Chapter 23

"Great, just great" Fox muttered at the lunch table. "My ex "girlfriend" is going to the same school as us now apparently." He filled everyone in at the lunch table. "First this injury and now this, ugh this isn't as good of a recovery as I thought it would be" Everyone was overcome at how frustrated he was, it was unlike him.

"I'm going to get another soda" He got up and walked inside the cafeteria. He looked down and accidentally bumped into someone. "Oh! Sorry about that….Wolf" Wolf looked over at him with a grin, "Don't worry about it for now, McCloud." He watched as Wolf walked back over to his table, which now had a baboon sitting at it.

"Great, one more lost to that bunch. What's wrong with you Oikonny?" Fox grabbed his drink and noticed that Fara wasn't far behind him. He quickened his pace to get away as soon as he can, and as he got outside he jogged to his seat rather quickly.

"There a reason you're so jittery today? Besides the obvious?" Amanda asked her friend. "Well our not so welcome guest may have been trying to follow me a second ago, and now I've found out that Wolf and his friends have a new member in their little gang." Everyone groaned, thinking that's all they need. The crew stood outside after school talking about the interesting day they had all had.

"Krystal, you ready to go?"

"Well actually me and mom have to go do something, so she'll be here soon" Everyone else had left until it was just Fox and Krystal. "Well, it looks like mom is taking a little longer than I thought she would. Oh well, that just leaves more time for us" She said as she smiled and grabbed his hand.

Fox gave her a small peck on the side of her muzzle and she scooted up closer to him as they talked. Twenty minutes after school did everyone leave. Fox and Krystal sat on the bench together and waited for Mrs. Cerina. Finally did Krystal's mom arrive and she picked up her books and kissed her boyfriend goodbye and ran off to her mother's car.

Fox had a smile on his face as he turned around to walk to his convertible, but it quickly faded. "So let me guess, you dumped pretty little me for that blue smurf wannabe girl?"

Fox sighed heavily. "You need to grow up, I got rid of your number and cut off connections for a reason. I don't want to be around you any, maybe if you grow up a little and get over it, but you aren't doing too good of a job so far."

"Ugh! The nerve of you to talk to me like that!" "Like what? Setting you straight and teaching you a lesson that you need really badly?"

Fara was infuriated at this, "Fine then, you just keep blabbing like some old man. There's plenty of good looking boys here at this school, it'd be a shame if I got a boyfriend and you're left all alone by that smurf." Fara turned and talked away quickly.

Fox only laughed to himself. "There's no way that Krystal would leave me" He said to himself.

That's how things go….right?
