Rated MA for language, violence, and sexual content (yes, there will eventually be hot lesbian sex, but also a plot and a story)

This is a lesbian fanfiction people, if you don't like it, don't read.

Disclaimer: If I owned the Teen Titans, I'd be a whole lot richer. As it is, if you sue me, I'll laugh and help you look for money. But in all seriousness, I do not own these characters, DC, Cartoon Network, or any of that jazz.

First time actually posting a fanfiction so please be nice, but I seriously would love feedback!

Your reviews and follows seriously mean the world to me! I've always been too nervous to post my stories online, so to know that people actually like it and want to read it is amazing! I know Raven and Jinx's relationship is kinda slow going but I wanted to make it realistic. I promise lots of sexy time in later chapters.

Chapter 5

She found herself again soaring high above the abandoned city of Azarath. Rather than head for her home, this time Raven headed for the Temple of Azar as quickly as she could. She landed in the courtyard before sprinting up the stone steps and pushing through the huge stone doors. The temple was just as empty as the rest of the city, but the torches lining the walls were all lit.

Raven slowed her pace for caution's sake, but continued through the temple, feeling whatever energy had brought her into this dream pulling her forward.

As she neared the end of the main entryway; which slanted up to a large, stone altar; Raven gasped and came to a sudden stop. The temple was not quite as empty as she had assumed. A tall, slim figure wearing robes of blood red was leaning casually against the altar. His appearance was somewhat distorted due to the tendrils of black and red mist that swirled around him. Raven had assumed it was a man anyway, though his face was entirely hidden in shadow. The voice that came from under the hood neither confirmed nor denied Raven's assumption. It was so cold and twisted, it couldn't be human.

"I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever show." The figure said.

"What do you mean? This is a dream…" Bur Raven knew he could hear the uncertainty in her voice just as well as she could.

It took Raven a moment to realize that the high pitched shriek coming from the figure was laughter.

"Now Raven, do you really want to waste time with pitiful protests?" He spat. "Time is really something your people don't have…"

It took all Raven had to keep from falling to her knees at these words.

"My-My people?" She gasped.

Before she could blink, Raven found herself face to face with the cloaked figure. She could finally say with certainty that the figure was male. His red eyes with slits for pupils looked disturbingly familiar and his sneer made Raven's blood run cold.

"Yes, sweet Raven. Your precious people."

He pulled something from his pocket and pressed it into her hand.

"Though I must say, I'm quite impressed with the amount of defiance their leader has shown."

He was walking away from her now. Raven's hand was clenched over the item he had placed there. She fell to her hands and knees, desperately sucking in gulps of air. He paused to look back at her as she opened her trembling fist and looked at the torn piece of white fabric that was covered with dried blood."

"Like mother like daughter, I suppose."

Raven and Jinx both woke in a cold sweat, ears still ringing with the echoes of cruel laughter.

Before Raven could even reach for the communicator on her bedside table, it began ringing. She flipped it open and didn't bother to question the relief that washed over her just from seeing Jinx's face. The pink haired girl wore an expression that Raven didn't recognize as concern until she spoke.

"Raven, are you ok?"

"I…" It was then that Raven realized she was crying. The full impact of her dream hit her and she felt as though her lungs had been tied into knots, leaving her gasping for air.

"I'm coming over there." Jinx said.

"No!" Raven managed to cry.

"Raven, I know what you saw! I was there!" Jinx exclaimed.

"I know, I felt you." Raven replied softly.

"And I felt you! That's why I need to be there!"

Raven found enough space in her frantic mind to be surprised at the sorceress' behavior. There was no hint of the joking, sly thief, only sincere worry and desire to be there for Raven. Jinx didn't understand her own behavior either but decided to psychoanalyze herself later.

"You can't come to the tower, Robin would-"

"Fuck Robin!" Jinx yelled, shocking Raven enough that she didn't even try to finish her sentence. "This is a lot bigger than small-time hero-villain rivalries. Even I know that. And whatever it is, well, for some reason, I'm involved, and I don't' plan to half-ass my involvement."

Though she ended her short speech with a trace of her familiar smirk, Raven could again sense the honesty in Jinx's words. Raven closed her eyes and took a deep breath, her panic at what she had seen still threatening to overwhelm her.

"Yes, you are involved, and it is much bigger than that, but I need to explain to Robin and the others before you just show up at the tower. He's very much: attack first, ask questions later when it comes to our home."

Jinx took a deep breath as well.

"Ok, you're right," She replied. "But I still want to see you…"

To Jinx's surprise, the purple haired girl nodded.

"Meet me in the park." Raven said.

"Be there in ten." Jinx replied before the communicator screen went blank.

Raven wasted no time in pulling on her cloak and boots. A quick glance at the clock on her wall told her it was nearing sunrise. She knew Robin would normally be up at the crack of dawn to train, but hoped that their late night would force him to sleep for a few more hours. She didn't feel like being questioned about her whereabouts should her talk with Jinx last longer than anticipated.

Fifteen minutes later, Raven landed silently next to the tree Jinx was leaning against. Pink eyes still full of worry, she reached hesitantly toward Raven, unsure if physical comfort was something acceptable for her to offer. Surprising the both of them, Raven stepped into Jinx's embrace, her eyes starting to burn with tears she was determined not to shed.

"He has my mother…" She heard herself sob.

Jinx's arms tightened around her.

"We'll get her back." She said reassuringly.

It was several more moments before Raven pulled away, wiping at her eyes with frustration.

"I, I know my dreams are true, but I need to go to Azarath to be certain before doing anything else." She said.

Jinx nodded.

"I'm guessing that's not really something I can tag along for" She replied with a smile.

"Yeah, I doubt you would survive the trip." Raven agreed with a small smile of her own.

They had both started walking the same trail as their previous trip to the park. The sun had just begun to show but the city was still quiet.

"When will you go?" Jinx asked.

"I need to explain to my friends what's happening first. I'll talk to them first thing when I get home and I will explain your involvement, not that it's something I can actually explain."

Jinx laughed at that.

"Yeah, you and me both." She replied.

"I'm sure my father and his new… friend will explain their intentions soon enough." Raven said bitterly.

"How can your father have found someone to help him if he's trapped and powerless?" Jinx asked slowly.

"He must have been helping Trigon before and now he's found him again. Trigon couldn't have reached out to anyone." Raven replied thoughtfully.

"Someone from Azarath?" Suggested Jinx.

Raven shook her head. "No, I've never sensed energy like his before. Even in dreams, I can feel people's energy, it's how I knew you were somehow there too." She explained.

Jinx took a minute to again marvel at the Titan's abilities. They certainly stretched further than any of the city's criminals had suspected. Even Doctor Light had apparently only been victim to a portion of the half-demon's true power. Raven seemed to sense what she was thinking as well.

"I've never unleashed my full powers against anyone but my father. I use enough to battle my opponents without seriously harming them or anyone near me. I have to be in complete control of my emotions and my powers to keep from killing anyone. My abilities to sense others energy, feelings, and thoughts are ones I try to keep to myself." Raven explained quietly.

"Damn. You really are one of the good guys." Jinx said, lightening the mood with a wink.

Raven laughed.

"Call it attempting to redeem my demonic soul." She replied.

"I'm fairly positive you redeemed that even before defeating your demonic sperm donor." Jinx joked, making Raven laugh again; a sound the sorceress decided she very much enjoyed.

"I'll call you soon." Raven promised.

She had turned to leave when she felt Jinx pull her back by her arm gently. Suddenly she was wrapped in the thief's arms again. Raven could feel Jinx's worry washing over her.

"Be careful, please?" Jinx said quietly.

Raven hugged Jinx back tightly.

"I will."

Jinx released the Titan and stepped back, feeling embarrassed at her rather emotional actions. Raven felt herself blushing, sharing in Jinx's embarrassment. Without a word, she took several steps back before cloaking herself in darkness and teleporting back to the tower.
