Monsters and Magic

By: DJ Rodriguez

(Author's Notes: Hi everyone! How are all of you doing? I'm glad to see that a lot of you like my fanfic! Still a bit sad that I haven't gotten that much reviewers as much as readers… oh well, it's cool. Was a bit bummed that also no one has been answering the questions I post at the end of each chapter. In any case, time for another chapter to this novel!

In this part of the adventure, King Triton and his mermen soldiers meet the monsters held under Maleficent's spell… and they clearly see that they are outmatched in every way! Still, they will do what they can to at least buy time for the forces of good! While he and the others try told hold off the evil forces of Maleficent, Melody and her friends get to know one another in the village. In addition, the wives show their husbands the pictures that their children drew some time ago. A little peace for them… before the most biggest and powerful of storms comes their way to their kingdom!

I do not own Godzilla or any of the Toho creations, nor do I own any of the Disney characters. I do own my OC creations, and also the songs that I have put up on here. Might change later on when I post a song that is from another artist, and when that day comes, I will give said artists his or her due.

Now, on with the fanfic!)

Chapter 18

The local village near the Marcel royal grounds was abuzz about the new visitors to their small, but proud establishment. It seemed that Godzilla and his companions, beings from another universe entirely, were treated like celebrities or such. To the monsters this was an unusual change of pace. Back in their world, any kind of human settlement they went to would be destroyed due to their huge body parts doing incredible damage to the buildings. And the humans themselves would either flee in terror, or fight them with their weapons and machines. It was not the case here, as they were now very small in size, and also apparently bonded to some good people who happened to be pre-teens and royalty. In addition to this, they also defended their beloved rulers and children from all sorts of peril such as wild beasts and bandits of the worse kind. Right now, it seemed that the monsters and their bonded opted to go their separate ways for now. One would might say that each wanted to talk to another in private, like a date. So, Godzilla was with Melody and Oliver Oxen. Kathrin was with Edgard and Mothra, plus the Twin Fairies. Tracy was with Mainard and Anguirus. And Dianne was with Hadrian and Rodan. Each took a different path from the central village square, going into different parts of the village.

Godfred and Nicholas opted to stay in the central square of the village, wanting to get some rest and relaxation. Of course… that lasted for only a moment when two beautiful and curvy women came waltzing past them. Like heat-seeking projectiles, the two left their post to get a little better acquainted with the beautiful ladies.

Mothra was wiggling along beside Kathrin, the alleyways and such were large enough to accommodate her size and length. The Twin Fairies were riding on their charge, looking at the various stands and the structure of the houses, seeing that this indeed was different then the buildings and such they saw back in Japan. Kathrin was in the middle, walking between Edgard and the giant brown worm, and she was thinking on the current situation right now. She thought, 'What do I do now?! I mean… I'm alone with Edgard, and I… I just want to say something to him! Anything! But… I just can't come up with anything, for some reason.'. It seemed that when you are alone with the crush of your heart, it seemed that one would get tongue-tied on what to either say or do at this stage. Fortunately for her, it seemed that Edgard decided to make the first round of conversation.

He looked to her and asked, "Kathrin, I've been meaning to ask you. Tell me, what is your family like? Have you gone on any adventures? Do you have other friends back home?". That was the ice-breaker that the young lady needed, and it seemed that she answered his questions fully and honestly. She answered that her family had lived in Germany for many years, and also that her mother was of good royalty lineage. Kathrin stated that Snow White's real parents were kind and true, gaining strength from one another while leading their land into prosperity. Her stepmother, however… was another story altogether. Edgard then learned that Kathrin did not go on so many adventures like he did, always seeming to prefer to relax and enjoy nature while getting to know the animals. However, she did surprise him when she told him about her friends… the Seven Dwarves!

Kathrin said, "My mother befriended the Seven Dwarves when she young, and they helped her to hide from my step-grandmother, Grimhilde. There is Doc, Happy, Dopey, Sneezy, Grumpy, Bashful, and Sleepy. They work in one of the mines in the mountain regions close to our kingdom's borders. On some days, they take me to their mine to show me what they do and what kind of gems they found.". She added in that each dwarf was unique, their names showing their personalities and attitudes. She concluded that her mother told them that apparently, dwarves aged much more slowly then humans did, so they did not change much at all since Snow White met them. Edgard was indeed surprised to learn about dwarves, and also that they had a mine full of precious gems like diamonds, rubies, emeralds, and more.

The daughter of Snow White then asked, "So Edgard, can you tell me a bit more about your family? What kind of adventures have you been on?". The young lad seemed to puff with pride, and that made Kathrin softly giggle a little, and he started to tell the princess on his family. Apparently, Aurora and Philip were adequate rulers and often went to their parents for advice when it came to dealing with affairs for their two joined kingdoms. While they had a good deal of experience under their crowns, Edgard told Kathrin that his folks knew they needed sage advice from his grandparents in order to run both of their lands justly and fairly. He also told her that he and his sister Dianne had been on many adventures in his own land, thanks in part to their godfairies. Kathrin's eyes widened, as did the Twin Fairies, and she asked more on the magical guardians.

Edgard smiled and answered, "My mother Aurora had three godfairies; the Three Good Fairies. There is Flora, the eldest sister and a big fan of the color red. There is Fauna, a kind and gentle middle sister, but a bit absent minded and likes the color green. And lastly, there is Merryweather. She is the youngest, but very feisty and a big fan of the color blue. They played and watched over me and my sister when we were babies, and showed us their magical might and spells. As we grew older, we went on all sorts of adventures with them! Like being shrunk down to the size of an ant and exploring the garden, to being changed into various animals and such like birds, soaring high in the sky!". The Twin Fairies had never known of other mystical beings in their universe, almost any and all magical beings either extinct or gone into hiding. To their knowledge, they were the last of a mystical race. Kathrin was also interested in her crush's tale, wondering if one day she would meet these incredible trio of magical beings. They continued to talk about this and that, until they came to a small shop that caught the attention of Moll and Lora's eyes.

"Wait, friends! Stop for a moment!" they both called out, Kathrin and Edgard halting their walk while Mothra also scuttled to a standstill. The prince and princess inquired to what was going on that would cause them to stop, and the mystical beings pointed to a shop that was nearby. It was small but very tidy, and looked to be selling wares of the exotic kind. The sign above the shop read in English Bingwen: Shop of the Orient, and underneath the words in smaller print was the same name but in the Chinese language. The Twin Fairies stated that they recognized the language of the smaller print, adding in that they had made some trips to other parts of the land back in their world to learn of the Chinese language. Kathrin and Edgard had heard of the people in the mysterious lands far east of Europe, mostly from merchants that had returned from there. Minding the shop was an old couple, a man and woman, dressed in silk shirts and pants that looked unusual to the European children. It seemed that age was with them, but carried a certain mystic wisdom that intrigued them. The woman smiled at them and beckoned them to come, which they did. The tiny fairies asked Kathrin to take them over there with them, which she did by cupping her hands together and allowing the small women onto said hands.

The elderly Chinese male said proudly in good enough English, "Welcome, welcome! Welcome to our humble shop, little ones. My name is Bingwen Boqin, and this is my beautiful and lovely wife Jiaying. We are very honored and pleased to serve you.". The prince and princess were surprised and pleased by the manners of this old couple, and the Twin Fairies bowed to them. The elderly couple had met them last night at the party, so they were not as surprised as one thought they would be. They even waved happily at Mothra, the large brown worm squeaking in response and the tiny ladies translating that she was saying hello to them.

Boqin inquired, "Now, what can we do to aid such honored patrons that have come to our small shop?".

Moll answered, "If you do not mind us asking, do you have any kind of clothing that is made of silk like your clothing? Your style of wear reminds us a bit of home, and we would like to see if you have any that can be tailor-made to be of our size.". Jiaying answered that they had indeed had various color of silk and such, but that tailor-made clothing would take some time. However, given that the two fairies were quite small, the request could be finished within about two hours' time. While they were talking, and the couple taking some measurements for the fairies, Edgard and Kathrin decided to check out the shop. Going inside, they saw that the Bingwen couple had indeed quite a catch of Oriental clothing and styles. The prince and princess were studying and examining the articles of clothing; shirts, pants, and even some slippers that were also made of silk. Kathrin had felt the clothing softly, and was amazed at the feeling, the sheen, and the quality of these silk material.

'It almost feels like Mothra's webbing, only more refined and such!' she thought. She spotted a unique pink Chinese summer suit of sort. It was of the Tang design, with very short sleeves and on the front displayed colorful flowers that an artist took great care, pride and love in designing. The flowers looked to be identical of the ones Kathrin picked back home in Germany, and also the feel of the silk was very much amazing to her. And the dress looked to be the right size for her to wear. However, she felt sad because she did not have any money to pay for this. So now she looked at the dress with a sense of longing, wondering if she would ever purchase such a beautiful piece of clothing art. She was startled after her musing when she felt a tap on her shoulder, and a small sigh of relief came to her when she saw that it was Jiaying. The elderly woman saw the look of longing on the pretty princesses face, and came over to see if she could help.

"You know, we hold special discount for those who have brought two different worlds together. This summer Chinese dress is on sale for only 75 gold coins. Would you like to make a purchase?" she asked in a warm voice. Kathrin sent a grateful smile towards the elderly woman, but it was a sad one and she was about to say that she could not at this time buy such a wonderful dress… a bag of coins appeared between the two! They turned to see that it was Edgard, and the young man had a smile on his face. Kathrin was looking at him with wide eyes, wondering on where he got the money and that he was willing to purchase the dress solely for her. Jiaying was smiling, but it was not for professional reasons. She and her husband have lived quite a long time on this earth, and she knew young love when she saw it. It was blossoming, right before her eyes between the two royalties, and she thanked the higher deities above that she was witness to such a rare sight.

"I think this would be enough to purchase the dress, I believe. I think about 75 gold coins exactly are in this pouch." Edgard stated, and he put the bag into the hands of Jiaying. The elderly lady bowed her head a little at the prince, looking into the bag and seeing that indeed, there were gold coins inside of it. She started to count the coins to make sure that there was exactly 75 coins like the young man promised. While she was counting, Kathrin went to her crush and asked almost frantically on where he got the money. The son of Philip and Aurora confessed that he asked his parents for some gold coins to spend for the day before leaving, during when they were hugging and kissing them goodbye. Philip had handed to him a pouch filled with 75 gold coins exactly, and told them not to spend it all in one place. Even though now he was doing exactly that, Edgard felt it was for a good cause.

Kathrin was about to say that he did not have to do this for her, but Edgard held up a hand to silence her for a moment. He stated, "Kathrin, I really want to do this for you. Think of the dress as a memento of our first… date.". He said the last part blushing, and Kathrin was also doing the same thing. Jiaying then went to them, quietly chuckling at seeing such innocent romance blooming between the two royal kids, and handed the now empty pouch bag to Edgard.

"It seems that the dress has been paid in full, including the silk slippers that go along with said dress. Here you go." she stated, keeping to herself that the slippers cost extra but she would give them away for free this one time. She believed that the benefits of such a decision far outweighed the cons. Kathrin was then presented with the pink Chinese dress that she had her eyes on, and on top of the neatly bundled pile were two black Chinese silk slippers. The princess was a little overwhelmed that she was getting such a gift, and that she acted on impulse and gave Edgard a peck on the cheeks! The prince was a little stunned, in a pleasant way, by the kiss and gingerly touched the spot where Kathrin kissed him. Both were blushing up a storm, and Jiaying was really thanking the higher up for allowing her to live long enough to see such a beautiful and true sight. The two left the store, and saw that Boqin was taking notes and a small roll of measuring tape was on the counter.

He had taken down the measurements of the Twin Fairies, and according to him, making some silk dresses for the tiny girls would not be as difficult as he thought. He looked to his right to see his wife coming back to his side, and seeing the smile on her face, he guessed correctly that something wonderful had happened. He then looked straight ahead to see Kathrin and Edgard, and the small shirt and slippers that were in the princesses hand. Jiaying whispered into her husband's ear and the elderly man said, "Ah, you have made a fine purchase, your Highness. I am glad that you were able to find what you were looking for.". The two smiled at him and Boqin added that since they shopped at his store, they would make the silk dresses for the Twin Fairies free of charge. Kathrin and Edgard thanked him again for the generous offer, then the princess asked him a very stunning question.

She asked, "Excuse me, Mr. Bingwen, but can you suggest something for our friend Mothra here?". The husband and wife looked at the giant brown worm, and they felt that this was indeed a difficult question to answer. He replied that they would love to give something to the one who saved the lives of the royal family last night, but that Mothra was just too large for any of their wares. It stumped the group of humans for a while, until Kathrin came up with an answer. She looked to a golden silk scarf that was nearby and asked if they could do something with that. The couple said yes, but they were puzzled on what the princess had in mind. Kathrin took the scarf, and the Twin Fairies and went over to Mothra. The three people standing at the shop were wondering on what the princess and the fairies were going to do.

Kathrin looked to Moll and Lora and asked, "Do you think you can put a sticking spell or something on Mothra? Near her head?". The tiny twins nodded, and they lifted their right hands on their charge. Their hands glowed golden, and the symbol that Kathrin and Edgard saw at the beach, the same one that froze William and his cronies in their tracks, appeared on a spot near Mothra's head. Kathrin then started to get to work, molding and tying the golden silk scarf into something new. After a few moments, and also some quick adjustments to make sure that everything was in place, the daughter of Snow White and Florian had reshaped the scarf into resembling that of a flower ribbon, the kind used on presents and such. The Twin Fairies smiled at this, and the princess put the changed item delicately and in place on the symbol. It was like someone putting a wild blossom in the hair of their special someone. When it was on, the hands of the mystical women died down, and the object stayed in place. It was beautiful on the brown worm, and Mothra squeaked happily in appreciation and gratitude. Edgard and the Bingwens were surprised to see such a work of art, and also that it stuck on the monster's skin.

"I say, that is remarkable! Young lady, you have a talent with items like that! And do not worry, the scarf is free of charge!". Boqin stated, causing Kathrin to smile and going back to her friends. The Twin Fairies climbed back on Mothra's head, the mystical beings feeling that their charge was very happy now. Jiaying had taken the liberty of putting Kathrin's dress and slippers in a small basket, handing it to the delighted princess. The two royal children prepared to leave the shop, but they stated to the old couple that they would be more than happy to bring their folks here to take a look at their items. This pleased the elderly couple, for having patrons of royal blood would be a good boost for business. Mothra crawled to them, startling the couple a little, and lifted her upper body a little. With a gentle nudge towards Jiaying, Moll and Lora told her that Mothra was thanking her for the gift. The elderly woman smiled and laughter brightly, never believing that a day would come when she would hug a monster. Yet she did, hugging Mothra's head lovingly and saying that it was her honor to aid her. Mothra then turned her head towards Boqin, and the elderly man did what his wife did. It seemed that the couple would be able to tell a tale to their children and their grandchildren… should they come to Europe.

Waving good-bye, both to the human children and the large brown worm, the two companies parted ways as they started to look more around the village.

~With Tracy, Mainard, and Angurius~

While Kathrin and Edgard were at the Oriental shop, Tracy and Mainard were making their way to the western section of the village. The two were given a little bit of wide birth due to their large spiked-shelled friend, Anguirus. The two royals had been talking with one another for a while, the same way that Edgard and Kathrin did. The son of Belle and Léandre inquired a bit about Tracy's past, and it seemed that he had gotten a little more then what he was expecting. She answered, "Well, my mother was always good with animals. Since she had been treated rather… ummm, badly by her stepmother, my step grandmother Tremaine and my step-aunts Drizella and Anastasia, so she had mostly small animals keeping her company. In time, she bonded with all of them and understood them. Her best companions were Jacques and Octavius, but she called them Jaq and Gus. Later on, she met her Fairy Godmother after Tremaine and her daughters tried to ruin my mother's chances of going to the Royal Ball.". She continued on, stating that she had met the Fairy Godmother some time ago when she was very little, and also had inherited her mother's kind way with animals. Jaq and Gus had found some pretty lady mice, Deline and Rosette, and had long since settled down. She was friends to their children, and they had helped her out on all sorts of small adventures in the kingdom.

Mainard was really surprised on the life Tracy had lived with her folks, especially when she got to the part about a Fairy Godmother. He had heard and seen magic in his part of his home kingdom, but never had he heard of someone having a magical being as a godparent of sort. He said, "Wow… Tracy, you sure are one surprising girl! I never heard of anyone having a magical godmother, and also one who can understand and talk with animals! That's pretty interesting!". The daughter of Cinderella and Asce blushed a little from the praise, but then Mainard asked if she could understand Anguirus. Tracy admitted that she could not, and not even the monsters. Though bonded with Godzilla, she stated that it would take months or years to full try to understand the monsters. And even then there was doubt because they were not originally from this world. Mainard was a bit put out, hoping to one day learn what Anguirus would say to him. But for now, he was content that at least he was bonded to such a strong and fierce monster.

Tracy then inquired about her crush's past, and Mainard was more than happy to tell her about his little bit of his history. He answered, "Well, my parents did not exactly meet like one would consider normally. You see, my dad was a very… how shall I put this right… spoiled brat. He was very vain and self-centered, and it kinda came back to get at him when he turned away an old woman who came to his castle to seek shelter from the cold. As it turns out, that old lady was actually a beautiful enchantress that went by the name of Rosalie. When my dad tried to apologize… well, it was too late. She turned him into a large and unusual Beast, and put on some conditions that had to be met if he wanted to be human again.". He explained what the conditions were, and also what happened to the servants who lived in the castle. Mainard then told Tracy on how he and his mother met, and what happened that had Belle break the spell on his father. The daughter of Cinderella was indeed amazed to learn a bit about Mainard's family history, especially on how a beauty came to love and change a beast.

Mainard then told her of some of his adventures in the village whenever he and his parents left the castle. He told of the tricks he played on a certain man named Le Fou, a former flunky of the village's local hero, the deceased Gaston. While they were not mean-spirited or anything like that, it brought some laughter to the villagers to see the now tall and portly man being tripped up or water-ballooned by the royal prince. He also told her of the three blonde women there that most call the Bimbettes, but he found out that their real names were Claudia, Laura, and Paula. He learned from his parents that these women still held torches for Gaston, even though he was long dead. He tried to cheer them up, but they always were so cold to him. Tracy laughed as she heard of his deeds on making the townspeople laugh, and also some of his daring escapades both in the village and in the wild woods that surrounded both said village and his castle. The princess was impressed on how Mainard showed his prowess when outwitting certain animals, and after seeing him in action against the wolves and bandits, she believed him.

They soon came upon a small toy shop, filled with various dolls, wooden action figures, marionettes, clothing for children who wanted to look like either soldiers or fair maidens. The two went to the shop and started to look around, Anguirus content with just sitting outside of the establishment. Tracy and Mainard found everything to be quite likeable, especially the wooden swords. The daughter of Cinderella and Asce picked up one of the swords, smiling and saying, "En guarde, Mainard! Show me what a Célestin can do!". The little princess had seen some of her father's fencing lessons, and practiced on the sly. It seemed that she inherited her father's sense of adventure, especially when it came to defending herself. Mainard's eyebrows rose a little at this, as did the storekeeper and the other patrons who saw this action. The son of Belle and Léandre took up one of the wooden swords, and stood ready to face off against the princess. He was taught some fencing lessons from his father, and surprisingly from Cogsworth and Lumière. The two smirked at one another, and then at the same time lunged at one another!

The two started to dance around a little as they parried and clashed wooden blades with one another, going from the cramped storeroom quickly outside, where some of the onlookers stopped to see the small sword-fighting between the royal children. Anguirus looked on from his spot, a bit perplexed that his bonded and the other bonded human were fighting but it didn't seem that they were actually serious about it. It reminded him of his spars between Godzilla and himself. Mainard was quite impressed by Tracy's footwork and also her agility, while not having strength and a certain level of skill, she was still quite a sword-wielder. Tracy was doing her best, and also just having fun with her crush, the outside world soon blurring out until it was just the two of them. They seemed to dance and fly by either close or past one another in a way that was spectacular to see. It lasted for about twenty minutes until Mainard ended it by flipping the sword away from Tracy's grip and catching it in his free left hand. The princess had been disarmed, but she was not bitter about . On the contrary, she was smiling and starting to sweat just a little.

Soon, the whole world came back to them when they heard clapping from all around them. The two blinked their eyes to focus back on reality, and they saw that their little exhibition match had drawn a crowd. They hear cheering too from the people, and also from the teenagers who had witnessed the whole thing as well. Many were congratulating Mainard for winning the little match, while others told Tracy that she did wonderfully… for a princess that is. It was not much of a compliment, but she took it anyway. In this day and age, a sword-wielding princess was RARE. The two chuckled as the waved to the crowd, and even Anguirus nodded his head towards them. Tracy looked at Mainard with a sheepish smile and said, "Well… that was interesting! I have to say, that was quite a match!". She was hoping that neither he or the other villagers who had just witnessed their little sword match would tell their parents. She knew without a doubt that her folks would seriously frown on her sword skills and such, and that would make life a bit more difficult for her.

Mainard replied, "I'll say! You're pretty good with a sword, even if it's a toy one! You should be proud of yourself!". Tracy blushed a little on that compliment, and the prince found that look to be cute on her. That thought in itself made his face blush as well, both pre-teens now looking a little red in the face.

The shopkeeper came out and said, "My, that was most impressive! You two put on a magnificent display, especially with my wooden toy swords! Just for seeing such skill, I will give these two wooden swords to you two for free!". Mainard and Tracy smiled at the elderly man and thanked him for the generous offer. The two put their new acquired items in a handbag that was near the store, but it seemed that something caught Mainard's interest. The prince saw a large black strap that had a golden medallion on it, the insignia of the Marcel's royal crest engraved on it. He pointed at the item, the shopkeeper following his finger, and inquired on how much that large black strap would cost. The shopkeeper answered that it was a rather long and big accessory, made for adults for those who liked to dress up as soldiers or privateers. He finished off saying that the accessory by itself would be about 25 gold coins. Mainard groaned, now realizing that he did not have any money to spend.

Tracy inquired on why he would want to purchase the accessory, and the prince answered, "It's for Anguirus. I want to get him something that will make him stand out a bit more, and also show others that he is friends with this kingdom.". The shopkeeper was touched that the prince wanted to do something for the one who had saved the royals from those awful bandits last night, so he went inside the store, got the large accessory, and gave it to Mainard. He smiled at the surprised young prince and said that it was on the house, for the monster hero who saved the kingdom from the bandits. Mainard bowed a little and thanked the elderly man before going to Angurius and showing him the large black strap. The mutated Ankylosaurs was a bit puzzled by the item that his bonded showed to him, and was wondering on what he was going to do with it. The prince asked Anguirus to lower his head a little, and when he did, he put the black strap around his neck. Tracy saw what he was doing, and he went to the other side of the monster's head to help out. When she got the black strap that was now on the other side of Anguirus's neck, Mainard asked his bonded friend to lift his head up again. Anguirus did just that, wondering on what was going on. The princess was able to toss the strap to her crush, who got it and was able to fasten it with the medallion.

It seemed that Anguirus was now wearing a black collar of sort! But instead of a tag, on the right side of the monster's neck was the medallion that showed the emblem of the Marcel family. Mainard thought, 'I would like to have that changed if Anguirus decides to come with me to France. Until then, it will have to do. Now hopefully people will see that he is part of the kingdom, and that is good enough for now.'. The onlookers clapped lightly, saying that it looked good on the monster. Anguirus was not irritated in the least by the strap, and it seemed that it did not restrict his breathing as well. Mainard and Tracy were very fortunate to have found something large enough for their friend, and it showed on their faces.

The prince and princess went to the storekeeper and Mainard said, "Thank you again for the accessory! It seems to fit Anguirus well, and also not irritating him or restricting his breathing.". The elderly man chuckled and said that the two were fortunate to find an accessory that was meant for… ahem, expansive people. The three shared a little chuckle, then the royal pre-teens decided that it was time to leave. They waved to the shopkeeper, and Anguirus gave a soft but very audible roar to the elderly human before lumbering off to follow his bonded.

~With Dianne, Hadrian and Rodan~

The couple of Dianne and Hadrian had kept to the edge of the town on the northern side, the princesses bonded monster Rodan preferring to fly for the time being rather then hop/walk around. The reason for this was his wings, which were wide and would have caused some structural damage. Right now, the former titan of the skies was now flying high enough so that his wake would not cause damage but low enough so that all could see him. However, the princess's thoughts were not on her winged friend at the moment. Her thoughts were now on the Arabian lad that saved her life some days ago and how he proved more of himself against the wild animals and bandits. She was thinking, 'I'm all alone with the young man who is just… just amazing! Why does my heart beat so fast when I'm around him?! What do I say?! What do I do?!'. It seems that she too was bitten by the love bug, and it seemed the infection was quite potent. She was not the only one bitten by the powerful and formidable of all emotions, as Hadrian/Hazael was also thinking similar thoughts about Dianne.

He thought, 'I'm alone now with a beautiful princess… me, a simple merchant boy with royalty! This could only happen in fairy tales, yet I am experiencing it for real! What should I say or do?! I don't know what to do at this point!'. If one were to read their thoughts, they would most likely laugh. The two kept walking side by side, blushes forming on their faces as they tried to say or do something to get something… anything, started! Hadrian decided that it was he that should make the first move, the first approach. He cleared his throat and softly asked Dianne if she would be willing to tell her a bit about her past. After all, he did tell her much about himself and his parents past. The princess remembered that this was true, and she started to feel a little more comfortable around Hadrian. Not a whole lot, but enough to get the ball rolling between them. She started to talk about her parent's past, the ones that Edgard left off when he was telling Kathrin about his past.

She stated, "My parents met under some strange but wonderful circumstances. My mother was born to my grandparents, King Stefan and Queen Leah, and blessed with gifts from her fairy godparents, the Three Good Fairies. However… a powerful witch named Maleficent came, apparently a little miffed that she wasn't invited. I mean, who WOULD want to invite someone that dabbles deeply in the evil parts of magic? In any case, she put a curse on my mother, stating that she would prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel on her 16th birthday. Thankfully, one of the Good Fairies, Merryweather, was able to alter the curse so that instead of dying, my mother would merely be put into a deep sleep until her one true love would come and kiss her. It would wake her up and break the curse.". Dianne continued on, saying on how Aurora was taken by the Good Fairies to ensure that Maleficent would not find her. That her mother was raised by them, who adopted mortal forms, and close to her birthday, she met her father, Prince Philip. Needless to say, Hadrian was a bit captivated by the story so far and intrigued even further when the princess explained that the two met in their dreams ever since they were little.

The story lasted for a while, and when the princess completed her tale on how her father defeated Maleficent when she took dragon form, Hadrian stated, "It seems your family is steeped in magic, mystery and adventure! It would be wonderful if your parents history could be turned into a book or something. I believe my relatives back in the Middle East would love to hear such a fantastic tale.". Dianne blushed a little, seeing that her family history had caught her crush's attention. She said that it was nothing, and before he could reply, a loud trumpeting sound came from their left. They turned to see that a little event was being held, two people dressed in unusual clothing and doing some impressive acrobatic tricks. One was a beautiful blonde woman that wore a form-fitting pink bra top, and matching silk pants with the outfit. She had light tan skin, blue eyes, and despite her age, was very fit and healthy. And the male had the look of a strongman, built like an extreme bodybuilder. He had dark brown skin like bronze, brown eyes and short brown hair. He wore blue pants, and dark gray skin shoes. They were already having an audience, many of the women drooling over the male, while the male audience members had their eyes locked on the beautiful blonde lady.

The male announced, "Greetings, people of Sennen! I am Minos, and this is my beautiful wife Fatima! We belong to a traveling train of professional performers, and are advertising for our group, the Stars of Destiny. Our group is in the next town, about 30 or so miles east of this village. We have come to advertise on what you will see at this wonderful show!". Minos then tossed his beautiful blonde wife into the air high, and everyone "oohed" and "ahhed" as she performed some incredible acrobatic maneuvers in midair. Dianne and Hadrian were captivated by such a feat, especially when she started to come down back to earth thanks to gravity! But it seemed that this beauty was also agile, as she landed expertly on a long piece of rope that had been hung on between two buildings earlier by Minos. Though the rope bent, it did not break and Fatima showed off her impressive tightrope and aerial techniques. The beauty had a true, good smile on her face as she continued to play on the tightrope, then did a somersault as she jumped off and landed in the strong arms of her husband. The entire crowd cheered and clapped at the duo, some even throwing coins at them as they bowed to the awed audience.

Dianne and Hadrian were clapping and yelling for encore. When it was all over, the two went to them and Dianne stated, "That was incredible! You two are something else! I'm sure that the Stars of Destiny group is certainly worth seeing after this!". Minos and Fatima smiled at the two and thanked her for the compliment. Hadrian looked up at the tightrope that was still strung above them, and asked if he could try it out.

Minos laughed and replied, "Hahahaha! Boy, I think you should wait a few more years before even attempting to do the tricks that my wife here just pulled off. It takes years of hard training and such to even attempt walking a tightrope, and years more to even pull off those moves without falling.". The young man smiled and answered that he knew what it took, and that he was himself quite agile. But Hadrian admitted that he was an amateur at best, and wanted to show off a little to Dianne. The princess blushed when she heard Hadrian stating that, and that got the couple's attention.

Fatima said, "Well… alright. You can try it out, but don't come crying or complaining to us when you slip or fall.". The tone was not snide or anything rude, but she was just simply stating that since Hadrian was doing this, they were not going to be held responsible for what may occur to him. The young man bowed a little, giving a smirk to the couple and a wink to Dianne. He then proceeded to climb up the roof on the left, and then with some careful steps… walked onto the tightrope. The onlookers down below gasped a little as they saw the young pre-teenage Arabian boy walking slowly on such a thin piece of rope. Dianne was holding her heart, the princess showing concern and worry at this point. Hadrian looked down, winked at Dianne again… then jumped off! The audience gasped, then looked to see that the young man was now twirling on the rope! He was spinning his body around and around on the rope like a human wheel, then he stopped in mid-pose and was doing what one would call a handstand on the tightrope! It amazed everyone to see that the young lad showed great precision in strength and agility to perform such a feat! He started to handstand-walk on the tightrope, not swaying in the slightest and looking like he was having fun! Dianne was clapping her hands, while Minos and Fatima looked on quite impressed.

"Hmmm… the lad is indeed an amateur, but he holds much promise and potential. Could be an expert within a year or two with the right training." Minos thought out loud, Fatima agreeing with him. Hadrian then climbed back up, and started to jump up and down on the tightrope, doing some simple but excellent flips and such on said rope. He kept this up for a few moments, then decided to end it with a bit of flair. He called out for Dianne to watch, and then he did a particularly hard jump… and was soon rocketed towards the sky after landing hard on the rope! It almost looked like he was shot upwards to the sky like an arrow! The entire crowd gasped, wondering on how high he was going to go. Hadrian smirked as he continued to soar up, but when he looked down… it seemed he got a bit of vertigo as he was higher then he previously calculated in his head. He gulped, then started to lose form and now seemed to be in a free fall! Dianne was now worried beyond belief as her crush was now falling to the ground. Minos quickly saw this, and he and his wife looked around in their belongings that was nearby to see if they could catch him.

Dianne quickly thought of something and yelled out, "RODAN! CATCH HIM!". Minos and Fatima were wondering on why she just did that, and was wondering on who this Rodan was. They got their answer when they heard a loud screech, one they never heard before from any kind of wild animal. A shadow fell over them, and they looked up to see a big flying bird of sort, but with no feathers of any kind! It was a good thing that Rodan was nearby, and it saw one of his bonded human's friend rocketing to the sky. The giant pteranodon was curious on why a human child would rocket to the sky, and now falling to the ground with nothing to slow his descent. He chalked it up to weird human behavior, and flew fast upon hearing his bonded's call. Rodan screeched loudly, and Hadrian turned to see the monster flying towards him. He let out a smile as he thanked the higher-up beings for Dianne's quick thinking. Rodan caught the boy by the arms with his feet, and flew high in the sky and around to make a pass at the village. Everyone cheered as they saw their new friend and citizen of the kingdom save the young lad, while Dianne breathed out a breath she was never knew was holding until now. Minos and Fatima were stunned silly, their eyes wide and their mouths opened a bit as they saw the monster coming in for a landing. Rodan slowed and flapped his wings to stop himself, his blast of wind knocking some people off of their feet but they didn't seem to mind that. He hovered a bit, dropping Hadrian beside Dianne before landing with a big plopping sound.

Hadrian looked at Rodan and said, "Thank you for the assist, my friend! It would have been a lot worse if you had not shown up when Dianne called you.". The brown flying dinosaur simply nodded his head, and the young lad turned to see Dianne giving him a firm look. He gulped and flinched a little, seeing that he might have stepped over the line to impress the princess. Dianne scolded the Arabian boy, saying that if he scared her like that again, she would have Rodan toss him into a lake to cool off his ego. He smiled nervously and apologized, saying that he would think a little first before attempting that again. Dianne still had on a pouty face, and that made some of the male onlookers snicker at Hadrian's plight. Of course, said onlookers had girlfriends/wives, and they gave them a heated look, causing the males to cower a little. The royal princess and her crush were soon approached by Minos and Fatima, who still looked shock upon seeing the monster.

"W-What is this?! What is that creature?! And why do you call it a name?!" Fatima exclaimed, still shocked at seeing such a beast that went beyond her imagination. Dianne, Hadrian and the other onlookers realized that these people were new to the village entirely and did not know about Rodan or the other monsters. Dianne went to the two and with Hadrian's help, started to explain the general explanation of Rodan and also the other monsters that were in the village now. The couple were amazed to learn the existence of monsters, and also more so when they heard about them saving the life of the royal family. When the patrons and onlookers pointed out that Dianne herself was a princess, one of the royal families that were visiting for Melody's birthday last night, the duo could see that they had just performed before royalty! They bowed to the princess, who told them to rise while stating that while she appreciate the respect, she did not want anyone to bow willy-nilly to her. Minos and Fatima were again surprised to see a humble princess before them, reminding them of a certain princess they had met in a kingdom in the Arabian desert long ago.

Minos rose up and stated, "Your Highness, we thank you again for the compliments earlier and are now glad to have performed for royalty. And you, young man. Hadrian, was it? You show much promise and skill for an amateur. Should you seek to go the way of a professional acrobat, look us up. We would be more then glad to train you.". Both pre-teens thanked the strongman for his words, and Fatima inquired if there was anything they could do for them. Dianne gave it some thought, then looked to Rodan. The monster was waiting there patiently, looking at the scene with some would call mild amusement. Then, a thought came into her head! She looked to Minos and asked if there was any more rope in their belongings. He answered that there was, many feet of rope since they were performers after all. Fatima went to her brown bag and pulled out a good length of rope, and the princess asked for her assistance in turning the long rope into a loop of sort.

When Minos asked what she was doing, Dianne answered, "I want to make something special for my best friend here Rodan, and I think I may have found it.". After the rope was turned into a loop, the daughter of Aurora and Philip went to one of the shops that was nearby. This particular shop sold wooden medallion carvings that had the insignia of the Marcel crest, simple but of fine quality of both art and wood. She asked the shopkeeper how much one of the larger wooden carvings were, and the elderly lady who ran said shop said that it was on the house on account she was there at the party last night to witness the monster and royal families heroics, in addition to seeing just what occurred right in front of her. Dianne thanked her, and promised to pay for the carving later on when she could acquire the money. To Dianne, she wanted to act with honor and even though the shopkeeper said it was on the house, she wouldn't feel right of just taking it, so she would pay it back later. When the princess returned to Hadrian and the others, she asked Minos if he could make a decent-sized hole near the top of the insignia.

The strongman smirked and answered, "Hahaha! You need to bring me more of a challenge next time, your Highness! But, I see where you are going with this.". He took a small knife from his own bag, dotted the spot where the hole should be at with said knife, judged how big the hole would have to be… and then used his finger to push with great force the dotted spot was! The spectators were very impressed at seeing such precision and strength. Minos then took the medallion carving, put one of the rope strings through it, and then tied a knot around it when it reached the middle. Now one could say he had a hand in creating the world's largest collar! Dianne thanked him, then took the makeshift collar over to Rodan. However, she saw that he could not bend his head down low like the others could, and was wondering on what to do now. It was then that Fatima and Hadrian came to her rescue, both leaping up with Minos's help, and landing on the tightrope both had used earlier.

Fatima called to Dianne, "Princess! Bring your friend over to us! I think we're both high enough to put your present on him!". Dianne saw this, and felt that their idea could work. She looked at her winged friend and coaxed him into following her, Rodan following his bonded as he hopped towards her. When he was just at the right spot near the tightrope, Minos tossed the rope-collar up to the two acrobats and the dup took a leap of faith right at the giant pteranodon! Rodan was a bit surprised by this, and thought they were going to attack. However, Dianne told Rodan that it was alright, that they were not going to hurt him. Hadrian and the blonde beauty grabbed the collar in mid-flight, and they managed to get it around Rodan! They used the rope to slid down safely to the ground, Hadrian landing beside Dianne and Fatima landing beside her husband. Rodan looked at his now new accessory, and felt that it was unusual but not uncomfortable. The citizens, plus the princess and the Arabian hero, admired the new item that showed Rodan's connection to the kingdom.

"That was excellent! Good work, you two!" Minos told his wife and Hadrian, the two nodding in response. Rodan gave the humans a bit of a quizzical look, wondering on why it was now wearing such a thing. Dianne spoke that he looked very good with it on, and a strange but pleasant warm feeling now coursed through his body. The former titan of the skies now felt that this strange thing they put on him was worth keeping on now. He screeched loudly, some covering their ears from the noise, and then took off back into the air! Many of the citizens and patrons tumbled from the sudden gust and rush of air, Minos standing strong while holding onto his wife. Hadrian and Dianne were knocked down, and… it seemed they landed in an awkward position. The young lad was now on top of Dianne, and from another's point of view, they looked a lot like young lovers. When the wind died down, the two saw their position and quickly got off like each was a hot object. They blushed so badly, they both resembled strawberries. The onlookers chuckled, as did Minos and Fatima.

"Ummm… sorry about that, your Highness…" Hadrian whispered, his eyes trying to focus on something else other then the princess at the moment.

Dianne responded in the same tone, "I-It's alright… no harm done…". She was REALLY hoping that no one would say to any one about this little mishap. The Arabian boy then asked if she wanted to go somewhere else for now, and Dianne responded that it would be a good idea. The two turned and thanked Minos and Fatima, both for the gift and the help, and the pre-teens walked quickly away from the scene. The two performers shook their heads, a mysterious smile on their faces.

"Heh, they act like we did when we first met, love." Fatima said softly to her strongman. Minos chuckled and replied that it was true. The two then got their act together and started to do their advertising routine again.

~With Melody, Oliver and Godzilla~

While the others were having their own quality time with one another, Melody and Oliver were in another part of the village, with Godzilla lumbering behind them. The green-skinned saurian was mindful to not have his tail swish around to knock someone or something off, and that puzzled him. In the past, he didn't mind if he destroyed buildings and such with his body. Now, he was actually thinking on not causing any property damage. Oliver and Melody were talking to one another, the two not as timid as Dianne and Hadrian, but still a bit shy with being with one another alone. The African lad asked his royal friend, "So Melody… can you tell me a bit about your history? I already know a little about it, but I would like to know more. You already know of my family's history, so…". Melody smiled and replied that she was more then happy to tell him more about her family.

She started out, "My mother, Ariel, she was the youngest out of her family. She was also the most adventurous out of her six other sisters, always visiting shipwrecks, going to the surface, and stuff like that. Heh, she also gave her father, my grandfather King Triton, headaches more times then he would care to count. She always had Flounder with her as a best friend, and he really lived up to the part. He's as loyal as they come, and also the rational part to my mom. Sebastian… well, he is a musical genius and all, but he had a bit of adventure within him. Not by choice, since my grandfather appointed him to be my mom's unofficial sitter of some kind. My mom also had a secret cavern that was filled with objects that came from human ship wreckages, and she made sure it stayed hidden since her father did NOT want any kind of human things near his children.". Melody then went on how Ariel met Scuttle, and the very funny explanations that the seagull gave her mother when it concerned human objects. Oliver had to laugh a little when Melody told the time when Scuttle told Ariel that a fork was a 'dingle-hopper' and that it was used to for styling hair. The dark-skinned lad wondered if that bird inhaled too much sea salt or something to even come up with something like that for a fork.

The two kept on talking and walking close to each other, a fact that was not lost with neither them nor the onlookers who saw such a sight. Fortunately for them, the citizens gave them their space and did not say anything negative or give any kind of scandalous or scathing looks. Oliver and Melody soon came upon a café that was serving some pastries and coffee to the patrons, the sweet smell of fresh baked good reaching the pre-teens nostrils and leaving their mouths a bit watering. The princess checked her pockets, and was sad to find out that she did not have any gold coins on her. Oliver was the same, a bit down now to discover that he did not have any money to treat his friend to some snacks. "I think both of us should have gotten some change for our parents. Kinda embarrassing to look around a village, but with no gold on you." the Oxen lad said, Melody agreeing with him. The patrons looked up from their food and drink to see the couple, and also a ten-foot tall mutated dinosaur right behind them. Normally, one would shriek and run in fear upon seeing such a monster. However, since most of the patrons had been at the party, they just gave the trio a friendly wave. Godzilla looked on, wondering on why they were waving their arms at him. He was a bit curious about this human gesture. Just then, a familiar shriek filled their eyes. But this sound was of delight, and not fright.

The two humans and the King of the Monsters turned to see that coming to them was little Regina and Carlitos, the small children running to Melody and Oliver. Melody smiled and let out a small 'oof' sound as the two energetic children tackled her in a hug. "Hahaha! It's good to see you two again! How have you been?" she asked, very glad to see the two children that played a significant part in getting Godzilla to protect humans.

Regina answered, "We're doing good! We're here with Mama, picking up something for their wedding anna… anna… what is it again?". She had on a cute pouty face as she tried to remember the correct word, the look adorable on her according to Melody.

Oliver chuckled and said, "Anniversary, right?". Regina then smiled brightly and said that was the word. Carlitos pointed to a nearby shop, saying that their mother was inside looking for something for daddy. Melody was now a little bit intrigued, seeing that the shop they were pointing to was a little jewelry store. The small children then ran past the two people and went straight towards Godzilla, the tiny tots hugging the saurian's legs. The King of the Monsters really started to get a little more used to these hugs of affection from the tiny humans, but was a little bit annoyed when Regina and Carlitos started to climb up on his legs. He wiggled a little in trying to shake them off, but the little one's grips had increased in strength, and they held on tight before resuming their climb to Godzilla's head. The patrons and onlookers chuckled as the kids continued to climb, and Godzilla was doing his best to try and shake them off.

The small scene lasted for a few moments when a scream came from the jewelry store. The onlookers backed off a bit while the patrons rose from their seats to see on what was going on. Melody and Oliver looked at the scene closely, and both stifled a gasp as they saw strange man holding a lady hostage. In his left hand was a bag, and his right arm was clutched around the woman's neck while his hand held a knife to her throat. This kind of knife was used for hunting big game, and it seemed that the stranger had taken the woman hostage while robbing the store. He backed away from the store, his grip on both items tight as he held the lady like a shield. He exclaimed, "Back away, and do not summon the soldiers!". He then turned around with his hostage to see that he had witnesses… and looking up to see the snarling face of Godzilla! His eyes widened in horror, and his grip on the woman tightened. Regina and Carlitos, who were still on Godzilla, looked at the scene and the little ones gasped loudly.

"MAMA!" the two cried at the same time before letting go of their friend, falling to the cobbled stoneway gently, and making a break towards their mother. Melody, however, got a grip on them and held them tight. She pleaded with them to not go towards their mother right now, because she was in danger. The kids did not care about that, and just wanted to go with their mother. They struggled, bit and clawed at the princess in order to be released, but Melody's grip on them was good. Oliver gripped his staff, never leaving anywhere without it, and quickly thought of a plan.

He whispered to Melody, "Keep the children out of harm's way, and get the thief to keep his eyes on you. I have an idea.". Melody was about to retort, but Oliver then ran off to the left, and his movements were so quick that she lost him in the crowd. She wondered on what he was going to do, but she trusted him and started to yell at the thief.

"Hey! Let go of the lady and put the jewels on the ground! Otherwise, Godzilla here will make a meal out of you!" she exclaimed, and the saurian roared in response. Godzilla disliked cowardice, and in his eyes, a weakling taking another hostage like that was indeed a weak coward. The bad human growled at Melody and held the knife more closely to the woman, and he retorted that if the monster did not back off, then the street would be running with the mother's blood. Godzilla did not move from his spot, and he was seeing on how he could get to this cowardly being without bringing harm to the female human that appeared to be very close the little ones that tried to climb on him earlier. The saurian then spotted something from the rooftops, and saw that it was the black-skinned male that his bonded apparently liked, judging from the scent she gave off whenever she was near him.

Oliver made his way from building rooftop to rooftop, using all stealth and agility he possessed to get around the thief unnoticed. He thought all along the way, 'I have to make this perfect and count, otherwise… no, will NOT think on any negative outcomes. This has to work!'. Once he made it behind his quarry, he lightly leaped and jumped down, using the side of the building and some items to slow and soften his descent. Melody was doing her part well, keeping the thief's eyes focused on her and Godzilla. He snuck behind the thief quietly, used his stick to slide carefully between the mother and the thief's arm that held her. When he saw that it was indeed between her and the large knife, he gently moved his staff to tap the thief with.

The jewel thief felt something tap his chest, and looked down to see that some sort of wooden stick was poking between his arm and his hostage. "What the-?" he muttered when suddenly, the stick knocked him the face hard and came back down to knock the knife in his hand! Oliver/Olujimi was using his staff like a crowbar of sort, one end hitting the thief and the knife while at the same time the length of the staff acted like a crowbar, prying the bad man from the mother. Once his grip on her loosened, he used his shoulder to knock the woman off and away from the robber.

Oliver exclaimed, "GO! RUN, NOW!". The beautiful lady thanked her new hero while running away from the thief, and towards her children whom Melody let go once she saw that she was free. The princess, and everyone else, was amazed by the ingenuity and courage of Oliver. Even Godzilla nodded, snorting a bit as he saw that this human was one of those rare breeds that showed guts and brains. The bandit turned and glared at the young man, who stood tall and proud while holding his staff by his side. His grip on the knife returned, and his new target was the hero. His grip with the jewels was still good, the bandit not wanting to lose something he had worked hard to steal.

"I'm gonna cut you up, boy! Here is what happens when you play hero!" he growled before lunging at Oliver, but the Oxen lad had some tricks up his sleeve. He dodged the knife thrust, and evaded the slash that was coming his way. The African pre-teen was no slouch in fighting, and he it showed as he evaded every attack by the bandit. After a few minutes of dodging, Oliver saw that his foe was quickly running out of breath. Apparently, this robber was not in the most prime physical condition, and the dark-skinned lad was going to capitalized on it. He then started to go on the offensive, using his staff as a weapon as he started to poke, strike and slam on various places of the bandit! Everyone was now cheering, including Melody, as Oliver started to push the thief back! The princess had seen Oliver in action before, but this was now a different situation and her crush looked different as well. His eyes were firm, determined, and by the look on his face, he was drowning out the cheering and clapping. He was focused on his opponent, knowing that distraction was not needed at this time.

The robber was being pushed back, and his body was aching from all sides. His grip on the bag containing his prize was loosened via a strike to the wrist by the dark-skinned hero, and they were now scattered on the ground. The shopkeeper tending the store that was just robbed came back out and got the goods back. The bad man growled and tried a reckless charge to try and tackle the lad, but Oliver delivered a quick strike to the temple that stunned him still. "AGRH! Stop that, you little punk! I won't let you defeat me like this!" he exclaimed. Just then, Oliver stopped his assault and stood back. He held his staff to his side, the African lad having a small smirk on his face now. The thief was wondering why he had stopped, but was not about to question it as he prepared to charge at the boy. However… he soon discovered that a dark, long shadow was cast on him. And he heard a soft growl that was right behind him. The thief turned around, and slowly craned his neck upwards to see that he was now face-to-face with the monster that could easily snap him in two like a twig.

Regina and Carlitos, reunited with their beloved mother, smirked wickedly at the bad guy and the little girl exclaimed, "You're gonna get it now, you bad man! Godzilla, kick him away!". The saurian snorted, actually liking that idea. His powerful breath was too strong to waste on such a weak coward, and so he took the tiny human's advice. He lifted his left leg, and the bandit braced himself for the pain that was to come. He was not disappointed, as Godzilla lifted his leg and kicked the human hard towards a large window! Apparently, the mutated dinosaur had knocked the bad human into a bookstore, where his body went through the large window and into a solid oak bookcase. Needless to say, the thief would be in intensive care for a while, and in the future… be nursing a sizeable bump on his noggin. The crowd cheered for both Oliver and Godzilla, seeing another villain biting the dust! Oliver nodded to Godzilla, smiling. The saurian returned the nod, but his facial muscles could not pull off a smile. Still, Godzilla respected the dark-skinned human's courage and skill. And that in itself was an honor.

Regina and Carlitos went to their heroes, first hugging Oliver before going to Godzilla and hugging his legs. "You two were great! You are our new heroes!", the brother exclaimed proud and loud. Oliver then received a small hug from Melody, who was quite glad that her crush was alright and also very proud that he was able to save Regina and Carlitos's mother. The two were then greeted by said mother, who bowed a little to them and thanked Oliver for the rescue.

The young lad answered, "It was my pleasure, and duty ma'am. All I did was just distract him, and guide him to the only one I knew who could defeat him. My skills in fighting aren't that great in real life fighting. I still need more practice.". Melody and everyone who heard this were a bit amazed by this hero's humility, and the princess really admired that quality. The beautiful lady smiled and thanked the young lad again, then looked up to see to Godzilla. She called out to him, thanking for kicking the bad man away. The monster nodded and let out a soft roar, Regina gladly roaring to try and imitate him. Godzilla looked down in amusement as the tiny human roared, another warm feeling entering his being that he could not describe. But like always, he just flowed with it instead of analyzing it. It was much better that way.

The owner of the jewelry store emerged, and the middle-aged man stated, "Thank you for bringing that bandit to justice, and letting me get back my stuff! Please, let me repay you two somehow!".

Melody looked at Oliver, then they looked at their friend Godzilla. The princess looked at the shopkeeper and stated, "Well… instead of doing something for us, think you can do something for him? We want to get something for him, something that will help others to see that he's part of the kingdom.". The middle-aged man looked at Godzilla, and was studying him. He knew that there was not much in his inventory for a beast this size, but when he saw his arms… an idea formed in his brain. He answered that he may have an idea, and he went back to his store quickly. Oliver and Melody were a bit curious on what the shopkeeper had in mind, and the onlookers and patrons of the café were also on the same wavelength. In a few minutes, the shopkeeper returned with a long and large dark blue belt of sort. It looked to be the same color as Godzilla's blue fire, and the buckle was made to be in the shape of the Marcel emblem and looked to be made out of a strange material. The material was platinum, one of the rarest elements on the planet, but none knew of this information. To them, it was just another shiny and valuable piece of metal.

The shopkeeper showed it to them and said, "I had this in storage, a long leather belt that I used to cut into different sizes for different people. And the buckle emblem was created by my father a long time ago when he stumbled upon an unusual rock that was different from the rest. This can't go around the monster's waist or neck, but I think it could go around his arm. Like an armband, or something similar to it.". Oliver liked the idea, saying that in his native land, ones that wore armbands made of any kind of material symbolized either a rank or stature. And with the emblem buckle showing, it would show to all that Godzilla was part of the kingdom, not some random beast or property like a pet. Melody liked this idea, and agreed to it. She and Oliver took the belt accessory and went over to Godzilla, who was looking at the two curiously.

"Godzilla! Can you please lower yourself a little? We have a present to give you.". Melody called out. The saurian did not know what a present was, but he trusted his bonded so far and he was not going to question it now. He sat on his haunches, and lowered his right arm as much as he could for her. A helpful patron came back with a small ladder he found in the café, and Oliver held it as the princess climbed up and put the belt over Godzilla's muscular bicep. She looked down to see some of the braver people come down below and make the necessary motions to lock and secure the belt in place. Once it was done, Melody got off the ladder and told her friend to rise up. Godzilla did so, and inspected the new item that was now on his right arm. It did not feel uncomfortable on him, and for some reason he liked the shiny metal that was showing. He gently poked at it with his claw, and then looked at Melody and Oliver, giving a soft growl of approval. The two humans thanked the ones that secured the new armband in place, and also the shopkeeper for giving them such a gift for their friend.

"Melody, how about we go back and find the others? Maybe they have some spare change or something that we can use to get us some food." Oliver suggested. Melody found the idea appealing, and agreed to it. She turned to everyone and thanked them for everything before turning to go. Godzilla followed the two, the humans waving to them a farewell. Regina and Carlitos were the most energetic of them all, waving to the monster and saying that Godzilla looked cool with his new armband. It seemed that this was one interesting time for the royal family members, their bonded monsters, and their local friends.

~Back at the castle~

While the kids were having fun at the village, the adults were currently upstairs in the Art Room. They had just finished their little interrogation of the Monster bandits and their leader, Shadowsneak. They got little information out of the leader, who was still down for the count and was too injured to give a suitable answer to their questions. Springy and Tightfist were able to answer them, and they told the adults quite a bit about their group and operation. The two had decided that serving time in some distant rock quarry or in a cell was better then having to face the wrath of the monsters again. The other bandits agreed with them, and Shadowsneak managed to whisper out the word "Traitors" to them all. One would not blame them for switching over to go to the straight and narrow, especially after getting their butts handed to them by beings from another universe. King Eric told them all that a swift trial would be forthcoming soon, and the bad men actually rejoiced at that news. To them, any kind of action to get them out of this kingdom that had strong monsters as protectors was good news.

Now, they were in the Art Room, at the insistence of the wives when they stated they had something to show them. When they were all in the room, Ariel opened the closet and brought out the drawings/paintings that the kids drew some time ago. The fathers were indeed impressed by what their young ones had drawn, and also more so when their wives told them that the children felt completely safe and at ease when they were around the monsters. Cinderella told her husband Asce, "I heard it myself. Tracy says that she compared Godzilla to you, saying that while you protecting her is more refined and precise… Godzilla's is more primal, instinctive. I should say, you should feel honored when being compared to the King of the Monsters.". The king took the compliment with a grain of salt, thanking his wife for the words. Indeed, each father showed great interest in their children's artistic creations.

"Perhaps we can have a professional artists come in and copy the paintings here, one's large enough to put in the living rooms. I'm sure that these pictures can be preserved for future generations to see." Florian suggested. The other adults found that it was not that bad of an idea. It would be good to have large portraits for the homes of the families, and the children preserving and keeping the originals for themselves. Ariel and Eric were now deciding on which professional painter was right to do the job, when Grimsby and Carlotta came barging into the room. The other royals saw that a look of worry was on their faces, and Eric inquired on what was wrong.

Grimsby answered, "My Lady and Lord, we have some surprise visitors! It is Flounder, Sebastian, and another mermaid we have never seen before! She claims to know about the monsters and children, and says her name is Sonia! They state they have some urgent news that concerns King Triton and Atlantica!". Upon hearing this news, Ariel was the first to rush downstairs and towards the door. Eric was right behind her, followed by their royal friends. When she came outside, the former mermaid princess went down some steps that lead to the beach and indeed saw Flounder, Sebastian, and Sonia waiting for them in the shallows. Ariel waded out to meet them, and Eric soon followed. He took off his boots before going in the water, while the rest of the royals waited on the shore. When Ariel got to her friends, she asked if they were alright.

Sebastian answered, "We're all right, Ariel. Just a little tired from swimming all this way from da kingdom, and so fast too.". The musical crab was not a big fan of swimming at fast speed.

Sonia added, "Queen Ariel, King Eric! I'm afraid we have some terrible news! We just heard some news from Atlantica from a soldier that reported what a scout had spotted! It seems that four huge… huge… creatures are 50 miles or so west from Atlantica's position! It seems that all manner of sea life and such is traveling fast away from these things!". She then started to describe the creatures that she and her two companions overheard, and that got Ariel and Eric thinking hard and fast. After she told what King Triton was going to do, they realized that the appointed time of departure had long past and that the king and his troops were probably at the spot where the creatures were at.

"Sonia, Sebastian, Flounder. Thank you for the information and news. I believe this could be big, so please stay here where it's safe. But, if you have family or friends you think need to be pulled out of Atlantica, then go and bring them here.", Eric stated. Flounder and Sonia bowed to the land prince before leaving, going to Atlantica to get their families and friends. Sebastian opted to stay, saying that there was not much in Atlantica for him to return to and retrieve. Ariel said she understood, and she and Eric went back on land to their companions. Asce inquired on what was the news about, and Eric recapped the story to them all.

At the end of his explanation, he said, "Ariel, we better tell the servants to be prepared. Grimsby, you and me… we got to tell the captains and generals. I believe we need to organize some sort of defense should the worst happen.". The servants bowed, Grimsby and Carlotta going back up to the palace. Belle inquired if they should fetch the children, to have them return to the safety of the castle. King Eric nodded and yelled to Grimsby to have someone tell Godfred and Nicholas of the situation, and to aid them in bringing the children home. They all walked back upstairs to the castle, Sebastian hitching a ride onto Cinderella's dress by grabbing it with his pincers. The Marcels and the other royal members had a bad feeling in their hearts, feeling that something BIG was on the way towards them… big trouble! They didn't know how right there were…

~45 miles west from Atlantica's position~

King Triton and his forces were at the spot where the huge creatures and the craft were supposed to be at, given its current speed and all. The dolphins were very nervous, and wanted to swim away far from this place. King Triton tried to steady his mounts, but they would not cooperate so he let them loose. The dolphins saw back far from the spot at high speed, and the mermen knights were also nervous. They would not desert their king, but something powerful… evil… was coming their way. King Triton's trident was glowing now, pulsing a strong golden color. He stood tall and straight, not backing down in the least. He turned to his troops and declared, "Stand your ground, all of you! Do not be afraid! We are here to make sure this threat does not reach our kingdom… our homes… our families! So, do not waiver!". The troops felt their morale and strength returning, and they pushed the fear and nervousness down as they stood upright on their fins. Their spears and tridents ready, they would not falter!

Something was emerging from the murky water ahead of them, a shape they could not make out yet. Triton readied his weapon, already powering it up to fire a burst of magical energy at the invaders. The closer the shadow shapes got, the larger they become. Soon, the shapes emerged from the shrouded sea… and the forces of King Triton gasped on what they saw now. It was indeed like the scout reported! In front of them was a HUGE creature, one whose size surpassed anything living in the ocean! It would be more then a match for any legendary creature of myth, such as the Kraken. It had the head of a crocodile, but shaped in a way that was anything but! It had rows of razor sharp teeth, inside of its maw and also on the roof of its mouth. Two curved teeth, like tusks, were on the lower and upper end of its jaw on the side. It had a body swathed in thick, vine-like skin and it had a pulsing heartbeat that was visible to all. Underneath its bulk were tentacles that had heads with no eyes and teeth, all writhing as if they were alive.

Coming beside the creature were to more shapes that left all including the king stunned. On the right side of this bizarre creature was a large red dinosaur, one they had never seen before! It could easily put the king of the dinosaurs, Tyrannosaurs Rex to shame with its immense size. And on the tentacled creature's other side was a huge bug of some sort, unlike any kind of water bug the king nor his forces had ever seen. It had an unusual shaped horn on its head, and also strange appendages that looked like metal. The three monsters were Biolantte, Titanosaurs, and Megalon! They were here! Right behind the massive monsters was the sea craft, held by Ebriah and heralding the witch Maleficent and her forces.

On the craft, insider her own quarters, Maleficent was meditating when the Magic Mirror, which was propped up in a corner, came to life. The sorceress looked at the face of the Spirit in the Mirror and inquired, "Why have you been summoned when I did not call you?".

The Spirit answered, "The power of the ocean is in front of you, small in size but great in soul. The king of the sea stands tall and proud, a true king to behold. His weapon is a magical trident, and he knows how to wield it well. You must think smartly before trying to subdue him with any spell. Your titans are mighty, let them do as they wish. Most certainly they can devour these half-human, half-fish.". As he told her his words, the mirror showed the image of King Triton and his forces. Maleficent was indeed intrigued about seeing creatures that she believed were in myth and tales of old, having seen water sprites but never actual merpeople. She also saw the trident glowing in his hands, and the sorceress turned to see her four valuable magical objects also glowing. It seemed that they were resonating with one another, like a magical ripple was traveling that only they could sense and vibrate to. The witch smiled wickedly at the image before her, before glowing a deep black and green aura. She was calling upon her mental powers of enslavement, reinforcing and commanding her control of the monsters through telepathy.

She called out to her four otherworldly kaiju, "My pets, the beings that stand in our way are pests. Destroy them if you must, but bring the golden trident to me! Leave the glowing weapon intact, and bring it to me! This, I command!". With a pulse of her evil magic, the command was sent out and obeyed. Ebriah, Megalon, and Titanosaurs had no problem following the orders. However… Biolantte showed that she was a bit hesitant but still followed the command. Maleficent frowned a little, still sensing that the will of this creature was indeed stronger then the others. She would have to keep an eye on her. But it mattered not at the moment, for the half-sister of Godzilla obeyed and all monsters swam towards the forces of Triton! The battle was about to commence!

(Author's Notes: Well, I'm leaving off here! How was this? I hope I kept up to any and all expectations. The characters I used in the story, Minos and Fatima… they are from the classic Disney cartoon series, Aladdin! Like the ones showed on Saturday morning and afternoon back in the early 1990's. Like I said, I am old school and I thought it would be interesting to add in some Disney characters from other cartoon series into her. Sort of like living Hidden Mickey's, so to speak.

So, the battle between Maleficent and Triton has begun! It is badly mismatched, but count on the king to buy Atlantica, his family, and Ariel and her family some time to get things prepared! Also, what do you think about the little dates between the young couples here? And also on what was given to the monsters? I tried to have some help in that department, but since no one answered my questions via reviews or PM, I had to make do with what I got.

Now, here are some questions before I officially end this chapter. One, what kind of accessory or any such item would you have given to any of the monsters? And two, if you were Prince Eric and/or Princess Ariel, how would you prepare for the worst after hearing the news from Sonia and the others?

Next chapter, darkness comes upon the land and it's going to get pretty ugly for our heroes and heroines! Wish them luck as monsters who could give the titans of old a run for their money descend on the land!

R&R, no flames, enjoy, and leave long reviews!)
