Chapter 14

Janet paced back and forth in their meeting room, frustrated. The boy had saved her, and not just that, but he had saved Cap too. Yet even with that, they had just let those other villains take off with him!

"We should have done something," she thundered, "he was just a kid!"

"Janet, what do you think we could have done? He agreed to go with them," Tony replied.

"Yeah, I know, but…well, I mean…did you see his face when that woman made her demand? He looked so sad and defeated. I mean he's just a kid," she sighed.

Captain America walked up with a grim smile, "Even more reason to get into the manner, to save Jarvis and the boy." Janet opened her mouth to add more when a portal opened and Thor stepped out.

"Thor, it's about time, we needed…" Tony trailed off when he saw a group of unfamiliar people step out after Thor and then the portal closed. Ironman stared with hard eyes at the newcomers not trusting them yet.

"Ho Avengers, Thor has arrived," he said in a booming voice and a big smile. Then seeing the curious eyes of his teammates he added, "I have brought back allies to help us in this formidable battle."

Batman grunted then looked at Thor, "Thanks for bringing us here, now I'm off to find Robin and Alfred."

Thor grabbed a hold of the back of Batman's cape, "Hold there friend for thou doth not know where thy friend and allies reside."

"Okay, in English that means," Flash asked.

"He means it would not be wise to take off in a strange place without knowing where we are going," Martian Manhunter explained.

"Oh, right…I knew that," Flash replied.

"I don't give a damn that I don't know where I am, I am going to find Robin and Alfred," Batman thundered.

Wonder Woman put a hand on his shoulder, "Batman," she said calmly, "we want to find Robin and Alfred as much as you do, but rushing in without a plan will not help anyone here."

Janet stepped forward and looked at Batman, "Is this Robin you're looking for a boy with untidy hair and a red, yellow, and green suit?"

"Yeah, why," Batman asked raising his eyebrows.

Janet turned to Ironman, "See, they are here for the boy too! Why cant we save him now," she frowned, "like he saved us!"

"Wait, you know where Robin is," Batman demanded!

"It's not as easy as you think," Ironman stated. "He's in the manner, and it's in lockdown, it will send back any attack sent at it. There is no way in unless they let us in."

"Maybe that's the answer to our problem," Captain America trailed off.

"Before we go on, maybe we should get to know our new teammates," Black Panther suggested.

"Yes, I'd like to know who these new people are," Ironman stated with suspicion.

"Agreed," Superman said, "We'll start," and so the introductions began.

Page Break

Robin walked back into the manner with a sigh, he was back in his prison, and this time he had to stay. At least he had been able to save those nice people, even if he wasn't able to stay there. At least in staying here he could look out for Alfred and the nice group, the Avengers, he could look out for their butler too.

When he walked into the main room, the living room, he stopped dead in his tracks. Alfred was bleeding. He had several cuts on his face and not one of them had been cleaned or taken care of. He was about to say something to Alfred when Alfred walked past him and up to Ivy and gave her a quick bow.

"Welcome back Miss Ivy," he said and bowed again, "is there anything I can get you?"

"Yes, my feet are sore after that trip. I need you to rub my feet," Ivy said sitting on the couch next to Harley.

Alfred bowed again, "Very well Miss Ivy," and then Alfred stooped down, took her shoes off, and began to rub her feet.

Robin stood frozen in the doorway, his anger coming to a boiling point. "IVY! How DARE you treat Alfred this way! He is NOT your personal slave," Robin thundered in rage.

"And why on earth not," she asked indifferently.

"Because the boy loves the old man," Loki said with a chuckle, ruffling Robin's hair and walking into the room.

"Where have you been," Zemo thundered at Loki.

"I was slightly detained," Loki replied, "but I do have an update to share."

"Alright, what is it," Zemo asked impatiently.

"It seems their team, the Justice League, has now come to our world. They plan on coming for the boy and the old man."

"Too bad they will have to fight Robin instead of rescue him," Slade commented sounding uninterested.

"What are you talking about," Robin demanded, "I'm not fighting with you! I'm going to fight against you and fight with them!"

Slade chuckled, "Do you really want o upset me Robin? After all, you are my apprentice, and you do not want to upset me. The last time I was upset with you bad things happened."

"Yeah, you tried to kill my friends," Robin said with a scowl.

"Actually Bird Boy, he knocked your old man around a bit," Joker said with a chuckle.

Robin looked from Alfred, all his cuts and bruises, and back to Slade. "You did this to Alfred," Robin thundered, swinging his fists at Slade, who caught it quite easily.

"Robin, one of the first things you must learn is not to strike out in anger," Slade said holding a struggling Robin by his hands, that moments ago had been fists. "When you do, you open yourself up for defeat," and with this Slade bent Robin's wrists backwards. Robin let out a yelp of pain which caused the other villains to laugh, but Alfred's head snapped up and he stopped what he was doing.

"Master Robin," Alfred grunted, fighting Ivy's control.

Harley rolled her eyes, "I think your control's wearing off Red."

Ivy smirked, "It's alright Harls, tomorrow I got Bird Boy as my servant, so it's okay," she replied with a chuckle.

Robin was still grunting and struggling with Slade and Alfred stood up as if to go to Robin's aid. Joker looked over in that direction and chuckled. "Hey old man, I'm getting hungry, go fix dinner for me," Joker ordered.

Alfred scowled at Joker and was about to reply when Slade cut in, "Yes, Wintergreen will show you where to go. The other one is already in the kitchen fixing food for the Masters of Evil," Slade said twisting Robin's wrist again for emphases and Robin let out another cry of pain. Alfred winced at the sound and then nodded slowly.

"Very well sir," Alfred replied trying to hide his anger and disapproval, "What would you like," he asked turning to the Injustice League.

"I'll have a garden salad, no meat, with some beet juice," Ivy replied, and soon all the others chimed in as well. Alfred nodded, and, sparing one last glance at Robin, followed Wintergreen out of the room and into the kitchen.
