Ben 10 Untitled Fic

Chapter

Ben Tennyson run to the command centre of the Plumber base under his grandpa Max's store, followed by his partner Rook Blonko, his best friend Kevin Levin and his cousin Gwen Tennyson. Grandpa had called Gwen and Kevin back from where Gwen was going to college for this mission. Next to Max was a female Galvan of a young age, save for her eyes.

"Glad you could all make it, it's important. Doctor Alkhemee can help inform you of the problem better then me, since she's the one to ask for our help." said Max as the female Galvan called Alkhemee spoke after him.

"The universe and this world will need your help. I am head of Galvan research in Mythology and Mana Manipulation."

"You're a Galvan wi...sorceress? Ain't the Galvan big into tech, not voodoo?" said Kevin, changing the word he was going to use for magic user with one annoyed glance from his girlfriend.

"My people are devoted to science, and my specialties are not... popular with most. However, even if most would like to avoid and ignore magic, we're also pragmatic enough to make sure it is studied and understood the best we can by those interested. This is also unimportant to the problem at hand. I have discovered someone is smuggling alien magics, spellbooks as as enchanted items and so on, with a sale of such stolen properties taking place in Undertown. It is extremely important we stop this and seize the items before they are use. Or a great many threats, to both innocent and guilty, will occur." said the Galvan Magic Expert.

"What kind of threat? Just magical explosion threat or Diagon extra-dimensional demon-god threat?" asked Ben his ears perking up.

"Either, Neither, Both or anything in between. The issue is magic is a living thing, which means it changes and evolves. Magic in the universe can come into two types, universal magic or keyed magic. Universal magic is like a molecule or element, gold or water, they don't change from world to world which means anyone can use them. Keyed magic is more like the amino acids for things like human blood typing, specific to a group or even a race of life forms. Add B type blood to an A type blood person and they die as the blood types clash. Except replace death with unpredictable effects.

To better explain is to use the example of Pyronite magic. It has many spells for thermal changes, increases or decreasing heat. Ice or Fire spells to be exact. Some of those spells can be used by any races, like humans. Other required the unique aspects of the Pyronite's natural heat and/or flame. Other lifeforms with similar heat and energy could potentially use those spells. If a human used them, however, they could suffer anything from minor burns or frostbite... to being frozen solid to the cellular level or bursting into a flame as hot as a sun.

Which means if the person uses a spell or item with keyed magic, it could mean disaster." said Alkhemee as she revealed the threat, which made them all take things seriously.

"So we have to stop this before things blow up. So do you have any more information about the sale other then it's in Undertown? Like what items are for sale? Who's selling them? Who's buying them? When and where in Undertown is it going down?" asked Kevin, his mind using his own criminal experiences to seek out more important details.

The Doctor spoke..."I have a name of the customer... strangely it's a human."

Later...

Ben, Rook, Kevin and Gwen were staking out the warehouse where the deal was going on. The shipment had made it, but the intergalactic police officers wanted to catch everyone in the act. The number and sizes of the crates did make them nervous. Over electronic earbuds, they communicated with each other.

"Who knew Charmcaster had interplanetary mystical contacts? But why would she want some alien hocus pocus?" asked Kevin, in his hiding spot, as close to hard metal and stone where he could power up.

"Well, technically both the Alpha Rune and Ascalon could be consider alien magic. Or alien tech which looks like magic. We know how powerful they are. So looking for an alien magical upgrade isn't too stupid. The problems is what's in the crates, right Gwen?" answered Ben, pointing out the issue.

"The items and spellbooks are random, chaotic. Some are religious, some arcane. Some for love, some for war... fertility, agriculture, animal husbandry, elemental, weather, and so on. Some are charms and beneficial and some are dangerous curses. Each one capable of blowing up in our faces if mishandled... here she comes." Gwen finished up as Charmcaster teleported in, with her new look which resembled her original look when she and the Tennysons first met.

"Welcome. You have the payment?" asked the small alien who was a member of the same race as Ben's alien Jury Rigg.

"Yes, but I want a look at the merchandise first. Make sure I am paying for real mystical artifacts and spellbooks." Charmcaster chanted a spell to open the boxes and levitated the objects inside. She looked them over and then snapped her fingers as Taydenite appeared in the alien's hands.

Ben and his friends moved out from the boxes and cried, "Freeze, Plumbers. You're under arrest."

Charmcaster matched them as they moved into combat mode, "The Cousins Tennyson and their pets. Guess I should have expected you, but i thought I could do some shopping without you hassling me. Still, I guess it's time for me to teach you a lesson you will not forget. Plus test out all some of this alien magics." Charmcaster moved to one of the artifacts.

"Don't let her use near that stuff. If it backfires, we're all in trouble." said Gwen as she shot out mana to stop the sorceress. Kevin ironed up and Rook took aim with his proto-tool. Ben began to look for the alien which he could use against her. Settling on Swampfire, he prepared to use his Pyro and Chlorokinetic powers against her.

Charmcaster tried to pick up an amulet but Gwen blocked it. She moved, firing energy blasts of magic, as she tried for a small alien statue. Rook shot out to block it. Kevin moved to get towards her, but Charmcaster moved to her bag and pulled out a number of her rock monsters to protect her as she headed for more artifacts.

Monsters, Spellcasters and Pumbers were battling, playing keep away with the alien merchandise. However, the problem as Ben saw it, unless they could take the silver head woman down soon she would eventually get one of them.

Which proved true when she finally got her hands on a blood red sword with strange fanged monsters and other fierce beasts. Ben figured it was to a war god or something, as he grabbed on to it while Charmcaster held it, figuring it couldn't be used against his friends if he held it. Rook changed Ben's mind with a comment, "She has the Love Sword of Tyra'nii, Tetramand Goddess of Love and Fertility."

The Plumbers stopped for a minute as it sunk in, Gwen asked, "A love goddess has a large sword? Why?"

"Remember the Tetramands and Looma... Love is a Battlefield." said Kevin, as they realized Charmcaster was chanting to use the sword against them as it glowed brilliant crimson. A red aura surrounded both Ben and Charmcaster, before from it exploded two giant Tetramands made of energy. One male made of green energy and one female of magenta energy. Once fully formed, the two began to fight each other in physical combat, slugging and grappling with each other.

Rook asked the obvious question, "What is happening? Why are we seeing these energy Tetramands? Why are Charmcaster and Ben not reacting?"

"Love is a Battlefield! Literally in this case. The magic of the sword has summoned Ben's and Charmcaster's mana out as those energy Fourarms. Literally battling for love. Which means no matter what happens, Ben and Charmcaster are going to be to falling in love." said Gwen as she was beginning to understand what was happening from her knowledge of magic, mana and alien cultures. She added, "We just have to hope Ben wins this."

"Why? Does something bad happens if he loses?" asked Kevin as he watched the relatively even battle. No damage was being done, save to the energy alien images.

"Love is a Battlefield and if I'm right, winner takes all. The one who wins, their mana will likely absorb and fuse with the loose, in a dominate position. No matter what, the two of them will change. If Ben wins, Charmcaster will likely become more close to his world view, his ideology. Become more of a hero and better person. But if Charmcaster wins..." continued the Redheaded Tennyson woman as she looked at the two other men for them to continue her thought.

"Ben will become more towards Charmcaster's world view, perhaps becoming her villainious partner. With the Omnitrix... we might have a major problem. Is there anything we can do?" asked Rook as they saw the detailed figures fight, getting more and more extreme.

"Nothing. We can do nothing, but wait." answered Gwen, feeling helpless.
