Sup, thanks everyone who sent in comments and stuff, you are all awesome and thank you so much.

I've edited the last chapter to make it fit with this one, because I got a vaguely better idea but if you don't want to go back and reread everything, basically Dean met Castiel earlier and told Gabriel about it over and over because of course that dork would fall in love at first sight. Gabriel pretends he didn't see Cas in the shop where Dean saw him, and Dean has mostly forgotten Cas' face.

(if something is unclear, leave a comment, because I feel like I'm leaving something out.)

Dean walked down an aisle of Wal-Mart, pushing a trolley. Gabriel was somewhere in the next aisle, trying to find the chicken flavoured Pot Noodles, while Dean hunted for bacon. He found it, and stood up quickly, turning as he did and smashing face first into somebody else.

Dean almost fell back into the shelving as he bounced off the man's chest, and he was only stopped from bringing down the whole meat section, by the man reaching out and catching him.

Dean froze, the man weirdly close to his face, with a confused smile on his face, the smile of someone who has no idea what's going on but doesn't really mind it. Dean managed to get his feet under him and stood properly, the man dropping his hands, after lingering for just a second too long. Dean had no objections though.

The other man clutched his chest, obviously winded. Dean pulled back, rubbing his nose. "I'm so sorry," He started, right as the other man blurted, "Oh my god, are you okay? I wasn't looking,"

Dean smiled as their words clashed and the man blushed lightly.

"You first?" The man said, smiling ruefully.

"I'm really sorry about that. Did I hurt you?" Dean asked, looking the man over for injury and… other reasons.

The man had dark hair, and bright blue, that stared at Dean, like he could see right through him to his soul. He shook his head, a shy smile still on his lips.

"I'm fine, thanks. But you ran into me pretty hard, are you sure you're okay?" the man pressed, in his beautiful deep voice and Dean glanced down at the floor, trying to hide his smile. He saw he'd managed to drop the bacon when they collided and was just about to grab it when the man kneeled and passed it up to him. Dean froze as the man got on his knees, but just as quickly as he'd gotten down he was standing up again. He grinned down at Dean, who was awkwardly caught up in imagining what else the man could do on his knees in front of Dean.

"M-my friend's waiting for me." he stuttered out as he realised how close they were standing. The man seemed to notice this and backed up, nodding.

"Right, uh, see you around?" He added, and Dean couldn't stop a grin.

"Yep."

In fact they saw each other a few minutes later, Dean on his tip-toes to try and grab a six pack of Diet Coke off of the very top shelf. Gabriel was next to him, snickering.

Dean cursed, Gabriel was even smaller than him, so he was useless. Dean was considering simply grabbing a packet of regular Coke which was less high up, when Gabriel glanced to the side of Dean and turned around, walking away from Dean.

"I'll get some bread." he called behind him, and Dean stared over him, wondering why Gabriel had just walked away instead of staying to laugh at him even more.

His question was answered when the man from before walked up to him, smiling at the absurd picture in front of him.

"Do you need a hand?" He asked, and Dean returned to his normal height, mentally cursing himself for seeing this man at his worst every time.

"Uh, could you just get the Diet Coke?" He asked sheepishly and he laughed, reaching up for it. Dean couldn't stop himself looking at the silver of stomach that was revealed as the man's shirt rode up.

He managed to drag his eyes away as the man offered him the six-pack.

"Am I your knight in shining armour now?" The man smiled and Dean put the drinks in his trolley, grinning.

"Does that make me the princess-?" He was interrupted by Gabriel yelling at him in the next aisle along.

"Dean, hurry up!" Dean rolled his eyes.

"Gimme a minute!"

But the man was shaking his head, gesturing for Dean to go.

"It's fine, go with your friend. I'll see you soon?"

Dean gave him an apologetic look, and nodded, "Bye."

He grabbed the trolley and headed off in Gabriel's direction.

He didn't see the man again for a while after that.

When he got back to Gabriel, his roommate had a strange look on his face as he spoke into the phone.

"Hey Cas. I was just thinking, we should meet up sometime. I know… we weren't on the best terms a few years ago, and I'm sorry. But maybe we could go out to dinner sometime?"

He hung up as Dean walked up to him and plastered a smile on his face, lobbing the bread into the trolley.

"Did you see him?" Dean asked him, as soon as he could within speaking distance. "That man back there? He was… pretty for a guy…"

"Yeah I saw him. Did you catch his name?"

Dean's face fell as he realised that he hadn't given the man his name or his number.

"Damnit."

"You idiot."

Thank you everyone for waiting through the long hiatus. Again. Sorry guys.

Good news is mostly everything is sorted out.

Hope you're doing okay, smol precious bean.

Fez.
