Sorry for the later than late update on this- I have not abandoned it nor any of the others. Many of them need re writing, especially my older fics. But I plan to do that. And I've already begun on some.
I'm also trying to write longer chapters now. Which is also part of why it takes so damned long to get something done now.
It's been a crappy few weeks/months. I'm about to wind up homeless on top of some other things. So until then, I'm going to write what I can.
I've even managed to start two of my own crossover stories and even a My Hero Acedamia fic. All for one, though in my defense I just started getting into the anime series.
I'm prouder of the crossover fics since I don't know what the hell I'm doing on the My Hero Acedamia one. No one wants to give me an honest opinion.
So- here is this and I hope that you like it because it probably took me several weeks/months or longer to write it.
Later.
Unfortunately, there was no such thing as 'normal' when team Kakashi was involved in something. Which may have been why Tsunade had had to kick not just Naruto, but Sai and Tenzou out of her office here at the hospital later that day after their latest visit to see Sakura.
Apparently her student was suffering from memory loss. Which was a hell of an issue to face, but since it was Sakura and given the injuries that she'd had when she was brought in- memory loss to some extent was expected.
Which she wasn't going to lie, only made her job that much harder at the moment since she was looking for someone to stay with the girl. She had initially wanted to get Ino. But had figured that the two would murder each other. She had then thought about asking Hinata or Tenten, but then recalled that she had sent them off with their teams and they likely wouldn't be back for a month, perhaps longer.
Which left her with the...boys. She scrunched her nose up slightly as she thought about sticking one of the rookie nine with her former student. To be frank, she didn't like the idea of placing a hormonal and somewhat emotionally retarded boy in charge of Sakura's care.
While some of them were okay-ish, as caretakers- she'd seen their mission reports involving small children and the elderly. Not only that but the whole lot of them were stuck at that age where they were beginning to become sexually active.
Her poor girl would wind up knocked up within a week if she trusted one of them. She just knew it. So maybe someone more mature who would keep their hands to themselves?
Sai might have been a good canidate, if not for the fact that he liked Sakura. Tenzou wasn't much better. Which only left...Kakashi. Fucking fantastic. Tsunade thought as she sighed heavily before quickly following that particular thought with, I need a drink. No- wait! A million of them. However Shizune won't let me have them due to the liver damage and the possibility of dying from alcohol poisoning. Hn... Maybe if I explained to her just why I needed a million drinks, she would understand and give them to me.
Ah, to die of liver damage or alcohol poisoning... It would be far more preferable to speaking to Kakashi about temporarily moving in with Sakura. Odds were good that the man's head would explode or something when he heard of his predicament.
Well, either that of he'd attempt to assassinate her.
The odds for both were not only pretty good, but fifty, fifty each. Still, he was a much better choice than some of the others. So she supposed that she had no choice but to speak to him about taking care of Sakura until she was herself again.
Huffing slightly upon feeling the pressure building behind her eyes in an familiar way, she slowly stood up from her desk and decided to go and find the elusive and troublesome man and get this over with.
She walked through the halls a good way before, surprise, surprise- finding the Hatake precariously perched in a crouching position on the edge of a chair in Sakura's room attempting to get the pinkette to eat some soup. Pausing just outside of the room for several moments, Tsunade took the time to observe him.
She'd always known that underneath the emotionally retarded individual was a very kind and caring somewhat more emotionally retarded individual, but being able to observe him in his natural state was...just plain peculiar.
"Come on pretty girl, you need to open your mouth and eat. You've lost too much weight while you've been here." He said coaxingly as he tried to get the girl to take the spoon in her mouth. But she stubbornly refused to do so. If the thin set of her lips was anything at all to go by.
Still this didn't discourage him any. He just kept on holding the spoon out and speaking at her in a coaxing tone until he finally decided that if she wouldn't eat the soup then he would. Thus showing her just how good it really was.
However upon pulling his mask down and taking the spoon into his mouth, he choked at the taste of the stuff and quickly found a newly washed bedpan to spit it out in before turning to catch her eye and quickly gave her an somewhat awkward smile before simply saying. "Okay. You win. When I leave in a bit to go home and shower and stuff I'll grab you a burger and some onion rings with your favorite dipping sauce and a chocolate shake."
Sakura smiled a little bit as he reached out and ruffled her shoulder length hair before muttering something about hiding the evidence of wasted soup before someone caught them both. Eliciting a smirk from Tsunade as she thought, that perhaps having Kakashi watch after her pupil wouldn't be such a bad idea after all.
Though he was strangely sweet and awkward, he certainly seemed to know what he was doing. And in the end, that was all that mattered.
