Ariel didn't like getting frustrated or angry. She was known as a sweet, kind young woman, and she hated when she was in a bad mood. But she was human, and like any other human, sometimes she got in bad moods, even if for no reason at all.
However, over the years, Ariel discovered that the best way to deal with her anger and frustration is by going to the ocean. Whether it be an argument with Eric or Melody or a bad decision made for the kingdom, the ocean had a way to soothe her.
Today, she and Eric had gotten into a petty argument, but it left her feeling upset. The former mermaid abruptly left the castle, alone, and headed straight to the beach. She found a lonely spot on the beach, away from all the people, and sank her toes into the wet sand.
After taking a deep breath, she continued to stand in the ocean, breathing deeply as she embraced her sense of feeling. The cool water flooded her feet, the salty sea air blew over her body, sending her hair in swirling strands of red. Whenever she felt negative, these exact sensations calmed her down and brought her back to her regular, happy self.
The former mermaid stayed there for almost an hour, thinking of nothing as she embraced the beautiful, therapeutic ocean she was proud to have called her home.
Afterwards, she felt relaxed, calm, and ready to make up with Eric. There were many reasons she loved the beach, but her absolute favorite reason had to be the way it made her always feel: happy, relaxed, and at peace, no matter what her prior mood had been.
