Author's Note: Now that I look at it, this seems kinda disorganized. Oh well! They're heading to the future again! Yay!

Disclaimer: I do not own Katekyo Hitman Reborn

Idiot! I catch Dokuro before she hits the ground. Somehow, we managed to get outside quickly enough, but then Dokuro jumped up and slashed at the explosives. "Idiot, don't take explosives out like that," I grumble.

"Chrome! Saito!" the Storm Guardian exclaims.

"Tch, we're fine," I reply. I watch as it is determined that this is no longer a trial. The opponent seems to be the Arcobaleno with the green pacifier. He sends out four box weapons and two weapons that are targeting Lambo and Hibari. I grit my teeth.

Dokuro turns to me. "If you're worried, you should go."

"Hmph, don't order me around. Besides if I leave, you can't count on anyone being able to react quickly enough to help you," I reply. To prove my point, I cut an explosive headed our way. Either way, I go over to the three Arcobaleno and Sawada. There's an illusion somewhere… It feels familiar somehow…

"The Guardians of Cloud and Lightning. Lambo went home!" Sawada exclaims.

The Arcobaleno says, "Mammon, I know you're there." The Arcobaleno that went against Dokuro in the battle for the Rings appears.

"Good grief. I was planning on being a spectator," Mammon replies.

"Deal with the rockets that were headed towards town," the Arcobaleno commands. "Kasumi, I know you're worried about them too. Go."

I reply coldly. "Don't order me around, Arcobaleno. I simply came to let Sawada know before heading off."

"It's not my policy to work for free," Mammon says to the Arcobaleno.

The Arcobaleno replies, "Just go. Take Kasumi with you."

"Okay, okay…" Mammon replies. I disappear along with Mammon.

Next thing I know, I'm on the ground as Mammon floats upwards to go get the rocket. Obviously, I can't stay in the air long enough. Suddenly, Mammon starts to move oddly and falls towards the ground. I sigh before I jump up and catch Mammon.

"What happened?" I ask.

"I can't move my body…" Mammon replies.

"Eh?" Could it be the non-Tri-ni-set Policy? I look at the rockets, which are soon out of sight. I hope Hibari and Lambo will be okay… I decide that Hibari should be able to handle the rocket himself easily, so I should head to Sawada's house. I put Mammon into the hood of my hoodie. "You can stay there until you can move again. Don't fall out because I won't turn back to get you." I start to sprint to Sawada's house.

When I get to Sawada's house, it seems that the rocket was already taken care of by the Arcobaleno with the red pacifier. Lambo is caught in a net though. I let out a quiet sigh as I run over and cut Lambo out. "Are you alright?" I ask.

"No! I'm mad!" he exclaims, "I'm gonna find the guy who made this! He's gonna pay for m ball!"

"You should wait here," says the Arcobaleno with the red pacifier.

"No way! I said I'm going, so I'm going and going!" Lambo exclaims angrily

"I-Pin too!" I-Pin declares. The red Arcobaleno looks a bit concerned

I grin a little. "Lambo? I-Pin? Do you want to see something nice?" I ask. They turn to me and nod. I make an illusion of a large pillar of fire burst out from the ground underneath the rocket. As they get distracted by it, I turn to the red Arcobaleno. "Thank you for getting the rocket," I say.

"It's no problem. You were worried about them, weren't you?" he replies.

I cross my arms and look away. "N-Not at all. I only came because I owe these two." I frown. It sounds like such a lame excuse. Then again, it is one...

"Can't we go yet?" Mammon asks. Mammon glances at my illusion. "…that's not a bad illusion. Most people wouldn't be able to see through it."

I use the first path to show Mammon the connection. "Of course." I let go of the illusion. I nod. "Well, let's go."

I watch because there's nothing I can do for now. Apparently, the green Arcobaleno had planned to get all the Arcobaleno to gather in one place so that he could capture them and prevent them from interfering with his experiments. He also wants all the Vongola Rings for his experiments. Hm, what an interesting guy. He made it so that they would all gather at the same place. He timed it very nicely too… I cringe. The illusion I'm holding up is taking a little too much power.

"No, I'll save Reborn and all of my friends," Sawada decides.

"Let's do it, boss," the Storm Guardian replies.

"Let's go, Tsuna."

"Save Master and the others!"

"Me too."

The fighting starts again and I take out my box weapon. I won't lose out on this fight. I sigh as Dokuro falls down and a starfish starts to fly towards her. I jump over, but Hibari beats me to it.

"The Cloud person…" Dokuro says.

"Hibari? You came to help?" the Rain Guardain asks.

"Help? What are you talking about? I came to eliminate the person disturbing Namimori," Hibari replies. He looks in my direction, but he seems to be looking behind me. "Sato," he warns.

I turn around to see a starfish flying towards me. I slash at it before Hibari can get to it. He looked as though he was about to hit it for me. I smile a little and nod. "Thank you." I hear the green Arcobaleno say something about Deathperation flames and I cut mine immediately. My scythe goes back into its box and I use my scythe made of illusions. I was right to do so, since Hibari, Sawada, and the Storm and Rain Guardian's flames get taken away shortly after I switch my weapons out. They all crouch on the ground. "H-Hibari-san!" I exclaim, "Sawada-san!"

"Hahaha. Magnificent. The perfect word to use. This is the power I sought," the green Arcobaleno says over the speakers. More box weapons appear, but now they're using the flames that were taken. It seems that Hibari and the others are having trouble lighting their flames. Hibari starts to attack the weapon with the Cloud flames, but it doesn't seem to be as effective. Hibari crouches again. He seems exhausted.

"Cloud person! Kasumi! Look out!" Dokuro exclaims. Hibari pushes me down before we both get hit.

"T-Thank you..." I reply as we get back up. My breaths are starting to get heavy and I wonder how much longer I can hold up the illusions.

"You are all helpless now. If you wish to save them hand over the Vongola Rings," the green Arcobaleno commands. I pull out my box again and switch out my scythes. I coat the blade in soft flames and start to attack the box weapon. It's not working very well because the flames that were stolen from Sawada and the others are so pure. I grit my teeth and use the fourth path as I continue to attack.

"S-Sato-san!" Sawada exclaims. I block the claw that comes flying towards me with the handle of my scythe before I slash at it.

Suddenly, there's an explosion. I look over to Sawada, who was able to light his flames again. Now, they all seem to have enough resolve to fight again. "How long do you intend to aggravate me?" Hibari asks the weapon. His tonfas get covered in flames again. "Sato."

I nod. "Right." I move out of the way. It hurts… I glance at the Arcobaleno in the sky. How much longer…? I wince. Suddenly, the rockets that the Arcobaleno are attached to start to blow up. I let go of the illusions as the rockets start to blow up one by one and get covered in smoke. It feels as though tons and tons of pressure just got lifted off my shoulders suddenly.

"Now, hand over the Vongola Rings. Or, would you rather disappear from the world like the others?" the green Arcobaleno commands.

"What?" Sawada asks.

"I bet they're grateful. I ended their meaningless lives."

"What did you say?"

"Now, what does this world have that holds a greater meaning? Science! Technology! Is there anything that can excite your heart more than those? And that's exactly what the future is! They served no purpose but to deny me my goal. So, I denied them their lives."

"Verde… I won't forgive you for this…" Sawada says.

"Neither will we," the Arcobaleno says.

"What?! That voice…"

The Arcobaleno re-appear and I let out a sigh. I fall to the ground on my knees involuntarily. Shoot… "Is this Viper's doing?" the green Arcobaleno asks.

"I created that illusion the second I saw that glittering powder," Mammon replies. Mammon looks in my direction. "Though I owe it to that girl too." I try to regain my breath as the others turn to look at me. Ugh, my head…

"Sato-san…" Sawada says.

"Kasumi did well, but we couldn't move until Tsuna destroyed that device," the Arcobaleno says.

Sawada goes over to them. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah, it seemed to be weaker than the real non-Tri-ni-set Policy," the Arcobaleno replies.

"You've done it now, kora!" the blue Arcobaleno says angrily.

"It's payback time!" Lal Mirch says.

The Arcobaleno's lackey declares, "We won't let you get away with this!"

"Let's go," says the red Arcobaleno.

"In that case, I'll be sure to destroy you all this time," the green Arcobaleno declares.

The Arcobaleno says, "Let's go!"

"Yeah!" All the Arcobaleno start to attack. They're all really strong… I watch in awe as I pull myself up.

The red Arcobaleno comes over to help Hibari out, but he goes to me first. "You worked hard. You should just sit back and take a break." Normally, I'd reply against it, but I accept it this time and just watch. I nod. He smiles and heads over to help Hibari, who doesn't want the help.

"Let's end this," Sawada says.

"It's futile to drag this out any longer," the Arcobaleno says.

The green Arcobaleno laughs. "Futile?" He comes out. "What you're doing is futile. Why don't you understand the importance of my research? I can't live a meaningless live, ignoring my own desires. Electric Tunder!" I cry out as we all get hit by the lighting and I fall on my knees again.

"What? What?! What is this?!" Lambo exclaims as he runs around. He seems to be okay though.

The green Arcobaleno says, "A trump card must be saved for the end."

"Stupid cow, what are you doing?" the Storm Guardian asks.

"Why can he move?" asks Lal Mirch.

"He's the Lighting Guarian," the Arcobaleno explains, "He specializes in electrical shocks."

Lambo exclaims, "Lambo-san's mad now!" He starts to throw grenades in a frenzy. The lighting stops and Sawada goes to hit the green Arcobaleno with his X Burner. However, as it turns out, it was a robot. I cringe again. It hurts all over.

As Sawada, all the Arcobaleno, and the Storm, Rain, and Sun Guardians go to the island to find the green Arcobaleno, I stay behind with Hibari and Dokuro. I sit down on the floor and start to examine my injuries. I have minor cuts all over and everything aches from being hit by the lighting for so long. On top of the injuries, I have a headache.

When they all get back, I watch as Sawada gets the last seal. I get up when Hibari starts to leave and I walk over to him. "Hibari-san, is it okay if I head back with you?" I ask. He nods. I smile.

"S-Sato-san!" Sawada calls out. I stop walking and turn around. "Thanks for working so hard. Holding up the illusions and fighting for so long must have been tough on you."

"It's fine. We're friends, aren't we?" I reply. Though I reply as though it was nothing, my head is still spinning. I turn back around and continue to walk back to Namimori with Hibari. I raise my hand and wave without turning around. "Hibari-san?" I ask as quietly.

"Hm?"

"If I collapse, you won't just leave me, will you?" I ask a bit absentmindedly.

"No."

I smile a bit. "That's reassuring…because there's a high change of that happening. I'm sorry if it does."

As I walk through the shopping district, I see Belphagor and Mammon. I walk over to them. "I had fun observing. I hope we can mess around some more in the future," I say with a grin.

"Hm. You're not too bad," Mammon replies.

"Shishishi. The Prince will look forward to it too," Belphagor replies. I had fun, trying to dispel and change Mammon's illusions during class.

I nod. "See you around."

When I get back, I call out, "Ken, Chikusa! I'm back!" Ken and Chikusa come over.

"Kasumi! Where did you go?!" Ken exclaims.

"Namimori Island. I had to participate in something there. I have a headache now," I reply. "I'll be cooking if you need me." I walk off quickly, unable to force myself to explain that I'll be going tomorrow. I start to cook immediately.

"You're making a large amount of food there, Kasumi," Mukuro says. "Oh? You seem to be very tired too. It has something to do with the Vongola and the Arcobaleno, doesn't it?

Yes, it does…

"Hm…" He seems to be thinking about something. "All that matters is that you're safe and unharmed. You did well, protecting Chrome for the past week."

Thank you, Mukuro-sama…

"I assume that you'll be leaving again soon. Be careful." I smile as I continue to cook.
