Author's Note: Alright! The Choice battle is coming up next! Somehow, I can't wait until the first time they meet Daemon Spade… I still have to figure out what to do when TYL Mukuro and Kasumi finally meet!

I grit my teeth as the pain stings through my body. I give up. I sigh as I lean on my scythe. I don't know how much time is left until the Choice battle. This is bad. I glare at the wall. I take in the deep breath and start to practice my illusions. "Illusions are strongest when they're the things you believe in the most" is what I was told a long time ago. The things I believe in the most, huh… I smile a little at the illusions that I created. They haven't changed since I was a kid. There are just additions now.

I walk to the kitchen to find Miura crying. It wasn't exactly expected, but I can guess that Sawada just told her. "It's tough learning this just now, huh?" I ask quietly as I get a glass of water for myself. "Cry and let it all out now, but don't let this change you. That's the reason that they were all afraid to tell you. They don't want you to be different after knowing," I explain.

Bianchi nods in agreement and pats Miura's back. "Yeah…" I look at the two sitting on the floor as Miura cries her heart out and Bianchi tries to comfort her. I turn away and leave quietly. I'm no good with this kind of thing.

I walk to the command room by myself. I was supposed to report in about the progress of my training. I walk in and I see wide eyes. "Hm?" I ask as they all look at me a bit awe struck. I look at my arms. "Oh, my jacket…" I pull my grey cropped jacket back on. "Is it that surprising that I have injuries too?" I ask.

"K-Kind of…" Sawada replies hesitantly.

I sigh and cross my arms. "You all need to get over it. I've been training just as hard as you all have and doing housework at the same time," I reply. "I absolutely have no idea how you see me, but I've been fighting for real since before all of you started. The bottom line is- don't look down on me or think that I'm weaker because I'm a girl."

The room falls silent. Sawada nods. "You're right. I'm sorry…"

I shake my head. "No, I just felt that someone had to say it. The others wouldn't so, I said it for them," I reply. "Anyhow, I think I've made some progress with my training. There's only touch-ups left."

"Ran!" something says.

"What was that sound from?" the Bronco asks.

It's coming from the monitor. These white pac-man looking things start to gather in the center of the monitor. "Ran, ran, ran, ran!"

"What's it showing? Some kind of kid's show?" the Sun Guardian asks.

"Obviously not!" the Storm Guardian exclaims. "That's not a T.V.!"

Sawada asks, "Giannini, what is this?"

Giannini is typing frantically. "I don't know! Someone's hijacked the connection!" he exclaims frantically. "It's no good! I can't stop it!"

Suddenly, the pac-man things finish gathering and there's a popping sound. A chibi Byakuran wearing a clown costume appears and exclaims cheerily, "Byakuran!" Sawada gasps.

"So it really is a television show," the Sun Guardian says.

The Storm Guardian exclaims, "Are you an idiot?! It just said 'Byakuran'!"

Someone chuckles and we all turn to the monitor again. The image shatters and the real Byakuran appears. He looks happy. I notice the large sundae sitting in front of him. "Well? What it amusing?" he asks with a smile.

"Byakuran…" Sawada says.

The air in the room is tense. Sawada and the others are frowning and they don't seem to know what to do, but I don't want to get dragged into the tense feeling. "Quite," I reply calmly.

"Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it, Kasu-chan. The others over there look so scared," Byakuran replies as he continues to smile. I raise my right eyebrow. Who are you calling "Kasu-chan?!" "I was bored, so I came to play." He holds up a spoon. "Want some?" he asks happily.

"Bastard… You playing with us?!" the Storm Guardian asks.

"Just kidding!" Byakuran replies happily. He eats the spoonful happily. "I'm actually making a courtesy call about Choice."

Sawada asks, "Huh? Courtesy call?"

"I said that I'd give you the details later, right? Be at Namimori Shrine in six days," Byakuran says.

"In six days…" the Rain Guardian repeats.

"Namimori Shrine…" the Storm Guardian says.

Sawada exclaims, "We're fighting in Namimori?!"

"Hmm, I wonder," Byakuran replies. This guy is hard to read… He finally opens his eyes. "For now, make the necessary preparations and bring everybody with you." His eyes narrow a little. "You at least need to bring all of your friends who came from the past." I frown.

"What?!" the Storm Guardian exclaims.

The Rain Guardian seems concerned too. "All of them?!"

"Even Kyoko-chan and Haru?" Sawada asks.

"What do you mean?!" the Sun Guardian yells.

Byakuran's smile turns into a frown quickly. "It's more meaningful this way. You'll be disqualified if anyone's missing."

Sawada gasps and the Storm Guardian exclaims angrily, "Wait a second!"

Byakuran's smile quickly comes again. "Well, good luck with training then!" he says happily. Then the connection gets cut.

"Ah!" the Rain Guardian exclaims.

The Storm Guardian raises his fist. "Hey!"

"N-No way…" Sawada starts. His eyes are wide with terror. "Bring Kyoko-chan and Haru into the middle of a battle?"

"I won't allow that to happen!" the Sun Guardian declares.

"It doesn't matter if you allow it to happen or not! If we don't go, we'll be disqualified even before we fight," the Storm Guardian replies. Obviously, he doesn't like the idea of doing this either.

"That was pretty unilateral," the Rain Guardian comments seriously.

I nod in agreement. "He didn't give you a chance to even fight back."

"No good! No good!" the Sun Guardian exclaims.

"What do we do, Reborn?" the Bronco asks.

"We'll have to do as Byakuran says," he replies. I nod. There's no more debate left to be doing.

"I'm heading off then. I need to make dinner soon," I say. "Bronco, is curry alright?" I ask.

"Yeah, thanks," he replies with a nod.

I nod. "Then I'll be on my way now." It's easiest to forget myself while doing regular tasks that require my attention. I won't let myself get sucked into the tension that's just waiting to explode. They're all going to snap soon, so I'd like to keep my distance until they cool down.

I smile to myself as I cook the curry. I test taste it to make sure that it isn't too spicy, but then, I remember that Mukuro isn't around so I don't have to be as careful. I find myself smiling a little more. Mukuro hates spicy food so my curry is always a bit more on the sweet side. I pour the curry neatly over half of each plate of rice and bring it outside. "Sorry for the wait," I say as I put the plates down on the table.

Hibari takes a bite of the curry. "It's sweet…"

"Yeah, it's become a habit…" I reply.
