London, England

Black Manor

"I'm leaving England." The remark was met by silence as Harley Potter looked between her two best friends who seemed not surprised at her announcement. "I can't handle being here anymore." She added, as their eyebrows only raised and they studied their best friend. "You don't seem very surprised." Harley remarked dryly as she looked between Ron and Hermione

"That's because we're not." Ron replied casually as he picked up his tea and took a sip. Ron and Hermione had known for a while now that Harley would want to leave the country, and they didn't blame her. They all had bad memories, more than good memories now a days.

"Where were you thinking we should go?" Hermione asked with curiosity shining in her eyes. She looked her seventeen-year-old friend older carefully. Harley appeared older than her years in that moment. Her friend's intelligent and dazzling emerald green eyes still sparkled in the light, but they had a look of sadness and tiredness in them, that hadn't been there before. She no longer smiled as much as she use to. She still tried to fake that she was fine, but Ron and Hermione had noticed the change.

Every day the pair wondered why it had to happen to Harley. Why did this have to happen to such a beautiful and generous girl? From the very beginning Harley never had a chance at a normal life. At only fifteen months old, she had lost her parents. Then she was sent to live at a her relatives, who abandoned her at an orphanage. Then she was brought into the Wizarding World and targeted by one of the worst dark wizards imaginable every year while she was in Hogwarts, up until their fifth year.

Over the course of her life, Harley had lived in an Orphanage, up until her fifth year in Hogwarts. It was around this time that her godfather's were able to finally take her in. After Dumbledore realized the fifteen-year-old needed better protection then what the Orphanage she lived in had. They had to all experience watching people they care about die in front of them. Harley had always wanted to be better then Voldemort and his Death Eaters went it came to dealing with them. However, she had no other choice but to stoop to their level.

It was a kill or be killed situation. They had no other choice but to do what they had to, if they wanted to survive. No teenager should have had to deal with that. Harley should have never had to deal with the pressure and obligations that nearly pushed her to her breaking point. Hermione and Ron could only hope that they were ashamed of themselves. That they regretted pushing Harley so harshly, even it they could never take it back. The Order and Ministry officials began o train her, and them by affiliation, after her fifth year for the final battle. In doing so they had succeeded in making her their most sufficient weapon, their perfect solider.

It has only been five, nearly six months, since the war ended. It's been four months since she was given custody of her godchildren, after their parent's death. The Ministry, and any remaining adults that were around when Harley had taken charge of the war, had deemed her old enough to take care of two children.

"I'm honestly not sure." The raven haired girl said as she took a seat. She didn't even act surprised at her best friends decision of coming with her. "I was hoping that you two could help us decided." The trio shared a looked between each other, their silent communication had made them excellent fighters during a battle, before nodding in agreement. Hermione grabbed her wand from the table and gave it a swift flick, causing a large map to suddenly appear that showed the Americas, with their different cities and towns.

"Well I had a –" Hermione paused as something caught her attention from the corner of her eye. "What the hell!" She snapped out loudly. She quickly jumped up from her spot on the chair and up onto the chair she was sitting at. Four rats came scurrying into the kitchen from the living room. Harley looked from the rats to Hermione with a chuckle, as Ron himself began to laugh. "Harley!" Hermione demanded as she turned to her best friend with a stern expression. She still remained standing on the tables chair. The affect of trying to be stern, while standing on top of a chair, was lost as her best friend as they began to laugh harder. Hermione hated rats, especially after Peter Pettigrew. She never did trust them after that, who knew if the rat was a person.

"Yes?" The girl questioned innocently. Her green eyes glittered mischievously while an innocent smile graced her lips.

Hermione glared at her friend in annoyance as her eyebrows furrowed together. "What did you do?" She demanded of her friend. Eyes stared with disgust as they continued to glance at the rats in the kitchen.

"Me…why I did nothing." Harley replied innocently. Her cheeky smile and sparkling eyes failed to portray her picture of innocence.

Hermione continued to give her friend a stern look with her hands on her hips. "Harley…" Hermione began in warning as she glared at her best friend. "Who are they…assuming they're people." The brunette stated, causing Harley to sigh and cross her arms at her friends not so amused stance.

"Well…" She began slowly as she looked between her best friends. "I might have changed some reporters from Witch Weekly, The Daily Prophet, Wizarding Weekly, and Magical Daily." The girl stated with an impish smile as her friend continued to look cross at her. Ron snorted in laughter at his best friend. Harley did hate the reporters for their disregard for a persons privacy. "Those arseholes deserved it!" She exclaimed with a smirk. "They were peeking in through the window and searching through the garbage like the rats they are." Harley explained. "So…I turned them into rats to express how I thought of them." She shrugged with a casual glance at the transfigured reporters.

Ron snorted and choked on his tea, as he began to laugh harder. His laughter resonated through the kitchen as Hermione gave looks of disgust at the rats and cursed Harley creatively. It merely made the red head and raven haired girl laugh more.

"You have to change them back Harley." Hermione stated with a shake of her head and small smile. While she did hate rats, she had to admit that it was funny. She shuddered as the rats went scurrying underneath her chair. Her hands curled and uncurled into fists as she tried to remain calm.

"That – that – is priceless." Ron choked out as he continued to laugh at the reporters expense. The sound of the reporters turned rats squeaking fear caught the trios attention. The three glanced over to the doorway to see Crookshanks quietly stalking the rats as he wandered into the kitchen. An amused expression graced Harley and Ron's face as they looked from the cat to the rats.

Hermione looked towards her cat with a sigh. "Crookshanks!" She called out to her pet. "No! Bad boy! Don't hunt the transfigured rats." She ordered to the ratty cat, who merely ignored his human and continued to hunt the rats.

"Fine, I'll save them from the demon cat." Harley finally grumbled out with a frown. "Take the fun out of everything Crookshanks." The girl complained as she quickly shooed the reporters out of the kitchens back door. Crookshanks made to lung at one of the rats, but was swiftly kicked away by Harley. Crookshanks gave a hiss and growl before scampering out of the kitchen and back into the living. With a wave of her hand, the rats turned back into humans. The reporters scanned the area around them with confusion. "Oi!" The seventeen-year-old hollered from the doorway. Her arms crossed beneath her breasts as she leaned against the door. "What the hell are you doing on my property?" She demanded while fighting a smile of amusement. "Leave! Before I make you leave!" She ordered. Harley watched as the wizards and witch reporters quickly scurried off, disappearing from sight as they jumped over the hedges and took off running. That would teach them to hide in the garbage and look through her windows. Pushing herself off of the doorway with a smirk, she slammed the door shut behind her.

"Come on Mione. Those peeping reporters deserved it." Ron laughed with a smile. His bright blue eyes sparkled with enjoyment as he took another drink of his tea. Hermione was once again sitting across from Ron. "They won't bugger off about Harley defeating Voldemort. They keep giving her a hard time 'bout it." The red haired teenager said with a smile. "She deserves a bit of fun." He finished with a shrug and loud burp.

Harley laughed lightly and shook her head at her friend. "Exactly." The girl said as she walked over to the fridge. "They don't know when to quit. And that is why I want to move to." Harley added with a smile as she looked at her friends.

"Where would we go?" Hermione questioned. Her intelligent chocolate brown eyes glittered in the light from the kitchen as she looked the map over thoughtfully.

"I don't know." The raven-haired witch replied with a shrug. She grabbed the handle to the fridge door and opened it. Her vivid green eyes scanned the contents of the fridge for something to eat. She hadn't eaten at all that today and it was about time she did. Her pale hand rose to the shelves and searched through the many condiments and containers full of food. The girls mind raced with ideas for where they could move, before a sudden exclamation from her female best friend caused her to jump and hit her head on the top of the fridge inside.

"Forks!" Hermione exclaimed excitedly. Her bright eyes sparkled at her realization as she looked up from the map. She had been staring at the map as she tried to figure out a place to move to that no one else would be able to find them.

"Bloody hell!" Ron cursed at once as he jumped. Ron jumped from his spot at the table, spilling his tea on his shirt.

Harley rubbed the back of her sorehead with her hand. She turned to face Hermione with a raised eyebrow. The rings she wore on her hand glittered as it caught the beams of light coming from the kitchen windows. The first ring was silver and on her left hand's pointer finger. It displayed two snakes wrapped around one another. One snake had emerald green eyes while the other snake had blue gray eyes. The second ring was on her right hand's pointer finger. It had engravings on the inside of it, with a large emerald diamond in the middle with smaller clear white diamonds along side of the large diamond. If Harley were to take the ring off her finger and look inside it would have her parents name, Lily Rose Evans-Potter & James Alexander PotterLove Ever Lasting, across it. The young sixteen year old had discovered it in one of her vaults when she went searching through it after the war. There was three other rings on her hand, the Potter Family ring, the Black Family ring, and the Peverell Family ring. She had other Family rings from extant families, that had been given to her due to those families wills. She kept those rings in a jewelry box.

"There are forks in the drawers Mione." Harley grunted with a huff. She continued to rub her pounding head. "You didn't have to screech it out." The girl muttered under her breath. Though it was not as quiet as she had thought when she muttered it.

"I did not screech." Hermione snapped back. "Anyways, I'm not talking about forks that you eat with. I meant the town Forks. It located in the state of Washington." Hermione replied with a roll of her eyes.

Harley and Ron shared a look. That name did sound familiar, now that she thought about it. Where had they heard that name before?

"Why does that sound oddly familiar?" The two questioned slowly as they looked between each other and then to the very exasperated witch in front of them.

"Isn't that where Sirius and Remus live?" Harley suddenly asked with a tilt of her head.

Hermione nodded, "Yes, it is. Not only that, but it's a small town." She added, for both of her best friends benefits. "It's cloudy nearly all the time and no one would think of trying to find us there Harley." The brown haired witch stated. Her hair was no longer frizzy as it had once been when they were children. After her losing the battle against Harley, and Ron's younger sister Ginny, the pair had teamed up to give Hermione a make over. Her hair was silky and cut rather short, in a pixie bob that showed off her pretty face.

Harley stood silently as she leaned against the counter in the kitchen. She tapped her right hands pointer finger against her chin as she looked at the ceiling silently in thought. This could work. If she went to Forks Washington, no one would think to look for her there. It was a perfect and logical place to go. A large grin crossed Harley's face as she realized that she would be able to see her godfather's as well. She looked down from the ceiling and over at one of her best friends. "Mione, you're brilliant." She explained with a slow nod of her head. "This is good. We could leave, go to Forks Washington and live a normal life there for a while." She said with excitement starting to build.

"From that recent I did for finding any family, I discovered that I have a distant cousin that lives there on my mum's side." Harley explained. "This cousin is known as Charlie Swan. It looks like he also has a wife and kid too." She said with a small smile. Ron and Hermione looked to each other with nods and smiles. "The side affect of moving there –" Harley began slowly, causing her friends to look at her with confused looks on their faces. "Is we can't use magic, wands anyways." She warned. They didn't want any of the magical communities to know that they were living there. "We should also change our names when we go to Forks Washington." She added as silence settled over the trio of friends. They had been through thick and thin, and this was just going to be another trial that they would have to overcome.

"I'm with you all the way Harley. We've been through a lot already. This won't be the hardest thing we have ever done together." The brunette stated with determination. "It might be nice to be someone else." Hermione added with a gracious smile curling her lips.

"I agree with Mione, Harley. This is nowhere near the hardest thing that we have ever done together." Ron remarked, as he looked between his two best girls. They had each others back, through thick or thin. They would always be there for each other.

"Now that we've decided what we are going to do, I should go check on the kids." She added as she pushed away from the counter. "Can you guys pack up what we need from our rooms?" She asked. "I'll pack up the kids room and then write to Sirius and Remus." She said as she walked across the kitchen towards the hallway. "Also, could you book us some tickets for the plane Mione?" The raven-haired girl questioned with a raise of her eyebrow.

"Of course. It shouldn't be hard." Hermione replied. "Now go check on the kids." The older girl ordered with a warm smile on her face.

Black Manor

Upstairs

"Ello lovely." Harley whispered with a warm smile. She looked down at the wide awake two-year-old little boy. She smiled at the sight of his hair and eyes matching her own. She gave a small chuckle as the little boy raised his arms with his hands opening and closing with aggravation. The older girl chuckled as she reached down and lifted the toddler in her arms. "Did you have a good sleep Teddy?" She questioned the small boy with a warm smile.

"Mhm." Teddy hummed as he wrapped his small pale arms around her neck. His head turned to rest on her shoulder. Harley casually flicked her hands, causing the little boys room to start packing itself. Turning away from the packing room, she looked back down at Teddy. It made her heart ache with the fact that Teddy made himself look so much like her. Whom he believed was his own mother. "Mama. I'm hungry." The two-year-old said as he tightened his arms around her neck. Harley's heart broke at him calling her his mother. Even though it also warmed her heart at the same time. She was glad he loved her enough to think of her like that, but he was another Orphan caused from the second war. The young boy would never know his parents, who had fought and died to give their son a chance at life. He would never know his grandparents, who had also died protecting him from Death Eaters. Harley had fiercely battled with those very same Death Eaters nearly fifteen months ago, and saved the small eight-month-old boy to give him a chance at life.

Harley's pale right hand rubbed his back in soothing circles as she hummed and made her way to the second room in the second story house. "We'll get you some food soon baby." The girl replied as she wandered past pictures hanging on the wall. The house she and her best friends resided in was large. It had nearly a dozen bedrooms, six bathrooms, a kitchen, dining room, ball room, library, den, backyard, and basement. Harley pushed open the decently sized bedroom that was besides Teddy's bedroom. It was a nursery for the other child she was left to raise.

There had been so many lives were lost in the war, and it made Harley's heart hurt at the thought. She hadn't been able to save everyone. She had accepted that fact and learned to live with the guilt. She couldn't wallow in self pity, no matter how much she wanted to at times. She had two children that made her day brighter and kept her going through the hard and difficult times.

"Sista." The little boy muttered as he lifted himself up off the seventeen-year-old's shoulder. He kept his arms around her neck as he looked at the baby girl lying in the crib, a year younger than him.

"Yeah…that's your sister." The girl muttered with a sad smile as she walked across the room. The crib lay beneath the windows that emitted a cool breeze. She stopped at the crib and placed her free hand on top of the white wood. She gazed down at the wide-awake one-year-old that was giggling to herself. "Sweet innocent Cassie." Harley sighed. At the sound of her voice little Cassiopeia looked up with bright sapphire blue eyes, so much like her mothers. Her hair was a light blonde color, that she had gotten from her father. She was a splitting image of both her parents. "Hi sweetheart. Have a good nap?" She questioned with a loving smile down at her goddaughter. It was hard raising two children, but considering she was the only one they had, Harley knew it was worth the stress of caring for the them. It was better then being raised in an Orphanage by any means. It was fortunate that Harley had more money then she knew what to do it. All the money left to her by her parents and other magical families after they became extant.

"Mama." The one-year-old cooed up at the familiar raven haired beauty. The little raised her hands up in the universal signal all children made when they wanted to be picked up. Harley bent down, with the two-year-old still in her other arm, and expertly picked up the small girl in her free arms. Cassie, short for Cassiopeia, laid her head on the young woman's shoulder and gave a small yawn. Wide sapphire blue eyes gazed around the room in curiosity as Harley made the room begin to pack itself up.

Harley's footsteps echoed through the hallway as she made her way down the staircase and to the kitchen. From upstairs she could hear the sound of Hermione and Ron making the rooms pack themselves, while still bickering. Rolling her eyes at the usual habits of her best friends, she walked into the kitchen. She stopped as she realized that while she needed to feed the kids, she would need help.

"Mione! Ron!" Harley hollered up the staircase, making the two children in her arms startle at her loud holler. "Sorry loves." She apologized to the wide eyed children.

"Yeah Harley?" Ron questioned from the top of the staircase. His hair fell into his face as he looked down at his best friend and the two children in her arms.

"Can you help me feed the little ones?" She questioned with a small smile. With a nod Ron jogged down the stairs and took Cassie from Harley's arms and followed the girl into the kitchen.

London, England

London Heathrow Airport

Early Morning

"Why couldn't we have gone to Arizona?" Ron asked again as followed the two females into the the airport. Harley pushed Teddy and Cassie in the stroller as the small group made their way through the crowded airport towards check in. The bags, that Hermione and Ron were carrying, would be taken once they were weighed and placed on a conveyor belt where they would be placed on their plane. Her best friends had decided to make her the designated baby stroller pusher.

"Too hot and too big." Hermione replied with a roll of her eyes.

"Alaska?" Ron suggested. They walked past the large massive crowd of mundanes to reach their airplane.

"Too cold. Especially for Teddy and Cassie." Hermione replied to her boyfriend with patience. Harley was honestly surprised that she wasn't annoyed yet. She was staring to get annoyed and she wasn't even answering Ron's questions.

"Los Angeles?" Ron asked curiously. He had always wanted to see what that city was like.

"Too dangerous and busy." The brunette replied as she adjusted the bags she was carrying. Voices floated through the room as numerous people conversed with each other or said goodbye.

"New York City? We've never been there before, just like every other place." Ron said while he moved out of the way of a frantic family trying to get to their airplane.

"No Ronald." Hermione huffed with a roll of her eyes. "New York is overcrowded, busy and loud. That is definitely not a place we should raise two children." The girl remarked in her know-it-all tone of voice that she didn't use very often anymore.

"What about Italy?" Ron asked. Harley was beginning to think that Ron was purposely being an arse. "It's sunny and pretty there." Which from the pictures he had seen, the words he just used to describe it, didn't do it much justice.

Harley finally spoke up after getting annoyed with their bickering. "No, Ron." She snapped. "You remember in DADA?" She asked rhetorically. "How they explained it was dangerous there. That Volterra, Italy in particular was a place that no magical's should ever visit?" She added to the red head. "It's also still an European country and we're trying to get away from Europe." Harley huffed with a shake of her head. Her unruly raven black locks fell into her eyes as she continued to walk determinedly through the crowds. Teddy and Cassie remained silent in the stroller. She wondered if the pair had fallen asleep.

"Fine." Ron gave in with a roll of his eyes.

"It's a small town Ron." Harley laughed in amusement, though it didn't show in her eyes. "I highly doubt that there is anything dangerous there." She added with a smirk. "There's the bonus that no one will think of us going there. You know they'll still be looking for me, even with the war over." She said with a frown. "Everyone will be looking to me to fix up everything that's happened because of the second war." Finally catching sight of their flight an eager smile made her lips curl into a smile. She was going to finally leave England and no was there stop them from going. "Come on guys, it's time to board our flight. I can't wait to see the guys when we get to Washington." With a bounce in her step Harley walked faster towards the plane.

Over the last couple of years, Harley had become an expert at hiding her emotions behind a mask of happiness, cheerfulness and friendliness. Her much darker emotions, the ones that had been brought out to the surface during the war, had been pushed away to hopefully never be released or confronted again. Hermione and Ron knew, sooner or later, that her barrier was going to break, and they just hoped there would be someone to help her. Perhaps even save her from her pain.

"This is going to be good for all of us." Ron stated with a small smile. Hermione gave a smile and kissed her boyfriend gently on the lips.

"Come on you guys. You can make out in the planes bathroom later." Harley called out loudly, making many eyes to turn to her two friends. They blush a bright red and glared daggers at their friend. Harley merely smiled and winked before getting ready to board the plane with her tickets, the children's tickets, and her best friends tickets already in hand.

Next chapter will be more interesting, they're be in Forks Washington by then and getting ready for their new lives as 'Mundanes'. Hermione and Ron's names are obviously changed too. In this story, it's easy for the Ministry to track down witches or wizards by names and if they use magic, which I'll explain more in depth in the story moves further along.

Hermione will be changing her name to Harmony Black, which they can still call her Mione and Ron will have his name changed to Aaron Black, which they still can call him Ron. The kids will be Theodore Evans and Cassiopeia Evans. You'll learn more on why they had to change their names, not only because of the Ministry and everyone else.

Read and review if you'd like. I would enjoy hearing what you had to say. No flames though, unless it is constructive criticism.
