Hey everyone, here's the latest chapter for the fanfic.

Those of you that are followers might have received a notification for a new chapter that was uploaded as chapter 6. This was actually a mistake. I had been reviewing the older chapters and found a rather noticeable typo in the text of chapter 4. At the time I didn't know about the "Replace/Update Chapter" feature. So I had deleted my previous chapter 4 and re-uploaded it (it uploaded as chapter 6 but then I changed it so it was chapter 4), so that's why everyone got a notification about that.

On a side note, to the guy who anonymously reviewed the re-uploaded chapter 4 (which was uploaded yesterday as chapter 6) and told me "This isn't new moron". I don't appreciate that at all. If you have a problem with my writing or notice that I made a mistake of sorts, send me a PM. That way we can have a direct, easy communication and I'll be able to fix the problem faster or clear it up if it is a misunderstanding.

Anyways, here's chapter 7. This so far has been my favorite chapter to write.

Enjoy :)

Murray stood there and looked at the two girls that had just arrived. He had no idea what to say. "Umm… Hi."

Yang stood there with a dumbfounded look on her face. She had just seen a walking talking pink hippo fire punch a hole in an Ursa's chest. "H-hey…" she spoke quietly as she tried to make sense of the situation.

Ruby brought her hands up to her face, "that, was, awesome! Your hands were all like vroosh then your punch went boom and then there was fire everywhere like roar!" She spoke with a very fast and excited tone.

Sly had climbed down from the van's turret. "I agree with you Ruby. That was the best I've seen from him so far." He had been impressed with how much Murray's fighting techniques had improved since he had started to train under the Panda King.

Bentley wheeled up beside Sly. "So Sly, you know these two?" he motioned towards Yang and Ruby.

"Oh," Ruby exclaimed. "He knows me, I'm Ruby Rose!" she said with a smile.

Murray had walked over to Sly and Bentley to meet the red caped girl. "Nice to meet ya Ruby, I'm Murray," he said happily.

"I'm Bentley, it's nice to meet you miss Rose. Who's your friend?" Bentley spoke with a neutral but friendly tone.

Yang was still confused as to what the three of them were. Walking, talking raccoon, turtle and pink hippo. I must be dreaming.

"This is my older sister Yang, I told her about Sly earlier today and she kinda wanted to meet him."

Sly chuckled, "I guess hearing your little sister talk about some guy living in the woods doesn't sound very reassuring." He walked up to Yang, holding out his gloved hand. "Nice to meet you, I'm Sly Cooper."

Yang snapped out of the state she was in and shook his hand firmly. "Yang Xiao Long, nice to meet you. Hey um, I hope you don't mind me asking. But where do you all come from?"

Bentley frowned slightly at the question.

"We're not from around here." Sly rubbed the back of his head

"And uh..." Yang hesitated for a moment, "what are you?" She spoke as nicely as possible.

Sly hadn't reacted to the question's rudeness. "That's a little harder to explain..."

Bentley interjected. "Listen, we'll gladly explain our situation to you. But it'll have to wait. We need to get our hideout set up as quick as possible." Bentley wheeled past them and to the van.

Yang watched Bentley wheeled past them. "What's with him?"

"He just wants to get our cave hideout set up as soon as possible, and for good reason. It's the only place where a psychotic mega bird can't get at us." The two sisters could hear the seriousness in Sly's voice.

Ruby looked puzzled but intrigued. "A uh, mega bird?"

"Yeah, he's pretty big." He looked Ruby up and down. "I'd say that his talons would be able to grasp you entirely. God help you if that ever happens."

Yang looked at Ruby and back to Sly. "Ruby was attacked by a giant bird earlier today, we thought it was a creature of Grimm, but we've never seen anything like it."

"So he's close by? That doesn't make things easier. Have you told anyone about him?" Sly looked at the two sisters with worry.

Ruby shifted nervously on her feet. "We told the headmaster of our school, he didn't seem too worried about it though."

"Okay... We'll have to look into the situation a little more to figure out what to do. Is there a way we could contact you?"

Ruby thought of an idea. "What if I lend you my scroll? You could call Yang's and we could talk to each other that way." The little red head looked to her older sister for approval.

Yang nodded to her in response. "I'm okay with that, my contact's already in there."

Sly thanked Ruby as she passed him her scroll. He observed it quickly. "Looks fancy, can it surf the web like a computer?"

"Yep, it's basically a pocket computer and a phone, you'll have a good signal pretty much anywhere." Ruby exclaimed.

"Awesome, Bentley could use this to get informed about the area. Thanks for your help." Sly gave the two sisters a friendly smile.

"Glad to help," Yang looked at Ruby, "C'mon Rubes, let's get back to the dorm, it's getting late."

"Okay, bye guys!" Ruby gave the Cooper gang a goodbye wave.

Each of them responded with a wave. "Be safe!" Sly exclaimed.

Bentley rolled up beside Sly as the two sisters left. "What's that?" Bentley motioned to Ruby's scroll in Sly's hand.

Sly held it out to him. "Your key to the world, it's basically a mini computer with unlimited signal range."

Bentley grabbed the scroll and began to observe it. "Neat, I can gather information while you and Murray get the cave set up." Bentley immediately began to surf the web on the scroll, typing out mass amounts of information onto his laptop simultaneously.

"Sure thing bud." Sly went to help Murray with the gear he was setting up.

As Bentley surfed the web, he passed by an article talking about attacks on villages and nearby small towns. He read the article piece by piece. "Village wiped out in surprise attack... White fang the culprit? No signs of ground troops, suggests aerial attacks?" Bentley suddenly realized something. The way the buildings looked after the attack, the pattern of aerial bombing, it was all too familiar. The despair he felt was heard in his voice. "It's him... It's Clockwerk..."

[that night - 11:30pm]

The pilot of the central bullhead turned on the comms to communicate with the other two bullheads beside her. "This is Falcon one, approaching target, ETA two minutes. Falcon two and three please confirm, over."

"Falcon two to Falcon one, dust missiles are primed and ready, over."

"Falcon three to Falcon one, all systems are green, heavy guns ready for combat, over."

"Falcon one to Nest, broadcasting video to you now, over."

From the other end of the comms, General Ironwood answered. "Nest to Falcon one, we have visual of the feed, commence operation, over."

The pilot of Falcon one took a nervous gulp. "Roger Nest. All units follow my lead, we should have a visual of the target in T minus thirty seconds."

For a solid thirty seconds the three bullheads flew side by side in a triangular formation. The silence of the night air instilling fear in the pilots as they scanned the area for a visual of their target.

"This is Falcon one, we have visual of the base... Everything's gone... No visuals on any survivors or the target..."

The pilot noticed the shine of the moon on her display board had disappeared for a split second. That was when she realized something. "All bullheads, evasive maneuvers now!" The pilot immediately veered the bullhead backwards. Falcon two had maneuvered away in time, but Falcon three burst into flames as a giant metal wing ripped through it. "Heavy guns are down! Falcon two fire those missiles when you have a clear shot!"

The giant metal bird shrugged off the destroyed bullhead and started to fly away from the two remaining bullheads. The comms came back alive as Falcon two steadied. "Missiles firing Falcon one, stay clear." Two missiles suddenly launched from Falcon two's bullhead, they flew towards the large metal bird trying to make its escape. Falcon one held her breath as she saw the missiles fly off, silently hoping for them to work.

The missiles impacted directly into the bird, making a large and glorious explosion where the bird once was. Falcon two screamed over the comms, "Direct hit! That bird is history!"

Falcon one sighed in relief as she turned her head to look over at Falcon two's bullhead, "Nice shot Falcon two. I couldn't have done it better my..." Her own voice was caught off as fear took a hold of her. Behind Falcon two's bullhead was the metal bird, mangled but alive. It looked at her with eyes so red you thought they were pools of glowing blood.

The bird slashed its claws clean through the bullhead, shredding the hull and everyone inside, to pieces. Falcon one just watched, unable to say or do anything. "How are we supposed to win... Against that?" The giant bird took hold of Falcon one's bullhead and brought it closer to its face so the cockpit and the camera got a good look at it.

The bird's red eyes gave it an intense stare as it laughed a deep sinister laugh. "You lose again, General."

Clockwerk crushed the bullhead in his claws, killing the last survivor of Falcon squad.

I hope you enjoyed the chapter. I'm starting right away on chapter 8 so I plan to have chapter 8 out relatively soon.
