A/N: This chapter is in three characters point of views. Their names are at the top of each part. I felt that Hitch's sounded better in third person. I hope you enjoy the chapter.

~Eren~

My will to fight left just a quick as it had appeared. My hope of ever escaping was now nonexistent. I don't remember what it's like to go to sleep and have a dreamless night. For the past few months I've stayed up until my body couldn't take it anymore and shut down on its own. The only thing I see when I close my eyes is the sneering face of my Master. I detest the term but I now it's true. He owns me, and I can't do anything about it.

This morning was like every other. I'm jolted awake by my own screams, covered in a sheen of cold sweat. My body aches and my stomach announces it's emptiness. I quickly look around the room, mortified at the idea of displeasing my master with my little slip of weakness. I let out a sigh of relief noticing he's nowhere in sight. I want to stay in bed longer, but my body can't take any more of this position.

I carefully move around the room picking up some clothes and moving into the adjoined bathroom. Turning the knob all the way letting the water stream out into the tub like a boiling waterfall. I try my best to strip the little clothes I have on without disturbing the welts and bruises all over my body. It's not an easy feat but I manage to finish before the water starts reaching the rim of the tub. I poured a cup of Epsom salt into the hot water and watched it dissolve before carefully lowering myself into the tub.

The hot water felt like it wanted to melt off my skin, but it never really came through with its promise. Sometimes I wish I could dissolve in the water like the Epsom salt. The only thing these baths manage to do is lessen the pain of most bruises and the redness of my welts. Sitting in the echoing silence of the bathroom with nothing but minuet splashes really resonates how empty I've become.

Not only do I look like a lifeless hollowed out shell, but I feel like it. I haven't felt anything but pain since I've been here. Well, that's a lie. The anger I felt at the beginning was strong and all consuming. Though Nile didn't like my anger. He would beat me and rape me bloody until I learned to be more complacent to his advances. Now he only hurts me when he's in a particular mood. He gets a disgusting satisfaction seeing me broken before he spills himself over my blood-stained body. After learning how to anticipate and conform with what was to come I've started to feel nothing. Sometimes I think of the days when I was 'happy' and I scoff at how fake my memories seem.

I've been sitting in the tub staring unblinkingly at my skeletal shell of a body for a whole ten minutes that the sound of knocking breaks me out of the haze.

"C-coming!" I reply as I try lifting myself out of the water.

"Don't strain yourself. It's only me." I hear Hitch's worried voice coming through the door.

I slow down my actions as to not hurt myself. After putting on some slacks and a loose gray cardigan over a white tank. I walked out of the bathroom with my back straight and steady legs. Though I tried to look calm I could tell she wasn't buying the act.

"You know why I'm here. Take off the cardigan and sit." She commanded in a low voice. I know she tries to keep a calm environment around me, but I'm glad when she uses a reprimanding tone. It reminds me of my mom, it makes me feel like I'm still human. I do as I'm told without bothering to hide my pain from her. She's seen me in worse situations than a few aches and bruises.

I can guess what she'll say just from the cringe taking over her face. "Where is the bandage around your wrist?" She asks.

"It felt better, so I took it off." I say as casually as I possibly can.

"He made you take it off, didn't he?"

I don't bother answering. She knows he did. The same thing happened with the bandage she placed over my shoulder the first time I met her. Nile doesn't like seeing anything on my body when I'm naked.

She took hold of my wrist and examined it with a critical act. It looks normal on the outside since the swelling went down but it still hurts to move it. She could tell from the small wince I made when she turned it over.

"I won't bother banding it again but do try to keep it still while it's healing." She said as she moved towards her bag. She pulled out a small pill bottle. "These should lessen the pain." I took them gratefully knowing she wasn't just referring to the pain in my wrist.

Hitch handed me a glass of water to take down some pills then helped me put my cardigan back on. "Thanks Hitch."

"No problem, Green Eyes." She said sitting next to me on the bed. "So, have you eaten anything yet?"

"Not yet." I replied feeling a bit queasy at the mention of food. My stomach is always in such a bundle of nerves at the thought of finding drugs in my food again, that I haven't been eating well. The only thing drug related I've put into my body are the ones given to me by Hitch. She knew about Nile pumping me full of drugs when I first came here, that she only gives me half the amount of dosages.

"Wait here a second, I'll get you something." I nod watching her leave. I trust her with my food, but my body has been through so much that any food makes me feel like vomiting. I'm grateful when she reenters with a small bowl of oatmeal. I can at least stomach some of it before I get halfway. She doesn't reprimand me but is instead enthusiastic at the little I did eat.

I chuckled a little at her praise and at that second Nile decides to show up. You don't have to be a mind reader to know he's furious. Before either one of us gets to say anything, he's stomping towards Hitch and grabs her arm in a vice.

"Nile stop this!" She screams as he's dragging her towards the door.

"Your still just a thirsty little bitch! He's all mine!" He sneers tossing to the floor of the hallway.

"He's a person NOT a possession!" She yells picking herself up. I instinctively step in her direction wanting to intervene but am stopped dead in my tracks by Nile's stone-cold stare.

"D-don't hurt her." Is all I'm able to choke out. Hating myself for not being able to do anything.

I know I've fucked us both over when I see the smirk spread over his face. In one swift step he's out of the room and locking the door behind him. I reach for the door knob in vain, trying the push myself against it. It's not long before I hear Hitch's screams echo down the hall, and I'm left alone with my own screams surrounding me.

I'm still huddled by the door when he returns. I instantly shut down the second I see blood splattered over his knuckles and on his shirt. I don't feel him roughly lift me off the floor and throw me on the bed. I don't register when he rips my clothes off. I barely feel the stinging plows of his belt hitting my naked body. I begin blacking out when he starts ramming into me. The only thing keeping my focus throughout the whole thing, is how the blood covering him seems to accumulate and spread.

~Hitch~

The brief flashes of fists and boots hitting her body is all she can recall. She is woken up to an abrupt jostle from inside a car. Looking out the window she can tell she's close to her sister's neighborhood. She winces when the car hits a pothole and jerks her around.

Nile hasn't hit her in years that it came as a surprise when he had dragged her down the hallway away from Eren. She knew he was out of his mind when he started accusing her of wanting Eren in a sexual manner. She cared for him, yes, but only in a brotherly fashion. She wanted to protect him.

Hitch knew she had to get Eren out and far away from Nile. She couldn't help while she was under the same roof as the monster. Now that she was being taken to her sisters place she had hope.

The car stopped in front of the familiar loft. She heard the passenger door open and soon a figure was standing in front of her window. The man opened her door and helped her out. Looking up she was happy to see the only person she had come to trust.

Marlow smiled down at her with sympathetic eyes and turned to wave the car off. He must have been the one to get her out of that place. No one leaves that place without Nile allowing it. He was getting himself into trouble to help her.

While she was busy worrying over Marlow's safety he had walked them up the stairs and knocked on the door. She was quickly met with steel gray eyes behind a pair of glasses. Hitch doesn't know what to do but chuckle to herself.

"Rico, I s-see you're still wearing. . . those goggles." Hitch says before slumping her weight into Marlow. She's too exhausted to do anything else but listen to Marlow and Rico talk frantically as they bring her into the loft.

They make quick work of getting her out of her bloody clothes and into a warm tub. Pretty soon she was sitting on a couch as they worked on bandaging her up. Rico disappeared into the room next to the living room. Leaving Marlow to finish up her right arm.

"Marlow. . ." She said quietly getting his attention. A small questioning hum was her response as he continued with his task. "Why did you get me out? You- Ah - you'll get in trouble if he finds out."

"I don't care." He said making sure the bandage was secure. He got up from his crouching position to sit next to her. "I just couldn't stand back and watch while he hurt you."

Even though Hitch was exhausted she couldn't help herself from reaching over and enveloping him into a hug. Marlow happily returned the hug lightly as to not hurt her. Rico came back into the room with a bottle of pills. They awkwardly pulled away from each other before Rico could say anything.

Rico handed Hitch a glass of water and some codeine pills. It didn't take long for Hitch to start fluttering her eyes. Once she was asleep Marlow fixed her position on the couch and laid a blanket over her.

"Keep an eye on her." Rico instructed as she headed towards the room she had come out of earlier. "I need to make a phone call."

~Levi~

It's been a little over three months since they've taken Eren and we haven't been able to find one lead. Eren's parents have been calling in every police officer, detective and investigator they can get. They've all come up empty. The local police have declared the case inactive until any evidence surfaces. We've tried helping in any way we can. Searching the whole city and even going as far as New Jersey. Not even our contacts have any information on Nile's whereabouts. It's almost as if his entire gang just vanished.

There was nothing we could do anymore. I've gone back to work selling our liquor and making deals with local speakeasies to get my mind off things. On the rare occasion that I have extra time I find myself driving up and down the backroads of New York.

Hoping to find what? I don't know. Sometimes I tell myself that I'll see Eren walking down an empty alleyway. Other times I try looking for some sort of clue that'll lead me to Nile. This night is no different from any other. I spent three hours driving down through the outskirts of New York with nothing to show for it.

It was close to midnight when I made it back to my place. Jean was still in the garage seemingly working on an engine. He's recently been working late whenever I go out for a drive. I know everyone's still worried about Eren, but it bothers me when they worry about me. I simply nod towards him in acknowledgment.

"Glad to see you all in one piece." He says jokingly wiping his hands on an oil-stained rag. "Armin and Erwin have been looking for you. They said it was urgent."

"Thanks." I mutter tossing him the keys to my car.

I start making my way towards my office knowing I'll find them there. My head starts wondering at the possibilities of what could be so urgent. The one thing that keeps crossing my mind as I climb the stairs is Eren. I shake it away not wanting to get my hopes up.

My breath is coming out in hurried puffs as I enter my office. Sure enough, Armin and Erwin are there waiting for me. Erwin is looking at a map while Armin talks over the phone. They both turn in my direction with unreadable expressions.

Armin tells the person over the phone about my presence then starts handing me the phone. I still don't know what's going on, but I take the phone anyway.

"Hello?"

"Levi? This is Rico, we worked together three years ago in Chicago." She says refreshing my memory to who I was talking to.

"Rico, it's nice to hear from you. What can I do for you."

"I'm not asking for any favors. I'm calling to repay a debt." She says calmly. "I know you've been looking for Nile."

"Where is he?" I practically seethed through the phone. The second she said his name I couldn't help the rage that exploded within me.

"He's in L.A. My sister has informed me that they've been hiding out here for a little over three months."

"We'll be there as soon as we can. Don't raise any suspicion " I tell her already formulating a plan in my head. "Thanks for the call."

"No problem. Give me a call when you're in town." Rico said before hanging up.

Erwin and Armin are standing side by side watching me intently. "Tell the others to pack up. We leave first thing tomorrow morning." Armin doesn't need much prompting and races out the door. Erwin stays behind giving me a hopeful smile.

"Don't worry, we'll get him back." He says before walking out.

The hope I was trying to quell on my way up here spreads. There's no point in squashing it now. I know we can get him back. It's going to be hard and one hell of a fight, but I'll get him back.
