A/N: Man it feels good to be back. Sorry for the long wait guys. I actually wrote a whole chapter already, but scrapped it due to how terrible it was (trust me, it was bad). I have not lost interest in this story at all, it's just that I had not really had many chances to work on it. In the words of Iwata, Please Understand!

Thanks to everyone who sent me encouraging words about my story! All of you motivate me to keep this story going!

Oh, and to a certain reviewer, I haven't actually finished Spirit of Justice yet because I've been doing a lot of other stuff. I just finished the third case, which was definitely up there in Phoenix Wright cases in my opinion. I mean, some of the logic was weird but the story was amazing.

Anyways, this chapter is a homage to the recently revealed Nintendo Switch. I hope you enjoy! To the chapter!

Chapter 54: Nintendo Switch Prologue

Ashley, the witch from WarioWare, was enjoying a nice, albeit overpriced spider muffin next to her fireplace while reading her necronomicon when she heard the very loud knocking at the door. A voice was yelling from behind it, commanding her to open the door.

"Ah… I guess raising the dead will have to wait." She said, closing the book in one swift motion. She wobbled over to the door with her small legs and looked through the keyhole. To her surprise, Mario was standing outside.

She opened the door. "...may I help you?"

"Yes you can help me! Why am I in Mario's body? What did you give us?"

"I gave you potions to switch your bodies. That's what you asked me to do."

"That's not what we meant by "Nintendo Switch," Ashley!" Mario, or rather, the smasher inside Mario's body said. "The party for the Switch has been ruined now!"

"Hey, that's not my fault. Fear the Monkey's Paw, Yknow?" Ashley said, smirking.

"What does that even mean?" Mario's body asked. "Ah, whatever. The point is… can you fix this?"

"Yeah, but it's gonna take some time and ingredients. I need an assistant, and I know just the guy I want for the job!"

-Later, at home-

"What? Why do I have to help her out?" Toon Link groaned.

"She asked for you specifically." Mario's body said.

"Why don't you do it?" Took Link asked. "You're technically me."

"Yeah, my mind is, but this body isn't. Besides, it's likely to be very dangerous, and I'm not used to this body."

"That reminds me. Should I call you Mario or Link?"

"You're not gonna be calling me anything, because you're going down to Ashley's until this is all fixed." Link (in Mario's body) pushed Toon Link out of the door. "Good luck, and hurry up!" Toon Link shuffled down the sidewalk, grumbling to himself.

Link (in Mario's body) closed the door and went back to the kitchen, where all twelve original smashers were.

"Ok," Link (in Mario's body) said as he sat down. "Have we figured out who has switched with who yet?"

Mario (in Link's body) cleared his throat. "Well, you already know that we switched bodies. Then there's Luigi and Ness, which we figured out pretty easily as they could both talk. As for everyone else… we had to use some common sense."

Luigi (in Ness's body) gestured to Samus, who was trying to inhale Cookie the cat. Thankfully, Cookie dug her claws into the carpet, making her immovable.

"So, uh, I-I guess Samus switched with Kirby, huh?" Link (in Mario's body) said, trying not to laugh as Samus's body wolfed down the whole refrigerator. Kirby's body (with Samus in it) was tugging desperately at her original body, trying to get her to stop eating and ruining her "curves."

"Yeah, they did." Ness (in Luigi's body) said. "Anyways, we figured out Captain Falcon and Jigglypuff switched bodies when we found Jigglypuff flexing in the bathroom. I took a few pictures if you wanna see."

"No thanks, I'm good."

Ness shrugged. "Alright. Well, Donkey Kong is in Yoshi's body, since all Yoshi's body has been doing since the party is slurping up bananas. That leaves Fox and Pikachu as the last pair. I mean, we didn't have to use elimination to figure it out, though…" He pointed to the backyard, where Pikachu was holding a laser gun in its mouth, shooting at a couple of bottles on the other side of the yard.

"Well, I guess that's everyone." Mario (in Link's body) said. "So… what should we do until we get the antidote? I don't want to head outside and cause confusion. Maybe we could write fanfics?"

"What?"

"Oh, nothing."

"Hey, speaking of the antidote, I wonder how Toon Link's doing right now."

-Back at Ashley's House-/

Toon Link was standing in front of Ashley's house, hesitant to push the doorbell. He hadn't really interacted with her since that one incident with the love potions (I dunno what chapter it is put it's in there trust me), and, to be honest, she kinda scared her. However, he was kinda intrigued by her at the same time.

"Well, I guess I have the Triforce of Courage for a reason…" Toon Link said as he rang the doorbell.

Ashley opened the door, a half-eaten spider muffin in her hand. "Ah, my new assistant! Come in, come in!"

Toon Link stepped inside the dark mansion. His feet were met with a long red carpet that stretched to the other end of the room. At the end of the carpet was a small leather chair and a fireplace. On either side of the carpet were large bookshelves reaching the ceiling twenty feet above. The room was very dark; the only lighting came from the lit fireplace.

"Oh, come on this way please." Ashley led Toon Link in between two bookcases. At the wall, she turned a book sideways, causing the bookcase to rotate sideways, revealing a secret hallway behind it.

"Didn't expect that." Toon Link said, rolling his eyes.

Ashley pouted. "Hey, I don't want any sarcasm coming from you! I'm the only one in this partnership who's allowed to be sarcastic."

"Partnership…?" Toon Link grumbled as they walked into the dark corridor.

"Hey, grab my hand." Ashley said, extending her hand towards him. "It's extremely dark in there, and I don't want to lose another assistant."

"Another one…?" Toon Link yelped, grudgingly taking Ashley's hand.

For a minute or two, Toon Link and Ashley walked in complete silence. Every now and then, Ashley would turn to the left or right, dragging Toon Link behind him. Eventually, Toon Link could see a faint green light in the distance. As the light grew closer, he saw that it was coming from a huge see-through cauldron that was almost four times as tall as him. There was some glowing smoky green liquid stirring inside it. Toon Link thought he saw some faces from inside the cauldron whispering to him, but he ignored them. Well, he tried to ignore them, at least.

"Welcome to my potion room!" Ashley said. "This is the room where I make my potions."

"You don't say…" Toon Link said, staring into the cauldron.

"Uh, don't look at that too long." Ashley said, pulling Toon Link away from the cauldron. "You might go insane."

Ashley led Toon Link past the cauldron and to a small table with vials and containers filled with assorted gunk. There was also a small leather book.

"Um, let's see here… there doesn't seem to be any specific potion to reverse the Body-Switcheroo Potion I made, so I guess I'll we're gonna have to make the Universal-Anti Potion."

"Universal-Anti Potion?"

"Yeah. It's a potion made from the most science-y stuff around. It can reverse the effects of any kind of magic, no matter how powerful it is. Only problem is… the ingredients are almost impossible to get."

"Aw, it can't be that hard, right? Just mix some liquid nitrogen with motor oil or something."

"I'm afraid that's not science-y enough." Ashley said. "Let's see… the first thing on our list is a Yoshaur fossil."

"Yoshaur?"

"Yeah, an ancient ancestor of the Yoshi's."

"Well, where can we get one of these fossils?"

"We're gonna need to travel to… Yoshi's Island." Ashley said. "Well, the potion isn't gonna make itself. Shall we be off?"

To be continued…

A/N: This arc's gonna follow Ashley and Toon Link as they travel to exotic places to collect the necessary ingredients for the potion, as well as the original twelve smashers as they struggle to go about your everyday lives with their switched bodies. Hope you all enjoyed, and I am very proud to say: UNTIL NEXT CHAPTER!
