Supernatural

"Alright, Freddie, is the green screen ready to go?" Carly asked anxiously as she scurried around the iCarly studio, double-checking everything.

"Yes, Carly, for the fifth time, it's all set," Freddie said, fiddling with his camera.

"Sorry," Carly said. "I'm just nervous. Our first web show back in six years…pretty huge."

"I know, but everybody seems excited for it," Freddie said. "You know how many emails I've gotten since we've announce we were doing this?"

"I just hope everything goes okay," Carly sighed as Sam and Gibby walked into the studio.

"Hey, did you finish programming my remote, baby?" Sam asked Freddie.

"Yup," Freddie said, tossing her the blue remote from his tech cart. "All set with the new sound effects."

"Sweet," Sam grinned, giving him a quick kiss.

"Hey, how much longer till the show starts?" Gibby asked, beginning to pull his duck costume on over his clothes.

"Fifteen minutes," Freddie replied. "Hey, did you guys make sure Spencer was ready with sculptures he's gonna show?"

"Nah, I was too busy eating all his fruit kabobs down there," Sam replied.

"Sam," Carly said, rolling her eyes. "We need to make sure he's ready to have them up here when the show starts. Go back down and check!"

"Alright, alright," Sam said. "Jeez…I forgot how wazzed off you get before shows."

"I am not wazzed!" Carly defended.

"Yeah you are, your eye's twitching," Sam grinned over her shoulder as she left the studio.

"My eye isn't twitching…is it?" Carly frowned.

"Hey, Guppy's old therapist gave him some tricks to get rid of eye twitches," Gibby said. "You should try them."

"Gibby!" Carly snapped.

She turned back to Freddie, who was still fiddling with his camera, though Carly could tell he was distracted.

"What about you?" she said softly. "Are you ready for, well, you know?"

Freddie took a deep breath as he nodded. "I've been ready for this for a long time…I just hope Sam feels the same way."

"She does," Carly assured him. "She loves you like crazy."

"I know, but-but what if something goes wrong?"

"It won't," Carly said. "I mean we've been planning this for weeks."

"We've been planning this web show for weeks too, and you're still freaking out," Freddie pointed out.

"Yeah, well, I'm just wazzed out as your girlfriend and future fiancé pointed out," Carly smirked. "You're gonna be fine. You know what your going to say, we all know what we're doing…you did remember the ring, right?"

Freddie chuckled as he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small velvet box.

"I remembered," he said, opening the box to reveal a beautiful sparkling engagement ring.

"Freddie it's perfect," Carly said, feeling her eyes growing wet. "Oh…and now I'm crying!"

"Why are you crying?" Gibby asked as he came over to look at the ring as well. "You're not the one about to marry Freddie."

"Thanks, Gib," Freddie said, rolling his eyes.

"Our two best friends are going to get married!" Carly said, wiping her eyes. "Isn't that just the sweetest thing you've ever heard? There's going to be a wedding and-and they're gonna be husband and wife and they're gonna have little babies soon and-"

"Carly, she hasn't even said yes yet," Freddie reminded her, putting the ring back in his pocket. He turned to Gibby. "So you both know the plan, right? Gib, you haven't said anything to Sam?"

"Nope," Gibby said. "I told you I could keep this a secret."

"I promise, Freddie, this is going to be the happiest moment of your life so far," Freddie said. "Sam's going to say yes, I can guarantee-"

"Alright, Spencer's loading his sculptures up into the elevator now," Sam announced, coming back in to the room, and Carly quickly shut her mouth.

"Great!" Freddie said quickly, trying to act natural.

"So after our little intro, we're gonna do our fake movie trailer, right?" Sam asked. "And then we're showing that video of the guy playing the violin underwater and Gibby's gonna do his supernatural duck bit?"

"Yup," Carly nodded. "You've got it."

"Hey, even after six years, Mama still knows what she's doing," Sam said as she put her arms around Freddie's neck and leaned up to give him a kiss.

"What was that for?" Freddie smiled.

Sam shrugged. "What? Since when do I need a reason to kiss you, nub?"

"Gross," Gibby cringed, earning him a swift punch in the arm by Sam.

"Alright, let's just get ready to start!" Carly said quickly as Gibby let out a cry of pain. "We all set, Freddie?"

"Yup," Freddie said, taking a deep breath as he picked up his camera while Carly, Sam and Gibby took their positions.

"In five, four, three two…" he counted down.

And the show began.

…..

As Freddie stood by his tech cart, watching the girls and Gibby perform various old skits and bits from back when they were in high school, he couldn't help but smile.

iCarly had been such a huge part of their lives. For five years they had all bonded over the web show, bringing them closer than they would've imagined.

That's why he wanted to propose to Sam on iCarly. Without iCarly, he didn't know where the two of them would be now. They went from being enemies, to frienimies, to best friends, to a couple because of the show. If they had never come up with the idea for it, would him and Sam have been together for the past six years? Or would they have just stayed the two stubborn teens who only hung around each other because they shared a mutual friend?

He didn't have the answer, but that didn't matter. What mattered was that they had wound up together and even six years after the last official iCarly web show had been finished, they still loved each other more than ever.

Freddie glanced at the time on his laptop screen, feeling his heart beating out of his chest.

In just a few moments it would be time…

"-And that's how you scare a mailman half to death!" Sam said loudly as they finished showing a clip an old viewer had sent in.

"Let's hope he gets well soon, or the few things that people actually still send in the mail will never be delivered!" Carly said cheerfully.

"Alright, well, that was the last thing we had for you guys on this special reunion web show!" Sam said, pressing the 'boo' button on her remote. "So maybe we'll see you all in another six years and-"

"We're not quite done, yet," Carly cut her off, casting a quick glance over at Freddie as Gibby pulled a chair into the middle of the room. "We still have one last thing."

"Um…I thought the mailman clip was the last thing," Sam whispered awkwardly to Carly. "When did we add more?"

"Get out here, Freddie, time for you to get some screen time!" Carly said as Gibby took Freddie's camera from him.

"Good luck, dude," Gibby whispered.

"Thanks," Freddie said shakily as he stepped out in front of the camera.

"What's going on?" Sam asked curiously.

But Carly didn't answer. She just gave her best friend an excited smile before hurrying off to stand next to Gibby.

"Um…hi," Freddie said nervously to the camera. "Er, well…as-as many of you know, when we ended iCarly six years ago to go off to college and get started with our lives, Sam and I were-were a couple. And we still are. I love her so much, even after all these years. She's the single most important person in my life and I don't know what I would do without her."

"Freddie…" Sam said softly, her blue eyes wide with questioning. "What-What are you doing."

"I love you, Sam," Freddie said, now speaking directly to her.

Sam looked over at the video screen above them and noticed that old pictures of her and Freddie from the original days of iCarly were now being shown.

"I love you too," Sam said. "But why are-"

"When iCarly began back when we were thirteen years old, if someone had told me I'd wind up falling in love with the crazy, unpredictable Sam Puckett, I would've had a heart attack."
Sam could help but laugh.

"But as time went on, I realized that it was that craziness and unpredictability that I-I actually loved about you," Freddie continued. "And then I realized I loved everything about you. You are the first person I think about when I wake up in the morning and every night when we go to sleep, I'm lucky enough to see you in my dreams too. These past years, with and without doing iCarly, have been amazing. I don't know what I ever did to deserve such a perfect girl, but all I know is that I must've done something right."
Freddie could see a few tears forming in the corner of Sam's eyes, and he smiled as he thought about how Sam would probably kill him later for making her cry live on the Internet.

"And when I think about the future," Freddie went on, his heart now racing out of his chest. "You're always in it, baby. You're my future. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I want to start a family with you and stay up all night taking care of our children and cry with you when they go off on their own, and I want to grow old with you. But most of all I want to get to tell you I love you each and every day of our lives. Because there won't ever be a day when it's not true."
And with that, he slowly lowered himself onto one knee and Sam covered her mouth, letting out a soft gasp.

Freddie reached into his pocket and pulled out the velvet box.

"Samantha Joy Puckett," he said, staring straight into her eyes. "Will you marry me?"

In the background Carly squealed and Gibby sniffed as he wiped his eyes, but Freddie didn't hear any of that. All his focus was on Sam as she stared down at the ring.

For a moment she was silent, and Freddie was beginning to panic.

But then Sam lowered her hand, revealing the biggest grin Freddie had ever seen on her.

"Y-Yes," she choked out. "Yes, I-I'll marry you!"

Carly and Gibby began to clap and cheer, and Freddie quickly slid the ring onto her finger before helping her to her feet and leaning down to kiss her passionately.

The two could've stayed that way for hours, but after a few minutes, Carly cleared her throat, snapping the couple out of their daze.

"As much as I hate to interrupt this moment, there are children watching," she said.

"Oh, right," Freddie said, though not really caring.

Carly smiled at the newly engaged couple as she stepped out in front of the camera.

"And we are clear," she said, and Gibby turned off the camera.

"Congratulations, you guys!" Carly exclaimed, running over to her friends and putting her arms around both of them. "I told you, Freddie! I told you she'd say yes!"

"Man, I don't think I cried this much since Stephanie and Billy got together on Days of Our Lives," Gibby sniffed.

"Wait, you guys knew?" Sam said, looking at Carly and Gibby. "And you both managed to keep it a secret? You are the two worst people to tell a secret to!"

"Well this was important," Carly said, rolling her eyes. "We weren't going to blow this."

"Yeah, when it comes to true love, Gibbys don't mess around," Gibby said. "Hey, now that the reunion show is over, why don't we all go out for dinner to celebrate? I'm finally allowed back in that sushi restaurant."

"Gib," Carly chuckled. "Sam and Freddie just got engaged. They don't want to go out right now. They want to, you know, spend some time together. Alone."

"Why?" Gibby asked, oblivious.

"Um…we'll let you field this one, Carls," Freddie said, taking Sam's hand. He leaned down and gave Sam another kiss. "Let's get out of here, baby."

"Nice thinking," Sam beamed, looking down at her ring again.

"Thanks for all your help tonight, guys!" Freddie called as Sam began to lead him out of the studio. "And we'll go out and celebrate tomorrow, Gib."

"What, do they have an appointment or something?" Gibby frowned.

"Aw Gibby," Carly sighed, shaking her head.
