Monsters and Magic

By: DJ Rodriguez

(Author's Notes: Hey everyone! I am back and with a new chapter for you all! I'm very pleased and glad that my novel is becoming a hit, and that you readers AND reviewers have liked what you have seen so far. I really hope to bring honor to both Disney and Toho with this story. I really do hope, and imagine, this novel being bought by both Toho and Disney, becoming a full-length animated film, and hopefully… even by a small margin, to top Frozen even! It's a dream, but one I hope comes true. Hehehe…

In any case, this chapter is all about the fighting! I really hope to bring out the best of both Disney and Toho when it comes to fight scenes! Fatima and Rodan will show their stuff to Springy, who will also show he is not a villain to be taken lightly. He is a General of Maleficent's forces, and thus will put up one heck of a fight! And also, I will show the battle between Minos and Anguirus vs. Tightfist! Scales and claws vs. spiked shell and fists! Let us see who wins! Be ready for more surprises, and also I ask you please trust me on this. I have had this story idea in my head a good long while, so I know what I am doing.

I do not own Godzilla or any of the Toho monsters, nor do I own any of the Disney characters. I do own my own OC creations, and most of the songs here. If there is a song that is by another artist, I will give the artist his or her credit and due by putting their names and such on here. Now, on with the novel!)

Chapter 29

The rooftops of the massive, earthen palace-fortress that was created by the sorceress Maleficent were now the battleground between two powerful forces! On one side was Fatima, the graceful acrobat and wife of Minos. By her side was the monster Rodan, former titan of the skies but still formidable foe to any who stood against him. On the other side was the new General to Maleficent's demonic horde army, Springy of the Monster bandit group that had been changed and reborn as a frog-like creature thanks to his Mistress of Evil. The three beings had been going at it for a while, Fatima and Springy using the rooftop spires as landing spots while using the surface as runways before taking to the air to do battle. This had been going on for about ten minutes, with neither one showing signs of fatigue.

Rodan had been flying around the whole time, coming down to either try and strike at the frog-like fiend with his wings and/or talons, or to aid the beautiful blonde beauty when it looked like she had miscalculated a landing. Fatima showed to Springy that she was no mere acrobat, or just another pretty face. Years on the road with her husband, traveling here and there all across the known world, especially after a little tour in a place called Agrabah in the Middle Eastern lands, had taught her to be very nimble, agile, and calculating as the very birds of prey themselves! People said that she was 'graceful like a dove' yet also as 'quick as a hawk'. It showed as she bounded after the frog-like fool, Springy surprised that she could keep up with him in his new form.

"You have the reflexes of a toad, ugly one! But I have the agility and quickness of the birds!" she declared when she quickly leaped into the air, did a somersault with a twist, and landed gracefully and safely on a pointed spire. She then leaped into the air like the skilled professional she was, and landed a clothesline to Springy when he tried to dodged out of the way on his left. He thought that she would deliver a spinning right kick, but he thought wrong. He got back up quickly, bouncing like a rubber ball before landing on a stone top. He was rubbing his chest gently while glaring at Fatima, who was smirking as she was standing on a flat top of the roof that semi-covered a window.

One thing that the former human lacked was the ability to anticipate your opponent's moves. Springy, when he was human, never truly developed this ability since most people were not at his level of skill and quickness. He had never truly tested his abilities against someone that was his equal in speed and agility, and now that he was facing one, he could not anticipate their movements as much as he thought he could. Fatima was using this to her advantage, for she had trained herself vigorously for years. The transformed monster glared at the blonde beauty before lashing out with his tongue! The tip of the tongue contained a solvent saliva that would cause numbness in whatever it touched, as long as it was organic. It would last for five minutes at the most, but it would be enough for Springy to come to his target and end the fight… permanently. Fortunately for the heroine, she sensed that the tongue was dangerous and fast, as she had seen the frog-like being use it to catapult himself to various spots on the roof during their aerial battles. She jumped out of the way, and upon landing, she streaked towards the minion of Maleficent!

The former human had to wait awhile before his tongue could retract. He learned that he had to keep still until his tongue would be back in his mouth, otherwise it would cause a problem for it later. The wait was only a few seconds, but he knew that the wife of Minos would capitalize on those few seconds. And indeed she did, for she came at him in a flying drop kick! Once his tongue was back into his mouth, he bent over to barely avoid the buxom human missile. He growled and stated, "Okay, blondie! You and that overgrown flying lizard of yours are history!". He concentrated, causing Fatima, who had recovered nicely from her missed attack to wonder what her opponent was doing. Rodan sensed the same thing as he circled around, his sixth sense telling him that his opponent was about to pull something dangerous off.

Springy's fists started to glow red… fiery red! Fatima gasped, seeing that her opponent's fists were covered in pulsing red light and the smirk on Springy's face did not help much either. "You think you're hot stuff, eh? Well… try THIS on for size!" he exclaimed as he sprung fast and furious at the human woman, Fatima snapping out of it and leaping at the last moment to avoid the punch, bounding quickly to one of the top spires. Springy's fiery left hook hit a gargoyle head, and to the surprise of both Rodan and the human, the rock ornament started to melt until the head was now a magma-like mush! The General cackled evilly as he saw the look of surprise and shock on his opponent's face, but he was a bit annoyed that he could not read the emotions on Rodan. He bounded up the rooftops to where they were, his smirk never leaving as he held up his burning fists to the heroine and winged monster.

"Ha! Never suspected this, did you? I can light any part of myself on fire! Can't shoot fireballs and flames like a dragon, but hey! I don't mind, especially when I can just punch or kick my enemies into a burning mess!" he exclaimed, laughing at the frustrated look that was now on Fatima's face. The woman knew that she had to tread VERY lightly this time. Any wrong move or miscalculation would most likely spell the end for her. Rodan just screeched at Springy and flew fast at him, preparing to deliver a flying body rush slam! The former human grinned and jumped high into the air, avoiding the attack and delivering a fiery right hook to the former titan's back! Rodan screeched a little in pain, the attack catching him of guard more then pain. He was born and lived in an active volcano, so intense heat was no problem for him. But now that he was shrunk, the attack did do some damage, superficially that is.

Fatima gasped and hoped that Rodan was all right, then glared at Springy. She stated, "You may have some fancy magic working for you… but that won't stop me from kicking your slimy rear end!". She charged towards Springy, who did the same and both were engaged in a heated battle! The buxom blonde beauty was delivering some vicious kicks to her opponent, years of working on her agility and speed giving the mature but shapely legs some serious strength. Springy dodged and evaded her attacks, and countered with some of his own. He set his own feet ablaze with intense heat, and started to deliver both punches and kicks to her! Fatima made sure to block the attacks by letting her hands or legs touch the parts that did not glow, but the smooth hairs on said body parts got singed a little due to the outrageous heat. The furious exchange of blows and counter-blows lasted for about three minutes before they broke apart, and Fatima knew that she HAD to end this quickly. She leapt up to the tallest part of the fortress –palace rooftops, Springy following and Rodan swooping to her position.

'I got to end this fast! Who knows what this heat-powered frog freak has up his sleeve?!' she thought. She was hoping and praying that her foe did not have some sort of technique that would heal him or restore his energy to take away the fatigue that was now showing up on her. She saw a gargoyle dragon head coming up in front of her, one that bore a resemblance to Maleficent when in dragon form. She got an idea and kept running towards it! The beauty looked behind her for a moment, and saw that Springy was bounding fast towards her! She looked back to her target, and when she was nearby… she leapt, jumped off the snout of the dragon gargoyle creation, and zoomed towards a surprised Springy! The mutated human saw that his target was coming right back at him, upside-down from his point of view. Fatima then did a flip, using the minion of Maleficent's own momentum against him when she double-kicked him in the back of the head! The frog-like human stumbled as he flew forward, Fatima landing on her feet gracefully as she looked to see her foe dive head-first into the dragon statue! From her point of view, it seemed that the dragon gargoyle head was trying to eat the goon.

"Ha! It seems that even though you got the power… I got the brains." the beautiful acrobat stated smugly as she saw Springy struggle in trying to release himself from the stone mouth. Apparently, he had embedded himself good inside the mouth of the stone ornament. When he finally pulled himself free, he felt something grab his shoulders tight. He looked up to see that it was Rodan! The supersonic flier of the skies latched on tight with his talons and flew up high with his prey! The former Monster bandit was struggling to get out of the grip of the giant pteranodon, but Rodan showed that once he got a good grip on anything… he rarely let go. After reaching a certain altitude, he turned around and dived down towards the earthen rooftop! Springy let out a scream of fright, and for good reason. When Rodan was near the structure, he let loose his prey before flying high into the air once more. The frog-like fiend hurled into the rooftop, slamming good and hard into the hard earth! Where he was now was a large hole, and Fatima got a bit close to the hole to see Rodan's impressive tactic. Said pteranodon landed beside the agile human, apparently also proud of his accomplishment.

Fatima stroked the side of Rodan's chest gently and stated, "Nice work, big guy. You really put him down! I hope it was for good…". Her sentence was cut off when immediately a sudden burst of movement occurred! The acrobat was sent back when a fast-moving object struck her in the chest, sending her back a bit and causing her to stumble on the rooftop. The part she stumbled on was slanted, so she rolled and soon landed hard on a wide-open bartizan that was on the northern side of the palace-fortress. Rodan looked down to see if she was alright, then looked at the hole just in time to see the same object that just lashed out at unbelievable speed strike him! Rodan screeched as he was nailed in the right wing, and stumbled a little from the impact. He tried to fly away, but he soon felt that something was off. His wing was responding, it was shaking badly and soon… he could not feel anything from it! He screeched as he tumbled down, landing near Fatima. Coming out from the hole was Springy, and the villain looked both disshelved greatly… but also ticked off! He was injured, bruises and such on his bodies and most likely some bones were fractured in some places.

He leaped and landed near the duo, his face scrunched up in anger as he stalked towards them. He spat out, "You two thought you could defeat me THAT easily, eh?! Well, guess what? I'm more resilient then I look! And now, look at you two! All in pain, yet not feeling a thing. That would be due to my tongue! Hahahahaha!". He went to Fatima, then backhanded the blonde girl hard with his webbed fist! Fortunately for her, it was not lit up with fiery energy so she was not burned. However, there was a bruise forming on her cheek from the hit and the blonde beauty moaned a little in pain.

'Dear high ones above… this fiend can hit! But… he is right about one thing! I can't feel anything on my own chest, down to my navel!' Fatima thought as she tried to feel any kind of sensation on her chest area. Alas, she felt little next to nothing on her breasts, her shoulder joints, or a little past her belly button. Rodan screeched and squawked loudly, trying to get his wing back in shape but he too felt nothing in his right appendage. Springy turned to the giant flier and leaped up to Rodan's head, delivering a kick that was surprisingly strong for a fiend his size and stature. The frog-like being yelled for Rodan to be quiet, apparently very annoyed by his cawing. He then turned to his victim, wanting to gloat more for he wanted her to how he was able to immobilize her… before ending her life.

"Here's the deal, blondie! The tip of my tongue is coated with some strong solvent saliva that makes anything living come in contact with it go completely numb! Oh sure, it lasts for only five minutes… but that gives me enough time to deliver a final blow, wouldn't you agree?" he stated with a vicious sneer, as he concentrated some of his fiery anger into his left fist, which slowly glowed red until it was now pulsing with heat. Fatima had some fear in her eyes and she tried to get away from the sinister General, but her body would not respond due to three conditions. The first one was that due to the fall, her body was badly bruised and it hurt to move anything even a little. The second was that fatigue was setting in; she had been fighting against Springy intensely for more than ten minutes and now she was out of breath. The third and final condition was that due to Springy's numbing solvent in his tongue tip, it felt weird and unusual on her lower body and certain body parts would not move because they were not getting the right connections due to the numbness.

"Farewell, you little pest! HAHAHAHAHA!" Springy exclaimed before coming at her fast, left fist held high to deliver the blow on her head! She gasped and closed her eyes, awaiting the end and hoping that her husband Minos was still alive at least. However, after a few minutes… nothing happened. She cracked open her eyes to see that something was blocking her view… shielding her! Fatima saw that it was Rodan, the pteranodon hovering over her, his brown-reddish body acting as a shield! The giant monster had used some strength to fling himself at his human ally just before his foe could connect with his attack. Rodan knew, from his past ally team-ups with rivals like Godzilla and Mothra, that it was important to cover for your ally. And since this human had befriended him, he was going to do what he could to protect her! Springy was surprised greatly when his fiery fist was blocked by Rodan's body, and more so when he saw that his fist did little to no damage to the monster. The fiend saw that his fiery left punch did not leave so much as a mark on Rodan's back! He growled, and concentrated until both fists AND his feet were blazing with red heat!

"So, want to play living shield eh?! Fine by me! See if you can take this assault, you featherless freak!" he exclaimed before starting his fiery assault on Rodan, pelting his wings, back, and head with fiery punches and kicks! Rodan screeched loudly as he was hit from all sides by the heated attacked, his body almost heatproof but now it was being truly tested here. Fatima was pleading for Rodan to hang on, to stay strong until the solvent wore off from both their bodies. The human was greatly touched by the monster's protective actions, and she promised to do something for the beast to make up for this… if they lived that is.

What neither of them did not know was that Rodan's physiology still had large traces of radiation in him, and also that it was mixing with the magical heat that was coming from Springy's attacks. Magic and radiation did mix together, but in chaotic ways that could be either good or bad. Rodan's radiation in his DNA, the building blocks of life, was reacting to the heated punches and kicks. The body felt that these attacks were hurting it, so it decided to do something about it. Since the body was already almost heatproof due to living in active volcanoes, it decided that now… it was to be taken a step further! Springy cackled as he continued the fiery pressure on the pteranodon, never realizing this was the first step in Rodan turning into something more in the future!

~With Minos and Anguirus~

While Fatima and Rodan had their battle and problems with Springy, Minos and Anguirus were having their own with Tightfist! For ten minutes, the former human was earning his keep in keeping at bay Godzilla's best friend and Fatima's husband by trading in punches, body blows, and also slams that would have killed a normal human being! Tightfist showed the spiked-shelled monster that his strength had increased last time they met, delivering a blow to his jaw that sent Anguirus a foot or two away and leaving the creature dazed for a moment. Anguirus felt some pain in his jaw, and indeed saw that this former human had indeed become stronger then last time. But that didn't mean he was going to take it lying down! Minos was a bit surprised to see anyone knock away the monster, but his senses were sharp and he barely avoided a claw swipe that was headed his way. Had he been slower in reflexes or senses, he would have lost his head in a way that would make the Queen of Wonderland proud. Tightfist growled, a bit miffed that he missed. However, his annoyance turned to shock quick when he felt something bury itself deep into his stomach. It was Minos's right fist, and the mutated lizard clutched his stomach as Minos backed away a bit.

The deep bronze strongman rubbed his fist and thought, 'By the gods… this sideshow freak is more tougher then he looks. Still, by the looks of things I did some damage so that means he is still a bit more vulnerable then he thought. I got to keep up the pressure!'. Anguirus saw that Tightfist was stumbling a bit from the blow his human ally gave to him, and he saw an opportunity to retaliate! He gave off a loud roar as he charged in fast, and Tightfist looked up just in time to see Anguirus lower his head and deliver a powerful uppercut head smash that sent him flying into the stone wall! The minion of Maleficent was embedded in the wall, and that is when the two members to the forces of Good charged in to keep up the pressure! Tightfist growled and lashed out with his tail, catching them by their feet and tripping them. He struggled to get out of his rocky predicament, but when he finally managed to get out, Anguirus and Minos were back on their feet. The spiked-shelled friend of Godzilla leapt forward fast towards Tightfist, and the former human showed his speed by barely evading the crushing body slam.

Minos charged in and delivered an uppercut to Tightfist, the blow doing damage and causing the lizard-like fiend to be stunned. It was only for a moment, then he glared at Minos and delivered a right cross that connected and gave the strongman quite a jolt and a bruise. However, the husband of Fatima was still standing and he land Tightfist let out a yell before they started to trade blows against one another! If one might compare the fight, they might have said it would be similar to the boxing match that was held between an American boxer named Rocky Balboa against a Russian boxer named Ivan Drago. It lasted for about a few minutes until Anguirus cut in, delivering a claw swipe that knocked Tightfist away and back a goof five or so feet. The spiked-shelled beast roared and charged forward, grabbing a surprised mutant humanoid lizard by his tail with his teeth, and tossed him HARD into the ceiling! Tightfist roared in pain, embedded in the rocky ceiling for a moment before dropping down hard to the ground. Minos looked at Anguirus and gave him a thumbs up saying, "Good work, Anguirus! You really showed that sideshow freak attraction who's stronger!". The monster did not get the thumbs up sign, but he did partially understand what his human ally was saying and he took great pride in his strength and it showed.

Tightfist got up, growling angrily as he was being humiliated in battle by these mortals. The minion of Maleficent then gave out a loud hiss before he ran to the opposite end of the wall, sunk his clawed hands and feet into the rocky surface before crawling up fast on it and was now on the ceiling! Anguirus and Minos tensed up as they saw the former human crawling on the ceiling like gecko lizard, though he was anything but. Tightfight was using his sharp claws on both his hands and feet to dig and crawl on the rocky surface, not using any kind of sticking property. The monster and strongman human looked directly up as Tightfist glared down at them before releasing himself! The former human quickly charged color, his scales going from green to light gray quickly. Anguirus sensed that something was very wrong, and with quick reflexes nudged Minos out of the way as he too evaded the drop. Minos stumbled a bit and turned around, stunned to see that a deep crater had formed on where Tightfist had landed! Said being before them stood up on slightly bent legs, his tail slamming up and down, and in the process creating some serious cracks in the hard earth.

"HAHAHAHAHA! See that, fools! I can change my entire body to become as hard as steel, making me invulnerable to any of your hits! Go on, try and get a shot in! I promise you either your fists or teeth with be unable to penetrate my scales!" the lizard-like foe exclaimed, his scales gleaming in the torch lights. Minos glared, wondering if this was true. They were dealing with a creation of magic, so what Tightfist just declared might be true. However, Anguirus was not one to back down from any kind of challenge! He roared again and charged at Tightfist, ready to clamp down on the now gray-scaled foe. The minion of Maleficent just smirked and braced himself, not even flinching when the spiked-shelled monster grabbed him with his huge teeth and took a great big chomp! However, Anguirus suddenly groaned in annoyance as it spat out the arrogant humanoid lizard, and Minos could see that some of his friend's teeth were a bit chipped. Tightfist just cackled in glee, his body not even scratched! The strongman did notice that Anguirus lift up the fiendish brute, but not as high as last time.

"See?! This is the kind of power I like! Now come on, show me more of what you got!" the now prideful mutant of Maleficent declared, Anguirus roaring back that he was not going to give up! Minos however opted for the cautious route, hanging back and letting his body to heal. He was really banged up, and although quite resilient, was not as durable as Godzilla's best friend. He was also more level-headed, analytical then the spiked-shelled monster and decided that now was the time to assess the situation more due to this change in tactics by the enemy. Though he was a professional strongman made for entertaining the masses, his beautiful blonde wife Fatima insisted that he used his head more often and he did.

He thought as he saw Anguirus fight the changed magical mutant, 'Hmmm… what has changed? Sure, this General is more stronger then before and it seems that he has developed some sort of impervious scales to protect himself. But it has to have a weakness! Every thing, be they living or not, as a weakness, no matter how small! I need to find it in this son of a jackal…'. He saw his friend/ally being repelled by the scales, Anguirus's claws and teeth not cutting it anymore. The only thing that seemed to affect Tightfist was when he used his Sonic Roar technique, the room filled with the powerful sound waves of Angurius's roar! Minos had to cover his ears to protect his eardrums since the sound reverberated everywhere, Tightfist doing the same. The dark bronze strongman saw that at least Tightfist's senses like hearing was still vulnerable like a regular human, making him think if it was heightened due to being part animal now.

After five minutes of not getting anywhere with this mutated human, Anguirus had enough! He curled up into a ball and rolled towards Tightfist as fast and furious as possible! The minion of Maleficent just grinned and braced himself, his right shoulder out as if to block the rolling spikeball monster with a shoulder block. Minos saw his ally roll towards the lizard human and was stunned when Anguirus connected and only managed to budge Tightfist a little! The fiend laughed in wicked glee before sending Anguirus back with a strong claw punch! Anguirus was forced to roll back, his physical self not hurt at all but rather his pride. Minos saw that Tightfist's scales seemed a bit dented, both by the punch and hit he took from Anguirus! He said to himself, "That's it… I got it! His transformed state gives him greater endurance, yes. But it also makes him slow! He's weighed down like a big hunk of metal! He can only move a little, and even his own defensive scales can't fully stand up to Anguirus's shell! I think I just figured out a way to really take down this fool!". With body now partially rejuvenated from his little break, but his mind now active, the strongman started to put together a plan that would ensure the defeat of this slave of Maleficent!

~With the pre-teens, Dopey and Godzilla~

While the professional entertainers, now turned hero/heroine, were busy with their foes… Godzilla and his human allies plus one young dwarf were catch their breath as they stopped running. The saurian was not the one out of breath, but rather his bonded and the other humans were panting, trying to recover from the long run they just endured. Dopey was the same, panting and fanning himself as he slumped to the ground. The group had been on the run from the crumbling path behind them, running nonstop for about several minutes until the path just ceased crumbling. The shaking that started this whole mess ceased to be, and Godzilla sensed that whatever caused the violent tremor was not here anymore. Melody and Tracy were leaning against his legs, panting as they were recovering from the ordeal. The daughter of Ariel and Eric looked around and saw that none of their parents were with them. She looked back at the path that was now gone behind them and called out, "Mom! Dad! Are you alright?! Are you there?!". Her voice echoed across the entire chamber, but no other voice returned to reply. She was about to try again when Tracy stopped her, putting a hand on her shoulder.

"We must have gone separated when the entire place started to shake. I think that we are now so far apart from one another that they can't hear us." she stated quietly. The royal children were sad that they were separated from their parents again, but they got up with determination in their eyes to reunite with them soon. Oliver saw that Godzilla was looking ahead intently, and gazed in said direction to see that a massive door was just ahead. It was just big enough to allow any one or thing that was the saurian's size through with little difficulty. However, there was something ominous about this door that made the African lad shiver a bit in fear. The door was solid black, like the night sky when no moon or stars appeared. On the stone door was an insignia of what appeared to be a shapeless wisp with completely white eyes, a grin of maliciousness on this form's face. The others soon saw this, and a shiver went down both their spines. Sebastian peeked out from his place in Melody's right pocket, did a funny gasp of sort and ducked back into the pocket. Jaq, Deline, Gus and Rosette also poked out from Tracy's pockets and saw the image. The mice were scared, but Gus was not. The chubby little mouse did not know the meaning of fear, his tough face on like he once put on when facing Lucifer the cat back home in the past. Dopey saw this and ran behind the kids, his fear showing quite clearly.

Dianne whispered as she was close to her brother Edgard, "What is that? For some reason, I feel very reluctant to enter it.". The royal children, Oliver and Hadrian, plus Dopey were all more then a little hesitant to go near such a door. The magic that Maleficent put on the door was that those that came near it that did not bear her magical mark would be put under extreme fear and anxiety, making them quite vulnerable to anything. However, Godzilla was unaffected by this magic. To him, this door was just another obstacle and the magical waves it gave off really set his fighting spirit on high! He sniffed, and the scent he picked up earlier came back in full force. The one who had challenged him before, a human with a sword that almost delivered a critical blow to him several days ago, was behind this stone barrier. It had changed, but not so much as to mask the original scent. He growled loudly and stomped towards the door, ready to wrench it apart if need be to get to the one calling on him… calling for a rematch, another fight! Melody and the others saw their friend going to the door, and their eyes widened for they knew Godzilla was intent on going in!

Tracy called out, "Hold on! Godzilla! Don't open it!". The saurian paid little heed and when he touched the stone door, he felt that it opened by being pushed open, not pulled. He put some strength into it, and pushed open the heavy stone slab. Once the door opened, the magic that had the humans and dwarf in a fear-stupor was released, the pre-teens and their animal friends shaking off the evil hold that was on their minds and hearts. Melody and Tracy were angry that someone would pull such a nasty trick on them, and they stomped after Godzilla, looking determined and fierce as lionesses. Oliver had a small grin as he saw the fierce look on the Marcel princesses face, glad to be close to a woman that was passionate in spirit and body. Mainard thought the same when he saw the look on Tracy's face, the son of Belle and Léandre liking the look of fierce determination on the daughter of Asce and Cinderella. In his view, she looked wild and ready to kick some serious bad buy behind. The royal pre-teens, two local heroes and Dopey followed, the young dwarf still nervous and looking this way and that when he entered the domain.

What they saw really mystified them. They were in a large room, about twice the size of the Gargoyle Room they were previously in. The whole area was stacked with objects, furniture and other things that made this place look fit for royalty! The place was it with dim candles located in certain spots all over the room. The humans looked all over the place, the animal friends coming out to also scope out the place. Hadrian picked up a crystal bowl and whispered, "This is truly a unique piece of work. I highly doubt that this all came from Maleficent.". The others were thinking the same thing. During their little exile in the grove, they had seen the soldiers of Maleficent come back with plunder from neighboring lands. The Arabian pre-teen saw very little honor in gaining any kind of wealth or riches if it was not earned through hard work and honesty. He put the glass bowl back in place, hoping to return this stuff to their rightful owners in the future.

Godzilla did not pay much attention to the trinkets and such around the room. His mind was focused on only one thing; find the source of the offending smell and put an end to it. The saurian sniffed around the room, trying to find the one that challenged him several days ago. It was not his nose that helped him, but his sixth sense as he felt an ominous presence on the far side of the room. With little warning, a clapping sound was heard all about and it made the pre-teens and Dopey jump a little in fright. Sebastian retreated back to Melody as the mice went back to Tracy. The humans gathered together in one spot, Godzilla behind as he growled at the one who was making the clapping. They all saw through the dim light the candles gave off a being sitting on what seemed to be a chair of sort that was made to look like a throne royalty would sit on. Edgard peered as hard as he could to at least see if this being was human or not. He thought, 'From the look of it, that guy… or girl, is human. But, they really packed on the muscles and such.'. The clapping soon ceased, and a sinister chuckle of sort filled the room as the mysterious figure got off the seat and stalked towards them.

The pre-teen heroes and heroine learned that whoever it was that was coming towards them was a male at least, thanks to the soft laughter that filled the room. The sound chilled them to their bones, but they stood tall and defiant as can be. The King of the Monsters growled loudly, drowning out the laugh. The sound coming from the being ceased, the he came close enough to the light for everyone to see on who it was. What they saw would give them nightmares for some time. Standing before them was Shadowsneak, new and improved… in one's twisted opinion. He stood up to his full height, which was half a foot shorter then Godzilla. He had muscles on both his lower and upper torso, but not bulging out like an extreme bodybuilder. His hair was white as snow while the rest of his body was black as the night sky with no moon or stars. The princes, princesses, and the village duo heroes saw two small bony protrusions on his arms, and he was dressed like a General; various armor decorating his being. Though this intimidated the humans and dwarf, they did not know who he was since he did look different to them. Godzilla knew though, and the saurian was itching for a fight with him, as his stance suggested.

Melody demanded, "Who, or what are you? Are you one of Maleficent's demon soldiers?!".

Shadowsneak laughed again and replied, "My dear, I am more than a mere soldier to my Mistress. In fact, I'm a little hurt that you don't recognize or remember me. I can't blame you though… since last time I was thrown away by the blue flame from that lizard behind you!". The royal humans and the local pre-teens eyes widened when they heard the sound of the voice, and a look of shock crossed all of their faces. Godzilla was getting more agitated and angry, his pride hurt on being called a mere lizard when he was something much more. The former human drank up the shocked state that Melody and her friends were in, enjoying seeing their eyes wide in awe and their mouths dropped in shock. Dopey, Sebastian and the mice, who peeked out from Tracy's pockets, were confused on who this person was.

"It can't be… you… we thought you'd perished when Maleficent took over the castle!" Tracy exclaimed, her surprise and shock quite evident on both her face and in her tone.

Shadowsneak chuckled again and replied, "Believe me, my dear princess. I almost did die when the sorceress came, but she made me an offer I could not well refuse at the time. I was lying on my back, covered from head to toe in bandages as I was recovering from my… last encounter with your green-skinned friend there. She told me she could not only restore me, but also give me and my surviving fellow Monster bandit buddies more power… the power to become more stronger, better… more powerful! In exchange though, we pledged our loyalty and services to her. A fair trade, I believe.". He then showed his new body to the pre-teens, the humans and dwarves not really impressed with the display. Sebastian commented that he just looked like an overripe blackberry, and that got the minion of Maleficent a tad annoyed. He then smirked and decided to give a little demonstration of his new abilities. He stepped into a shadow of a desk, and in the blink of an eye… was swallowed up by the darkness, almost like the shadow itself ate him! Melody and the others gasped in surprise, then more so when they heard Shadowsneak's voice coming off from multiple areas of the room! Godzilla's sixth sense and fighting spirit were on high alert now, sensing that his opponent was everywhere at once!

Melody and her friends looked everywhere, until they felt something coming from above them. They looked up and saw that Shadowsneak was on the chandelier above them, sitting on top the expensive-looking ornament as he again enjoyed seeing the stunned looks on the pre-teens faces. He commented, "This is one of the new abilities my Mistress gave me. Behold, I am General Shadowsneak, one of the three who command's Maleficent's armies. Now… let me test my new abilities and powers against all of you.". He then jumped down from the chandelier, landing in front of them and getting into a battle stance. Godzilla was fired up from the beginning, and he could not wait to battle against this upstart former human! He charged in, the others going to the side quick to allow their friend a clear, straight path towards his foe!

Mainard exclaimed, "Hey! Wait for me, Godzilla! I want to fight too!". Edgard was right beside him, also wanting to get a piece of Shadowsneak. However, the princesses stopped them. Tracy stated that it was a bad idea at the moment to get in the way of the King of the Monsters, who was all set for battle as his fighting spirit was affecting them greatly. The humans and Dopey got out of the way as shadow being clashed against saurian king! Melody suggested that they hang back, to look at this fight and find for any kind of weakness. Oliver agreed to this, saying that they needed to be smarter about this since Shadowsneak had been changed by a powerful magic user. The two princes wanted so bad to fight, but they saw that Melody was indeed right. Besides, they looked to see that Godzilla was now locked in a test of strength against the former human that gave them trouble in the past, so indeed it was time to think and act smarter. The fight was on!

~With the kings~

While the children were having their own battle against Shadowsneak, the royal adults were in a bit of a problem of their own. Just like Melody and the others, they were separated from one another thanks to the tremor that shook the room they were previously in and ran away from the crumbling pat that was behind them. It lasted for several minutes before the path stopped falling apart and down, and the men saw that they were on their own. Asce had called out, "Cinderella! Tracy! Where are you?!". The fathers, especially the transformed Beast, were worried about their wives and children. However, they saw that they could not go back the way they came. Beast saw that the earthen spikes and pillars that were situated in the palace-fortress were too spread out and far apart for him to leap on and grab to. He had planned to leap from pillar to pillar to go back, but it seemed that was shot down quickly. Philip suggested to keep going forward, in hopes of finding the others along the way. The kings were reluctant,, but saw little other choice in the matter. They turned around to follow the remaining path that was in front of them… only to be facing with a large door.

This door was a mixture of toxic green and midnight black, with the insignia of a dragon's head on it. The head was in the shape of Maleficent when she turned into her beastly form. Beast growled at it, his senses on high alert as he knew that something very bad was behind this door. Florian commented, "It seems we have to go through whatever is on the other side of this room to continue on. But… I'm feeling very uneasy now…". Like what Melody and the other young adults felt when they saw the black door, the kings were feeling anxiety and such seeping into their brains and hearts. Maleficent had enchanted her own door so that anyone that does not have her magical mark would feel great unease and fear upon seeing the door. However, Beast acted differently since he was not quite human at the moment. The transformed king roared as he pushed the door open, the slab of stone opening for them to enter. Luckily for Beast, the door had that simple enchantment and it opening broke said magical hold. The royal men regained their normal wits and courage again, and cautiously entered the room. Beast was last, and when he entered… the door slid closed quickly with an ominous BANG sound!

"Well, well… it seems that I am now graced with the company of the royal men." a hauntingly beautiful voice came out from the darkness, causing the princes to be on edge as they readied their weapons. They all knew who that voice belonged to, and Philip gritted his teeth as he tried to search for the owner of that voice.

The dark chamber was soon alit with green light from torches that were situated in various places around the room, the green glow giving off a very ominous and dreadful light. The royal men saw that they were in a bedroom of sort, one that was quite large and looked to be well kept despite being in a slightly dirty stone-built room. Appearing in a flash of green light was Maleficent herself, her pet raven Diablo landing to perch on her shoulder! The witch looked at the four adult men with amusement, and also at Beast with a mixture of awe and curiosity. She stated, "Welcome to my bedroom, your Highnesses. I must confess, I am surprised that you all made it this far. Though, with the help of your… children and the monsters, I suppose it was possible.". She had been aware that something was wrong when she heard Beast's roar down in the dungeon. She was enjoying her little nap when the sound woke her up. Using some of her magic, she formed a magic portal that showed her what was happening in the dungeon area below. Maleficent was genuinely surprised to see the children there, alive and apparently with some help that she did not foresee. The sorceress never did like being out of the loop of anything, especially where it concerned her enemies.

She had watched the scene of their battles with her minions, and was again stunned that the princesses and children were fighting with much vigor in their hearts and bodies. Seeing Snow White holding off some of her own soldiers with a shield really caused the eyebrows to be raised. The witch also watched when they split up on the paths near the entrance/exit of her abode, and also saw the battle that took place in the Gargoyle Room. Maleficent was at first proud of her creations, especially when they revealed their strength in such a way that made the powerful magic user glad to see such deviousness from her personal creation, Demona. However, she soon grew annoyed when she witnessed Dopey the dwarf and the small animals reveal the key component that brought her creatures to life AND having their regeneration ability… the Life Stone! When the tide of battle turned in favor of the heroes and heroines, the witch grew more annoyed and frustrated but she did not let it show on the outside. Maleficent sighed when she saw Demona turn to stone permanently when Godzilla crushed her blood-red Life Stone in his claw. Sensing that something had to be done when they reached the path that split into four sections, she used her magic to cause a violent tremor in the area the heroes and heroines were in!

Maleficent laughed in amusement when she saw them panic, but the laughing stopped when she saw that the humans, dwarf and monster ran in three different directions. The King of the Monsters, the royal children plus two urchins that she did not know of, and the young dwarf went on the path that led to the Shadow Room, a place where she built just for her General Shadowsneak. The kings went on the path that led to her bedchamber, and the queens… they went on the path that led to the Magic Arsenal room, where she kept the powerful magical objects that gave her the incredible power she had enjoyed so far. However, she dismissed the idea of the royal adult women using the items against her or being destroyed. She assumed that since they were mere mortals who led comfortable lifestyles, that they would have no idea on how to handle the magical objects. How wrong her assumption be, as she would find out later in the future. However, the present is what mattered and her focus and attention were on the royal intruders that stood before her.

The kings were leery of the magic user before them, all of them ready to fight but to not act recklessly. Even Beast was tense, but not charging like he usually would. The former human hero had learned the hard way in his youth that charging blindly at one who uses magic was a bad idea that resulted in catastrophic results for him. Maleficent had a sly smirk on, and with a wave of her staff… her bedroom changed! The bed itself, which was large enough to hold four people, sank into the ground and vanished without a trace. The dresser and other small vanities lying about also sank into the stone floor, soon disappearing as if they were not there at all. Now all that was left were the kings and the sorceress, and Maleficent's aura of green and block was flaring up slightly more even after the objects vanished. She declared, "Now then… come and try to attack me, your Majesties. Try and take on the Mistress of all Evil… try and take on the entire powers of HELL!". With a wave of her staff, she sent out a crescent slash comprised of green and black magic energy! The princes all dived out of the way, scattering here and there! Beast took a great leap to the right, barely avoiding the attack and breathing heavily at using his strength so quick like that. His reflexes were surprisingly fast to be sure, but to just react like he did so quickly was a bit of a strain on his muscles.

Each of the royal men tried their luck against the sorceress, one at a time. Philip came from the far left, his weapon, a double-edged broadsword in his hand as he tried for an overhead slash. However, Maleficent sent him back with a ball of black magic! The husband of Aurora had to turn the attack into a block, using his sword to block the magical orb. It worked, but the magical energies within the sphere exploded, creating a shockwave that sent Philip down on his butt hard.

Next up was Florian, wielding a morningstar mace. He was a bit disappointed that none of the enemies down below had a rapier, a weapon he was more skilled with and used to, but he had to make do. The witch laughed at his attempt and easily evaded the blow, sending a strong bolt of magic that struck him in the back! He was sent down hard to the floor, but thankfully the magical energy did not have any side-effects and such. So, he was lucky.

Asce came in with one of the rocky clubs he had used when battling in the Gargoyle room, but Maleficent blasted the makeshift club to bits before striking the Charming king with her magic. Fortunately, he leaped and jumped out of the way of her bolts of energy. The Beast was next, roaring and charging fast at Maleficent! The sorceress was surprised a little at the transformed prince's speed, but she managed to evade the charging tackle… if just barely. The witch growled and sent out a lightning bolt at the Beast, but he leapt away with such agility that was near impossible for a creature of his size and shape.

Finally, Eric came in swinging with a double-edged sword. The witch smirked in amusement as she fired a lightning bolt at him, but the sea-faring royal sailor used some nimble footwork to dodge the incoming blasts and was almost upon her! Sadly, she used a teleport spell to vanish and Eric sliced nothing but air. She reappeared on the other side of the area, and took aim at the Marcel king! He got caught with a hit to the back with a fireball, but he stopped, dropped and rolled quick to smother the flames. Still, the damage was done and his back sported an ugly burned spot

The kings came back together to regroup and rethink their strategy. "Hahahahaha! Come on now, your Highnesses! Is that all you can do?!" Maleficent taunted, getting on the nerves of the royal men good.

~With the queens~

While all of the other heroes and heroines were busy dealing with their own problems and battles, the legendary ladies were having their own as they stood before an unusual door. Like their children and husbands, they called out to them to see if any would respond back after running from the falling path. And as before, no one answered. The beautiful females were a bit nervous, being separated from their family again just after being reunited with them. Ariel, however, told them to just have faith that they were all alright and that they had to be strong. The former mermaid suggested going forward, and that is when they came to a stone door that had the insignia of a mirror. Snow White stated, "That picture… it looks a little like that mirror that my stepmother Queen Grimhilde used to have.". That got the queen wondering on why a picture of her stepmother's mirror would be doing in Maleficent's place since she knew that the two had not met before. As they approached the door, the symbol glowed a light, sick green color before it faded completely. This perplexed the ladies for a moment before Aurora and Belle took the opportunity to open the slab of stone.

Maleficent had passed a spell on the door; anyone or anything that was not bonded to any of the magical objects inside the room would be zapped with a curse that would make the poor victim sick with the deadliest of diseases for a month before it alleviated. The witch thought it delicious devious that the victim suffer, so she made sure said fool would not die but be afflicted for a month before the spell wore off. Obviously, she was a big fan of torture in any sort of way. In any case, the spell was turned off because of Ariel and Snow White's presence. The two had come into contact with two of the magical objects inside years ago, so their magical signature was still on them if only faint. It was enough to deactivate the spell, saving the queens from perhaps a fate worse than death.

When the door was open sufficiently enough, the legendary ladies entered the room and saw that it was full of various items. Aurora thought out loud, "What is this room? It looks like a hobby room my father made for his collection of armor and swords.". Indeed, there were stone shelves that had unusual items and such on it, each and every one having a mystic feeling to it. Cinderella felt something in the back of the large room, almost calling out to her. Snow White and Ariel felt the same pull as she did, and the trio followed their instincts. Belle and Aurora followed, wondering on what they were going to. In a few minutes, the five female rulers of their respective kingdoms came across a stone shelf that had four magical objects that seemed to radiate power! It was the same objects that Maleficent used to bring the eight monsters here from their universe! For some reason, each princess went to a different jewel. Cinderella and Ariel were drawn to Poseidon's Seahorse, Snow White stared at the Emerald Oak, Aurora was gazing upon the Eagle King gemstone, and Belle had her eyes locked on the Dwarves Tear.

The one thought that went through their minds was this, 'I feel drawn to this gem… it reminds me on the monsters… but how?'. Ariel and Snow White looked up, and gasped when they saw that near the objects, propped against a wall were two things that mattered to them greatly. The Rhoda queen saw the Magic Mirror, the same that belonged to her stepmother Grimhilde. She had not seen the mirror for the longest of time, but the image and memory of it came flying back to her, hitting her like Rodan's flying strike attack! Ariel saw that propped up close to the mirror was her father's trident, still warped and twisted the day Maleficent showed it to her several days ago. They left the gemstones to go to them and the princesses looked up from the magical objects to see what their friends were doing.

"The Magic Mirror… how is it here? I thought it was back at my stepmother's old castle back in Germany. Why is it here?" she asked out loud, and that is when the spirit of the mirror flared to life in its usual dramatic way! The ladies gasped and closed their eyes to protect them from the flash of fire light, and when they opened their eyes again… they found themselves face to face with the Spirit!

The grinning mask-like face looked at Snow White and stated, "The question you have asked, I will answer for you. The copy of Maleficent found me in your old home, and used me to bring about your doom.". This now intrigued the queens, for now they may have found the very thing that could answer many of their questions… and perhaps give them a clue on how to bring about Maleficent's defeat! The lovely and legendary ladies started to come up with the right questions to ask, and hopefully the Spirit would give them the answer that was key.

(Author's Notes: And… cut! I am stopping here for the moment! So, how did you all like this? I will only reveal this much for now; Springy is getting the process coming along for Rodan to transform into… Fire Rodan! Yes, the creature that appears in Godzilla vs. MechaGodzilla 2 movie! Just so you know, it's the beginning stage and Fire Rodan will not make an appearance until later on. Just trust me, I know what I am doing.

So, how did you like the fights? Trust me, next chapter is going to be INTENSE! So, if you were any of the heroes or heroines that were facing off against the villains, what would your first course of action be? And also, what do you think the famous Disney ladies should ask the Magic Mirror? One more thing: what do you think of the safety spells that Maleficent put on the doors?

R&R, no flames, enjoy and leave long reviews!)
