Chapter 31

"Okay so this is a map of the school? And my books and schedule?" Fox's parents nodded in agreement that Monday morning. "And these are the keys to my car out there right?" Again they nodded.

"Maybe everything will come back to you when you get out at the wheel." James suggested. Fox just shrugged his shoulders, this was all new to him all over again. "Well here I go, wish me luck." He walked outside and opened the door to his convertible. He turned the key and heard the motor rev.

'Hey, wait a second.' He thought to himself. 'I remember this, this is gonna be a snap.' He blasted off towards his school as if nothing ever happened. 'Maybe as I go along in the day most of my memory will come back and it'll be smooth.' He thought as he pulled into the parking lot.

He walked up to the lobby and saw the guys standing in the usual spot, along with their girlfriends. 'That looks familiar' he again thought to himself. "Hey guys!" He vigorously yelled to everyone as he walked up. "Hi Fox!" Katt said to him as he approached them. He smiled back to everyone and sat on the table nearby and pulled out his Nintendo 3DS to pass the time.

Once the bell rang and all the girls walked off he grabbed Falco on the shoulder before he left. "So who are each of them again? Mom and Dad forgot to put their names on my sheet."

Falco just laughed a little bit and filled his friend in. "Oh by the way, Krystal is in your first class down that hall. Be careful about all that, the whole group has gym so you'll catch a break there in second." Fox nodded and patted his friend on the back as they went their separate ways. Fox walked into his first class and took a look around. 'Uh oh, mom and dad forgot to mark where I sit down.'

Krystal was already sitting down and was still very upset about Fox's accident. But she sensed his thoughts just in time to help. "Fox! Can you come over here for a moment?" He looked over to his friend and walked over. He sat down beside her, curious of what it was she needed .

"I didn't really need anything, I just sensed your thoughts and wanted to help. You're sitting in the right seat right now." She smiled at him and he just looked confused."You….sensed? My thoughts? What are you some kind of wizard? I thought those only existed in video games"

Now it was Krystal's turn to look surprised. "Oh yeah that's right, sorry. My people are telepaths, every once in a while my powers will come in and I can sense thoughts. So yeah, I sort of am a wizard." She said with a small laugh, and he returned the laugh.

"Well now that makes more sense, now I'll be less freaked out next time that happens." They both laughed again as class began, and when Krystal turned her face away to get her binder her smile slowly faded.

Fox never noticed, he was too busy trying to remember everything that was being taught in class. The two embarked towards the gym after the bell had sound. Fox and the guys changed clothes in the locker room and walked out to the gym.

Fara had somehow become quite popular somehow. Not really a surprise that she was friends with all the other drama queens who liked to cause trouble with people.

She stood with her group as Fox walked by, "Nice shirt Fox, your muscles really stand out" She said with a wink and flirty smile. Fox just looked a little confused. 'How does this girl know my name?'

"Uh well….thanks I guess." He said back to her, unsure of what to say. "Don't you remember my name? I'm Fara!" Fox looked even more confused, "Uhhhh….. nope, not ringing any bells here." Fara could feel her face heating up, her attempt at showing off at completely blew up in her face.

She could hear some of the girls laughing at her, she turned around and chewed them out. "Why don't all of you just shut up, I at least had the nerve to say something to him unlike you stupid furs!" She walked away and sat on the bleachers. Fox walked over to his group of friends and was greeted by laughter.

He was puzzled, "Dude that's your ex girlfriend. She lived on Katina and you dumped her a year ago. Then last semester she came back and tried to wreck you and Krystal. Now I guess she's trying to win you back but you put an end to that fast, whether you know it or not!" Slippy said as he made everyone else laugh.

"Hm, well then I'm glad I could make everyone's day better without even trying." He said, which only caused them to laugh even more.

"You know I think I like this Fox better than the old Fox!" Amanda said, which made EVEN MORE laughter. Everyone was laughing hard, but Krystal was the least of them.

She liked the new Fox, but she still wanted her Fox back. But she couldn't get him back, he was all gone.

But she kept as positive as she could, surely something could work for her favor. She had to help him most the day, despite his map and instructions he needed help getting to class.

"You know sometimes I feel like you're some little kid that I have to mentor or something." She said with a comical face. He just laughed at her comment.

'Maybe this new Fox isn't so bad after all' She thought as she watched him laugh.

'It's just like this time last year' Were the only words she could think of.
