Chapter 30

She ran out crying, her eyes completely flooded with tears. She ran down the halls not caring of how much attention she was attracting. She barreled through her parents as she went to the exit.

"Krystal! Wait sweetie!" Her mother yelled to her. But she didn't listen, she just kept running. She didn't even stop at the car, she kept running out to the city. "Oh no, Rick, what do we do?"

He just sighed. "I don't know, we'll have to go find her and come back later or get Krystal to tell us when we find her." They both sighed and headed for their hover car.

"Okay dad, who was that just a second ago? That blue girl?" James just sighed to himself. "What have I done?" He said as he sat down and covered his face with his hands.

"Hey Fox, that was your girlfriend." His mother told him. "I have a girlfriend?"

"Oh no, this can't be happening. Krystal's going to be crushed, he doesn't remember one single thing about her." Bill said to everyone.

"Who's Krystal? Is that the girl that was just here?" He looked around and everyone nodded at his question. "That's my girlfriend? I'm not sure I remember that, I don't know about this." Falco stepped up to him, "Look man you can't just do this to her, the other day you guys went out for the first time in months and-" "I don't remember any of that. I think I'm gonna pass on this girlfriend stuff." They all realized that their efforts would be in vain.

What was Krystal going to say? She was going to be crushed, just like Bill said. "Son, when we leave here later today and go home I want you to go talk to her." Fox was puzzled at his father's request, "But dad I don't even know where she lives." "Ah that's right. Don't worry, she lives down the street from us. We'll get you set up later tonight." Fox nodded, "Still though, I don't think I'm gonna go through with this girlfriend thing. I don't think I can take that right now."

James looked at Vixy and sighed. The doctor walked into the room and had some good news for the first time. "Well now luckily he wasn't really having any injuries, just his memory loss. As for when it'll return, we don't know if it will. I'm so sorry. But he's good to go right now so whenever you're ready you can head out" The doctor smiled and walked out.

"Well, I guess I'll be going to this girl's house now." Fox said as he began to get out of the hospital bed. They all took their leave of the hospital.

Krystal lay in her bed crying for hours. She ran all the way home from the hospital. It was only 5 that afternoon and she had been crying for half an hour with no signs of stopping soon. Her parents came in the house and breathed a sigh of relief when they heard her, she hadn't been answering her phone and they were relieved she was here instead of somewhere else.

"Sweetie what happened?" Her mother asked as she sat down beside her in an effort to comfort her. Amid the sniffling and tears she managed to get out "He doesn't remember me." Her mother and father gasped. "Wait, how!?" Her father yelled. But she didn't know the answer. She just lay in her bed crying, not wanting to talk to anyone, she just wanted to be alone. But she wouldn't get that, soon after there was a knock at the door.

Mrs. Cerina opened the door and there stood the one this was all about. "Hi there, you must be uhhh…." Fox pulled a piece of paper out of his pocket and looked at it, "You must be Mrs. Diane! Uhhh….Krystal's? Mother?" She nodded to all these questions.

"Well my mom and dad said I was supposed to come here to talk about something to her, may I come in?" The older vixen stepped aside and let Fox in. He looked over and saw Krystal's dad, "And you must be Mr. Rick right?" "Fox, don't you know my name already? Oh no, don't tell me, you lost your memory?! That's how you don't remember my daughter!?" Fox nodded, "I'm actually supposed to talk to her, can you show me where she is?" Rick pointed him in the direction of her room and Fox walked in.

She hadn't detected there was someone else in her room and he just walked over and tapped her on the shoulder. She looked up and her eyes lit up to see who it was. "FOX!" She yelled and jumped, wrapping him in a hug.

His face shot red and he tried to get her off of him without hurting her. "Whoa whoa! Take it easy please, I'm not used to that. I'm supposed to come talk to you about something….Krystal?" She was taken aback and sat back down.

"Fox, what happened? Why can't you remember me?"

Fox sighed a little, "Well I don't know, they say I was on a mission and I got hit in the head. Next thing I know these people are saying they're my friends and family and then you came in and then ran out, I just didn't know what was going on." Krystal's eyes began to water again.

"But…..if you believed them, why won't you believe me? Fox I really care about you and we…..we just got things back on track with each other. I…. I just want my boyfriend back." Fox felt so bad for her, but he couldn't do anything.

"I'm sorry Krystal, I may have felt like that then but I just don't feel that any more. I'm really sorry but I just don't feel those feelings right now, I feel like I just met you. I don't know what to tell you, I mean I'll gladly be your friend and all, I just don't feel like more than friends right now. I hope you understand, I'm really sorry that this happened."

Krystal was done, she had accepted it. Her boyfriend that she cared about so much was gone and there was no getting him back. "I….I understand Fox. I'm sorry too." Fox just felt so terrible that this happened to Krystal. He held his arms out for a hug, he knew she wanted one.

"I'm sorry Krystal, but I hope that this makes you feel better." He could feel her head on his shoulder and tears begin to water his shoulder. They let go and he smiled at her and walked away.

"Thanks for having me" He said to her parents as he walked out.

Krystal walked to the window and looked at who used to be the boyfriend she cared so much for.

She watched him walk away until he disappeared in the distance as tears began to form again.
