Power Rangers
Lost Galaxy
Episode 6
Terra Venture
I was in my quarters, sitting on my bed and reading a book. Miya and Kendrix, who were supposed to hang out with me today, had to go and check an energy reading. So, I simply waited for them to come back. I kept reading, turning the page when I was finished until my morpher beeped.
"Go for Neon." I answered.
"Neon, we need to go." Leo stated. "Kendrix and Miya's in trouble."
"I'm on my way." I grabbed my venture jacket before heading out and I met the others on the Astro Megaship and we morphed before getting into our Jet Jammers. We got to the mountain dome in record time and we can see the two being held by Sting Winger's and Furio was standing in front of them.
Luckily, we were able to switch to our new vehicles, the Astro Cycle and we charged in, blasting at the bugs and stopped.
"You guys got here just in time." Kendrix stated.
"What are these?" questioned Miya.
"These are our new Astro Cycles." Leo told them.
"They're the bomb, huh?" Damon patted his.
"I'll say." Miya looked over each one."
"For my next trick…" Furio suddenly said from behind, making us look. Furio had a cape and a top hat on strangely and he had a humanoid bug lady thing there with him. There was a box in between them, making me frown.
"What are you up to, Furio?" Leo, Damon and I got off our cycles and walk a few steps forward.
"You like magic, red ranger? Orange ranger?" questioned Furio. "I have something special just for you two."
"We don't have time for your tricks!"
"The lovely Trakeena." Furio ignored Leo and gestured to the bug lady he came with.
"Thank you, Furio." hummed Trakeena.
"Alakazam! Open the box!" Furio demanded and Trakeena walked over and grabbed the lid of the box and opened it. Standing in the box, with his arms crossed over his chest was…
"What?! Mike!" Leo took a few steps forward while I stood there in shock at what I'm seeing. That's when the Sting Wingers attacked. I shook my head and began fighting them, punching and kicking and slashing.
"Mike! Let him go, Furio!" I heard Leo demanded. Out of the corner of my vision, I saw Leo throw the bugs off and went to is Astro Cycle and I quickly followed suit. We began to follow where we saw the truck drove away. It wasn't that hard to find since it seemed like they bailed but left the box there.
Leo and I both powered down before approaching, cautiously looking around. We jumped into the truck bed and opened the box- but Mike wasn't in it.
"Leo…" I looked up at him.
"Don't worry." he reassured me, slipping an arm around my shoulders. "We'll find him."
We jumped off and began to search. Luckily, we found them pretty quickly.
When Trakeena lifted Mike's face, Leo tried to charge in but Kai stopped him, forcing him to go low.
"We need a plan." Kai whispered.
"I have an idea." Miya piped up before looking at our green ranger. "Damon, you be the decoy."
"Me be the decoy?" Damon stared at her. "It's your brilliant idea, you be the decoy."
They both stared at each other before Miya finally pushed Damon to his feet, motioned him to go. Damon looked like he was about the argue but he just slumped in defeat and went running off. The others went to the same direction he did while Leo and I want the opposite way.
"Excuse me, guys?" Damon walked out of the shrubs, his hands up in the air. "Sure is dangerous for me to be out here all alone? Hope no one attacks me."
I almost facepalmed. I swear, one of these days, him being a decoy will stop working others effectively.
"The green ranger! Get him!"
...Except for Furio.
The group charged at him and Damon quickly bolted, leading them away from the bound Mike. Leo was the first to ran over, slicing the chains with the Saber.
"Mike!" Leo pulled the chains away and grabbed Mike by the shoulders. "Mike!"
I glanced at the other rangers fighting before running over to my brothers and knelt down beside Leo just as Mike came too.
"Leo…" Mike finally spoke.
"Yeah, it's me." Leo pulled Mike into a hug before letting Mike slipped back against the tree. "And look who came with me."
Mike's eyes scanned over to me and he seemed to relax more. "Neon."
"Hey, Mike…" I smiled before hugging him myself for a moment and let him lean against the tree again.
"I thought I'd never see you again little brother, baby sister."
"Come on, we have got to get you to safety." Leo stood, trying to get Mike to get up but Mike only grunted in pain.
"You have to help me." Mike breathed.
"Here, lean on us."
Leo and I put Mike's arms around our shoulders and helped him up and we began walking.
"Leaving so soon?" sneered Furio once he noticed us.
"Leo, Neon, get him out of here!" Kai grabbed onto Furio. We quickly moved but I could hear the Sting Wingers coming. We hid in a bush and waited for all of the bugs to run past.
"Mike, we thought you were gone forever." Leo spoke once we were safe. "When you fell into that crevice…"
"Hey, they can't break us up that easy." grinned Mike. "Right?"
"Right," smiled Leo. "But...what happened? I mean, how'd you get away?"
"Leo, there's no time for that now. We have to get to the Lights of Orion before Furio does."
"The...Lights of Orion..?" I frowned.
"It's one of the most powerful sources of energy in the universe." Mike held up...something small, a clear crystal. "There's a cave up ahead. The lights have been shut inside for Scorpius gets his hands on that kind of power, there'll be no stopping him."
Leo took the crystal before looking at Mike. "He won't get it. Let's go."
We helped Mike up again but Sting Wingers were suddenly coming right at us. Leo and I stood in front of Mike and began to fight them off. Leo helped Mike, who was having trouble, before he helped him off and we ran away, heading towards the cave.
We made it after a few minutes of walking and we helped Mike sit on a boulder.
"You have to get inside." Mike told Leo. Leo nodded and walked over to the cave entrance- but it was blocked by a rock wall with a strange symbol. I stayed by Mike, watching.
He looked back at us once he reached it before leaning down and touch the symbol. It glowed blue for a moment before there was a small tremor and the panel with the symbol disappeared, leaving an opening in the rock wall. He slipped inside and disappeared.
"I hope Leo doesn't have much trouble in there." I murmured.
"I'm sure he'll be fine." Mike stated, though his tone sounded...different.
"Maybe I should follow in after-" I started to get up when I was hit in the back of the head, dropping me like rocks. The last scene I saw before blacking out was Mike walking towards the entrance without a problem.
"Neon, Neon! Come on, wake up! Neon!"
I groaned eyes slowly opening. "Leo…?"
"Oh thank god." He helped me sit up, which made me wince.
"What happened? Last thing I remember was getting knocked out- Mike!"
"I don't think that was Mike." Leo looked a little sad. "Come on, we have to get to the others."
I nodded and stood. We morphed and headed towards the others. There was Furio and another creature that was about to hand a silver case over. Leo and I quickly jumped in, tackling the monster to the ground.
"You're the fool to think you could keep something that doesn't belong to you!" Leo growled. The monster threw us off and threw the case over towards Furio but missed.
Leo was the first to stand and charge in at the monster but was ultimately thrown down. "Give it up, Ranger. You're no match for me!"
"Don't be so sure." Leo grunted as he laid on the ground.
"Look at you. You're a pathetic weakling like your brother."
I bolted and slam into the monster, making it go back a few feet before starting to send him a barrage of punches and kicks- but he was blocking all of them. He sliced me across the chest before kicking me away, sending me to the ground near Leo who was standing up.
"Obviously, you didn't know our brother, Mutantrum." Leo helped me to my feet and we stood side by side. "Quasar Saber!"
We both pulled our sabers from their holsters. We came charging and as Leo knocked the monster's weapon out of the way, I quickly slashed him across the chest. Leo jumped into the air and drop kicked him away.
The monster unleashed a energy attack, sending us flying and landing onto the ground. The others quickly came to us, surrounding us.
"Enough games! Let's finish them!" Furio stepped beside Mutantrum.
"Agreed." The two shot at us, making us fall to the ground and the box tumbled out of Miya's hand and stopped a few feet away.
"Oh, look what I found." Furio walked over and swiped up the box. "The Lights of Orion. They're mine now, pathetic rangers."
"I wouldn't get too attached!" Kai shouted over as we got to our feet.
"Transdagger, star formation!" Leo commanded and we put our daggers in the said formation. "Ready...fire!"
The blast hit the monster, making it fall to the ground. We made our to Furio who took off running with the container.
"Go." Kai told me and Leo. "We'll take care of the other one."
We nodded and bolted, going after Furio. The monster had grown after we left the others and they called upon the zords and combined.
"They're finally mine!" Furio laughed gleefully.
Leo jumped, making Furio stop and turned around only to get hit by Leo's saber.
"Furio, just hand them over!" Leo shouted as I came up beside him.
"You'll never get these from me!" Furio snarled before he took out his sword and charged. Leo charged in first and they slashed and stabbed at each other before Furio had Leo down on one knee. "Give up, red ranger!"
Furio kicked Leo in the side, making him go stumbling but Leo got to his feet and the two begin to battle again, Furio kicking Leo away and began to step forward but Leo quickly gained the upper hand, his saber against Furio's chest.
Furio managed to push him back and slashed at his chest, making Leo go flying. "You're lucky your brother isn't around to see your defeat."
"Wrong again, Furio!" Leo forced himself to get up while I ran over and helped him. "I'm not defeated. If there's one thing my brother taught me- taught us- it's to never give up! Quasar Saber, fire power!"
His saber started to glow red with energy and with one sweep of his saber, a wave of energy hit Furio, knocking him on his back and he let go of the box, it landing near us. I scrambled over as Leo kept his saber towards Furio and grabbed it. "Got them."
"Neon, look out!" I heard Leo shouted before I felt a searing pain in my back, making me almost fall forward and drop the container. I looked over my shoulder and saw Leo and Furio charging at each other but Furio was the one to get a hit in. Leo got to slash him back though and than they slashed each other at the same time, both getting hit and falling to their knees and than on their fronts.
I quickly went to Leo to check him before looking behind me and seeing Furio grabbing the box, standing and opening it.
"Empty?! It can't be! That's impossible!" Furio shouted in disbelief and rage. It was at that time Trakeena showed up and walked over to Furio, grabbing the box from him.
"Empty? Where are they, Furio?" She stared down at him. "Explain. My father will be enraged when he learns of your failure.
"No, please, give me one more chance! They must be hidden somewhere. I'll find them."
"Leo, Neon, are you okay?" asked Kendtrix as she and the others came running to our side.
"Yeah, we're fine." assured Leo.
"Red ranger, you'll regret this." Furio snarled as Trakeena threw the box behind her before she and Furio disappeared.
"They got away!" Leo huffed before he suddenly seized up and started to fall.
"Leo!" We quickly caught him and without a second thought, took him to Terra Venture where he was treated. Thankfully, he only had minor injuries, so he was able to leave when he wanted to.
We were all in Kai's room, Kai preparing to make some food- cookies or truffles, not sure which, while Miya, Kendrix and Damon watched. Leo, on the other hand, was leaning against a chair, looking out the window and at the stars. I was laying down- to the best of my abilities- on the couch, foreign sleep.
"Thinking about Mike? I heard Kendrix asked as she walked over to Leo.
"Yeah, I sure miss him." Leo murmured.
"I know, me too. He'd be so proud to see the way you fought for him today. I know I am."
Leo paused for a moment. "Thanks. You know what? I think I'm hungry after all."
"Should we wake Neon up?"
"No, let her sleep, she'll need it. Besides, she isn't much for baked goods." I felt someone sweep my bangs to one side before I heard them walking off.
It wasn't long before I fell asleep.
