Jai didn't talk to his parents for over a week once they told him he couldn't go to school. No matter how hard Wally and Artemis tried to, they couldn't get Jaiyden to speak to them.

"Jaiyden, sweetie. Please talk to me and your Dad." Artemis begged her baby boy.

Without saying a word, Jai got up, and stormed past his mother and in to his bedroom, Nelson following behind him.

"Wally..." Artemis whined, sadness in her eyes.

"Maybe Bart can help us out...?" Wally suggested, putting Iris & Melissa into their playpen.

"It's a phase he went through. Not much you guys can do but give him space- or at least that's what I was always told you guys did. Jai and Lisa did the samething when Amy's powers kicked in when she was six. So unless you put an inhibitor collar on Jaiyden, you're options are limited." Bart explained to them.

"Great. Just great." Wally huffed, crossing his arms.

"Wally..." Artemis sighed, putting her hand on his shoulder.

By Halloween, Jaiyden still wasn't talking to his parents, and Artemis was about to have a mental breakdown.

And Wally was about to explode.

"Jaiyden Micah West! Quit pouting! Damn!" Wally snapped.

Jai's bottom lip began to quiver, and Wally's heart instantly shattered.

"I hate you."

And that was the last thing Wally heard before his son bolted out the door.

"YOU LET OUR FIVE YEAR OLD SON RUN OFF!? WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK WALLY!?" Artemis roared at him.

Wally was sitting on the couch, no emotion in his eyes.

Artemis was glaring daggers at him. Dinah, Barry, Ollie, Jay Garrick, Roy, & Bart were in their living room as well, trying to figure out what the hell happened.

"C'mon kid, tell us what happened." Barry sighed, putting his hand on Wally's shoulder, a frown on his face.

"Jaiyden told him he hated him." Bart sighed.

"That's why you're acting like this? You let our son run off because he said he hated you?" Artemis asked, baffled.

"Hey, I was the same way when Lian told me she hated me for the first time. Granted I didn't let her leave the house, but I did have the heartbroken look on my face like Wally does." Roy said, trying to defend his brother-in-law.

"Artemis, we're gonna go look for Jaiyden. You stay here." Dinah told her.

"What? Why do I have to stay here?" She cried.

"You have two little girls that need to be taken care of. And Wally isn't exactly in a good state to be taking care of them by himself." Ollie pointed out.

"I'll keep you company." Jay offered.

"Me too! I like playing with Irey & Melissa." Bart beamed.

"Hi Lisa!"

"Jai! You scared me!" Lisa gasped, watching as her best friend crawled into her & Mark's bedroom window.

Her parents was busy making lunch while her siblings watched tv in the living room, so it was just Lisa playing with her stuffed animals by herself.

"Sorry." Jai grinned, sitting on her bed.

"How did you even get here? You live on the other side of the country." Lisa questioned.

"I ran." Jai smirked.

"Ran? Like..." Lisa asked, trailing off.

"My dad."

Lisa gasped, eyes wide.

"Wanna go somewhere? There's a new zoo in Metropolis!" Jaiyden asked.

"Ok..." Lisa shrugged.

The two of them snuck out of the fifth story window using their powers. Once they were on the ground and out of sight from the normies (what the younger heroes called the normal, non hero or villain civilians), Lisa climbed onto Jai's back, and he raced to Metropolis.

"Lisa! Lunch!" Conner hollered, as M'gann served up the grilled cheese and French fries the kids were getting for Lunch.

They got no reply, neither verbally or mentally.

"Lisa Marie! Come eat!" M'gann yelled.

"Maybe she's asleep?" Mark suggested.

"No, sissy's gone." Abbie explained to them, before shoving a handful of French fries into her mouth.

"What do you mean gone?" Conner asked, eyes wide.

"She left with Jaiyden about ten minutes ago." Abbie said, once she swallowed her mouthful.

"Oh my God!" M'gann cried, racing to Lisa and Mark's bedroom, not believing her youngest.

"Abbie! Please tell me you're joking!" Conner begged his daughter.

"She's not. Lisa is gone." M'gann gasped, eyes filling with tears.

Conner went over to his wife, wrapping his arms around her. He kissed her forehead, and both her cheeks.

"We'll find her." He said, as she buried her face into his shoulder.

"The League and Team have two missing children. All League and Team members are searching for any sign of them." Batman said, going over the information with the heroes.

Those searching for Jaiyden & Lisa were; Black Canary, Hawkwoman, Hawkman, Wonder Woman, Green Arrow, Icon, Rocket, Zatanna, Superman, Flash, Martian Manhunter, Bumble Bee, Red Arrow, Wonder Girl, Lagoon Boy, Blue Beetle, Aquaman, Aqualad, Robin, Batgirl, and all three Green Lanterns.

Conner had sent Wolf with them. The beast could help sniff out the two youngsters.

The others would either be in the watch tower keeping the search party updated, or were comforting the distraught parents.

"According to Wally & Abbie, neither Jaiyden or Lisa were taken unwillingly." Robin said.

"But unfortenetly, that doesn't mean that they haven't been snatched since then." Batgirl sighed.

"You will be paired in groups of three and will be assigned to different parts of the continent. The children do not have Zeta Tube access without their parents, and we can only hope neither have them traveled across water." Batman explained to them.

"The first group will be Hawkwoman, Hawkman, and Hal Jordan, you will go to Central. Second will be Icon, John Stewart, and Rocket, you will go to Dakota City. Aquaman, Aqualad, and Lagoon Boy will go to Miami. Black Canary, Green Arrow, and Red Arrow will go to Star city. Wonder Woman, Wonder Girl, and Bumble Bee will go to D.C. Zatanna, Guy Gardner, and Blue Beetle will head to New York. Batgirl, Robin, and Flash will go to Gotham. Superman and Martian Manhunter, will go to Metropolis. Kal-El, since you & J'onn only have two in your group, you two get Wolf." Batman said, as he dismissed the heroes.

"And for those who have personal ties to Jaiyden and Lisa, do not let your feelings cloud your judgment." He added.

'Lisa! Check out all the animals!' Jai gushed over the mental link as the two of them looked at all the animals.

'I know! I love Uncle Gar & all, but it's so nice not seeing a green giraffe for once.'

The two of them had somehow managed to sneak into the zoo unnoticed by the staff. They then wondered off to look at the animals by themselves, only having each other for company.

Luckily they were smart enough to know not to try & pet the animals.

'So how'd you manage to get out of the house?' Lisa questioned.

'I ran away.' He said, shrugging his shoulders.

'Jaiyden! Why would you do that?' Lisa gasped. The blonde shrugged his shoulders, looking at his scuffed up converse.

'I dunno.' He muttered.

'You know we're gonna be so grounded when we go home, right?' Lisa reminded him.

'I know.' Jai told her.

As the two of them continued walking through the zoo, the arrived at the zebra exhibit, and watched in awe as a newborn calf followed it's mother around.

'I want that.' Lisa gushed.

'A zebra?' Jaiyden questioned.

'A baby.' She corrected him.

'Well when we're older I'll give you one.' He promised her, having no idea how that worked.

As the hours rolled by, more & more teams were coming back empty handed.

And that wasn't helping Artemis's mental state.

"Oh my god! We're never going to find them! They're probably being tortured and hurt and they must be scared!" Artemis rambled on.

M'gann sighed, before getting up and walking towards Artemis, standing in front of her.

The next thing anyone seen or heard, was M'gann's palm colliding with Artemis's cheek, which created a loud slap.

Everyone was in shock, clearly able to see the red mark on Artemis's cheek that M'gann's hand created.

"... Ow...!" Artemis whimpered, her lip quivering as she rubbed her cheek.

The last thing she expected was to be slapped by her Martian-sister.

"Artemis, I would greatly appreciate it if you kept your thoughts of our children being tortured TO YOURSELF!" M'gann screamed.

"Okay." Artemis squeaked.

"Recognized Batgirl B16, Robin B13, Flash 04."

Barry zoomed towards the worried parents, the look of sadness telling them that, no, their offspring weren't in Gotham.

"Gah! J'onn and Kal-El are the only ones still searching! What do we do if they can't find them?!" Artemis cried, gripping M'gann's shoulders.

"This is all YOUR fault!" She roared, going over to Wally, before repeatedly punching and smacking his arms, shoulders, and back.

"Ow! Ow! Ow! Arty knock it off! Jaiyden and Lisa will be fine. They'll be fine! Ow!" He yelped, trying to block her hits.

"They better be, or me and the girls gone!" She snapped, before storming off.

Wally's jaw dropped as his eyes went wide.

Did Artemis just threaten to take Irey and Melissa and leave him...?

"Artemis!" He screamed, racing after her.

"Wow. They're really worried about Jai and Lisa." Lian gasped, as her and Mark sat in the air vent where the two of them, Jai, and Lisa usually hung out.

"Why would Jaiyden and Lisa run off though?" Mark questioned.

"They didn't know something like this would happen." Lian pointed out.

For barely being seven years old, the girl was smart. Jade and Roy were trying their best to ensure that they're daughter was both book smart and common sense smart so no one would be able to walk all over her or manipulate her when she grew older.

So far, they're efforts were successful.

Unfortenetly, due to the fact that her mother was a villain and her dad a hero, Lian could easily choose to be good or evil when she grew older.

However, as she hung out with Mark, Lisa, and Jaiyden more and more, it was growing obvious that the oldest of the Fourth Generation would be a hero.

"Do you think they'll be ok?" Mark asked, worried about his little sister.

"I hope so." Lian sighed.

"We are not going back to the Watch Tower until we are 150% sure Jaiyden and Lisa aren't here." Kal-El informed J'onn.

"Agreed. I do not want to encounter the looks of sadness from M'gann and Conner if we do not find their daughter." J'onn sighed.

"Where should we start first?" Superman asked, as they flew over the top of Metropolis, Wolf roaming the streets below them.

None of the civilians were concerned about Wolf's presence in their city; they had seen him and Superboy fight along side Superman and Krypto against various villains over the last eight years.

However, they were not used to seeing Wolf without his owner or J'onn in Metroplis.

Kal-El could hear everyone's concerned and confused whispers.

"Why's Wolf here and not Superboy?"

"What's the Martian Manhunter doing here?"

"What's going on?"

Superman wanted to address all their concerns, but he couldn't.

He had his granddaughter to rescue.

No one was sure how it happened or who did it, but the next thing anyone in the zoo knew, all the animals had been released from their enclosures and had created a stampede.

"Run!" Several of them screamed, grabbing their youngsters and running for safety.

Jaiyden grabbed Lisa's arm, helped her climb on to his back, and raced as fast as he could.

The animals soon left the zoo, and were roaming the streets of Metroplis. Cars were trampled, pedestrians ran for the safety of buildings.

It was chaos.

"What's going on?" Superman asked.

"There seems to be a stampede. Someone let the animals in the zoo out." J'onn informed him, as they flew down closer to the animals.

Jaiyden ran towards an alley way, trying to get away from the majority of the animals.

Once inside, Lisa climbed off his back as the young speedster tried to catch his breath.

"Think we're safe?" She asked him.

"Grrrrr...!"

The two froze, their backs towards whatever was behind them. They slowly turned around and tried not to scream.

There, standing less then ten feet from them, were two jaguars, they're fangs gleaming and their eyes sparkling at the sights of their next possible meals.

'Lisa, I'm too drained to get myself away from them, much less the both of us.' Jaiyden gulped.

'Uh uh! No way! I am NOT being eaten today!' She snapped.

Using the mental powers she inherited from her mother, Lisa grabbed a trash can and threw it at a jaguar, sending it flying into the stampede.

Feeling confident, she looked around for another trash can to throw at the remaining cat.

But there was none. There was nothing for her to throw.

'Great. Just great...' She huffed, as her and Jai backed away from the jaguar.

Right as the jaguar was about to tackle them, something grabbed them by the backs of their shirts and leaped to the roof, the jaguar following behind them.

"Uhh, Jai? What's got me?" Lisa wondered.

"A wolf. It's the same size as your Dad's, but the fur color is different & this one is skinnier. What's got me?" Jaiyden asked.

"A really big cat. With really long teeth." Lisa said, crystal orbs growing wide.

The two beasts continued to carry Jaiyden and Lisa, the jaguar chasing after them.

Suddenly Wolf came out of nowhere, tackling the wolf carrying Lisa, and sending the poor girl skidding across the roof due to being let go by the newer wolf.

Noticing the jaguar going for Lisa, who was more focused on the cut on her cheek due to anything else, the creature holding Jai put him down, and charged, talking the jaguar.

The two felines fought while Jaiyden ran over to Lisa, making sure she was ok.

"Lisa?!" Jaiyden cried, picking her up.

"Oww! My face hurts!" She sniffled.

Jaiyden looked at her cheek and saw a scratch, about four inches long and bloody.

"Jaiyden! Lisa!" The two looked up and saw J'onn and Kal-El floating above them, looks of relief and concern on their faces.

Then they noticed the two big cats and Wolf fighting the other wolf.

"That's a saber-tooth. They're supposed to be extinct!" Kal-El cried, as he picked up Jaiyden and J'onn picked up Lisa.

The saber pushed the jaguar the roof and down to it's death.

The wolf who had been fighting Wolf suddenly stopped, confusing Wolf.

The new Wolf, who had a dark gray color- almost black- coat of fur, and eyes almost as green as Wally and Jai's, started wagging it's tail at Wolf.

"It is a girl." J'onn said, referring to the wolf.

Suddenly the Saber walked up to them, and they could hear a very loud purring.

"Can we keep them?" Jaiyden begged.

"Please! They saved us from the jaguar!" Lisa added.

"We do have to figure out where the saber-tooth came from..." J'onn commented.

"Oh alright!" Kal-El sighed, knowing fully well no one on the Team or League would like it.

"Recognized Superman 01. Recognized Martian Manhunter 07."

Every person in the Watch Tower froze.

They were the last search team. If they came back empty handed, it would cause a possible mental break down from Jai and Lisa's parents.

Barry and Ollie took one look at each other, and bolted for the zeta tubes, praying that their nephew was their- alive.

Their heats swelled when they saw Jaiyden, in Superman's arms, waving at them.

"Hi Uncle Barry! Hi Uncle Ollie!" He hollered, climbing out of Kal-El's arms and raced towards his uncles.

Ollie scooped him up, setting him on his shoulders while Barry ruffled his hair.

"Your parents have been worried about you." Barry told him.

"Jaiyden!"

The five year old speedster looked up, and saw his and Lisa's parents standing there, looks of relief on their faces.

"Mommy! Daddy!" Jaiyden cried, jumping from Ollie's shoulder and racing to Artemis' open arms. She scooped her son up and held him tightly, crying tears of relief.

"Wait. Where's Lisa?" M'gann asked, fear in her voice.

"She got a boo-boo on her cheek. So J'onn took her to go see Aunt Dinah." Jaiyden told his future in-laws.

"Define boo-boo?" Conner asked, turning to Clark.

"About four inches long going across her right cheek. It avoided her eye, so don't worry. It broke the skin, so Dinah has to clean it up, and she may or may not get stitches." He explained.

M'gann and Conner wasted zero time going to check on their baby girl.

"Jaiyden Micah West, do you have any idea how much trouble you're in!?" Artemis snapped at her son for running away.

"A lot." He muttered.

"You have no idea, kid." Wally said.

Lisa hated having to get her cut cleaned. It stung and hurt.

"I want my Mom and Dad!" She sobbed, as Dinah picked bits if gravel out of her cheek.

"Lisa!" She looked up and saw her parents, reliever to see her alive, standing in the doorway of the Medbay.

"Mommy! Daddy!" She gasped, happy to see them.

"Keep still, Lisa. I'm not done yet." Dinah told her.

"Okay..." Lisa sulked.

"... Am I grounded?" Lisa asked.

"We're going to give you a new meaning to the word." Conner said, crossing his arms.

Lisa sighed, looking down at her feet.

"Can we at least keep the new wolf?" Lisa asked.

"What new Wolf?" M'gann asked.

"She saved me from the Jaguar that was chasing me and Jai! The weird kitty saved Jai. Wolf attacked the other wolf when he saw me in her mouth. That's why I got this scratch; I got knocked out of her grip and slip across the roof." Lisa explained to her parents.

Before anyone could respond, Bart entered the room.

"Glad to know you're ok, Lisa." He beamed.

"Sweetie, what do you mean by "weird kitty"?" M'gann asked.

"It had really long teeth. Uncle J'onn called it a saber-tooth or something like that." Lisa told her mom.

"Was it pure white with two different colored eyes?" Bart asked, seeming very interested in the supposed-to-be-extinct carnivor.

Lisa thought for a moment, before nodding.

"That's Nelle!" He cried.

"Nelle?" Dinah questioned.

"She's my generation's version of Wolf! Also, new wolf gets named Arri." He explained.

"NELLE!" He hollered, racing out of the medbay.

"Nelle and Arri. Can we keep Arri? Wolf needs a girlfriend. Besides, she can be Mommy's!" Lisa grinned.

"We'll discuss it." Conner told her.

"Nelle! Nelle? Where are you!?" Bart screamed, racing around the watch tower, desperate to find the saber.

She was the first one of his teammates he had seen since he arrived in the past, over six years ago.

Granted she was the team "pet", but still, he missed his entire team.

"We're going to have to run some tests on the saber." Batman commented to J'onn and Kal-El as they showed him Nelle, who was currently in a cage that not even Kal-El himself could break out of.

"Nelle!" They heard Bart yell.

"Who is Nelle?" J'onn asked.

They jumped when Nelle roared, loudly, telling Bart exactly where she was.

"I think it's safe to assume she's Nelle." Batman sighed, as they watched the saber cry out to the future speedster.

Bart ran into the room, relieved to see Nelle alive and okay, but shocked and outraged to see her in a cage.

"LET HER GO!" He screamed, his face red with anger.

"We can't risk her hurting anyone." Batman stated.

"She'd never hurt anyone! My teammates back home trust her! She's not a danger to anyone!" He yelped.

"We're not setting her free, Impulse." Batman said, sternly.

'How about we make a deal with him? We let her stay, and not keep her in the cage. But if she attacks anyone for whatever reason, we put her down.' J'onn suggested, starting a mental conversation between himself, Batman, and Superman.

'That sounds like a decent idea.' Kal-El agreed.

'Fine.' Bruce sighed.

"Bart. She can stay." Batman told him. Bart couldn't help but smile, as he began to try and set Nelle free.

"However." Kal-El continued, causing Bart to stop.

"If she attacks anyone who is not a villain for any reason, other then to protect a hero or someone close to a hero, she will be put down." Batman said.

"Put down? Like..." Bart gulped.

"Yes." J'onn said.

"So if she attacks, say, the Joker, she'll live. If she attacks Raquel, she'll die. If she attacks Mal, who's trying to hurt Karen, she'll live? Or she'll die?" Bart asked.

"If she Mal tries to harm Karen, an Nelle intervenes, she'll live."

"Ok. We can handle that." Bart nodded, as J'onn opened the cage, letting Nelle out.

Nelle climbed out, and trotted right towards Bart. She nuzzled his leg with her muzzle, purring loudly.

"I missed you too." He smiled at her. "C'mon Nelle, let's go home." He told her, as the walked towards the Zeta tubes.

"I don't think that's wise." Kal-El hollered.

"We'll risk it!"

Bart managed to get Nelle back to his small, one room Central city apartment without anyone noticing her. Bart sighed, locking the front door as Nelle leaped onto his bed.

"You have no idea how much I missed you, Janelle..." Bart said, running his fingers through his hair.

He watched as Janelle morphed from a saber to her human form. Her hair was still white, but it was no longer covering her eyes.

Bart was so happy to see the girl- young woman, now- that he had been dating since he was just eleven years old.

"I missed you too. Now come here." Janelle ordered, using the powers she inherited from her Mother to bring Bart closer to her.

Bart bent down and started sucking and kissing on the pulse point on Janelle's neck.

"I'm so sorry for leaving you." He murmured, wrapping his arms around her.

"It's ok. You can prove how sorry you are, though." Janelle mused.

"So have you seen or anything from the others?" He asked.

"... Not in a long time..." Janelle sighed.

Bart didn't say anything more. He gently pushed Janelle onto her back, as the two proceeded to make love for the first time in years.

Early the next morning, Garfield showed up at M'gann and Conner's apartment.

"Gar. Good morning! But, we weren't excepting to see you till noon, though..." M'gann said, ecstatic to see her baby brother, yet confused at his early arrival.

They walked towards the kitchen, it just being the two of them as Conner and the kids were still asleep.

"So what's up?" M'gann asked, as they sat down at the kitchen table.

"You're going to be so mad at me..." Garfield sighed, looking down at his feet.

"Why? What did you do?" M'gann asked, sounding concerned.

"I... I got Raven pregnant..."
