Monsters and Magic

By: DJ Rodriguez

(Author's Notes: Hi everyone! I got two reviews this time! For me, that shows I'm improving. In any case, just glad to get some reviews for my chapter. I know I will not be able to complete this story in time for when the new Godzilla moves comes in theaters. But, that does not matter now! What matters is completing this story, going the distance with this fanfic as best I can! I know I aim for quantity like word count and all, but I need to focus on the quality of the story. I will do my best from here on in.

In this chapter, Melody and the others go with a risky move that hopefully will bring their ultimate goal of bringing the monsters and humans together on a peaceful level. Also, King Triton's search for the 'creatures' that his subjects reported on will lead him to them. And you are going to see what happens when nuclear energy meets divine magic energy!

And also, Melody and Dianne find their own suitable suitors. Like Tracy and Mainard, Kathrin and Edgard will be together, so will Melody and Dianne find companions of their own. HOW they will meet… heh, that I'm not telling. I will let the chapter show you yourself! And finally you will see Maleficent cast off on her new vessel towards the location of Aurora and the others. So in the words of Scar from The Lion King… BE PREPARED!

I do not own Godzilla, any of the Toho monsters, or any of the Disney characters. I do own the OC's, and the songs I write in this story. Now, on with the fanfic!)

Chapter 9

The sun was rising on a new day, the sky being painted in colors of purple, blue, yellow and red as the heavenly orb was rising from its slumber. However, while many were still asleep in their warm beds, some occupants were already awake and active. And these occupants at the moment were in the home of Ariel and Eric Marcel. But these were not servants that were busying about the large abode. The party that was awake and currently going downstairs to the kitchen area was Melody, Kathrin, Dianne, Tracy, Mainard, and Edgard! The six were awake, clothed in gray cloaks that Melody had taken from one of the spare clothing closets nearby. These cloaks were meant to keep the rain off the wearer, as well as allow someone to look a little bit sneaky and suspicious. Like a thief, if one wanted to look the role. The royal children quietly made their way downstairs, taking great care not to make a loud enough sound to alert anyone to their presence. When they reached the bottom floor, they made their way to the dining area and were waiting near the kitchen door.

Melody remembered what she told them last night shortly after their moonlight beach party:

The kids and their parents were coming back inside from their moonlight beach party, many of the adults saying on how wonderful the night was and also seeing the sea at night. The kids were smiling, showing to all that they too enjoyed the fun outside. They had played ball, tag with their parents, and just enjoyed the cool night air while feeling the salty sea air hitting their faces. It had been an enjoyable night for them all. When they entered the castle, they were all covered in bits of dry and wet sand. The servants, including Carlotta, were not very pleased in seeing the living room get dirty again. She told them, "Alright, everyone upstairs! The children need to get cleaned first, then the adults! Now go on kids, upstairs now! Scoot!". The adults and children were amused by her little outburst, but did as they were told. Melody led everyone upstairs as Carlotta took the rear, going to make sure that each child entered a washroom to clean themselves up.

Fifteen minutes later, all of the children were clean and in their night clothing. Melody saw her friends wait for her, since she was the last one out, and the princess motioned with her head for all of them to follow her. She looked to Carlotta and said, "Thanks for everything, Carlotta. You can tell our parents it's their turn to clean up.". The plump but loveable maid smiled warmly at the children before giving them a short bow and taking her leave to inform the parents downstairs. The royal kids chuckled/giggled when they heard her muttering about hoping the adults did not sit or stain the couch or carpets.

When she was out of sight, Melody led her royal guests/friends to her room. Once all were inside and making sure that no one was around, she closed the door to ensure privacy. She then turned to her friends and stated, "Okay, here's part one of the plan. First, we get up early. We have to wake up early before the servants do. Then, we go to the kitchen and get some things done before the adults wake up.". Mainard inquired on why they would have to wake up that early, because he, Dianne, Tracy and Edgard were NOT early morning risers. Melody answered they needed to do this in order to help their monster friends.

The black-haired beauty continued, "First, one of us needs to change the order of food that Chef Louie is preparing for my party that starts up the day after tomorrow. We need to make sure that there is extra food in store, so we can take that extra bit to Godzilla and the others. The second part of the plan involves us getting some breakfast to the monsters, and that means going to the kitchen and… borrowing some food. But making sure that Louie doesn't see us.". Melody did not like the idea of stealing, especially after she did steal the trident some time ago for Morgana. But, she saw that there was no other way. The kids then saw that Melody was preparing for the real goal, which was bringing the monsters on the good side of humans. And first and foremost was making sure that their friends were well-fed. A hungry looking beast was NOT the right way to introduce it to people.

"Mainard and I can take care of the meat we can get for Godzilla and Anguirus." Tracy stated, she and Mainard looking at one another with confident and determined smiles on their faces. The daughter of Cinderella was also glad that this way, even if it was a bit unusual, she would have some kind of quality time with the son of Belle.

Kathrin spoke up quietly, "Edgard and I can get some fish for Rodan. I believe that leaves Dianne to get some fruit for Mothra.". Like Tracy, Kathrin was happy to spend some time with Edgard. The fraternal twins of Aurora nodded their heads, wearing determined looks on their faces.

Melody spoke, "That will leave me to change the order of food that Louie is going to send out in the afternoon. It won't be easy to copy his handwriting style, but I will do my best.". The six then started to exchange some information, estimating on what they needed to carry to the monsters in the morning and how much extra food there should be so that it can be separated and stored later for Godzilla and his companions. Now most would have to give these kids their dues, as they had some sharp minds despite their age. While not geniuses, they were certainly good at estimating numbers. When that was all said and done, they boys left the room so they could go to their own. Mainard and Edgard looked at the girls and gave them a quick wave before leaving, though Mainard's eyes did linger on Tracy while Edgard's eyes remained on Kathrin for a short time before they left.

Melody sighed, seeing an attraction forming between Tracy and Mainard, Edgard and Kathrin. She thought, 'I hope this little romance goes well, but doesn't get in the way of our little plan for tomorrow.'. The princess then got into her bed, while the girls got into their respective sleeping bags. They wished each other good night before drifting off to sleep.

The flashback ending, Melody shook her head slightly to regain focus. She thought, 'Now's the time to focus on the present! We need to each do our part, and be quick on this.'. She knew that Louie was not one to leave his precious kitchen and its contents alone for too long, so they needed to be swift and precise. So, the kids waited near the kitchen door, out of sight so no adult could see them. After a few moments, Louie came out from the kitchen. He was stretching and yawning, apparently still tired from waking up so early so he could prepare breakfast for his master and lady, plus the royal guests. He was dressed in his usual chef garbs, and lazily went outside to get some fresh air so it could make him ready for the day's activities.

Melody whispered, "Go!". On that word, the children quickly but quietly left their places and entered the kitchen. The place where food was prepared was tidy and well organized, Louie apparently taking great pride in his craft and the place he worked said craft. Melody pointed to a cabinet that housed some of the meat in a special freezer of sort that kept said meat preserved. Mainard and Tracy quickly went to it, opening it up and finding some good quality slices of meat. Melody pointed to a place where Louie kept fish, which were kept in a cold place to keep said fish preserved as well. Kathrin and Edgard went to it to get the fish, and Dianne was directed to a pantry that housed the fruit. As the others took what they could in their arms, Melody searched around to find the list that would show what should be ordered from the village so the chefs could make the food for tomorrow.

The daughter of Ariel looked around quick, almost frantically, for she knew that Louie could be coming back in the kitchen any second now. After a few moments, she found the list! It was a notepad that was on one of the cutting tables, and when she saw it, Melody saw the exact orders of what was going to be bought at the village markets. "Okay, time to change the orders up a little…" she said to herself when she found a pen nearby. Taking up said pen, she started to change the numbers up on the orders of meat, fruits, and fish. She hoped that Louie was not that bright when it came to checking for errors and such. This part of the plan relied on luck, and the princess was hoping Lady Luck was on their side. After making the necessary changes, she put the pen down and looked behind her to see that the others had taken what was necessary and waiting on her.

"Okay, that should do it! Let's go!" Melody stated, feeling like a real leader at the moment. The princess looked out from the window hole on the kitchen door, and saw that Louie was still nowhere in sight. From her view, she saw his shadow on the outside window, indicating that the portly chef was still outside. Opening the door quietly, she held it so the others could get out first. Mainard, Tracy, Edgard, Kathrin, and Dianne exited in that order before Melody followed behind. She made sure to close the door quietly before following, and the kids took the front door outside. Since Louie was outside still near the backdoor, going out that way was not an option. The children were now outside, and they started to make their way towards the sanctuary where their friends were at. However, they failed to notice something looking down at them from the castle.

It was Ariel! Apparently, she felt that something would be taking place in the early hours of the morning. It was the famous, or infamous according to some males, woman's intuition that told her that something would happen. And she listened to this sixth sense of hers, and it appears that her intuition was right. She looked down from a window, she awake while her husband was still asleep in bed. She sighed and said to herself, "I better wake the mothers up so we can follow the kids. Melody… I hope you know what you are doing.'. The former mermaid then left the window to wake up her new companions, hoping that things would go well from this point.

~At the Sanctuary beach~

The monsters were well asleep at the moment, the dawn's light not touching their area yet. Rodan was still folded up like a bat, leaning against the rocky cliff that separated them from the public eye. Mothra was still in the woods, asleep and with the Twin Fairies near her. The mystical ones were in a deep sleep, apparently they had done something last night and it drained them of their energy. They were nestled in a bed they prepared themselves out of soft leaves and such. Anguirus was lying on the beach, looking a little like a spiky rock. Godzilla was still slumbering in the waters, preferring to sleep in the comforting ocean like he always did. The former behemoths were sound asleep, until they heard some leaves rustling in the forest. Mothra was the first to awaken, the giant worm a light sleeper and instantly alert. She turned to the noise, and let out a soft squeak. She was ready for whatever intruder was approaching their position. Rodan woke from his slumber by Mothra's noise, and Anguirus was stirring from his sleep as well. The monsters looked where the noise was coming from, wondering on who was coming.

Their tense muscles showed they would be ready for anything that came! Years of living of fighting with other monsters and humans that tried to destroy them made them to be very alert and tense for whatever tried to come for them. From the forest emerged… Melody! The monsters' tension eased out when they saw it was her, and following the princess were the other children. The little humans smiled as they made their way to their otherworldly friends, each of them carrying what seemed to look, and smell, like food! Each children went to their respective monster companions; Mainard went to Anguirus with his arms holding some large chunks of meat, Rodan hopping towards Dianne and Edgard who each had some large fishes for him, and Kathrin went to Mothra who squeaked out in gladness at seeing her and the fruit. The Twin Fairies were aroused from their slumber, and looked up to see the Kathrin kneeling down near them.

"Good morning, Moll and Lora. How are you?" Kathrin asked politely as she presented some fresh fruit to them and Mothra. The giant worm squeaked as she chomped on some apples and oranges, while the Twin Fairies were given some green grapes. The Twin Fairies returned the morning greeting, saying that they were alright before digging into the fruit. Kathrin was a bit surprised to see the tiny fairies eating feverently into the fruit, and asked if something was wrong.

Moll answered after swallowing a bit of the grapes, "Nothing is wrong. We are just a bit famished. Last night, we performed some magic over this area.". Though the princess knew that the twins were mystical, she was a bit surprised to hear that they did perform some magic. Lora continued for her sister, "We tapped into our own magic, and that of the earth, by putting up a soundproof barrier of sort. Even though it is in a limited area, about half a mile wide in radius, we made sure that no one can hear what we do here in this little part of sanctuary. The act drained us considerably of our magic and energy, so that is why were a bit more… energetic in eating our food here.". Kathrin saw that it did make sense, that magic would require some energy to spend, though she can only guess since she herself did not use magic. And with how small the fairies were, they must have used a considerable amount.

Mainard was petting Anguirus as he fed him his breakfast, apparently seven huge slabs of fine meat were enough for the spiked-shelled monster. He said, "There you go, Anguirus! That's all I can get for now, so you're going to have to hold until dinner time.". The beast roared softly and nudged the young prince, showing that he indeed was satisfied for the food. Mainard was glad that his companion was satisfied, for he did not know how much his friend could eat and was glad that seven large and long slabs of prime meat was his limit. The things were a bit heavy to carry, even though the trip was a little short.

Rodan was squacking in delight as he was fed by Dianne and Edgard. The fraternal twins were throwing the fresh fish into the air, and the giant pteranodon was catching each one on his beak. Edgard tossed him the last piece, and after gulping down the tasty morsel, Rodan spread his wings. This indicated that he was satisfied and full. Dianne smiled and stated, "It seems you're happy now! And all it took was eight piece of salmon!". Edgard was glad that that Rodan was satisfied, and was hoping that those salmon would hold the flying dinosaur over for a while. The two went towards the monster and hugged a side of his chest, the pteranodon acting on instinct and closing his wings around them, gesturing that he was thankful for the food. To the monsters, it now seemed natural to show the kind humans such gestures.

Melody and Tracy were looking for Godzilla, who was not here. The daughter of Cinderella turned and asked the Twin Fairies, "Do you know where Godzilla is?". On cue, they all heard a bubbling sound coming from the ocean. The two turned around to see a large, bubbling froth in front of them! The sea seemed to churn and foam from the one spot, and to the monsters it signaled the arrival of the King of the Monsters! Godzilla rose up from the bubbling foam spectacularly, the kids in awe at seeing such a display. To them, he looked like a powerful king emerging from the depths, to challenge any and all that dare challenge him in battle! Godzilla walked to the beach, and soon stood before the two small human females. One word escaped Melody and Tracy's lips and it was this, "Incredible…".

Godzilla lowered his head, softly growling at the human children. Tracy and Melody snapped out of their awestruck state, and held out their pieces of meat. Melody held out a large slab of a juicy, prime steak and said, "Here you are, Godzilla! Breakfast is served!". The saurian was amused by this, again this strange feeling taking him over. But instead of dwelling on it, he simply let flow. For once, he was not going to question these new feelings. He leaned down to the princess and sniffed the steak, and his nose reported back to his brain that the large steak was indeed good and juicy. Melody smiled and tossed it to him, the giant saurian catching the meat in his mouth and gulping it down in two bites. His taste buds were getting used to eating meat once again instead of nuclear energy, and Godzilla loved the taste of the meal!

Tracy smiled wide like Melody and tossed hers up. When Godzilla caught it and swallowed it, she stated, "Glad you like the steaks, Godzilla! It's the best we could do, so I hope this holds you over for now!". One by one, the girls tossed their remaining steaks up towards the King of the Monsters. Tracy had gotten seven steaks like Mainard, and she and Melody split the serving as this. She would give Godzilla four steaks while Melody would give three. When the Charming daughter tossed up the last steak, Godzilla swallowed it down and found himself full. There was a little side-effect that none would see for some time. Since Godzilla was very much used to feeding on nuclear energy back in his world, and since there was none whatsoever here, his body decided to compensate by turning the food he ate into nuclear energy. The process would take some after each meal, but it was better than nothing. The saurian's own body had always adapted and changed the healing process to suit its needs, thanks in part of constant fighting with either monsters and/or humans, and also the nuclear and radioactive materials it had been in contact with since birth.

Once he was satisfied, Godzilla crouched down and allowed the girls to hug his neck. Melody and Tracy did so with much affection, glad to see that their companion was full and content. At least for now. "Very good, Godzilla. I hope that meat holds you down for a while. And I hope that our plan works out exactly as we hope.", Melody stated to the big saurian. After some moments hugging the monster, the two princesses let go and Godzilla rose again back to his full height. Kathrin then called for everyone to listen to her, and when she had their full attention, she told them about the magic soundproof barrier that was now above them. The Twin Fairies, who were now situated on Kathrin's shoulder, one on each side, they warned them that though no living person could hear them from this spot in sanctuary outside of the barrier, people and animals could still see them and what they do. They did not have the magic or capabilities for such a feat.

Edgard stated, "That's alright. I'm just glad that you two were able to pull off something like this. I only hope that this barrier lasts until tomorrow.". That was when they heard a sound… a voice they knew very well, especially Melody, when it came from the forest.

The soft voice inquired, "And what happens tomorrow?". The children, the monsters, and the Fairies turned to see that coming from the woods was none other than… Ariel!

Melody exclaimed in surprise, "Mom?! How-?! Wha-?!". Her little talk was cut short when emerging from behind her were the mothers of the other royal children! Following first was Snow White, next was Aurora, followed by Belle and lastly Cinderella. The five queens looked to their children, amusement on their faces at seeing their little one's shocked faces. However, their faces turned to awe when their eyes were cast upward a little more as they saw the monsters. A soft gasp escaped their lips upon seeing such wondrous and bizarre creatures. The monsters, in turn, went to their respective companions. Anguirus stood beside Mainard, Rodan walked forward and stood behind Dianne and Edgard, spreading his wings wide in a threat gesture. Mothra crawled next to Kathrin, while the Twin Fairies remained perched on her shoulders. Godzilla went and stood between Tracy and Melody, a soft growl escaping his mouth. If these humans here were a threat to their new companions, then they would be ready to fight.

Melody's eyes' widen, and she knew that she would have to think of something quick before things would go bad. She turned upward to Godzilla and pleaded, "Hold it, Godzilla! It's okay! They are our mothers! They're good people!". The King of the Monsters looked at Melody in a bit of confusion, and the princess knew that she would have to show them that their mothers meant no harm. The children came to the same conclusion, that they would have to show their companions that their mothers were not a threat, and vice-versa. The daughter of Ariel was the first to go forward, going to her mother and gently taking her hand. Ariel was still in a bit of shock upon seeing the monsters, and more so when she saw her daughter actually talk to the creature like it was a close friend! She was about to say something, when a look from Melody silenced her words.

Melody pleaded softly, "Please, mother. Just trust me on this… please.". She gave her mother a pleading look, and that slowly melted Ariel's heart. The twelve-year old girl then led her mom by the hand gently, taking her to see Godzilla up close. Of course, Ariel was VERY unsure about this little ordeal. Getting closer to Godzilla, she started to feel a little more fearful. One could not blame her in this situation, especially when they were approaching something that looked very strong with fierce teeth and boring eyes. Godzilla leaned down, his snout/face now facing eye-to-eye with Ariel. The former mermaid froze a little, seeing the monster now gazing at her. Melody spoke soft words to the saurian and Ariel, "Godzilla, this is my mother Ariel. You can trust her. She is very wonderful once you get to know her. And mom… Godzilla may look scary. But trust me, there is more to him then meets the eye. Please, don't be afraid.".

The former mermaid looked into Godzilla's eyes again, and she was surprised when she found something in them that she had only seen in her father, King Triton! She thought, 'Those eyes… hard, strong, showing an unbreakable will. Yet also… a vulnerability, a softness that is hidden within the sharp edge. Very much like my father gave to me and my sisters when we did something bad. Or to enemies that threatened us.'. Her head, the rational part of her mind that told her to run away and to tell the others… it was slowly silenced and replaced with something she often followed more when she was younger. It was her heart, the strongest and most vocal part of her very being. Her heart was telling her to trust this beast, as her daughter was trusting to it fully. Slowly, surely Ariel reached up and extended her right hand to Godzilla's snout. The monster did not move its head, but was a bit puzzled by this. Ariel's hand then rested on the King of the Monsters' snout, and she slowly started to caress and move her hand to the right. The queen of the sea and land was amazed at feeling bumpy skin rather then scales.

'This feeling… bumpy and rough, yet warm at the same time.' she thought. Godzilla was thinking along some similar lines when it came to this redheaded human touching him. He felt that her hands though soft and frail-looking were strong, having some strength in them. The two then locked eyes, and the saurian saw that this female adult human was the one that played with his human companion last night. Ariel felt her fears slipping away, her heart telling her that this creature… this Godzilla was one to be trusted. Just like with Melody, a bond of sort started to form between Melody's mother and the King of the Monsters. A small smile started to form on Ariel's face as she took her hand away from Godzilla. The redheaded beauty turned to her daughter and said, "It seems that your friend and I have seen things eye-to-eye, so to speak.". In other words, she trusted Godzilla and the monster appeared to now put some trust in her! To Melody, this was both a relief and a breakthrough! One by one, the other mothers were led by their respective children to meet their monster companions. Cinderella got to experience the same thing Ariel did with Godzilla, the saurian slowly but surely making connections to the adult human queens.

Snow White looked to her daughter as she laid a hand on Mothra's side and asked, "How is this all possible? Eric and the other men told us what the bandits told them, but… this is very amazing!". Kathrin answered that she would let the Twin Fairies explain everything to them. She gently took the fairies down from her shoulders, and set them on a rock that was nearby. The mothers turned their attention from the monsters to the small women, some of them looking surprised to see mystical beings. Snow White and Ariel were a bit stunned to see the small fairies while Belle, Cinderella, and Aurora were more in awe at seeing such exotic beauties. The three had seen their share of magical/mystical beings, but this was the first time seeing women that had such an exotic look to them. They had never seen anything like the fairies in Europe.

Moll introduced herself first, Lora following. Both started out at the same time, "We are the Twin Fairies, going under many alias back in our world. We are the guardians and caretakers of Mothra, who is guardian of the planet Earth. I believe we can tell you how we got here, and more.". The two fairies then started their tale on how they arrived on this world, and it was a sure bet that the mothers were amazed by the information that was given to them. They never would have guessed at their children would bond with creatures from another universe. And it seems that the beasts themselves were unusual back in their own world. When they got to the part of them being shrunk down and landing in the forest two nights ago, that is when things started to click. It fell into place perfectly with what they witnessed that night, and also with the interrogation report that was given to them by the bandits. When the story finished, the royal moms were more then a little stunned on what was revealed to them.

Aurora inquired, "What happened to the four other monsters? And isn't there a way to get you back home?".

Moll answered the first question, "We do not know the fate of the four other monsters that were taken with us.".

Lora answered the second question, "And I fear we do not have the means or the power to take us back to our world. We would need to know first on who summoned us here in the first place, and also find out the means on which they summoned us here. A summoning spell of that great strength requires an enormous amount of magic and energy to do.". The mothers then turned to the children, who were all near their respective monsters.

Ariel sighed as she went to her daughter and stated, "Melody, we have a lot to talk about. Come on, let's talk on the way back home. We need to be there before the others wake up and notice that we are missing.". The black-haired beauty did not want to leave her friend so soon, but Godzilla instinctively knew that this was for the best. He nudged at Melody and Tracy with his snout, saying that it was time for them to go back with their adult humans. The other monsters did the same thing, nudging their small human companions towards their mothers. The Twin Fairies explained their actions, saying that all of them knew that they needed to get back home. They would see them soon again, and until then try to keep as low as possible to avoid detection. The children were a bit unsure, but soon they saw that the sun was rising up to a point where everyone at this hour would wake up.

Melody looked to Godzilla and said, "Okay… we'll go back. But we'll come back later on this afternoon! I promise!". The King of the Monsters just nodded and growled, before turning around to go back to the sea. The others were mindful to either jump or duck to avoid his swinging tail. The humans looked on in fascination as Godzilla walked into the water, and disappeared in a sea of bubbling foam that quickly subsided. The monsters started to do something as well, to get some activity done. Anguirus and Mothra disappeared in the forest, and Rodan flew into the sky to stretch his wings and such. When they were gone, the mothers took the hands of the children and started their trek back to the castle. Along the way, they each talked to their little ones as best they could.

Ariel looked at Melody and asked, "Melody, why didn't you or any of the kids told us about this? Why?".

The little princess answered, "Because if we did, you would either think we were crazy or would have gotten into a panic and sent out soldiers or such to find them, with a good chance of trying to hurt them or worse.". Ariel realized that she did have a point; if the kids had told them the truth, they would have believed that they had indeed gone a bit mad in the head. And after listening to the bandits story, they would have sent troops into the area… and start a panic that would have very much caused some irreversible damage. Shen then asked Melody on what her and the other kids plans were.

Melody sighed, gathering up her courage to tell her mother and the others her plan. She answered, "We want the other monsters to see that we are not like the people in their world, that humans here can accept them and not treat them like they are mindless, savage animals. So, a plan came together. By all of us.".

It was then that Tracy spoke, "First, we needed to change the order of food that was going to be brought in today for Melody's birthday tomorrow. We believed that with the extra food around, we would give it to the monsters. That way, they won't be very hungry.". That made some sense to the adults, but they believed that there was more to it then that.

Mainard spoke now, "Next, later this afternoon, we would take most of the children from the village with us to introduce them to the monsters. That way, we ease our friends in with the adults when they see the kids going to them with no fear at the party.". Now THAT got their attention good! Belle could not believe that her son and the others would even think of introducing little ones to the creatures they just encountered! Yet… she saw that her Mainard was alright, and even she had warmed up a little to Anguirus. Still, there was concern in their eyes and body language when they heard that part of the plan.

Kathrin saw this and said softly but with strength, "We trust our new friends, Mother. Everyone. They have given us no reason not to trust them, especially after they saved us from some people that were like TRUE monsters.". Snow White saw that her daughter had a point, and the other adult women had the same thought. The otherworldly beings had indeed protected and saved their precious treasures from a fate that was probably worse then death, and just now had shown that they trusted their own respective monsters very much. And in turn, the unique beasts had treated the kids with a known tenderness and protectiveness that they knew quite well.

Belle looked to Melody and said, "You do realize that you are taking a big gamble here. How do you know that the adults, or the children, will not react in fear upon seeing them? How do you know that they will accept them rather then panic and try to hurt them?".

The strong-hearted princess answered with confidence, "I just know. I know it's a big gamble, yes. But… I know that this is one gamble I know that is in my favor. I just have faith and hope that our new friends will be accepted by the villagers and the rest of the people here in this land. I can't explain it, and even if I could, I wouldn't want to. I just have faith that everything will work out.". The mothers were a little stunned by this answer, but at the same time… very pleased. They too once relied on faith and trust to see them through to their destinies, and it seems that their children had inherited what they once had. Instead of going in blind, they had worked out details in their plans. But they followed their hearts instead of their heads, trusting in the good to happen instead of the bad possibilities. Ariel had to give her daughter credit in going on such a path.

Before they knew it, they had arrived at the castle and apparently just in time too. Looking out the window was her husband, up and dressed for the day. He opened the window and called out to them, "Ariel! Melody! Everybody! What are you doing out there at this hour?" he inquired. The two women in his life waved back, Ariel answering that they had just come in from a little nature walk. This confused Eric a little bit, and it showed on his face. His wife called back that she and the others would explain once they got inside. Eric nodded his head and then closed the window.

The former mermaid turned to her daughter and stated, "We'll keep this plan, and the monsters, a secret from your fathers. For now, at least. Melody… we really hope you and the kids are know what you are doing.". Melody smiled brightly and thanked her mother by giving her a side-hug. She promised her that everything would be alright, they all would be well. Ariel smiled as she returned the hug, and the mothers received the same treatment from their kids as they promised the same thing. It seemed that Godzilla and his allies had gained some new friends in the process.

When they arrived back in the castle, the women and children were met by their fathers/husbands that were waiting for them in the living room. Each of them had a stern look on their faces, but it was not too severe or anything just like. Eric looked at his wife and daughter and asked, "Where have you all been? And at this early in the morning?".

Melody answered, "Oh, me and my friends woke up early so we could play on the beach a little. We enjoyed the beach during our moonlit picnic last night so much, we wanted to spend a few minutes playing in it. When we went to go in the forest, our mothers came out to see where we were. They became our chaperones as we looked around the forest for a while before coming back here to the castle for breakfast.". Eric was a bit skeptical on this story, as were the other males. However, Ariel and the ladies confirmed Melody's story. The menfolk were not too sure on this, but they had little else to go on. Besides, they saw that all of them were well though a little confused by the cloaks. It was Ariel that saved the kids, saying that the cloaks kept them warm since it was a bit chilly during the early hours. The men were a bit satisfied by the answer, and before any more questioning could be said, Chef Louie appeared from the kitchen and announced that breakfast was ready. The kids smiled wide and went to the dining room, but they were stopped by Carlotta.

The maid stated, "You kids need to go up and wash up! Now go on, upstairs!". In her opinion, it was always best to wash up before the day officially started. That, and though it puzzled her a little, the children smelled of fish and meat. But, she kept that little info to herself. The children went upstairs to wash up while the adults went to the dining room table. For now, it seemed that the mothers held their word in keeping the children's secret just that. Things were looking up! For now, at least.

~In the ocean~

Deep in the beautiful vastness of the sea, Godzilla was swimming about in the clean ocean. The monster was getting quite used to swimming in such pure, clean waters. In his domain back in his universe, the waters were constantly being polluted by man's chemicals, dumping and testing of their inventions. Finding peaceful and clean waters to swim around in was becoming increasingly rare to find. So for now, he took advantage of the situation and just swimmed on lazily in the sea. The fish and marine life in the ocean gave him wide berth, not used to seeing such a creature swimming in their neck of the sea woods. Godzilla paid them no mind as he soon came to stop swimming and start to walk on the ocean, his feet making deep imprints in the sediments on the ocean floor. He started to walk now, almost like a hike if it were on land. However, the saurian sensed something approaching his position. His sixth sense came alive, and it told him that something was coming… something with amazing power! But, he could not tell if it was foe or ally. He growled softly and made his way to the spot where he knew most likely that he and this unknown being would meet.

King Triton was a little frustrated at the moment. He was out here once again in the spot where his subjects had claimed to see the monster they saw yesterday. He was escorted by three royal guard mermen, armed with helmets and spears. He scanned the water area he was in, but he could not find anything. He let out a sigh and asked himself, "Hmmmm… nothing here. Perhaps the fishes were in a bit of a hallucination on what they saw? Maybe…". However, the words he was going to say next died a quick death as the merfolk saw something coming their way from the east. To them, it was huge and had an odd shape to it, like nothing they had ever seen before. The three guards took up their spears while Triton looked on, holding his magical trident close to him. His face was stern and grim, wondering if this was the creature they had been seeking. The shape took a more clear form with each passing second, and soon came into view. Their eyes widened when they saw that coming towards them was the creature they had been searching for! The guards were a bit unnerved at seeing such a sight.

The king of their race held up his hand, signaling them to hold their positions for now. Triton told them, "I am going to see if I can communicate with this… beast. If things are going to go bad, attack to drive it away. Understood?". His loyal soldiers saluted him before taking up their arms. They would follow the king's orders as best they could. Triton turned his face and attention back to Godzilla, who was approaching them slowly but surely. He swam to the monster until they were face-to-face at eye level, the King of the Monsters now staring hard at the King of the Monsters! It was a tense moment for the two, as Godzilla had sensed that the one staring at him was the one that had the power he sensed earlier. Now, it was time for both of them to see if either one was ally or enemy.

Triton cleared his throat and stated, "I am King Triton, ruler of Atlantica! Who are you? State your business on why you are here!". Godzilla growled softly, not truly understanding this… creature before it. The monster had not seen anything like Triton before; a human with the lower half of a fish. To the saurian, this creature was curious to see. Triton, in turn, did not understand Godzilla either. He had learned to communicate with many life forms in the sea, but he did not know what Godzilla growled about. It was natural, seeing as the beast WAS from another universe. The soldiers were getting nervous, seeing such a beast before them working on their nerves. Godzilla let out a roar, trying to tell them that he was not a threat but that he would defend himself. However, one of the soldiers were freaked out by, in his opinion, was an unholy sound and let loose his spear! Triton saw the action, and was horrified when he saw the spear striking into Godzilla's left-side chest and stick to the skin! The saurian saw and felt the attack, and his instincts took over!

In the King of the Monster's eyes, they had attacked and this made his brain click on! For him, those that attacked him were an enemy, so he roared again as he knocked the spear from his side and lunged at the strange half-human, half-fish beings! Triton was amazed at the speed of this large creature, as it stomped past him and towards his soldiers! The one who threw the spear was slapped away by Godzilla's powerful claw swipe. The soldier would be sporting three large slash marks on his chest for the rest of his life. His comrades saw this action, and went automatic attack mode as well. They swam fast and lunged at Godzilla with their spears, but the saurian proved that his reflexes were quicker as he turned and swiped at them with his long tail! The two remaining soldiers were taken by surprise and hit with considerable force, sending them far away where they smashed into a rock and knocked out cold. Godzilla was about to make sure that his enemies would never harm him again, when he felt a strong and very powerful electrical blast coming from behind! The force of the blast caused him to be propelled far and falling into the ground.

Triton was above him, his trident glowing golden as he held it at the ready. The King of Atlantica was not pleased that his soldiers had provoked the attack, but he would reprimand them later. Right now, this beast was strong and he consider it to be a menace to his sea kingdom. He sent a powerful blast to the creature's back, sending it into the ground. He thought that it was over, for very few creatures could even get up from such a powerful magical blast. However, his eyes widened when he saw Godzilla get up from the ground. He whispered, "This creature is more formidable then I realized…". In other words... he had done ticked off the King of the Monsters! Godzilla roared in pain and anger, having felt such an electrical blast like that from foes like the bug hybrid Megalon and the three-headed dragon King Ghidorah. He turned to see the attacker, who turned out to be Triton. He saw his three-pronged spear glowing golden, and felt that the power was not from the creature, but from the weapon it carried! The saurian roared again and swung his tail again at the creature, but Triton dodged the swipe. Even though he was old, he still had plenty of fight and agility left in his body and fins.

He exclaimed, "Take this, foul beast! Begone with you!". He shot another powerful magical discharge from his trident, the golden beam striking true at Godzilla's chest! The monster was sent back a few feet, but he remained standing, taking the full force of the blow and still standing! Triton was amazed to see that his weapon had little effect on this sea creature, and apparently all it did was make the beast more angry. Godzilla's eyes were locked on Triton, and he knew what he had to do in order to defeat this foe. The King of the Monsters leapt at Triton with his body in a flying tackle of sort, but the merman dodged it as well. When Godzilla landed, he knew that he was in the right position. He stood on his legs when he landed, and his spine started to flicker blue light! Triton did not like this at all, and sent another magical blast the beast! It was then that Godzilla turned quickly around and let loose his Radiation Death Breath! The merman ruler of Atlantica was amazed to no end upon seeing blue flames coming from the monster! But more so upon seeing that this flame was unlike ANYTHING he had encountered in all his years in the sea!

The two beams of energy, one of magic and the other of nuclear power, collided together and that resulted in a massive ball of energy forming before a HUGE explosion took place! Godzilla and Triton were forced back by the sheer might of the aftershock, the sea boiling around them and a large plume of water like a massive geyser shot out from the ocean to the surface! Fortunately for them, it was far away from prying eyes and no one saw said geyser. The sea around them boiled and bubbled for a few moments before slowly dying out. The saurian was the first to recover, though it was slow. The monster did not expect such a reaction, and was a bit weak and sore from the aftershock. But thanks to his size and will, he was soon back on his feet and ready to fight! However, King Triton was recovering at a slower pace and he did not have the luxury of Godzilla's size and will. He was sore all over, and his body ached as he moved. He looked up to see that the green-skinned creature was back on its feet and making its way towards him! He thought, 'There is no way for me to continue… I have to retreat with the others!'.

The elderly merman pointed his trident at the ground before Godzilla and shot another magical discharge, the blast landing at the saurian's feet and sending up a large cloud of dust and sediment. Godzilla was blinded by the dust cloud, and it stopped him momentarily. That was the time Triton needed to swim to his stunned guards and all four of them made a powerful run back to Atlantica. When the dust finally settled, Godzilla scanned his surroundings and saw that his enemies had escaped. They were nowhere to be found. Feeling he had driven them off, he gave off another roar before turning around and heading back to the sanctuary beach.

Triton was swimming fast and furious towards his kingdom, turning around and thanking the gods that the creature was not following them. His soldiers aided him, since his body was still sore from the aftershock of the mixing of magic and radiation. He thought, 'What just happened? What kind of fire did that creature spew out, why was it so different?! And why did it react so violently with my trident?!'. So many questions were swarming in his head, but one thought entered his mind. That this creature was indeed a menace to his kingdom and subjects, and thus needed to be either driven far back… or destroyed.

The King of Atlantica said to his guards, "Prepare the council for session. We have MUCH to discuss now with this threat in my waters…". The guards nodded, seeing that the situation was indeed serious.

~Back at the Forbidden Mountains~

While Triton was swimming back home, the vile witch Maleficent was admiring the handiwork of her henchmen and soldiers. The craft that would carry all of them to the place where her enemies were located at was complete. It did look a bit shoddy looking, but the vessel was indeed sea-worthy. At least for the time it would take for them to reach their destination. She inspected the craft, and the soldiers held their breath as their leader and queen looked over their vessel. After some time, she nodded and stated, "It does not look like much, it I believe it can hold afloat until we reach this England country.". That made the demonic horde sigh in relief, that their mistress was pleased with their construction. Maleficent turned to her forces that were gathered before her at the base of the mountain, all of them geared up and ready for battle.

She announced, "Hear me, my loyal minions! You will all soon have your share of battle and carnage once we reach our destination! For now, prepare and steel yourselves for we must cross ocean before we can reach our target.". Many of the humanoid soldiers showed their fear of the water by screeching and screaming, not wanting to be anywhere near the vile substance. Maleficent lifted her staff up and slammed it down, sending out a loud thunderclap of sort that silenced the hordes. She had their attention once again, and she witch stated that the craft would keep them from the water and that they would be safe as long as no one would do anything to damage the vessel. Seeing that they were now going to cooperate in boarding the sea boat, she ordered them to climb aboard. One by one, the soldiers hesitantly started to board the wooden ship. It took awhile for all of her forces to board the ship, but it was done. However, the last ones to enter was carrying a large bag that held the four magical gemstones that Maleficent used to summon and also capture the wills of the monsters.

She looked down at the little humanoid pig soldier and stated, "Very good. Put the objects in my quarters on top of the ship. But be VERY careful with it, or I shall punish you with something that will make you beg for death.". Though her voice was soft, it had a sharp edge that showed that she MEANT what she promised to deliver. The demonic soldier gulped in horror and slowly went on the ship with the bag, going very much by the letting in handling the objects carefully. Once the poor soul was on board, Maleficent followed suit. She took was careful as in her pocket was the Magic Mirror, shrunk down and secure in her left pocket. When she was on the front of the ship, she raised her staff and called forth the monsters from their slumber. Rising up in their titanic glory, the four enemies of Godzilla awoke from their sleep to do Maleficent's bidding. The sorcereress called forth Biolantte, the half-sister of Godzilla coming towards her. The soldiers and minions looked up in fear, still very much afraid of seeing this plant-animal titan up close.

Maleficent however only smiled wickedly and commanded, "Take this vessel to the ocean and put it in the water. Your comrades will tow us to our destination.". Biolantte roared softly and lifted the wooden craft with her tentacles. The soldiers held on tight to their positions, and also making sure not to go near the flytrap-like tentacles that held the ship in its grasp. Maleficent stood still like a statue, very pleased with the way her monsters obeyed her. She looked to the remaining monsters, and saw that they were hungry. She learned some time ago that Biolantte needed only soil, water and light to thrive just like a plant. However, the rest needed meat of some kind for energy. She looked at the village that was far away… and a very wicked idea came into her head. She turned to Titanosaurs, Megalon, and Ebriah.

She stated, "My dears, you look very hungry and famished. Perhaps some food will help you recover. Go to the village over there… and feast to your heart's content.". The monsters nodded and started to lumber towards the village, and while Biolantte started to take the witch and her minions to the sea, which was many miles away, Maleficent could not help but cackle and laugh when she thought on how the village was going to be decimated soon. Truly, she was a sorcereress with a heart cold as a glacier and blacker then a moonless night. It seemed that things were indeed coming together, in both good and bad ways for Godzilla and his monster allies, and for Melody and her friends!

(Author's Notes: Whew! It took me some time, but I finally completed this chapter! Just in time for the premier of the Godzilla movie! And I am psyched to see it! I just hope it is much better then the 1998 American version of Godzilla, and also that honors and pays homage to the true Japanese version.

In the next chapter, Melody and her friends start the next part of their plan. Only this time, they have help in the form of Ariel, Cinderella, Belle, Snow White and Aurora! The mothers will do their part in order to help their children, but it will not be easy. Also, Atlantica is put on high alert and Triton is ready to do what he has to in order to protect his kingdom. Things are going to be a little more interesting from here on in. I hope you all enjoyed this chapter! One question before I go:

If you wanted to introduce people to Godzilla and the others, who would you show them to first? Your friends? Your family? Or keep it a secret?

R&R, no flames, enjoy and leave long reviews!)
