AUTHOR TIME(MWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!):

Me: YAY! I finally updated!

Naru: About damn time!

Me: Shut the hell up Naru! Do you want HER to come back?! I know she's in your nightmares!

Naru: She's in yours too!

Mai: While them two bicker like uncivilized children I'll do the disclaimer.

TheUnquietDead DOES NOTOWN GHOST HUNT OR ITS CHARACTERS.

Me: THAT IS IT! Mai call the hospital and tell them to expect Naru for the emergency room!

Mai: *sigh* children...

Mai sighed. She had known this day would come, the day where she would have to show SPR that she was still alive. Mai scowled. It was all because of the visitor she had had the night before.

{FLASHBACK TIME}

Mai's eyes widened. It was Lin. "L-Lin-san?! What the hell are you doing here?!" Mai half shrieked. She looked around frantically for his ward, Lin was never too far away from him from what she remembered. "I brought him and only him." Dean stepped out from the shadows behind Lin. "Taniyama-san. Why haven't you told anyone you're okay, that you're living here?" Lin asked with a quiet voice. When Mai had disappeared he had spent every possible moment he had to find her. He had even set up a program to search through all databases and websites constantly. Mai stared at Lin, searching for something in his eyes. She sighed as she found what she was looking for. "Lin, I'm not the same person. I'm more powerful and more dangerous than the old me. I didn't want to put any of you in the position where you would be faced with how much I've changed. I'm not who I was when I left Lin-san." "If it's your powers than I can hel-" Lin started. "It isn't just her powers Lin-san. And anyway she doesn't want to 'chain' herself again as she calls it." Dean interrupted. "Dean, you need to shut the fuck up." Mai fixed him with a steely glare. Dean chuckled and put his hands up in mock surrender. "Whatever. I need to go get Sammy from the library now anyway. See you for the case at noon tomorrow. Don't be late." Dean warned before walking out of her apartment, leaving her to answer Lin's questions on her own. 'Feed me to the wolves why don't you, you bastard.' Mai thought to herself as she turned back to her surprise guest. "So Lin, want any tea?" He nodded and Mai went into her kitchen to make it for the questioning that was about to begin. "So what do you want to know Lin?" Mai asked as she set down the newly made tea on her table, passing a cup over to Lin. Lin took the offered cup and thought on what he wanted to ask first. "Where have you been all this time? I doubt you have been this close for so long without us noticing." Mai nodded. "That's true. I only moved in here about 2 weeks ago but I was in America before then. I went there about a month after I left." "Why didn't you want us to find you? To know that you were okay?" He quietly asked, looking down into his cup. Mai sighed. Trust Lin to ask a hard question in the beginning. "Lin, I was in a bad place after what happened with Naru. I needed time and my space and I knew I wouldn't get it if I was in contact. As it was I had to leave the country to start healing." Lin slowly nodded before drinking some of his tea. "What did Dean mean before? That you don't want to 'chain' yourself again?" Mai inwardly groaned. 'Fuck my horrible luck tonight! Damn you Dean!' She chewed on her lip before opening it up to answer. Before she could speak however Lin's phone rang. He gave her an apologetic look before picking it up. "Lin...I'll be right there." He hung up and put his phone back in his pocket. "Trouble?" Mai questioned with a small smile. Lin nodded. "Naru is refusing to quit for the night so I have to go take him home. He's been working himself to the bone since you disappeared." Lin told her in a quiet voice. Mai stared into her cooling cup of tea. Lin stood up. "Thank you for the tea. Come by the office tomorrow, the others have missed you." Mai started at that. "Lin I don't know if that's a good idea." He just raised a hand to stop her protests. "If you don't come I will be forced to tell them where you live so they can see you." Lin smirked. "See you tomorrow Mai." Mai just stood in the hallway with her mouth open in shock as he left.

{FLASH-FORWARD TIME}

Mai sighed once again as she reached the door. She braced herself for the confrontation on the other side of the door...

Me: Annnnd that's a wrap!

Naru: Really? That's it? I don't even get to meet Mai?

Me: Nope! That's for the next chapter. AND GUESS WHAT?!

Mai: You decided to make this a crossover with Supernatural, a tv show that involves two brothers hunting demons, ghosts, and whatnot?

Me: Wow you're good. Now be a good girl and tell me who told you.

Mai: Fine. *whispers in ear*

Me: Damnit. Anyways, there won't really be any change to the story so if you don't know Supernatural its okay. You can watch it if you want but I'll try not to confuse the ones that don't. THANK YOU AND GOODNIGHT!
