TCP: The After Story Ch 2

For the Love of Yakuza!

A beautiful eastern style mansion stood proudly in front of them. It hadn't been the most intelligent move for them to meet at Osaka's home ground, but it also had not been exactly their choice. It had to be somewhere far away from the prying eyes of the public and neither group trusted each other as it was. As sesai, it was her responsibility to support Ryuji and be a pillar of strength for the kuryugumi as a whole. So, of course she had agreed to attend to the negotiations along with him. Though let the record reflect it had been reluctantly! She had told Ryuji it was a stupid idea hundreds of times, but Yakuza men had their pride, and she did love that about him. At least if there was a surprise attack and they did go down, it would be together as they had promised long ago.

The large gates in the forefront of the manor were held open and on both sides were two long lines of Osaka Yakuza men. Men that used to be a part of the back Dragon clan. Tsukasa resisted the urge to hiss out what traitors they were, but even she couldn't keep the anger and murderous intent from clouding her aura. Ryuji on the other hand, looked as calm and emotionless as he always did when facing down the enemy.

As they passed the large, imposing men even they seemed edgy as the atmosphere grew heavy with the sesai's anger. She was glad she had worn her normal clothes instead of dressing up as a woman that day. If it came down to a fight, she wanted the ability to maneuver more.

A man in a black suit with a shaved head opened the door to the entry way and Tsukasa walked in with her head held high. The Yakuza could always smell fear and she would be damned before she let them even think she was afraid. She followed Ryuji's lead as he was taken down a hall, the wooden floors creaking underneath their steps. Tatami doors lined the walls, but they were all nondescript. Nothing separated the rooms apart.

The baldy opened the door, the second to the last on the left side, Tsukasa noted. Inside sat a short table with four cushions surrounding it, two on either side. A clock ticked loudly on the wall, annoying her already. Tsukasa gritted her teeth, and for the first time the leading man spoke, but of course only a few gruff words.

"Wait here." Tsukasa looked to Ryuji since he was more familiar with situations such as this. His sharp eyes asked her to listen, to be at his side and to believe that he would get them both out of this unharmed.

How could she ever say no? So, she listened.
