Have you ever been slapped in the face so hard that you feel disoriented for a moment?

Well that's what I felt like when Jane was claimed as Lulu's half sister and Roman.

Roman.

She wasn't supposed to be in this camp.

I couldn't believe it at all.

My thoughts were interrupted when a boy pushed past me. He had cropped blonde hair, and I got a glimpse of electric blue eyes. He seemed strong, and he was at least 6'0 tall. He pushed through the crowd, which was gradually expanding. He made his way up to the front, and said a name that everyone looked disturbed at:

"Neptune."

The crowd stayed completely silent.

I suddenly realized just how shocked and a little frightened Jane looked, so I branched off from Lulu (who's face would've been humorous if it wasn't for the events that took place) and pushed past the crowd, as the boy had. Well, it didn't go as quickly considering I was 5'4 and MAYBE weighed 120 pounds. I bumped into countless people, nearly tripped over a few. Hardly anyone really cared, but a few seemed rather annoyed.

Finally, I succeeded.

I almost would've done a happy dance, but I kinda figured that wouldn't be...civilized. So, I just decided to look for Jane.

"Jane!"

I felt someone grab my shoulder, scaring me half to death. I turned to see who and saw familiar pale green eyes.

"Jane."

She looked out at the crowd. "I'm Roman..."

I nodded. "Come on, okay? We need to get back to Lulu, Blake, and-"

Jane pulled away from me. "No. I can't go back to Lulu. I treated her.."

Eventually, Percy must've recovered slightly from his shock because he made his way to Jane and I.

"Neptune? Neptune, as believed by the Romans, is a bad omen."

Jane paled. "What?"

Percy nodded. "There hasn't been a child of Neptune in a very long time."

"How long?"

"Well, his last known descendent-that I know of- was in 1906."

I had to admit, that was surprising. But the part that concerned me was the semi-prophecy that Rachel gave mentioned a daughter of the seas dying, and since Jane was a daughter of Neptune, a bad omen..

No. It won't happen Sydney.

Chiron came forth as Percy had. He turned to the campers, saying, "All but Blake, Lulu, Jason, and Annabeth are dismissed."

The crowd scattered, but don't get me wrong, there was multiple whispers exchanged. Some people looked at Lulu, others at Jane, and some at me. They went back to their previous activities, each still glancing at us. Chiron turned back to us, now. Percy shifted uncomfortably, and looked rather anxious until Annabeth took his hand in hers again. Blake hurried up, Lulu behind him.

Chiron looked over at Jane. "We now have a pr...foretelling of the future. You now know your godly parent, Jane. You can now go on your quest."

Everyone, especially Lulu and Jane looked uncomfortable. Chiron continued. "But, young one, you will need companions."

Jane cocked her head slightly. "How many may I take?"

"I believe that is ultimately up to you. Each companion you bring, though, will be another risk to yourself and team."

I frowned slightly, but kept my mouth closed (despite the urges I was getting). Jane nodded, and I was pretty sure she was already aware of the risks.

"I would like Lulu, Blake, and Sydney."

Percy frowned. "But-"

Chiron looked at him. "Percy, you would be more of a risk."

Percy stayed silent, probably keeping an argument to himself. Annabeth whispered something to him, and he seemed to calm down slightly.

I glanced over at Jane, who looked nervous. I mean, I couldn't blame her, but I knew Jane wasn't one to show she was nervous. At all. This quest was nerve-wracking, even for me, so I didn't blame her. If Lulu, Blake, or I died or got hurt, it would be Jane's fault, at least, that's how Jane would see it.

I've known long enough to know that's true.

Lulu eventually spoke up, to Jane. "Why..?"

"Would I want you?" Jane raised an eyebrow. "You seem like a skilled fighter. I know we didn't meet on the best terms-" (Jane's face went slightly red) "-but I still think you would be a good choice for a companion. Sydney seems to be fond of you and Blake, so part of my judgement was based off that."

Lulu avoided Jane's gaze.

Chiron was about to speak, when Mr. D came outside, beckoning Chiron in.

He turned to Mr. D, and waved, signaling he would be coming, then back to us. "I have to go now, as you can see. You can embark on your journey in a few days. In the meantime, I suggest you should train and learn basic and strategic combat. As much as you can."

He left with a warm smile.

We stood there in silence. Me, Percy, Annabeth, Blake, Lulu, and Jane. I wasn't sure at all what to say, and I'm sure the others were just as clueless.

Percy was the one to break the silence as he looked at Jane and asked, "Do you want to see your cabin and the camp?"

Jane nodded in response. "Yes."

Percy beckoned her to follow him and Annabeth. Before they got far, Lulu whispered to me "I'm going with them, see you later" then followed the group, leaving now only Blake and I.

"Well."

I looked at him. "Well what?"

"Well I wasn't expecting all of this."

"No one was."

I gave a weak smile, and we headed off to train again. We'd need it.

I feel like this chapter is rushed even though it's not.

T^T I am so sorry for not updating and not getting a long chapter written. FORGIVE ME PLEEEEEEEEEEEASE!

Anyways, for those whom review, I have a question: What theme song would you assign each of these people: Jane, Sydney, Blake, Lulu, and one of your OC's. (Feel free to go into detail why)

I'm just curious. Until next time, I suppose. -TheSeaGirl1234 who hates writing disclaimers and blames that for her reason of not updating.
