It's almost time for me to go back to school so I thought about writing a 'back to school' story. I had this idea in my head for a while and thought that maybe I could try it. For now, this is part 1.

Nova main

Nova let out a heavy sigh as he looked at his reflection in the bathroom's full body mirror. It had been only two months since he came to live at the mansion with Yuki and yet he can never get used to calling this place 'home'…it got even harder since Takashiro told him that he would be attending the same school as the others.

"…Are you finished?"

Nova nearly jumped ten feet in the air. Quickly turning around and found himself face to face with an annoyed Kuroto. Nova quickly looked around to see if anyone one else was around. Unfortunately, it was just the two of them.

'Ah, crap…why does he have to be here?! Oh wait, he lives here." Nova thought to himself.

To engross in his thoughts he didn't notice Kuroto reaching out and grabbing his loose necktie.

"Do you even know how to tie this?"

"W-what?"

Kuroto sighed and started to fix the necktie (it was tied like a bow at first). Nova stiffened as Kuroto worked. Nova tried to calm himself, but in all honesty, the other scared him a little. He wasn't terrified of him or anything. He was a little scared of him because he was almost cut in two when he walked in on him while he was training. It was an accident, yes, but he was also hiding from that weird doctor…

Nova shivered when he remembered being chased down the hall by him just a week ago. When Kuroto was finished he stepped away and made for the door.

"If you're done here then hurry to the dining room. Breakfast is almost ready." He said curtly as he opened the door. Right as he stepped through the threshold, Nova called out,

"Um!"

Kuroto stopped and looked over his shoulder at him. One eyebrow raised. Taking that as a signal to continue Nova took a breath.

"I'm sorry for bothering you that time. I…ah…I didn't know that there was a training ground underneath this mansion."

Yuki had said that Nova didn't have to be nervous around everyone in the mansion since they were good people. Toko and Tsukumo were friendly as was Senshirou who offered to teach him how to paint. Hotsuma was a little bit of a challenge, but when Nova tried to play a video game that Hotsuma left in the living room the two slowly became friends (of sorts).

Shusei was a little awkward to be around, but with Yuki's help they started to talk about what type of books they liked and played chess. It was more like Nova watching intently as Yuki and Shusei played.

This was nothing like the other world. He got along with everyone here…well almost. Kuroto was a silent lone wolf that had a hatred for Duras. He just hopes that he didn't hate him.

"Are you daydreaming again?" Kuroto asked as he leaned on the door frame. Giving Nova a questioning look.

"Ah, sorry…"

Kuroto hummed and looked at Nova. Eyeing him up and down and frowned.

"I hope your able to move as quickly as you did before when we train. Otherwise, I would certainly cut you in two."

Nova blinked. He didn't sound mad just now. He sounded actually…excited?

"I-it won't happen next time! I'm stronger then I look!" Nova exclaimed as he brought his left hand, now in a fist, to his chest. Trying to look prideful.

Kuroto let out an amused hum and smiled slightly.

"Then you can expect me to go all out next time. If you are sorry then be prepared to show me how strong you are."

And with that, he left. Leaving a stunned Nova staring at the door. After a few minutes, he let out a strained breath and smiled.

'At least no one hates me.'

I think that I stated in a chapter that Nova had a pretty rough childhood which resulted in some issues with trusting others...If not then just tell me. Because I don't want to confuse you guys. Also, I think I made Kuroto a little out of character...
