"She agreed."
"She really did."
"Yeah. She really did." Natsume thought over and over again, not able to get over the fact of Mikan's call.
The Natsume Hyuuga was smiling, no, grinning because he was happy and overjoyed by the turn of events. He just couldn't keep himself in. A little out of the character reaction from the main guy.
But he had to remind himself, why she agreed. "Natsume, it is because of your son, remember that."
Just as he was relaxing and enjoying the moment of good news, his secretary came in.
"Sama, your aunt Keito-sama is here." She announced, looking rather perplexed by Natsume's sudden furious face.
Natsume could not utter a word back to his secretary. "Huh? What is she doing here?"
Before he could even say anything, his aunt came in, looking quite elegant and exquisite as she glanced and roamed around his office. Natsume just stayed still on his seat and followed her with his eyes.
She stopped in front of Natsume's desk and looked at him with a smile, "Natsume. I can see the company has been doing quite well." As she took a seat across him, the smile still present.
"What are you doing here?" Natsume asked strongly. "I thought we agreed not to see each other ever."
"Why Natsume? Can't your aunt visit his little nephew?" Keito replied, a smile still plastered on her face and that irritated Natsume more.
"That's all you've got to say. After you let me…" He stood up with his fists on the desk, trying to keep his anger in.
"Come on, Natsume." She waved off. "That was all in the past. I think it's time to move pass that."
Natsume calmed down and sat back again. He smirked. "Past? You destroyed one thing that was precious to me." He looked at her straight in the eye, his hand curled up.
"Don't look so angry." She looked away, feeling a little uncomfortable by his stare. "But that's not the reason I'm here. Your grandma is here. I think she wants to stay here." She told him, her eyes landing on Natsume's plaques on the wall.
"Grandma? What do you mean stay here? For how long?" Natsume questioned, curiously. It has been sometime since he last saw her. His grandmother was the closest he could ever have to family ever since his parents passed away.
"You know how old people are. She's tired from the trip so she just went to the mansion to rest." Now looking at the miniature car collection.
"Here, in Japan." She looked at him again. "How long? She didn't say. I guess you should go see and ask her." Keito started to get up as she fixed her dress.
"Ahhh, I almost forgot," she turned around to face Natsume. "Your grandma said she wanted to see…" she paused, acting like she was thinking deeply.
"What was the name again?" Asking herself. "Oh. Mikan Sakura, was it?" She smiled and walked out the door.
There was this festival at the university that most students eagerly participated in especially since it begins just right after exams are over. Mikan, being the outgoing and cheerful girl that she is, wanted to go to. And of course, she had begged and annoyed her boyfriend, Natsume Hyuuga to attend with her and him, not being able to say no to her, agreed.
So what makes this festival very special was probably because he is going to attend it for the first time.
"Hotaru! Hotaru!" A beautiful brunette shouted, running toward her bestfriend who was busy with her camera.
"WHAT?!" she faced her, angry that she had to disturb her as she was in the moment to take a perfect shot.
"Ne, have you seen Natsume?" She grinned, happily not minding the tone her bestfriend used because she's used to it anyway.
"Why are you asking me? Is he my boyfriend?" Hotaru replied, raising an eyebrow and went back to her camera, ignoring Mikan completely this time.
"Hotaru's so mean." Mikan said pouting. "But anyway, thank you." She added and then started walking away to look for Natsume who promised that he would come.
"Where is he?" She walked around, looking form him along the way. "He said that he'll come today. If he lied, I would really get mad at him." She thought, a pout evident on her lips.
She continued walking, a little more slowly now, disappointed and frustrated because she really was looking forward to spend the day with Natsume at the festival. It's a date after the busy week they had that they hardly had time to even see each other.
She sighed loudly.
"Are you looking for me?" A familiar voice said from behind her. She stopped walking and a smile painted on her face.
She turned around and there he was the person she was anticipating and looking for. "Natsume" she called him happily. So, he didn't ditched her and kept his promise. The day is all good.
She was smiling at him but soon after, it turned to a confused look. "What?!" She asked him, as he had a smirk on his face.
"Hmm? Nothing. Nothing." He said, not really giving an answer as he took her hand in his.
He started walking but Mikan just stayed still, not wanting to move unless he gives her a proper answer. Childish? Yes, but it always works with Natsume.
"Okay" Natsume gave up. See? It always works. "I just found it amusing, your face when you were walking." He smiled at her this time.
"Really? How long were you following me?" Mikan asked, realizing that the reason he couldn't find him easily was because he was tailing her.
"From the time you left Hotaru." He simply answered. Taking Mikan's both hands to his.
"And you let me walk around tirelessly?"
"It's always fun teasing you." He shrugged and gave her hand a small kiss.
Mikan smiled. She had always loved how Natsume can be sweet and unbearable at the same time. He always made sure that she knew how important she was to him.
"Natsume-sama" fan girls around started screaming.
"He came" a fan girl said.
"My festival day is complete." Another fan girl said.
"Tch. When will they get tired? So annoying." Natsume said dragging Mikan out of the crowd. It was supposed to be their moment and Natsume hated how fan girls constantly destroy their dates.
"Ouch. That hurts." Mikan commented rubbing her right wrist after they got out.
"They are really so annoying even though they know I already have a girlfriend." He sat down on the bench. "Stupid fan girls. That's why I hate coming to festivals." Natsume frustratingly added.
"Come on, Natsume." Mikan sat down beside him. "It won't be so bad, we're going to have fun. I promise." She said trying to cheer him up, completely forgetting the pain in her wrist.
"Natsume" an old woman called. Natsume and Mikan turned to see who it was.
Natsume got up and approached the newcomer. "Grandma, what brought you here?"
"Grandma? Natsume's grandmother? It's the first I ever met her." She thought anxiously.
Mikan stayed where she was, not knowing what to do since she has never met any of Natsume's family.
"Natsume, I went to the house and heard that you were here. I was shocked at first when I heard it because my grandson hates festivals." His grandma said, smiling. Then she noticed Mikan who was quietly sitting behind Natsume.
"Oh, who is this pretty girl?" She asked Natsume. "Is she the one who probably convinced my grandson to come here?" she added, a teasing grin playing on her lips.
"Grandma, she is my girlfriend, Mikan Sakura." Natsume said as he took Mikan to his side. "Mikan, this is my grandmother."
"Hi. Nice to meet you." Mikan greeted bowing her head.
"It is my pleasure to meet you, Sakura-san." She said taking Mikan's hand. She never would have thought that her grandson had found such a lovely young lady and someone who can talk to him in to come to such happy and crowded events.
"Mikan is fine." Mikan looked up and smiled, genuinely. Her anxiety fading slowly as she realized that Natsume's grandmother wasn't so scary after all. "Would you like to take a sit here?" She assisted as they sat down.
"I'll get some drinks." Natsume said and walked away, leaving Mikan alone with his grandma.
"I can't believe someone is finally able to handle his attitude." His grandmother chuckled.
"Well, it's true he has his attitude but I think that is what makes him Natsume."
"Does he take care of you well?"
"Yes. He does." Mikan answered quickly. "I mean, he may not look like it but he is really a thoughtful guy."
"Yes. He is." His grandmother nodded, agreeing with Mikan.
After a few minutes, Natsume arrived with the drinks and sat down beside them. He just sat quietly as he listened to Mikan and his grandma talk about school, festivals, and of course, him.
What seemed like an hour, Mikan and his grandmother finished their chat and said their goodbyes.
"I'm looking forward to meeting you again Mikan."
"Me too."
Then, she left as her car arrived.
"It seems like my grandma likes you." Natsume said to Mikan, as soon as his grandmother left.
Mikan just smiled, satisfied that somehow, she got to know Natsume a little bit more.

"Hotaru"
"What is your problem? Suddenly calling me out here." Hotaru said annoyed.
"She agreed." Ruka happily announced.
"Huh?" She looked at him, questioningly.
"Mikan agreed. Natsume called me and told me that she agreed." He said more clearly.
"Good" was all Hotaru said.
"Where's the happy smile?" he teased her. "You were so worried about this, you know." Remembering how Hotaru was unable to sit still and focus on her work because she was concerned about Mikan.
"Worried? I wasn't." She denied. "And besides, she made the decision herself." Hotaru said with her cold tone.
"You helped her through it." Ruka reminded her.
She ignored what he said and looked at him a warily. "Is that all you have to say? I need to go. I left a pile of work." Then, she left without waiting for Ruka's goodbye.
Mikan was at home, thinking about her decision from time to time. It was going to be a life-changing choice that she was making not just for her son but also for her.
"It has been two days since I agreed and Natsuki was so excited about it." Mikan thought, smiling as she remembered Natsuki's big smile when he told him.
Natsuki was spending the day with Ruka and Hotaru and Mikan was more than ecstatic that she gets to have some peace of mind.
The peace though was disturbed when she heard a knock on the door. "Who could it be?" she wondered, as she went to the front door.
She opened the door and wondered more. "What is he doing here?"
