Okay, hi. It's been a while, but this is extra long. This story wasn't meant to go on so long. Anyway, I have a new Nico di Angelo story up and I'll be posting one-shots and stuff over the next couple of days.
Please pretend that Cas had a crush on Dean before they were roomed together and that was part of the problem when they ended up together.
Also, narrowed my sexuality to asexual or demisexual (thank you Tie-Dyed Broadway!) and then panromantic. Thanks everyone who sent in support or just sweet comments.
Have a great day, everyone!
Fez.
It was maybe ten minutes later, when Charlie was debating whenever MARVEL was going to tell the fans what happened in Budapest, with Ash.
Mr Evans walked out of the room, blood on his T-shirt. He gave Castiel a wry smile, when the boy jumped to his feet, Charlie close behind him.
"Is he okay?" Castiel blurted.
Mr Evans nodded his head, a forced smile on his face. Castiel's heart dropped.
"He's going to spend the night in my room, where we can keep an eye on him. It's just a graze, but we want to make sure."
Castiel swallowed, the amount of blood he'd seen, going in there and the splatters on the teacher's shirt, didn't seem like they'd come from a skin wound.
Mr Evan's disappeared inside and Charlie put a hand on Castiel's shoulder.
"See, he's gonna be okay. We need to get back to our dorms now, before we get yelled at. Remember if you need me, I'm in room 221." the fangirl gave a small smile at the luck she had, being put in a room with a fandom reference.
Castiel nodded and Benny gave him an one-armed hug while Ash held his hand up.
"He'll be fine. He's gotten through worse." Benny's face seemed sad and for a second, Castiel wondered if something had happened (platonically) between Benny and Dean.
Charlie walked down the hall to her room, and knocked, smiling reassuringly at Castiel who swallowed hard and raised an hand. Ash clapped him on the back and he and Benny went on the opposite direction to Castiel, Chuck letting them in.
Meg leaned out of the door Charlie just disappeared into and gave him a thumbs-up.
"It's going to be fine, Novak." Castiel nodded jerkily, a thin smile on his face. She pulled back and Castiel nodded his head, a tiny smile on his face.
A few minutes later, Mr Evan's came out, supporting a pale blood-streaked Dean.
"Cas..." the boy slurred and Castiel involuntarily started forwards, before Mr Evan's waved him away, heaving the tawny-haired boy down the hall.
"Have a good night sleep, Castiel. Miss Jennings is just cleaning up your bathroom now."
Castiel stood, lost in the hallway, watching as his classmate was lugged down the hallway.
Miss Jennings cane out with a smile and blood on her face. The amount of blood on everyone who entered that room was severely worrying Cas about how injured Dean was.
"It's all fine now." The teacher lilted in her Welsh accent. "Do you know what he was doing?"
Castiel frowned, he hadn't even though of why his roommate was having a shower at four in a morning.
"He woke me up, by singing. He was in the shower, singing Mika. Then there was a massive crash and I went to see what happened. I- I kinda..." Castiel faltered, chancing a sheepish grin up at the twenty-something woman.
"Broke the door down?" She laughed and Castiel sighed in relief. It didn't look like he would be in much trouble, he had saved another student, after all.
"Yeah, it was an emergency. I didn't mean to break anything."
"Nothing was broken, it's okay Castiel." Miss Jennings reassured him.
"Oh. Okay then. Is Dean going to be alright?" Castiel was cold and mostly wanted to go back to sleep, in case this was a dream. He really hoped it was.
"It's just a graze, he'll be okay. Go to sleep now, Castiel .See you in the morning," then she laughed, one hand going to press at her chest, but ended up brushing at the dried blood on her front. "Well, in a few hours."
Castiel laughed politely and went into his room, ducking his teachers arm as she held the door open for him, like Dean had, only a few hours before.
He closed the open bathroom door, the reek of bleach drifting into his room.
He glanced once at Dean's bed, the boy's sleeping clothes, a Metallica T-Shirt and grey tracksuit bottoms, were crumpled on the sheets.
Sighing Cas dropped back onto his bed, tiredness overtaking him.
He closed his eyes, the covers bunched under his chin and the quilt tucked under his feet.
He fell, quickly, into a deep restless sleep, his dreams images of Dean with blood pouring down his face, the sneers of the other boys, the looks of pity on Charlie's face.
He could only that, when he woke up, things would be better.
I've got to finish one-shots that will be up... Tonight? Then this will be finished (for certain, this time) in the next week or so.
