Monsters and Magic
By: DJ Rodriguez
(Author's Notes: Hi everyone! I am glad to those that reviewed, because they meant a lot to me! Even though they are few, it is more than enough for me to continue onward! We are nearing the end, but the climax of this novel is just rising! Prepare yourselves!
This chapter is all about the monster fights, the Toho Battle Brawl Extreme! Godzilla vs. Biolantte, brother against sister! Anguirus vs. Ebriah, lobster against mutated dinosaur! Mothra vs. Titanosaurus, divine moth against amphibious dinosaur! And finally, Rodan vs. Megalon, master of the skies vs. hybrid bug god of Seatopia! Place your bets! Also, you will see here some changes that Mothra and Rodan will undergo. For Rodan, its more physical. While for Mothra, one of her attacks will get a serious upgrade that can be seen in Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth!
The next chapter will feature the fight between the Disney characters, so for now… enjoy all monster fights, hopefully worthy of Toho! I would also take this time to extend my thanks and gratitude to my fans for their support and suggestions; Kearitona Sjachraelgil, Z-King, Kingdom Warrior, Darkness Rising, Japan Boy, and more! Thank you for your reviews, suggestions, and support! And one last reminder, Godzilla and the other monsters come from this time period according to Toho movie timeline. They come to the Disney universe shortly after Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah, but before Godzilla and Mothra: The Battle for Earth and Godzilla vs. Mecha-Godzilla 2. I checked the Toho timeline in order to make double sure.
I do not own Godzilla or any of the Toho monsters, nor do I own any of the Disney characters. I do own my own OC's, and most of the songs in this novel. When I use a song that is by another artist, I will give him or her their dues and credit. Now, on with the story!)
Chapter 33
The fighting in the sea was setting up to be intense, as four monsters were ready to fight the waters near the nearly destroyed palace-fortress of Maleficent. Ebriah was engaged in a battle against Anguirus, the best friend of Godzilla and a most fierce foe. Mothra was flying towards Titanosaurus, the red amphibian giant roaring and ready to take on the divine moth! The two groups gave each other wide girth, so neither could interfere with one another and also more room to maneuver in. On land, the King of the Monsters was closing in on his half-sister Biolantte, both ready to rumble! Rodan was in the air, circling above Megalon who was screeching out for the titanic pteranodon to come down close to fight. It seemed that the monsters knew to get far away from the others, so that their battle was just between the two of them. No interference whatsoever. It seemed that their battles that went on in their realm was now being transferred to the universe they were currently in.
~With Anguirus and Ebriah~
The mutated Ankylosaurs was in the water, swimming fast towards his foe. Ebriah let out a screech and charged towards Anguirus, the lobster more adapt in the sea then the spiked-shelled creature. When they met, a ferocious battle took place! Anguirus roared as he clamped his strong jaws on the right claw of Ebriah, latching on and refusing to let go. The enormous crustacean roared in anger and pain, and started to use his free claw to whack Anguirus on the head. The land animal clawed at his foe, still latched on and trying to gain some ground. Anguirus was a good swimmer and fighter, but he had chosen to enter Ebriah's natural domain and thus was a little at a disadvantage. The orange-red lobster kept on whacking at the head, the crown of spikes on the monster's head giving him some form of protection, but not that much. After a few minutes, Anguirus was forced to let go and retreat a distance. Ebriah took the moment of opportunity to dive underwater, showing his strength and skill to his foe. The best friend of Godzilla was now looking around, trying to see if he could spot his enemy.
The beast let out a shriek when it was grabbed by the legs and dragged underwater! Anguirus looked down to see that Ebriah had one of his hind legs in a solid grip with his left claw, and was dragging the spiked dinosaur down. The lobster was planning on drowning his opponent in the water, but Anguirus could hold his breath for quite a while in the ocean. Still, the spiked-shelled beast was not planning on staying underwater for too long. Ebriah tried to jab his claw into Anguirus's spiked carapace, but he found out the hard way that his shell was ultra-hard for a reason. He tried to crack it, grabbing the edges with both claws to see if he could damage the underside. But no matter how hard the lobster tried, he could not do any kind of damage to Anguirus's shell! The mutated dinosaur roared loudly in annoyance at his foe's failed attempts and turned around quickly to let out a claw strike! Unfortunately, Ebriah was forced to let go and quickly evaded the swipe but just barely. The lobster was a little more agile and quick then the spiked-shelled beast, and Anguirus knew that he had to put the situation back into his favor soon.
The battle was getting very heated up under the ocean, both titans striking with their claws and teeth, trying to gain an upper hand! Anguirus tried to bite through Ebriah's exoskeleton shell, and he managed to get a good dent in it before he was forced to release due to the lobster's claws poking him hard on his non-protective sides. The friend of Godzilla realized that although Ebriah's exoskeleton shell was very tough, it was flexible and thus had a bit more vulnerability to it then his own hard shell. The orange-red lobster retaliated with a body slam, trying to smother Anguirus with his own bulk. The bonded monster of Mainard and Belle Célestin roared in anger, causing much bubbles to rise from his mouth. He bit hard into Ebriah's underbelly, and that lobster shrieked in pain and anger before scuttling off. Anguirus rose back to the surface, getting a breath of fresh air into his lungs. Once he had spit up much seawater and gulped down enough air, he went back down to continue the pressure on Ebriah! The lobster was on the retreat, Anguirus doing more damage to him then he realized when he bit into his underbelly.
The mutated Ankylosaurs pursed his foe, not wanting for his enemy to escape his wrath! Ebriah turned around and launched a desperate offensive against Anguirus, trying to find some weak point in his foe. The lobster had fought Godzilla himself, and had done some damage to the saurian. But he did not have a very sturdy and hard shell protecting him. That is when something hit the monster's brain! He realized that Anguirus's shell was sturdy and strong, but also heavy. Ebriah took a risk and allowed his spiked-shelled foe to get in close to his face, and while Anguirus was clawing and biting at his front side, he grabbed and gripped the underside of the shell again. But this time, Ebriah heaved and used the water's less gravity to his advantage. With his strength, he heaved and flipped Anguirus! The friend of Godzilla roared in confusion as he was flipped in the water and sent onto his backside! He was now like a turtle that was on his shell, upside down and his vulnerable, unprotected belly exposed! He flailed around to try and get upright again, but Ebriah would not have any of it. He started to pound and jab at Anguirus with his claws, scuttling on his body to keep him pinned down.
Anguirus was at a serious disadvantage, and he knew it. His own breath would not last long, and he was pinned down by this behemoth crustacean! He roared and flailed his limbs and tail to try and get Ebriah off, but the lobster would not budge. The orange-red creature was enjoying this moment of triumph… but it did not last long when he saw something coming to his eyestalks. It was Flounder, along with Triton's daughters and Sonia! Arista exclaimed, "Hey big boy! Try this on for size!". Attina, Alana, Adella and Aquata took the left eyestalk while Flounder, Arista, Andrina, and Sonia took the right. They started to punch and tail-kick the red eyeballs with all their mighty and fury, and Ebriah screeched in annoyance as he tried to swat the annoying mermaids and fish away. Even though they were like flies were to a human, the daughters of Triton just evaded and resumed their attack! The mature beauties and the fish knew they had disobeyed their father/king's orders in not going near the action, but they saw what was now going on and wanted to help out Melody's friend. Pretty soon, their tactics work and Ebirah crawled off of Anguirus's underbelly to try and get away from this nuisances.
"Girls, Flounder! Our work here is done! Let's go!" Attina exclaimed before swimming off fast back to where their father was at, her sisters and brave Flounder following her lead. Ebriah screeched at them, but then he heard something behind him. He turned around to see a very livid Anguirus roaring at him before the spiked-shelled beast lunged fast! He grabbed Ebriah's left claw with his strong jaws, then used his fore claws to grab onto Ebriah's face, then swam up to the surface with his foe. When they both broke the surface, the two were struggling fiercely! Anguirus was trying to break off the claw, the same way that Godzilla did so many years ago when the two met in a rematch. However, the lobster knew this trick and was doing its best to try and make sure not to lose the claw. It took many months for both claws to grow back, and Ebriah to scavenge for food the hard way. The two were thrashing around in the water, and Anguirus saw something that might help him out. He looked over Ebriah's form to see that behind him was the partially destroyed palace-fortress of the human witch that reeked of evil and strange energy. He decided to go for broke!
Using his immense strength, and taking a deep breath, Anguirus released Ebriah and dove back underwater. Ebriah was confused on this, for he knew that his foe could not hope to survive another underwater battle. However, he was taken by surprise when the spiked-shelled monster LIFTED him up from the sea! Although he was not as physically strong as his friend Godzilla when it came to lifting heavy objects up, Anguirus knew he was strong enough to do this! The mutated Ankylosaurs hefted his enemy high above his head, the titanic lobster screeching in anger and a bit of fear from being hoisted out of his aquatic environment. Anguirus heaved as hard as he could, throwing the crustacean into the ruined structure! The lower half of the structure was destroyed upon impact, and the rest toppled down on the lobster! The spiked-shelled beast saw something jumping out from the earthen structure just before Ebriah hit, and he could have sworn it was the lizard-human who he defeated earlier when he was small, and with his bronze-skinned human ally. Putting the insignificant pest out from his mind, he jumped into the air and curled into a ball!
Ebriah was dazed, not expecting to be thrown into the structure that housed the strange human female that enraptured his will for some time. He struggled to get up, but when he did… he saw something descending down from above. He looked up and saw that it was his foe, all curled up into a spikeball! Ebriah tried to move out of the way, but he was very injured and the structure that he crashed into had rubble on his being that prevented him from moving much. He let out a loud screech just before impact, Anguirus landing smack on his head! Once Anguirus landed, he uncurled from his ball form and looked behind him to see that Ebriah was out cold completely. The blow to the head was sufficient enough to knock the lobster out! He had won! The friend of Godzilla let out a massive roar over his foe, showing to all that he was not to be underestimated at all! He gave his out cold enemy a stare before looking up and to the right, seeing Mothra about to finish her battle.
~With Mothra and Titanosaurus~
While Anguirus was dealing with Ebriah, at the same time the titanic moth was duking it out with the aquatic red dinosaur. Mothra screeched loudly, showing her opponent that she was not one to take lightly. Titanosaurus roared loudly, showing that it was ready to fight! The Twin Fairies were on Mothra's head, able to see the entire view and also be an extra set of eyes and ears for their massive friend. "Mothra, you can do this! Be brave and strong!" Moll and Lora said at the same time. The divine moth screeched before dive-bombing on the red creature, flapping her wings hard and strong as she engaged to close combat! Titanosaurus slashed with his clawed hands, trying to deliver some damage to his foe. Mothra's six forelegs on the bottom of her body were small but strong, and delivered some decent damage to the sea creature. Titanosaurus ducked his head to avoid the strikes, but it allowed the divine beast to go on its head! The once-pet project of Dr. Mafune screeched loudly and bat away the moth as best he could, and when she was finally off of his head, he tried for a bite to her left wing! Titanosaurus bit down hard, and Mothra let out a screech of pain and fury! She tried to wiggle free, stirring up much wind and water, but the amphibious dinosaur would not let go. The Twin Fairies advised Mothra to use her Ultra Soundwave technique, and the moth let loose twin pink beams of energy at Titanosaurus at point-blank range!
Titanosaurus had planned to rip the wing off of Mothra, but when he was hit by the twin beam attacks… he let go quick and was struggling violently now! The red dinosaur's weakness were supersonic waves, once discovered by INTERPOL when he first emerged back in his universe years ago. Sound waves that are created from fast moving objects that break the sound barrier, or focused and concentrated in sonar signals, disrupts the sonar waves that Titanosaurus creates to see and sense deep underwater. Any kind of supersonic waves sent all kinds of vibrations through his body that he did not like at all. Once Mothra was let go, she flew back up in the air to see that her foe was shuddering violently. She took this opportunity to attack again, this time from a distance. Once above the water and directly in front of a recovering Titanosaurus, Mothra flapped her wings hard to generate enough wind to rock the water and create huge waves! Her plan was to try and knock the dinosaur off his feet, and see where it went from there. The wind she was kicked up was enormous, and the amphibious dinosaur was being slammed by both wind and large waves! However, the red creature had a counter move.
The red beast let out a screech of fury, quickly unfolded the large sail on his tail, and turned around to wave it furiously back and forth at Mothra! He whipped up large waves of water, more so since he was in the sea. The huge splashes soaked Mothra a little, and the divine moth felt heavy. The water was soaking into her fur, and also adding more weight to the wings. She knew that if this continued, she would be water-logged and drop in the ocean, where she would be easy prey for Titanosaurus! Mothra squeaked loudly before taking to the air again, using the wind that was generated by Titanosaurus to get more into the sky. Moll suggested, "Stay in the air for a while, Mothra. Wait until your wings and body have dried off a little more.". The giant insect responded, flapping her wings greatly to increase the drying process. Titanosaurus saw that his foe did not like water, so decided to stay in the ocean. The Twin Fairies saw that this might be a stalemate, and the two beauties thought hard to see on how they could turn the tide to Mothra's favor. Lora stated that the problem was the water, and that they needed to get the creature out from the sea.
Suddenly, Moll had an idea! Her eyes widened and she whispered the plan to her sister. After hearing it, Lora agreed and said that her sister's plan might just work. The Twin Fairies then looked down at their massive friend/guardian and instructed, "Mothra, we have an idea! Please trust us, and do what we ask. First, we need you to use your Poison Powder on Titanosaurus. Try to see if it will work on him.". The divine beast gave out a loud squeak and flew towards the red amphibian monster. Titanosaurus roared again, preparing to jump and catch Mothra in mid-air! The dinosaur's legs were surprisingly strong, and could leap into the air with amazing air-time. He believed that Mothra was coming in for another close-quarters combat, but he was in for a surprise. The female moth was coming straight at the red behemoth, and that is when Titanosaurus leapt towards her! However, Mothra showed that despite her size, she was quite agile. She evaded the surprise pounce attack by Titanosaurus, if just barely, and the creature body-slammed into the water! That is when she made a quick turn around, and started to flap her wings hard. From each wing rained down golden scales, Mothra's special powder that had some remarkable properties. When used, it can paralyze the muscles of an opponent, making them immobile for a short time. It can also neutralize enemies that used energy attacks, such as Godzilla's Nuclear Death Breath!
Titanosaurus was roaring in anger, both at missing his target and now from not being able to move like he wanted. He tried to stand up, but the powder was already being absorbed into his body and he could not make his mental commands go to his limbs. While it seemed to be working, Mothra and the Twin Fairies noticed that only the backside and the head of Titanosaurus was affected. The rest of his body was still in the water, and the powder was washed away by the seawater. The red behemoth used some of his strength to roll in the seawater, thus washing away the poisonous powder. The divine beast and the mystical tiny women were only mildly surprised to see that their plan was a partial success. Lora looked at Mothra and stated, "Well, we know now that the powder works, if only when the opponent is not wet or in the water. Mothra, we are going to try something! After seeing our magical friends in action at the grove, I believe we can improve your poison powder technique.". The guardian monster of the other universe, squeaked, showing that she had the patience to wait for her retainers plans to unfold.
The amphibious dinosaur was angry, a moment ago being paralyzed and not being able to move was something he did not enjoy at all. He decided to stay in the water, and to try for his leaping body slam again when the opportunity presented itself. His gaze was locked onto Mothra, who was hovering midair. However, he became cautious when he saw the gigantic moth slowly circling around him, like a predator does when trying to see how to catch its prey. The dinosaur was on edge, and that made it even more angry. He was the alpha predator in the sea, and he was NOT used to be watched on in this kind of manner like he was prey! After enduring more of Mothra's slow circling hovering, he made another flying leap to hopefully catch her off guard! However, the guardian beast was again more agile and quick on reflexes then her size showed, evading the body slam again. Titanosaurus landed once again in the water, but it was more in the shallow end. That is when the Twin Fairies plan came into action! "Mothra, your poison powder… release it now!" they both exclaimed as they got into a prayer position and started to chant some of their mystic language. Mothra obeyed, and flew over Titanosaurus, and she unleashed her poisonous yellow powder. Only this time… it was different! The powder was now shimmering more like golden light then dust, and golden lighting was striking down from Mothra and nailing the red behemoth!
The Twin Fairies had gotten the idea from scenes they remembered from the past. When they used their mystic spell on the bullies almost two weeks ago when they intruded on Sanctuary, and also from seeing the magical works of the Three Good Fairies, Fairy Godmother Cateline, and Rosalie at the grove. They decided to enhance Mothra's poison powder, turning it more into a formidable, potent weapon. The guardian beast's powder now had the ability to reflect back most energy attacks back to the user, the golden dust acting as a reflective cage. It would still paralyze the opponent, but give Mothra more time to subdue the foe. In addition, the lighting strikes were of both Mothra's and the Twin Fairies own mystic powers, adding damage and strike certain nerves on the foe's body to induce quicker paralysis. Titanosaurus was roaring in anger and pain as he tried to rise up, trying to claw up at Mothra but was unable to do so due to her being high up. He would have jumped, but his legs would not respond like normal. The Twin Fairies plan had come to fruition, and it looks like their risk paid off!
The large divine moth flew to Titanosaurus's back, the reflective powder cage holding the creature just long enough to go to his back. Mothra grabbed the middle of his back with her legs, and started to lift! Titanosaurus thrashed a little as he was suddenly lifted into the air! It was slow, but anyone who saw this action would have had their jaws drop in awe at seeing a moth actually lift and carry a creature nearly twice its size! Mothra picked up Titanosaurus, and wondered what to do with her foe. She heard a loud crash, and turned to see that Anguirus had tossed Ebriah into the structure of the wicked human female that reeked of evil magic! When she then saw her ally use his spinning spikeball form to slam onto the lobster, knocking it out cold, she got an idea. She flew over to the downed mammoth crustacean, and when she was at a good enough height… dropped Titanosaurus like he was a bad habit! The red dinosaur screeched out in fury and fear when he was dropped from such a height, and landed on the form of Ebriah with such force that it knocked him out cold and the lobster as well even further! Titanosaurs then rolled off of him, destroying the rest of the palace-fortress, completely erasing it from existence.
Mothra squeaked out in victory, flapping her large wings to show that she was indeed happy for this win! Anguirus looked up to her and roared back, also pleased to see that his ally had won the battle. The Twin Fairies called out to him, "Thank you Anguirus. You have also shown that you are indeed a ferocious monster with a tenacity of spirit that is matched only by Godzilla himself!". That was a compliment, and the spiked-shelled beast took it as is. He and his bug ally then turned to see how their other comrades were doing.
~With Rodan and Megalon~
The massive pteranodon was in the skies, playing a dangerous game of Tag with the hybrid bug god of Seatopia. Rodan was showing his aerial skills to his foe Megalon, the massive insect taking to the skies to see if he could ground his enemy. While Megalon could indeed fly and hover in place thanks to his cockroach-like wings, he could not keep up in terms of pure speed with the pteranodon. Rodan was showing that he was indeed the master of the skies from his world, as he did some impressive maneuvering to avoid Megalon's Horn Lighting technique. The bug god was trying to slow down his foe by using his various ranged weapon attacks, such as the lighting from his huge horn or even firing his Napalm rock bombs at Rodan. However, the winged dinosaur showed that he was no slouch when it came to agility. He evaded the attacks, using his sixth sense to aid him in avoiding the powerful projectiles. This lasted for about several minutes until Rodan felt it was time to go on the offensive. He did a somersault, going under Megalon, who screeched in surprise by the maneuver, and got behind the hybrid bug! Once he was behind his foe, Rodan swooped down and delivered a double kick with his feet that sent Megalon crashing down to the ground! Rodan let out a screech of accomplishment, very much glad that he delivered such a blow to his foe.
However, Megalon showed that he was no deity to be underestimated! He rose up from the ground, screeching out in rage from the attack Rodan delivered to him, and fired off multiple lighting blasts at the pteranodon from his horn! Rodan evaded the attacks, but this time it was more difficult. Why it was so was due to the fact that Megalon was now on the ground, where he was more at home at then the sky. The guardian of the sea kingdom in his own universe could concentrate more effectively and quickly then he could in the air, firing off bolts of lightning that was similar to how the trident fired its magical electrical beams. Some managed to graze Rodan's wing, causing burn marks to appear and the pteranodon roaring in pain from the burn. What neither them, or anyone else be they monster or human, knew was that Rodan's body was still going through changes thanks in part to two elements. The first element was being around magic, and the strange energy of this world was mixing with his radioactive body and forcing the body to undergo changes. The second element was his fight against Springy when he was human-sized. He had to endure several powerful fire attacks from the transformed human, and thus was triggering the change more rapidly in his body. He was resistant to most fire-based attacks due to living all these years in active volcanoes, but Rodan's DNA was mixing with magic and the magic told the body structure that it was time to evolve, so to speak.
When Megalon sensed that his foe was slowing down due to the burns, he decided to change tactics. He fired off one of his red napalm rock bombs, but it was ahead of Rodan, missing him completely. The flying dinosaur thought that his foe's eyes were damaged so that he could not see where he was aiming his projectiles. However, it was Rodan that underestimated Megalon's intelligence and he was about to pay the price. The large red rock projectile suddenly erupted right under the pteranodon! Rodan let out a roar of pain and confusion as he was tossed and tumbled into the sky due to the shockwave blast. He lost his balance and control, soon coming down hard on the ground! He landed on his back, a bit of a ways from Megalon. The bug seemed to laugh to himself as his torso rose up and down, showing that he could definatly show his emotions and such like a human. The massive cockroach/rhinoceros beetle hybrid clanged his drill hands together as he stalked over to the fallen Rodan, ready to deliver some pain to the ground flying dinosaur.
Rodan was stunned and hurt, a bit dizzy from the shockwave blast from the red rock bomb. He looked up to see Megalon coming towards him, and he realized that he was on his back. He flapped his wings strongly to get up, but his body was still in recovery from the blast he took. Megalon was forced back by the whipping winds, screeching as he could not get near Rodan right now to use his drill claws. The massive flying dinosaur managed to right himself up, but he felt that his wings were greatly injured from the fall. So now, he was on footing with his foe who was slightly taller then him. The two stood in front of one another, sizing each other up to see how they could attack. After a few moments, Megalon decided to take the physical approach! He charged in as fast as he could, his drill hands up and ready to gore into Rodan! The titanic flier retaliated with a left wing swipe at the hybrid bug's head, hitting Megalon in the head and forcing him to retreat a step or two back. Rodan screeched loudly, showing that even though he was grounded for now, he would put up a good fight! The guardian god of Seatopia came in again, showing that he was quick despite his size and jabbed Rodan in the chest good with a right thrust move!
Rodan was pushed back a few steps, the flying dinosaur roaring in pain from the thrust. The organic metal on Megalon's arms were really something, strong like steel yet lightweight to use for the bug. Megalon went in to get in some more hits, but although he could not fly yet, Rodan could hover. He flapped his wings a little to get off the ground, and came at Megalon's face pecking and poking hard! The two were now in a close combat, the bug god jabbing and thrusting with his drill arms while the pteranodon pecked and poked hard with his beak at his face! Rodan also used his wings and feet, delivering kicks with his short but strong legs plus using his wings as fans to hit Megalon. This lasted for a few moments, when Megalon decided that it was time to end this. He was pushed back by Rodan, and the flying master saw that his foe's horn was glowing again. It indicated he was going to use a lightning bolt attack, and at this range… it was going to hit full, and it was going to be a devastating blow. Rodan felt his wings now back at full strength and took to the air a split second after Megalon unleashed his attack! The lighting struck the spot where Rodan was, but the master of the skies was now back in his element! He escaped just in time. The pteranodon was circling overhead, thinking of his next move to use on his foe.
Megalon screeched, carefully eyeing Rodan as he circled him. The pteranodon knew that close combat was very risky, and also he did not have projectile attacks like his enemy did. He was thinking hard on how to defeat Megalon, then something came to him! He did have a weapon, one that no being could see until it was too late. He let out a screech and flew back high in the sky, and actually away from Megalon! The sea god guardian of Seatopia was now curious, wondering why his foe was fleeing. He thought he was retreating, but that made little to no sense to him. He kept his large, yellow insect eyes on Rodan, trying to figure out on what he was doing. When he got enough distance, Rodan made a swift U-turn and started to fly fast and furious towards his foe! Megalon braced himself, now believing that his enemy was building up speed for a strong tackle takedown. However, upon further inspection when the flying dinosaur was getting close, the bug saw that Rodan was at a slightly higher altitude. He was going to fly over him, which again made no sense. However, Megalon felt that something was off when he heard a shrieking like sound coming up behind Rodan. He let out a screech on what he soon realized; Rodan was not retreating or losing his senses, he was building up speed to let loose his trademark attack… the Mach 5 Sonic Boom! However, it was too little, too late for the enemy of humanity. As soon as Rodan passed over him, he broke the sound barrier at exactly the right time and moment to unleash a sound blast that knocked Megalon completely off his feet and sending him flying a little, landing hard on his back!
Rodan screeched in victory, glad his tactic worked. He flew up and around to make a pass, looking down to see that his foe was on his back and in pain. The pteranodon decided to finish this fight once and for all. He swooped down and landed on near Megalon, the hybrid bug deity screeching in pain from the attack. Rodan then jumped and landed on his chest, using his talons to get a good grip before flapping his wings and taking Megalon with him to the sky! The flying master knew that if he tried to grip Megalon's back wings, the chances of it opening were great and thus he would lose his prize. That is why he flipped him over and grabbed his chest area with his talons. Rodan rose high into the air, showing his strength as he carried his enemy did like his prehistoric ancestors did in eons long past. Megalon screeched and thrashed around, trying to get free. But it was no use, the sonic boom burst had rendered him a little dizzy and thus unable to focus any of his projectile attacks at his foe. Rodan took his opponent up as high as he could, then flew towards the place where the fallen Ebriah and Titanosaurus was at. He flew at an angle, using gravity to help him go down faster! Megalon could only screech in vain as he realized that Rodan was going to drop him hard near his own allies! When he built enough speed, Rodan let go and dropped Megalon at high speed right into the ground! The hybrid bug monster hit the ground hard, tumbling and rolling until he hit the pile of monsters. Megalon was weak and still conscious, but that was remedied when Mothra sprinkled more of her poison powder over him. The mystical golden scales covered the formidable foe, then paralyzed him and caused him to be knocked out cold.
Rodan had won! He let out a huge screech of victory as he landed near his allies, flapping his wings and showing that he was a monster to be respected. Anguirus roared at him, acknowledging Rodan's victory and strength. Mothra did the same, flapping her wings and squeaking out loud. Even the Twin Fairies showed respect to their ally/rival. The pteranodon was proud of his accomplishment, then all turned to see the battle between Godzilla and Biolantte.
~Godzilla and Biolantte~
The King of the Monsters was stalking towards his huge half-sister, the mix of nature and science. Godzilla looked at his foe, and even though Biolantte was technically his little sister… she was anything but! She towered over Godzilla, almost the same height as that three-headed golden dragon he fought earlier back in his universe. Her maw was huge, crocodile-like and had rows of razor sharp teeth, both on the roof and bottom of her mouth as well as aligned on the jawline! He had also gotten the message from the two small human ladies that smelled of the energy they called magic, the Three Good Fairies if he recalled, that he needed to defeat Biolantte… but not use his nuclear blue flames. Well, he loved a challenge and this was as challenging as one could get! Godzilla was close to his target, but was soon forced to back off due to Biolantte's living tentacles. The saurian also had to watch his step, as the Venus Flytrap-like maws could spray out an acidic sap that could really do some damage. The half-Godzilla, half-plant being did just that, using her tentacles to spray the green sap acid that could melt almost anything!
Godzilla had to jump to the right to avoid the green goo, and saw it melt a good section of the forest they were fighting in. The green-skinned former dinosaur growled, trying to come up with a way to take care of the vines but not use his breath. After a few moments of thinking, the saurian decided to just charge right in and take his chances! Biolantte let out her strange, unique roar as she saw her half-brother closing in for some close-quarter combat. She was puzzled as she was greatly resistant to physical attacks, not only due to her immense size, but because she was part plant. The huge vines and mass of plants that made up her body were greatly resistant to physical assaults, and thus gave her more endurance. She had some of her vines wrap around Godzilla like snakes, closing tight around him and trying to put the squeeze on the saurian. The King of the Monsters roared loudly in both pain and anger as he was squeezed tight by the vines, but he was not going to give up! He managed to grab one of the tentacle vines with his teeth and chomped down hard, breaking through the thick vine and spitting out the part due to the green blood that was running through it and Biolantte. He roared loudly as he felt one of the vines loosen up considerably, and it was enough for his right arm to wiggle free! Godzilla grabbed the head of the other vine that was trying to squeeze him tighter, and bit off the head before it could shoot its acidic sap at him! Biolantte pulled her damaged parts off and away from Godzilla. They would regenerate, but it would take time.
Godzilla closed in again, and this time managed to reach his half-sister's immense bulk! He could see that deep within the vine-covered mass was Biolantte's beating heart, and he knew that he would have to quiet it down but without killing her and using his flames. He tried to claw and bite his way through the thick foliage, but Biolantte would not have it! She let out a screech and brought her head down hard on Godzilla, bopping her half-brother with the bottom of her gigantic bottom jaw! Godzilla grunted, stunned a bit by the attack and releasing his sight on Biolantte's heart area. The titanic half-animal/half-plant creature then opened her jaw wide to bite down around Godzilla's head! The King of the Monsters felt and saw the mouth opening up and closing around his head, but he would not allow Biolantte to win like this! He struggled free, and he managed to do so, but his face now was covered in scrapes and slashes due from the razor-sharp teeth that were in Biolantte's mouth. He did not worry, as he felt his healing ability starting to work on the scratches. In a few hours, it would be as if they were not even there.
Biolantte let out another loud, unique roar as she decided to smother Godzilla by running over him! She was going to force her bulk on the saurian, in a strange kind of body slam that would smother him out. The bonded monster of Tracy, Cinderella, Ariel and Melody let out a shriek of rage as he was tripped by two of the vine tentacles. He landed hard on his back, and that is when the plant monster started to crawl over him! Biolantte was on top of his tail, and making her way slowly to the head, her body pressing down hard on her half-brother. Godzilla thrashed and roared/shrieked in rage and anger, trying to get out of his half-sister's bulk! Biolantte was halfway there, her heavy bottom half now to his chest area. Godzilla decided to take a chance and fire his blue Nuclear Death Breath to try and force her off, knowing his fire would make her flinch and hopefully retreat. Alas, it seemed that Biolantte was one step ahead. She summoned her vines and they wrapped around Godzilla's maw, forcing it closed before he could fire off his infamous blue flames. Godzilla continued to struggle, trying to release the nuclear energy that was building up inside of him. Biolantte was almost to his head, her bulk on his neck, when something unexpected happened. She should have remembered this, since he first used it on her the first time they met. However, it was too little, too late. Godzilla's body started to glow and flash blue, then in a brilliant pulsing action… blue nuclear energy shot out from all around his form and blew Biolantte off of him! He had done his second infamous technique, the Nuclear Pulse Blast!
Back in his universe, when he faced Biolantte the first time around, Godzilla learned that he could harness his immense nuclear power in another way besides with his mouth. When something blocked the flow of his power from being released from his mouth, his body would build up and try to contain the radiation energy. Since his skin was like that of a tree instead of scales like a reptile, it had pores… and the energy could be released through said pores at once! It would create a pulse of nuclear energy that would spread out quickly, blowing off any enemy that was latched onto him. It was a defensive move that was extremely effective. Godzilla got back to his feet and roared loudly, facing Biolantte as she started to get back to her feet/roots. The saurian saw that she was stunned, and he took his chance to go in and finish the job! He went to her head and started to whale on it, using his clawed hands to pound on Biolantte's head, and also using his feet to kick and stomp at her as well! He turned around and used his tail to smack down on her reptile head, Biolantte crying out in pain and agitation from her half-brother's attacks. One of the tentacle vines swiped at him, causing him to trip once more and allowing the half-animal/half-plant beast to come straight back up on her original stance. She turned to Godzilla and roared loudly, the saurian returning the gesture as he got back up.
Godzilla leaped at his half-sister, surprising her slightly with this form of attack. He launched at her heart area, and started to pound away again with his claws and bites! Biolantte was about to use her head again to try and get Godzilla off… but something happened that the saurian would remember for a good long while. Biolantte froze in mid-attack, and Godzilla looked up and behind the back of her head to see a white glow coming from the area. He squinted, and saw that a human spirit was pointing her hands that were clasped together and looked to be concentrating very hard. It was Erica Shiragami, the daughter Genshiro Shiragami, the one who fused his daughter's spirit with Biolantte in the first place! The beautiful Japanese woman was doing her best to hold the monster's head in place, concentrating so much that her spirit manifested outside for Godzilla to see. She shouted out, "GODZILLA! STRIKE WHILE YOU CAN! I CAN BARELY HOLD HER… STRIKE HER PLEASE, MY… MY BROTHER!". The King of the Monsters understood what she said, and was a little puzzled on why the human female would call him brother, whatever that meant, but he let out a roar of thanks and struck hard! One of his claws came down hard, making it through the mess of vines and striking the large, beating heart! Biolantte let out a shriek of pain, the heart now beating faster. Godzilla brought down another punch, and struck again! This time, the heart beat faster and Biolantte was struggling violently! Erica vanished, letting out a sigh as she disappeared quickly, going back into the monster's mind. The titanic plant creature was thrashing, trying to stop the pain that was flowing through her being.
Godzilla roared and swung his long tail with all his might! He knocked Biolantte in the head, and that seemed to do it. His half-sister groaned softly, her heart beating faster and soon… her head flopped down and her heart started to slow down now. It would appear that the King of the Monsters managed to give the monster a heart attack, something very alien to herself. Now, she was out-cold and just standing there. Even her vine tentacles were limp, not moving and Biolantte breathing lightly. Godzilla looked at his foe for a while, and when he saw that she was down for the count… he let out his famous roar that shook the land! He had won, and without using his flame attack too! The saurian had overcome a difficult challenge, and showed to all why he was considered the King of the Monsters! After his victory roar, he turned to see Rodan, Anguirus and Mothra coming to them. Normally, he would be ready for a fight. But now, he considered them allies for the moment and lowered his guard. Anguirus roared to him, acknowledging Godzilla's victory. Rodan did the same, as did Mothra. The three monsters were also impressed that the saurian managed to defeat something like Biolantte without using his infamous blue breath. The Twin Fairies would talk to Godzilla later on Erica, the mystical tiny women seeing her appear and disappear.
The King of the Monsters nodded towards them, then looked to where the battle was at, seeing their human allies fighting against the forces that reeked of dark magic. They went to see on how it was going on, leaving Biolantte and the other fallen monsters where they were.
(Author's Notes: So, how did you like this? I REALLY hoped to have followed Toho tradition and gave you a fight worthy of said company! I did my best to show all of the monster's strengths and weaknesses against one another, and to also to show to all of you that there is more the monsters in battle then meets the eye.
Also, how did you like Godzilla's Nuclear Pulse Blast? I believe that not even the Millennium Godzilla can do this! I saw that the 90's version of Godzilla can do this in the movies, and it IS a rather effective defense move. The pulse also had the added effect of stunning Biolantte's heart, which caused her to experience a heart attack in the first place.
Now, please tell me. What did you think of the battles? Which parts did you like? What did you think of Ariel's sisters and Flounder helping out? And what do you think of the upgrade that Mothra got to her poison powder move? And finally, what did you think of Erica coming out and helping Godzilla like she did?
Next chapter, it's the heroes and heroines vs the forces of evil and Maleficent! It's going to be big, long… and have surprises that I hope will leave you speechless and your jaws hanging open! In a good way, of course.
R&R, no flames, enjoy, and leave LONG reviews!)
