Rated MA for language, violence, and sexual content (yes, there will eventually be hot lesbian sex, but also a plot and a story)

This is a lesbian fanfiction people, if you don't like it, don't read.

Disclaimer: If I owned the Teen Titans, I'd be a whole lot richer. As it is, if you sue me, I'll laugh and help you look for money. But in all seriousness, I do not own these characters, DC, Cartoon Network, or any of that jazz.

First time actually posting a fanfiction so please be nice, but I seriously would love feedback!

I know, again, I suck for taking so long to post. In my defense, this semester has been hell that ended with me having to withdraw from three of my classes because I missed so much because I was sick for like two months. I know, I'm full of excuses.

ANYWAY! Here's the next chapter and I promise there's some lovin between our girls coming soon. Thanks so much for the amazing feedback and sweet comments!

Raven ignored the soft yet insistent knock on her bedroom door for the fifth time that day. It had been almost a month since Jinx had been taken and during that time, Raven had only come out of her room once every couple of days to eat. She had refused to sleep as well, choosing instead to revive herself through meditation so she could try reaching out to Jinx. The rest of the time she spent pouring over her books and performing endless searches on her computer.

She refused to think of what was happening to Jinx, her emotions placed carefully in the back of her mind. Locating Trigon, Jinx, her mother, and her people were the only things Raven allowed herself to think about.

Another knock at the door, this time accompanied by Starfire's timid call.

"Raven? Might I please enter?"

Raven sighed, allowing the book in her lap to slide into the bed as she stood and walked to the door to allow the Tamaranean in.

"What is it Starfire?" Raven asked, her voice more gravelly than usual due to lack of use over the last few weeks.

Starfire shuffled her feet awkwardly, her green eyes avoiding Raven's intense stare.

"I simply wished to see you and, um, ask if you are ok?"

Raven raised her eyebrows.

"I'm fine. Is that all?" She asked curtly.

"Forgive me Raven, but, you are not fine."

Starfire finally met Raven's eyes and the mage found herself surprised by the amount of understanding showing through the green orbs.

"Look, Star, I don't want to talk about it. I just want to find a way to-"

"You have the feelings for Jinx." Starfire stated.

Her tone wasn't in any way accusatory; if anything she sounded sympathetic. She too was worried about Jinx's well being, it was just who she was. So she could imagine the anxiety and fear Raven must be feeling.

"I don't..." Raven began, but couldn't find it in herself to lie.

"We will find her, and she will be ok." Starfire said.

She had moved further into Raven's room and shut the door behind her.

"You don't know that." Raven replied quietly.

"I do." Starfire argued confidently. "You defeated Trigon before and saved all of us. I know you will be able to save Jinx. Raven, as long as you do not give up I know we shall triumph."

"What if I can't save her, Star? What if I can't save any of them? What if I'm too late?" Raven felt the dam she'd built around her emotions breaking, she blinked away the tears forming in her eyes.

"You have never failed to save anyone, Raven." Starfire said quietly.

Raven shook her head, the tears finally breaking free and spilling down her cheeks.

"She may not even be alive." She whispered.

"You believe that enough to give up?"

Starfire's words startled Raven and she looked up at her friend almost angrily.

"Of course not! I'm not giving up on her, I just-"

She was cut off by the Tamaranean who was now looking at Raven sternly with her arms folded.

"Raven, you have barely left your room and have once again shut out your friends. You are not eating or sleeping. I see the appearance of giving up!"

Raven rose from her bed furiously, though the gesture wasn't quite as intimidating as she'd have liked due to Starfire still towering over her by a foot.

"I've been researching non stop! I haven't slept because I've been waiting to feel or see or hear her!" She yelled.

"We have all been doing the research as well. And now that you are no longer sulking, might you come see what we have found?"

Starfire flashed a brilliant smile before exiting Raven's room gracefully. Bewildered, Raven simply watched Starfire go with her mouth open dumbly.

What in the hell just happened!?

Before she had another moment to attempt to interpret her friend's behavior, Starfire reappeared and began dragging Raven towards the living room. The other Titans were waiting and all three boys gave Starfire a surprised look as she deposited Raven onto the couch and smiled proudly.

"Wow, Starfire said she had an idea to get you to come out of your room but, uh-"

"Kinda wasn't expecting so much physical force, Star!"

Robin and Beast Boy commented.

"Neither was I." Raven grumbled, massaging the feeling back into her arm.

She finally realized that Starfire's accusations had only been meant to rile her up and make her receptive to her friends' help.

"Thanks, Star." She found herself smiling at the alien girl.

"You are most welcome." Starfire replied, still beaming.

"So why the sudden tough love?" Raven asked, looking up at Robin.

"Well, we thought we should look into why Trigon and his new friend would take Jinx, other than to get to you." Robin began.

"If they already have your mom and your people, why would they need another hostage?" Cyborg added.

"Because she's a danger to them. Whatever connection we formed is somehow part of the key to defeating them." Raven replied, having come to this conclusion as well soon after Jinx had been taken.

"Precisely." Robin agreed with a nod. "So we've been researching Jinx, trying to figure out why she's involved and how you two are connected."

Raven raised her eyebrows. She honestly had not expected that her teammates would be focusing their energies on Jinx.

"Have you found anything?" She asked, hopefully.

"Not a lot, and nothing that seems to tie her into all of this. But Beast Boy had an idea." Robin replied, causing Raven to turn to her green friend expectantly.

"Well, uh, it's not much really." Beast Boy said with a nervous laugh. "But I figure Mammoth and Gizmo, well, Mammoth at least, care about Jinx too, enough to help us find her. What better way to learn more about Jinx than to check out where she lived and talk to her friends, right?"

"You've contacted Mammoth and Gizmo about this?" Raven asked with surprise.

"Not exactly, no." Cyborg admitted. "We were kinda hoping you'd be up for the job. You're much closer to Jinx and will, A. Know what to look for, and B. I think Mammoth and Gizmo would be more willing to hear you out than any of the rest of us."

It made sense, but just the thought of digging through Jinx's things already felt like an incredible invasion of privacy. And though Mammoth and Gizmo might be receptive to the fact that Raven cared about Jinx, she still wasn't exactly a 'people person.' But then, Jinx's terrified face as she had been taken by the stranger flashed in Raven's mind.

"I'll do it." She said resolutely. "I might need some assistance with her computer if Gizmo isn't feeling particularly generous."

Cyborg nodded. "Give me a call if you have any trouble and I'll walk you through it."

"Thank you." Raven replied. "I'll head over there now."

Now that they finally had some sort of plan, Raven was eager to get started. Robin nodded in agreement.

"We'll continue to do what research we can from here." He assured her.

"I'll be back soon." Raven said, but before she teleported away, she turned back to her friends. "Thank you all. I'm, um, sorry for shutting you out." She said quietly.

Her friends gave her soft smiles.

"We'll get her back, Rae." Beast Boy said.

"We'll get all of them back." Robin added.

Raven nodded once, smiled briefly, and then teleported from the room.

Raven had been pacing in front of the large warehouse door for at least 10 minutes. Her previous determination had dwindled when she once again thought about what an invasion of Jinx's privacy this was. Also, she hadn't worked out what she would say to Mammoth and Gizmo. 'Hey, I got your friend mixed up in some really bad shit and I'm really sorry so can I come dig through all her stuff so I can find out why she's involved? Oh, and I also might be falling in love with her,' didn't exactly sound like the best approach.

Suddenly, the door slid open with a series of loud clanging sounds, causing Raven to jump back in surprise.

"Either come inside or get lost, but for fuck's sake, STOP PACING!" Came Gizmo's voice through an intercom positioned above the entrance.

Once she recovered from the slight shock, Raven walked briskly through the dark entryway. She was met with a smaller door that swung open as she approached to reveal Mammoth and Gizmo, the latter glaring pointedly at their visitor.

"What do you want?" Gizmo asked, his voice full of accusation.

"Giz…" Mammoth growled in warning.

Gizmo scoffed before stalking off angrily. Mammoth rolled his eyes before turning back to Raven.

"Come in." He grunted, stepping aside to allow the empath inside.

Raven stepped into the main room of the HIVE's apartment. It was set up similar to Titans Tower with a kitchen on one side and a large computer system against the wall. There were several mismatched couches, bookshelves, and arcade games scattered throughout the room. Empty pizza boxes and soda cans littered the floor and counters.

Mammoth sank onto one of the couches that looked as though it could barely support him. Gizmo was standing against the kitchen counter, still glaring at Raven. The Titan sat down on the couch across from Mammoth and clasped her hands together.

"What's going on with you and Jinx?" Mammoth finally broke the silence.

"She was… helping me." Raven said slowly.

"I fucking knew it." Gizmo muttered angrily.

"Giz!" Mammoth shouted this time, shaking the apartment.

He stood up and turned to Gizmo angrily, but Gizmo didn't back down.

"She's a fucking traitor!" He shouted.

"She is our friend!" Mammoth replied through clenched teeth.

Raven didn't have the patience to listen to them bicker. With a frustrated sigh, she plunged the three of them into a vision, effectively shutting up the boys as they looked around in horror. It appeared that they were in the city, but it was nothing but fire and rubble. When a giant creature with four glowing red eyes and antlers appeared among the buildings, Mammoth and Gizmo started screaming. Deciding that perhaps that was enough to convince them, Raven ended the vision. The two teenage boys were now shaking and looking around the room frantically.

"What the fuck was that!?" Gizmo screamed.

Raven was immediately in front of him and glaring down with glowing black eyes.

"THAT is what Jinx is helping me with. The end of the fucking world. Little news flash for you, there are much bigger and more important things than my friends and I beating you up every time you try to steal money for pizza and video games. Jinx understood that. I honestly couldn't care less if you do or not, but you will NOT keep me from getting her back and you will NOT call her a traitor!"

Raven's words were met with dead silence. Neither of the boys had ever heard the quiet girl say more than a few words, and now she was screaming and swearing. Gizmo was still staring daggers but had the common sense to at least shut up for now. Mammoth approached both of them and lay a massive hand softly on Raven's shoulder.

"How can we help?" He asked.

Raven visibly relaxed and her glowing eyes faded back to their normal purple. She turned to the much larger boy.

"Jinx is even more connected to what's going on than I originally thought. I need to find out why she was taken. My friends are still working on locating her." Raven explained.

"I'll show you where her room is. Maybe there will be some clues?" Mammoth suggested.

"That's what I'm hoping." Raven replied.

Mammoth led her down the hallway to a door that was decorated with pink and purples stars. Raven tried to hide her smile at the complete lack of 'badass-ness.' Mammoth noticed her smile anyway and laughed.

"Cute, huh?" He chuckled.

"Very." Raven replied with a laugh of her own.

Mammoth opened the door and motioned her inside.

"She'll kill me if I go in there, but let me know if you need anything." He said.

"Thank you." Raven nodded.

Mammoth turned to head back down the hall but paused.

"She likes you too ya know." He informed her awkwardly.

Raven felt her cheeks turn red but was spared further embarrassment when Mammoth quickly continued walking away. Turning back to Jinx's room, Raven took in her surroundings, a smile forming on her lips as she saw the pink haired sorceress reflected in the décor. The walls were a soft purple with several random black checkered patterns. Posters for different bands and horror movies were taped up everywhere. In one corner was a rather small bed that was neatly made with black sheets. There was an entertainment center at the foot of the bed that held a TV, Blu-ray Player, and several gaming consoles. Raven's eyebrows rose at this, she decided that Jinx would have to play against the guys when she… got back. Ignoring the pangs in her chest that always made themselves known when she thought about where Jinx might be, Raven walked over to the rows of shelves that were built into one wall. They were filled with novels, comic books, movies, and notebooks that Raven assumed were filled with Jinx's own creations. Lastly, there was a large computer system, obviously of Gizmo's design, that was set up on a white, wooden desk.

Deciding that the computer was the best place to start, Raven sat down in the white rolling chair and clicked the power button. The large screen lit up and asked for a password. Raven pulled her com device out of her pocket and dialed Cyborg.

"Yo." Cyborg answered.

"Hey, her computer is password protected. Think you can hack it from there?" Raven asked.

Cyborg rolled his eyes.

"When are y'all finally gonna admit that there isn't a system on his planet I can't hack?" He said with a smirk.

"Whatever. What do I do?" Raven replied.

"Just plug the com into a USB drive and I'll take care of it." Cyborg instructed.

Raven did as he asked and a few moments later the computer screen flashed to Jinx's desktop.

"You're the best." Raven said.

"I know."

Raven unplugged the com and shut it off. Robin kept a file of all the Titans and Raven could only hope that maybe the HIVE did the same. She started by skimming over the different documents Jinx had saved. Most of them looked like they might be books, short stories, or poems written by Jinx. Others looked like journal entries, but Raven had decided that digging through Jinx's journals would be a last resort.

She then tried finding a program similar to the one the Titans used and breathed a sigh of relief when she found it.

"About time something convenient happens." Raven mumbled to herself.

Raven booted up the program and scanned the list of profiles. Taking a deep breath, she clicked on the image of Jinx. Skipping the info on Jinx's powers and statistics, Raven was pleased to see that the 'History and Origins' section was much more extensive than the Titan's database. However, Raven found herself getting frustrated again when she realized that the majority of the information simply covered Jinx's training and evaluations in the HIVE academy. Only one short section gave a hint of what Jinx had been doing before her recruitment into the HIVE. Apparently, Jinx had been born in India, but there was no information on her parents or guardian, her childhood, or how she had made her way to the U.S. There was at least a file verifying she had been granted citizenship in the U.S. when she was about 7 years old.

Well, at least I won't have to report her to customs when I get her back. Raven thought darkly.

The next documentation on Jinx was a police report in New York City roughly three years later where Jinx and several other kids had been caught stealing from several stores at a mall. Raven opened up another screen on the computer and used her Teen Titan security code access to bring up the police report. Raven's heart ached as she read the description of the incident. Jinx had been the youngest in the group by five years, and while the teens had been attempting to steal jewelry, electronics, and other high priced valuables, Jinx had been apprehended with only a few items of clothing and a box of Oreo's. The picture in the report made Raven gasp out loud. Jinx was incredibly pale, obviously malnourished, and wearing dirty and torn clothing. Her pink hair was dull and unwashed. It was obvious that she had been living on the streets for some time.

"Jinx, who let this happen to you?" Raven whispered to herself.

Swallowing down her rage at whoever it was that had left Jinx to fend for herself in the middle of New York City at the age of ten, Raven went back to the profile on Jinx and skimmed the rest of her records. There were a couple of reports from juvenile detention centers over the next few years until Jinx was recruited by the HIVE at the age of thirteen.

Raven leaned back in the chair and closed her eyes.

I still have practically nothing to go off of! She thought angrily.

Opening her eyes again, Raven looked over at the shelf that held the notebooks she'd noticed earlier. She groaned in frustration before getting up and walking over to the shelf.

She's going to kill me. Raven thought before pulling the first notebook off the shelf.

She opened it to Jinx's most recent entry. It wasn't a journal entry, but a poem entitled 'Amethyst.' Raven couldn't help but let her eyes travel across the words.

'Once cold, hard, stone.

So much darkness

Hiding so much light.

Draw me in, caress me, drink me in.

Sends shivers down my spine

Takes away my breath, then breathes life into me.

I'm falling, falling

Into dark amethyst pools.

Amethyst eyes.

Eyes that lock with mine.

Eyes that trace me,

Every line, curve.

I long for your touch

To follow the path you trace

For your lips to caress me as your eyes do,

Your amethyst eyes.'

Raven didn't realize she was holding her breath while reading the last few lines of the poem until she became light headed and released the air from her lungs in a gasp. She felt uncomfortably warm and flushed. She quickly snapped the notebook shut and placed it back on the shelf.

Yep, she's definitely going to kill me.
