Sorry for the long delay but here is CH. 5 for you lovely folks, enjoy.
Sven runs past a large tree. The dagger barely misses it's target and gets stuck in a tree trunk. The pirates try their hardest to catch up to Sven, "Let it go!" Antonio orders.
Kristoff sees Sven scurry further into the forest, "Thank goodness. Please hurry buddy," Kristoff says softly.
One of the pirates pulls the dagger from the tree, and walks back to Antonio and Kristoff, and hands Antonio the dagger. "Why are you here? Was the whole lumber thing just an act?"
"No, at first the plan was to fix up our ship, but I've changed my mind, and it's all thanks to you." Antonio says and Kristoff gives him a confused look. Antonio sheathes his dagger, and walks over to the edge that oversees Arendelle, "Bring him over here."
Kovo and Obalode force Kristoff up, and walk him over to edge.
"Look down and tell me what you see." Antonio asks him.
"Arendelle."
"Is that all?" Kristoff only nods, "Not much of a visionary. You what I see. I see a perfect defensive position. One entrance to protect, and natural defenses all around. A perfect place for my kind to hide, a perfect place for us to thrive."
"You want Arendelle."
"Exactly."
"There's no way you'll get away with it."
"We'll see," Antonio gives the men the signal for move, "Leave him here. We have work to do." Obalode forces Kristoff against a tree trunk, meanwhile Kovo goes over to the sled, takes out some rope, and ties Kristoff down.
The pirates make their way back towards Arendelle, "Sven will get help, and you'll be taken in as soon as you step in the city!" Kristoff threatens them, but the pirates ignore him, and walk away.
"What about the ship?" Kovo asks Antonio.
"We can fix her later."
"What are we going to tell Fernando?"
"Nothing."
"And when he starts asking questions?"
"I think it's time for a change."
"You're talking about mutiny," Obalode adds.
"What has Fernando done for us. All we have ever done is run. Aren't you tired of it?"
"I doubt the rest of the crew will turn on him."
"They will if we promise them a future filled with riches."
"And if that doesn't work?"
"Then I'll kill him, and fix it like that."
Back at the castle Elsa and Fernando walk down one of the outer passageways that overlook the entrance to the fjord.
Fernando looks Elsa up and down, and finally decides to break the awkward silence, "You wanted to know about the pirates?"
Elsa nods, "It's just I've never heard of there being any problems in the north with pirates. I always considered it a problem southern kingdoms dealt with."
"I take it you haven't traveled much recently, your majesty." Elsa gives him a bit of a dirty look, "My apologies I didn't mean to offend you."
"No, you're right. I haven't. That's why I would like you to tell me about them."
"As you wish. You're right normally piracy is more rampant in the south, but thanks to the constant expanding alliances between the north and south, pirates have sprung up all over. That's why it's so important for me to get those weapons. The seas aren't safe anymore."
"I see, but it's just..." Elsa stops and leans against the stone railing that looks over the fjord. Fernando goes and stands next to her, "It's a long story why I can't just allow it." He looks down at her and notices a deep sadness in her eyes.
"I heard about the attempt on your life."
She looks up at him in complete surprise, "You have?"
He nods, "Which I don't understand at all. From what I've seen your citizens seem to be very happy. I couldn't imagine anyone here trying to hurt you."
"It wasn't someone from my kingdom. Outsiders tried to take everything from me and my family. That's why I've set these policies and made certain things very strict."
" I understand, and if I were you. I'd do the same."
"Does Puerto Real not have these kind of policies? I don't know much about your kingdom actually. Only things I really know are what I've read about it." Elsa relaxes her shoulders a bit making Fernando do the same.
"Puerto Real is an amazing place, it's a mixture of many kinds of people. Out of all the kingdoms I've visited and all the things seen I thought there was nothing more beautiful," He looks at Elsa, "That is until I came to Arendelle."
Elsa smiles, and blushes a little. She quickly looks back towards the fjord, and tries to get her composure back.
Fernando's demeanor quickly changes to a more serious one, "Unfortunately, Puerto Real is going through some tough times right now. The pirates have been terrorizing the coastal towns. We've lost many of our trade partners, and even worse we've lost so many innocent lives."
Elsa slightly glances up at him, "I'm really sorry to hear that."
Fernando pretends to wipe a tear from his eye, "Anyway, enough of sob stories. If you don't mind me asking why is it just you who rules?"
"You mean why isn't there a king?" She asks and he shamefully nods.
"I guess my entire life I've been used to being alone. So I don't see a need for there to be a King."
"You want to be alone forever?" Elsa nods. "Why am I telling him all this?" Elsa thinks to herself.
"I don't believe you." He replies. Elsa is taken aback from his response. She opens her mouth to say something, but he continues, "I think you're just afraid. Afraid of being hurt by someone."
He looks her dead in the eyes and sees them full of sadness and loneliness. Elsa quickly breaks eye contact and looks out towards the fjord again.
"I'm afraid of hurting anyone else." She responds with a heartbroken tone in her voice. Fernando takes a step closer to her.
"That's the last thing you should be. Fear only brings doubt, and doubting yourself forces you to hold back. It stops you from being who you truly are. From showing your full potential." Elsa smiles slightly, and blushes again, "And from what I've seen you have no need for a King."
Elsa quickly takes a long breath and recomposes herself, "Captain are you..." Fernando right away takes a step back.
"I'm so sorry your Majesty, I overstepped."
Elsa fixes her bangs as she fights to hold back a smile, "No, there's no need."
Back at the market square Anna and Olaf enter a cute little flower shop owned by Alva a petite elderly woman. Immediately Olaf runs to a batch of yellow tulips, and takes a big wiff. Meanwhile Anna walks around until a blue flower catches her attention. She picks up one of the flowers, and gently touches the tip of of petal, and notices the white tips. She gently puts the flower up to the tip of her nose, and lets out a big smiles. Olaf quickly, and excitedly runs over to her, "Ooooooh that one is pretty."
Anna puts the flower up to his nose and Olaf quickly smells it, "What do you think?" She asks him.
"I...LOVE...IT!"
"Do you think Elsa will like them?"
"She will LOVE them!"
Alva steps out from the back room she has her grey hair up in a bun, and is wearing a modest dress, "Olaf back so soon and I see you brought Princess Anna today."
"Hi Mrs. Alva. Yup Anna needed some cheering up, and I thought what better way to cheer up than by smelling some flowers."
"Well it seems to be working she already has a big smile on her face." Alva responds as she approaches them.
"I was wondering. Where are these flowers from?" Anna asks and hands Alva the blue flower.
"Oh these are very rare flowers of Vedenemo, and can only be found north of here."
"They're beautiful." Anna replies as Alva hands the flower back to here. She takes another quick wiff of the flower.
"They're named after the goddess of water."
"Perfect. Give me a dozen of them." Alva goes over and grabs a dozen Vedenemo flowers, and put them in a beautiful bouquet. She ties a long sky blue and silver ribbon around it, and hands them to Anna.
Anna hands the bouquet to Olaf, "Can you take these to Elsa, hopefully they'll make up for this morning."
Olaf salutes Anna and takes off running, "Thank you for the flowers."
"My pleasure Princess. I hope the Queen likes them."
"I'm sure she will." Anna heads to the exit of the flower shop. Before she leaves she turns back and waves Alva good-bye.
Anna leaves the flower shop and makes her way to another vendor when she notices Sven rushing her, "Sven?"
Sven frantically snorts and bellows, "Wait calm down. What's wrong? Where's Kristoff?" Sven uses his antlers and points to his back.
"Something happened didn't it?" Sven grimly nods. Anna immediately climbs on Sven's back and Sven takes off running towards the forest.
Meanwhile a at the city square Olaf merrily skips towards the castle when he notices a small crowd hovering around a news reader.
"Urgent news from the Southern Isles. Pirates spotted attacking Southern Isles merchant ships," The News Reader shouts. Olaf stops and starts listening, "It's believed the notorious pirate Fernando Castillo is responsible."
"Fernando? I know I've heard that name before," Olaf starts to pace back and forth, "Fernando, Fernando, Fernando, Fernando. I know I heard it before. Fernnnnnaaannnndddoooo, Hmmmm...Fernando." Olaf suddenly comes to a complete stop.
A memory of him bumping into Fernando's leg flashes before him. Olaf in shock drops the flowers and runs towards the castle.
Will Olaf be able to warn Elsa about Fernando, and will Anna reach Kristoff before Antonio can start his plan for Arendelle, If you enjoyed please comment, and feedback is always welcomed :)
