked into her bag and screamed. She dropped the bag, onto the floor, and out came Nana and Lucas! Waluigi glared at them while tapping his foot.
"Oh my, how did we get in there?" Nana asked.
"Weren't you the one who suggested hiding in there?" Lucas asked.
"I don't know what you're talking about." Nana said. "Cmon, let's go." She grabbed his hand and they ran away.
They ran for a couple minutes, then dived into a bush to hide. Their landing was softened by Snake, who was scouting for enemies.
"Ah! Get off me, kid!" He shoved the two of them out of the bush.
Next to the bush, Falcon was sitting down, looking bored.
"Snake… It's been forty-five minutes. Can we please check somewhere else?"
"No! I once waited for days on end to take out a sniper… Of course, it turned out he died during that time from old age, but that's not the point! The point is…waiting is the key. Now keep watching your side of the bush!"
Falco groaned. "Whatever." He closed his eyes, and soon found himself half-asleep. He was asleep enough to not notice Bowser and Ganondorf sneaking up on the duo, water balloons in hand.
A/N: Ah, now this is where my writing thrives. Don't get me wrong, I like writing the other arc, but that arc is much more risky to write, because I might write something that will establish something that I might not want later in the story. I hope you understand what I'm saying.
Also, I just realized I never made a Star Wars chapter honoring Star Wars VII. Maybe I will. We'll see.
Until next chapter!
