Black' Victor Cachat: Yeah. I've decided that not only am I gonna limit my authors notes, but I'm also not gonna delete any more until my story is done (or is at least at a high enough chapter level so it doesn't f**k things up... again) And yeah, Conner & M'gann's family is gonna go through some dark times. It doesn't cause them to divorce- one Supermartian break up was enough- but it's gonna be hard for them to get through some of the major stuff.

KSA: I'm sorry about that. If it happens again, just PM me your review.

Dizaisboss: I'm sorry to disappoint you, but that's not gonna happen. No one is getting their own side story. This story is gonna be one big cluster fuck of stories jammed together into one very long story. Hence why it takes me SO LONG to update. However, I have considered giving this cluster fuck of a story a sequel, depending on feedback from my reviewers. I'm not gonna make a sequel to this if no one wants it.

fuzzynukes: Until you see that this story is completed or an author's note saying it's been discontinued, I'll never truly abandon this story. Will I go weeks/months with without updating? Absolutely, without a doubt, yes. Will I abandon it forever without an explanation? Never.

**Also, IF I DO make a sequel, there will be a LOT of new characters.

With one or two possibly being children from none OC's in this story.

*hint hint* *wink wink*

But ONLY if I do end up making a sequel.

It's not gonna happen for a very long time (I plan on ending this story when Jai & Lisa are between 44-46 years old) so right now the sequel is 50/50.

Let me know if y'all would even want one or not.

(Title suggestions would also be nice)

"You want me to what?!" Lawrence cried.

"Train me." Melissa repeated like it was nothing.

"So you wanna be a hero like your mother, huh?"

"I never said I wanted to be a hero..." She mumbled, looking at her feet.

"I'm gonna pretend I didn't hear that Melissa." He sighed.

Her Poppop calling her by her given name and not 'Missy' was almost foreign to Melissa's ears.

"Please Poppop?" She begged.

"No. If your mother finds out she'll never forgive me. It's not happening." Lawrence said sternly.

His relationship with Jade and Artemis was extremely rocky at best, he wasn't going to do anything to jeopardize it or his marriage to Paula.

And training any of his grandchildren was at the top of that list.

"Who says we're gonna tell anyone? Seriously! Mom's busy training Irey, I'm not a speedster like Dad and Jai, so that leaves you."

"No. That leaves Jade, or Roy, or Green Arrow." Lawrence groaned loudly.

"Uncle Roy is training Lian, and GA just started teaching Michael how to use a bow. And Aunt Jade has talked about training Jocelyn. That leaves just you." Melissa said.

Lawrence groaned louder.

"I'll think about it." He grumbled, walking past her and down the fire escape.

The mission was supposed to be easy.

Just a simple security mission. Guard an ancient book inside a Chicago museum, whose name no one could or cared to even try to pronounce even close to correctly, that was so old it made the Helmet of Fate seem like a twenty first century knick knack.

The League only needed four members to watch it, which baffled Wally since they made it seem like it was the more important then the Pope.

Zatanna and Raven volunteered willingly, while Wally and Artemis were volunteered by Batman.

Artemis and Raven were patrolling the outer perimeter, while Wally and Zatanna kept their eyes on the book.

"You guys, I'm bored." Wally groaned over the com.

Artemis snorted quietly through her nose, the green hood hiding the eye roll she made at Wally's statement.

Since Oliver's semi "retirement" six months ago, Artemis had been sporting his Green Arrow costume, which everyone- including Oliver- agreed looked way better on her then it ever did on him.

Wally would never admit it to anyone, but it kinda turned him on a bit.

The costume, which had been tailored to fit her better, hugged all of the female archers curves in all of the right places.

The new costume made Wally's mouth water, even if it covered more then her original one did.

Good thing M'gann wasn't there, or they'd all be greeted with a traumatizing mental image of Wally fantasizing about Artemis in her new costume and-

Where were they? Oh yeah, beyond boring mission.

"Oh tell me about it. Last time I was this bored, I stayed behind with M'gann and Conner while the rest of the Team went to New Orleans to fight Sportsmaster and Cheshire." Zatanna huffed.

"Hello throw back mission." Wally cackled.

"I take it that was a mission from the earlier days of the Team?" Raven asked, turning to Artemis.

"Me and Wally weren't even a couple when we went on that mission." Artemis mused.

"Oh yeah, that was back in our naïve days. When Miss M was green and Beast Boy wasn't, when we didn't know that Artemis was born into a family of villains and Superboy was both Superman and Luther's son. Man, I miss that part of our lives. Now, don't get me wrong, I love being the Flash and being a dad and all that jazz. But, you know what they say..."

"Ignorance is bliss." Zatanna smirked.

"Exactly!" Wally cried.

Usually when they had conversations during missions, the Team would just say their regular names and not their hero names. But since they didn't have a telepath with them to set up a mind link, Wally didn't want to take the risk of someone finding out their secret identities.

Especially since some of the members of the Team and League believed that might have been a reason why Dick had been murdered.

"Gar has never really talked about the story of him turning green. I mean, he's told me what caused him to turn green in the first place. But he's never told me the story of when he turned green." Raven mumbled.

"Oh you have to let me tell you that story!" Artemis grinned.

"Alright."

"Okay, so it was a few months after Marie died- around April, maybe early May- me and Baywatch were out on a date, and Zee was out with Miss Martian shopping for God who knows what and nobody cares. While they were out, Superboy was watching Gar." Artemis began to explain.

"Anyway me and the bottomless pit of a stomach I would later reproduce with-"

"Hey!" Wally interjected over the com link but was ignored.

"- went to the Cave and the first thing we saw was Supey freaking the fuck out. Dude looked like a chicken with his head cut off. He managed to calm down just long enough to tell us that M'gann was gonna kill him, and he went right back to freaking out."

By this point in the story, Raven's eyes were wide and Zatanna and Wally were starting to giggle from inside the museum.

"And we didn't know what was wrong. There was no visibly obvious threat and Mr. Chicken-With-His-Head-Cut-Off clearly wasn't gonna tell us shit." Artemis huffed, taking a breath.

"And then we saw it. Gar came bouncing into the hanger where the Zeta Tubes are in nothing but a pair of boxers shorts. And his skin had patches of green all over it. A lot of people- especially the newbies- don't know that he's gotten a lot lighter over the years since he turned green. In the beginning, he was so green he almost looked black. He was darker then my original costume.

"And Rae, I'm not even lying when I say he was acting estatic. Back then, I had never seen him so happy. His skin was sixty percent green and he was acting like it was Christmas. The only thing that would've made him happier at the time, was his mom being brought back to life."

Raven found herself trying not to laugh, imagining her husband's younger self being so happy.

"And just to add some drama to the mix, the Zeta Tubes announced Zee and Meg's arrival to the Cave. At which point, Supey runs away and hides, and me & Kid Idiot-"

"Woman will you quit insulting me and tell the story!" Wally cried, and was ignored. Again.

"- figured out why he was freaking out. He thought he did something and it was his fault that Gar was green. And by the way, the patches were getting bigger if you paid attention to them long enough. But M'gann didn't even notice Garfield. She noticed Con running away from her and hiding behind Sphere."

"But before she could ask Conner what his problem was, Gar hollered at her hey sis, check this out and he turned around showed her a tail that Superboy hadn't even noticed. I swear I thought he was gonna have a fucking stroke when Gar made his tail move. And well, once M'gann actually saw her baby brother, her eyes rolled into the back of her head and she hit the floor."

Raven and Artemis didn't need their coms or super hearing to be able to hear Wally and Zatanna's cackles from inside the museum.

Covert they were not.

"When did Conner finally calm down?"

"When the League ran some tests and J'onn concluded that it was actually M'gann who caused Gar to turn green when she gave him the blood transfusion the previous November." Artemis smirked.

Raven chuckled, but before anything else could be said, a loud boom was heard and the entire building shook, knocking the two heroes off their perches and on to the ground.

Artemis looked up from her spot in the grass and saw the building was on fire.

"Wally! Zatanna!"

So much for "easy" huh?
