The life of a researcher starts simple.

Wake up.

Eat.

Research.

Eat.

Research.

(Sneak in a snack).

Sleep.

(And it ends simply).

And that was exactly the plan Ed had in mind for Sunday. It was mind boggling. He had asked around some people- Fred and George- to try and find out the reason behind the Attacking Bludger. Apparently, they aren't suppose to follow around a specific person. They attack everyone on a semi-equivalent level so there was certainly some black magic involved as to why that bludger was only following and attacking Harry- even when it was hit in a different direction.

But.

There was one problem.

People seem to believe that it was the Slytherin team that had caused the bludger to act that way. However, Ed had interrogated them last night. They knew nothing.

"So. . .anyone want to explain what just happened?" Ed stood sternly with his arms crossed.

Derrick Peregrine - the team's Beater- stubbornly also crossed his arms. "Why must we tell you? Who are you anyways?"

"Incendio," Ed casually lit a fire from the tip of his sti-wand. He kept it on top of his wand. He didn't actually mean to hurt anyone- yet. "The name is Edward Elric. Now tell me, do you have anything to do with this?"

Peregrine leaned back cautiously, "No, I don't know anything about it. Can swear on it."

"How about anyone else?" Ed turned back to the other Slytherin Quidditch members. He could tell that they were irritated at him and out of spite, he increased the strength of the fire so that it was slightly bigger than a grown-up's fist.

He got a much better reaction.

"But its so hard to find real information!" Ed groaned into his palms quietly. He was in the library since morning and had yet to find anything substantial yet. The librarian wouldn't cut him slack so he needed a teacher's note to go deeper into the restricted section. Damn.

Looking up from his current book on magical creatures, he saw one of Fred and George's sibling talking with Harry. Seeing their brother walk away from Harry, Ed dropped his book and went up to talk with Harry.

"Yo, how are you feeling Harry?"

"Uh, fine I guess? I mean, my arm still feels weird," to emphasize what he meant, Harry lifted his hand gingerly to show Ed the stiffness.

"Whoa, the bones actually grew back!" Ed went to grab onto Harry's right arm and started to gently bend it to and fro. He quickly let go when it looked like Harry was uncomfortable. "Still sore right?"

"Yea, sorta."

"Well, at least it grew back. I mean, your right arm is pretty important since you are right handed," Ed responded.

Harry noticed that Ed was trying to sound casual about it but Harry could also tell it was forced.

"I have to go somewhere now, good luck with, uh, whatever you are working on," Harry waved and tried to walk casually off somewhere.

'Wizards have it really easy. . .' Ed shook his head and retreated back to his research before the librarian yelled at him again for his mess.

"Did you hear? Colin was attacked!"

"What? No way!"

"Do you think-?"

"No! It can't be!"

"You can't say it's impossible though!"

"We can't travel alone anymore!"

Al nervously grabbed his bag of stuff and tried to sneak past to the Great Hall. Many of the other first years were afraid of what had happened to Colin. But Al really, really, didn't want to have to move in a group. From what he had heard from other people's whispering, they believe that the one who did it was Harry. Then again, he heard a lot of accusations.

"Oh! Sorry," Al apologized for having bumped into another Gryffindor girl. Looking closely, it was Ginny. She looked miserable and Al could see her eyes were red.

"No, it's my fault for not looking where I was going. . ." Ginny turned and apologized as well.

"Uh, do you want to walk to the Great Hall together? The others are saying it's dangerous to walk alone now."

Ginny looked even more distraught but agreed nevertheless.

Once they arrived at the Great Hall, Ginny's older twin brothers tried to "cheer her up" by frightening her some more it seemed.

"Can you guys stop it?" Al turned to ask one of the twin older brothers. "Ginny looks uncomfortable now."

"Hey but Al, what do you think?" Brother One asked turning to Al.

"You surprisingly look ok about your classmate disappearing," Brother Two joked.

"Can you not say something so disturbing?" Al asked- upset with Two's statement.

Ginny got up from her seat and pulled her bag with her- her face was bright red- and stomped off to her next class.

"Uh oh, well, hope she feels better soon," One sheepishly commented. After saying that, both brothers rushed off to the end of the Gryffindor table to talk to their friends. Hermione shook her head.

"Can't they see that they are scaring her even more? Oh Al, do you guys have the same class next?" Hermione inquired.

"Um, I think we do. Should I follow her?"

"Please do, it's better to be safe than sorry right?"

After Al left the table, Ron jerked Hermione's sleeve, "What was that for?"

"Well, I wanted a quiet space where we could talk about. . . the plan," Hermione lowered her voice dramatically to ensure privacy.

"You think its good?" Harry skeptically asked.

"We need some more time but I wanted to remind you guys about the part where you- you know- have to put in a little of something that belongs to the person you want to become." Ron wrinkled his nose at Hermione's reminder. "Stop it Ron. You know you have to. Plus there is safety in numbers."

"Hey, what do you know about the Chamber of Secrets?" Ed casually asked as he flipped through the pages of his notebook that he had filled the weekend before.

"Oh, not too much more than what like everyone else knows. It can only be opened by the heir of Slytherin," Draco responded after a moment of thought.

"What will make a family one that can have the Slytherin heir?"

"Well, it would have to be like mine I suppose. Where all family members have came from Slytherin. Of course it's not me though!" Draco hastily added in.

"I'm curious now, are you proud of Slytherin because the rest of your family came from there too?"

"Certainly! Mother, Father and my ancestors and relatives all have come from the Slytherin house."

"Do you hold hatred for those who aren't in Slytherin?" Ed questioned- he had a thought in mind of what Draco would say but wanted to hear for himself.

"Well. . .I know you say that the other houses aren't in any way inferior to Slytherins but. . ."

"Aw, come on. I am not asking you for the sake of hearing my own words again. Tell me. What do you honestly feel about it?"

"My honest opinion is that. . .Slytherins are still better. Because the house has pure wizards and witches. The other houses take anyone in- even mudbloods."

"Still, are those your words?"
