Chapter 6: Helping is a miracle bath
Leonia today woke up for a purpose: On the twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month of the Thunderian calendar, she went to the village, at the request of her father, to do various activities with the people of Thundera.
She just did her hygiene, took her coffee, finished her hygiene and put on simple and modest clothes. A simple dark blue silk dress, without details and short, with a loose collar and a black pantyhose with herself on her legs. Her hair remained loose, but her tiara * denounced her position as a princess of thundera, but she did not even care. Her father always told her to keep it in her head, so she had to obey her father who so much admired him.
"Your Highness, let us go along with you." We have to make sure you're safe. One of the guards was saying behind her in a serious tone.
"I'm sorry, but I can handle myself. Will you refuse my order?" Leonia asked, a little anger in his eyes
"Of course not, but for security reasons. Someone can steal it, and..." One of the guards answered in a half-concerned tone.
"Thieves, I know how to take good care of myself. Thank you, sweethearts. Just go back to your positions" She said, just letting a small smile flicker and heading towards the stable.
They did not dare defy her and she took one of the thunder mounts and next to two large bags with something and a backpack on her back, she ran with him out of the royal palace and the first place she went was an orphanage.
And as soon as she got there ...
"Your Highness, it is an honor to come to us. I hope you feel comfortable" Said one of the caretakers who came to receive. An old woman half-fat, but in a good mood.
"Hehehe ... do not worry! It's a huge honor to be ..." Leonia said in her usual good humor until two kittens ran underneath her. - on here.
"Careful, boys. You stand before the princess! " Telling the other caretaker about the kittens that had passed beneath Leonia. This one was a little younger, of lean stature and a little higher than the princess.
But as soon as they heard the word "princess," everyone would shut up and stare at her.
"THE PRINCESS HAS COME!" One of the orphans shouted to all the others in a cheerful tone.
"YEEEEEEEEEEHHHHHH!" They all began to shout for joy and run to Leonia.
As soon as Leonia saw them running to her and clutching at her clothes, she just laughed at them. They remembered her in her childhood days. A childhood where the heads of the other kingdoms did not try to put in the head of his father, the idea of marrying a rich prince of good party.
"Hehehehe ... calm down. I brought toys for you that I do not play anymore and a wonderful story." She said, laughing softly and looking at all the children.
"FIRST STORY!" One of the orphans shouted.
"TOYS FIRST!" Another orphan shouted at her.
She was even focused on the orphans, but farther on was a kitten with two more kittens. This kitten was being bothered by them. And she just walked towards them, and as soon as they realized the princess was heading towards them, they stopped their activities with the kitty.
"You want to tell the story with me in my lap, little girl?" What's your name? She asked, kneeling down to the little girl to see her well.
"My name is Kalyssa...princess. Yes, it is." The little girl answered shyly.
"Well ... then let's tell the story first and then let's go to the toys." Leonia was saying in a very cheerful tone and pulling her into an armchair, leaving her in her lap and opening the book so the little girl Kalyssa told the story.
An hour passed after she told the story.
"... And so, the brave king, as he imprisoned the terrible monster for him to never terrify thundera, returned to his kingdom. And so, he, his wife and his people, lived happily for many, many years. End." Kalyssa finished telling the story, then with the princess closing the book.
The children and caretakers clapped their hands to the story of Leonia, for they knew that the "brave king" was Lion-o and the "terrible monster" was Mumm-ra. Until an orphan raises his hand.
"You can talk." Said the princess, looking cheerful to the one who raised his hand.
"I did not get the Pumyra part. Where is she?". The orphan boy asked her.
"Their ashes were carried by the tide of the beach along with their other bones, because they know that by thunderian tradition, traitors do not have a peaceful rest and never should have **. Since she was killed by the king because she betrayed her nation, she does not even deserve a burial." She answered, in a serious tone, but not so much so as not to frighten the children.
"Your Highness, and why did you invite me to read the story with you?" Kalyssa asked, coming out of her lap.
"Well ... I've noticed something. Had a couple of little boys bothering you?" Leonia asked thoughtfully.
The kitten just nodded.
"Well ... you could not get the answer to the question you're asking now?" She came back to ask about it again.
Until one of the orphans raises her hand.
"You can talk." Said the princess, looking intently at a kitten who raised her hand.
"I ... I do not know if my answer is correct, but ... we learn a little from the story that ... no one is better than anyone or superior to anyone. The king was modest enough ... to distribute his food to the other thundercats, and ... even being king ... he did not bother to eat little." Replied the kitten, surprising everyone and the princess.
"Yes, Daddy has always been modest, humble and kind to all his subjects." She said to all the orphans in the room, remembering happily the personality of her father. One who sacrifices body and soul for his people and puts the life of himself above the lives of others, because if he were to die for him, Leonia would remain in his place.
"Okay ... but what does this have to do with being kidding her?" Said one of the kittens that were before bothering Kalyssa, with crossed arms and face of "does not matter".
"Because in the first place, she was sad. And joke that brings sadness is no joke. It is someone trying to wring someone's smile to replace it with sadness, as a way to feel superior. And this is totally wrong. As she spoke there, the story has already made clear a general lesson: No one is better than anyone and everyone misses one day. Anyone who learns to learn to respect their orphanage colleagues now with this life lesson. For all the evil that you plant can bear fruit of chance in your future life." The princess explained wisely in a very calm tone with all.
Everyone dared to keep silent and look ugly at the boy. And while he, he just kept quiet, for he saw that he should never bother anyone else if he did not want to reap future fruits ***.
"Leaving this heavy weather aside ... TIME OF THE TOYS!" Leonia said, cutting the mood and getting up happily for the distribution of toys.
The orphans rose again to see the toys the princess brought.
After long hours at the orphanage, she said goodbye to all the children and even won a flower from a child and a beautiful drawing of herself from another child. Two gifts that however modest, she loved, because the flower was harvested with much affection and symbolism and the drawing was made with much love.
And so, she took her horse, and departed. He visited nursing homes, homes for the needy, abandoned animals ... an incredible trajectory. And after hours, it was almost darkening and she returned to the palace, for doing willingly acts willingly, was a shower of blessings from the gods to her. And Lion-o, seeing these good deeds she always did every day twenty-five of the twelfth month, was sure: Thundera would in future have the best queen in the world.
