Hiya!

Happy to see you all again! How have you been since the last chapter? Feeling a bit anxious to know what happened to April? Well, aren't we all! No one told me what happened to her... gosh I want to know so badly that I made up a story myself... ^^ As I am a hugh fan of sad endings, I went for it- but then I desperately needed a happy one as I can't stand people being sad and hurting I came up with that an angel which laid an egg and in it April was sleeping and was sent to Casey and little Leo at Easter. It was all a happy ending, though.. April wasn't a redhead any more and had to settle with white and she was not happy with that- So, a mixture of happy and sad ^^ Or maybe I just thought about this right now... Well who knows. I had to do something! Don't judge me... It makes me sad...O.o Ah, come up with something better yourself! Do Tell!^^

Previous Readers, So here is the last chapter which I wrote the last time. And well... It wasn't good at all! It was confusing and poorly written and the point was totally lost... Which I believe you thought too. Though you read it and wanted me to continue so I must have done something good with it right? ^^ Well... Some of the content in the previous chapter thirteen will be used but a little later. This chapter thirteen contain the fight and the revealing of the Foot and the Elite. It is later than the original story, but I saw it more fitting here as I wanted to put in all the new content in the other chapters.Hope you will still like it!

A Great Lost - Ninja Turtles

Chapter 14: The Name

Once they left the old Foot Headquarters, all Donny cold think about was the cloning. It seemed surreal and impossible, yet he knew it was defiantly possible. They had encountered it before. When they had stormed Shedders building back when they were fifteen, they had encountered three clones of Shredder himself. Though they had been far from perfect and not at all like the original. When they had gone to the future, all four of them had been cloned, but they too was different from the original. Though their personalities was much alike the original with a much more evil and selfish twist to them, but they could easily tell who had been their own counterpart.

After everything they had gone through and seen, almost everything seemed possible. From magic, aliens to time travel. In a rational world they wouldn't even exist and yet here they were.

Though he was extremely glad that the clones had not survive. What happened to the last one was unknown, but he hoped it had died as well. It was kind of unsettling to think that there could be another one of them running around the world, or even worse that a clone of Leo was out there.

But the questions which kept bugging him was; why clone them at all? What had the Shredder planned to do with them?

Fortunately Don had managed to take the hard drive with him and hoped he could recover some more material from it when he didn't have two impatient brothers over his shoulders. And he could always ask April for help, she was almost as good as him at computers, if not slightly better.

The trip to the old Foot building hadn't given them any answers, it sure had given them more questions to put in the pile. Now they were heading to the docks to search for any sign of the Foot. It may be a long shot, but what else should they be doing? Raph was dead seat on finding the Elite which they suspected had killed their father and master.

If the Elite knew the way to the lair, then why had the Foot not invaded it like they had the last time? It seemed like the questions just kept piling up.

They were just ten minutes away from the docks when Don felt his shellcell vibrate in his pocket and soon after it was ringing. Both of his brothers turned to look at him as he pulled the phone out and looked at the caller-ID a bit surprised. It was Casey. It was extremely rare that the guy would call anyone other than Raph. He only called the others when Raph had left his cell at home or forgotten to turn it on, and when there was...

With a sinking feeling in his stomach, Don flipped the phone open and answered, "Hi Casey what's-" Though he didn't get to say much before the man on the other end was screaming in both panic, frustration and fear all at once. Don had to put a distance between the phone and himself not to go deaf.

"Thebuilding'sonfire!Ican'tfindLeo!April'shurt!Ithinkshe' 'sdyin'!Where'sLeo?Leo!DonIcan't find'im!Yaneedtagetherenow!"

There was no chance in hell he understood what the man had just yelled from the other end and by the look on both Raph and Mikey, they had also heard him and looked just as lost as Don felt. Though the urgency in his voice had brought them to a stop and they knew to take it seriously.

Putting the phone back to his mouth, he tried to overpower Casey's rapid and none coherent cries and make him calm down enough to make any sense, "Casey take it easy, tell me what happened, slowly."

Though Casey did no such thing and got the opposite effect. "Easy?! The whole fuckin' apartment's on FIRE!" He screamed through the phone. But at least he understood what he had said.

"What?!" He yelled and turned slightly to look at the phone like it would show him Casey's face and it would just be a big fat joke.

Casey kept talking, his voice began to break. "April's hurt. Bad! I-I-I think she's dyin'... There's so much blood...!"

As he processed the situation quickly in his head, Don motioned with his fingers that they should go back. With no hesitation nor questions, both of his brothers followed his lead and they broke into a sprint. "Casey, where are you?" He demanded.

"In the apartment. I'm tryin' ta-" There was a cough and Casey began to gasping for air. "-get April out. Don she's hurt real bad. She's bleedin' from the back. I can't find Leo!"

He kept processing the information he got with the knowledge he had of how an apartment fire worked. Though it wasn't much, he knew that the smoke was the most crucial damage and it was more lethal than the fire itself. Casey had said the whole building was on fire and that April was badly hurt and bleeding from the back. He guessed April was unconscious and that was extremely dangerous as she was breathing in the smoke. Casey needed to get her out of there as quickly as possible, but if Leo was in the apartment, then he would be in danger too. If he went in deeper in the apartment to look for Leo, the chances was high that all three of them would perish. There was no way Casey could leave his son and there was no way he would let his wife die. If he got April out at least he would save both her and himself, but then Leo would...

It seemed Don would have to make the choice for him, a choice Don would have to live with for the rest of his life.

Knowing the price of his decision, he told him the only thing he could think of. "Get her out now and get her to a hospital! We're on our way!" He shut the phone shut and the tremendous guilt came crashing down on him and he wanted nothing more than to crush the phone in his hand.

From behind him, Mikey asked with an urgency, "What happened?"

"Is it the Foot?" Raph asked with the exact same tone.

"No..." He tried to comprehend what he should tell them. It should be easy to explain, but it wasn't. He had to tell them about his decision which he was still trying to understand himself. So he got himself on autopilot and told them what had happened. Neither of his brothers commented on the fact that he had just doomed little Leo to his death. Instead the simply increased their speed to get there faster.

Don didn't dare to count the minutes it took to cross town and get to the building. Except it seemed like forever. He hoped and prayed and begged they would make it in time and that every one somehow would be okay. As they got closer, they could see the lights from the fire trucks, polis cars and the ambulance, not to mention the big black smoke rising to the sky. They jump on to the building across the street from where their friends lived and worked and stopped by the edge of it.

"What the-" Mikey exclaimed in disbelief from somewhere behind them.

Ignoring him, Don just took the sight in for a few seconds. The area around the building was sealed off with tape and polis cars. There were people everywhere on the street which was watching the commotion with great interest. It sickened him to see how most humans was so uncaring. Firemen was trying to extinguish the fire on the second level which seemed to have taken over the whole floor and was now eating its way up to the next.

"This can't be happenin'..." Raph spoke with a tone mixed between shock and disbelief. He couldn't believe it either.

"Em, guys.." Mikey spoke from behind them, urging them to turn around, but the shock had frozen them in place. "Guys, ya need ta take a look at this."

"Not now Mikey," Don replied as a reflex, not even realizing he had just spoken.

"I think ya really should look at this!" He urged once again.

Getting frustrated, Raph finally turned around to roar at Mikey."WHAT?- Oh crap!"

The sudden change in Raph's tone got Don curious enough to forced his eyes off of the building and turned around to see what had startled his brother. His heart skipped a beat at the horrified sight. There in the middle of the roof they had missed a headless man in a Foot uniform.

"He's a Foot, no doubt about it," Mikey said as he turned the body around with the end of his nunchuck and the Foot symbol on its shoulder was shown and confirmed what they already knew.

"Are they responsible for the fire?" Don asked. He didn't need to elaborate on what he meant, it was obvious he meant the fire.

"My wagers on tha' Elite-bastard!" Raph said between his teeth.

If it was the Foot and the Elite, then it seemed they went after everyone they cared for. This had to stop. And quickly before everyone they knew was dead.

"Let me inside! My son's in there ya bastards!"

The sound of Casey's voice drew them back to the building and the fire. They walked over to the edge and saw Casey fighting two firemen and a cop. He was trying to get back into the building but the authorities wouldn't let him. Not far behind him, April laid on the ground with the paramedic all over her. From what Don could tell by the paramedics reactions and actions, it didn't seem good.

"Leo's still in there?" Mikey asked with fear in his voice.

The guilt and panic stroke him once again. What had he done? He looked at the building and knew there was nothing they could do to help Leo. If he was in there, then there was no way he was still alive. Slowly he began to shake of fear and anger. His mind was screaming at him to move, to jump over to the building and go through the flames to seek the boy out, to save him. To hell with all his rationality and just do something for ones. That there could still be a chance if they just tried.

He was about to give in to it, but Raph beat him to it. His brother jumped over the edge and grabbed a hold of a electric cable which was attached to the building next to April and Casey's and slide over before he jumped up upon it. With no hesitation, both Don and Mikey followed him over. Once on the other building, they could feel the heat from the fire. Raph was trying to look for a way in, but it was not as easy as he had hoped. They could see the fire had eaten its way up to the third floor and had begun to go for the roof. There was no way they could set a foot on the building.

"Wait. What is that?" Raph asked and pointed at something at the end of the alley beneath.

Don followed the edge so he could get closer to it. His heart lifted a little as he recognized the small form. "It's Leo!" He exclaimed with relief. What he could see from up there, the boy seemed fine. His cloths was not damaged or burned, but he was not moving.

"Call Casey." He simply told his brothers before he jumped down to the alley.

He quickly walked over to the end of the alley but remained in the shadows. Though the street crawled with people, no one had noticed the boy and he couldn't risk being seen. He put his fingers to the boy's neck to feel for a pulse. Once he found one and felt the steady beat of it, he let go of a breath he didn't realize he had been holding. He turned up to look at his brothers, seeing Raph being on the phone, he gave him the thumb up to signal he was alive.

It didn't even take five seconds before Casey had made his way over to the alley, the phone still glued to his ear. "Leo!" Casey took the boy into his arms and looked him all over.

"He's fine. Just unconscious." Don explained and tried to calm him a little. Casey looked at him and down on the boy once again, like he had a hard time believing it. "But you should take him to the paramedics. He may have breathed in some smoke."

Lost for a second, Casey tried to process what he just been told. The man had never been a quick thinker and at most times it had been and sometimes was rather annoying, Don didn't hold it against him this time.

He motioned for him to go and Casey never took his eyes off of his son as he said, "Yeah... right. Thanks."

Don didn't have to tell him twice before Casey stood and walked over to the ambulance. The guilt had lifted from his heart, but the fear and worry was still there. Leo may be safe, but April was still in danger. He just hoped that she would be saved and come out of this alive. Don got back up on the building where his brothers waited and they stood quietly as they watched the ambulance take their friends away.

"Do ya think she's okay?" Mikey finally asked carefully, his voice a bit over a whisper.

"I don't know Mikey…" Don answered with the same tone.

They stood there a few more minutes, watching how the whole building was getting swallowed by the fire and parts of it collapsed. They watched as everything April and Casey owned was destroyed, even the shop below. April and Casey's whole life was in that building and now it was gone.

"We should go home… before someone sees us," Donny finally said. "Wait for news on April."

"Yeah..." Raph agreed but none of them felt like moving and stayed for just a few more minutes.

The three creatures was heading away from the burning building and was heading at the opposite direction. The creature I had fought, the one with the red was in the lead. It was as my Master had predicted, the red one had become the new leader, not that it mattered to me but apparently it had for my Master. I let the creatures move a few buildings away before I followed them. I wanted to study the other two creatures before I complied to my new orders. As they moved to the direction of the park, they kept searching the roofs to their sides. They searched for any possible threat which could eliminate them, but they seemed a little bit distracted.

My orders was to get them to one particular destination and they were not even heading to that direction. I pushed myself forward so I would caught up to them. The creature in red turned slightly once it noticed me and there was a twist in its face as it spotted my movements on the building next to theirs. It came to a sudden stop, which resulted in the creature in orange ran straight into it. Both of them went straight down on the roof in a pile.

"What the hell Mikey?" The familiar rough voice from the creature in red called out.

"Ya're the one who just stopped," I heard a second voice complain.

The third one had now also spotted me and had its weapons in its hands, spinning them. The three of them were stiff, ready to fight but there was also an hesitation in their bodies. Especially in the two I had yet to fight. Something crossed their faces before turning to the same expression which the red one was wearing. There was a meaning for their reason to fight. Whatever it was I had no idea. As I realized they would not take the first step, I knew I had to make them take it. I grabbed a hold of the handle of one of the katanas on my back. The sound of it being unsheathed was enough to get some action in them.

The creature in red stepped up on the ledge as it spoke with a new roughness in its tone, "We attack 'im together and ain't back down 'til we've his head on a plate." The other two opened their mouths, but the creature had already pushed itself off the building and into a jump. It crossed the two buildings between before it finally took a leap on to the building I stood waiting on. It stopped where it had landed, waiting for the other two creatures too caught up to it.

Once all three of them was on the building, they had taken a fighting position. Again I saw there was a missing piece in their poses. An opening which they seemed oblivious to. Already I knew how it would go down. The creature in read would charge at me first, taking the attention of my sword. Then the one in orange would come up to my right, trying to make me choose between the two of them and taking my other sword out. If I was skilled enough, it would try to prying my attention away from being on my guard and leaving my back open. Then the creature in purple would sneak up behind me and deliver a rather damaging hit to my back and head, then trying to get me off of my feet in one single sweep and then they would overpower me.

"He's mine!" It screamed and as expected, the red one charged, its weapons aiming to my abdomen.

"Raph wait!" The creature in purple called out with an alarming tone. Of course the red one ignored it and didn't see the three soldiers emerge from the shadows. Though the purple one managed to grab a hold of the one in orange before it too could charge.

Somehow the creature in purple knew that I knew their tactics. As my own had changed in a split second, I unsheathed the second katana and lowered my swords to the side and charged at the creature in red. As we got closer, I shifted my swords to a defensive position in the form of an X in front of me, attempting to trick the creature. There was a flicker in its eyes, which seemed to be empty and then it was all back to normal.

It did as I expected it to and kept its' weapons in the offensive. As we were about to collide, I shifted one of the swords to the offensive and with the new reach of my sword, I brought it up to its neck and the other one to its throat. It had no choice than to stop in its track once I had the dead lock on its head.

"Raph!" The orange one yelled from where it stood pinned by the three soldiers.

The red one realized it could not move a inch, or it was a possibility its head would come off if I made a move. Though it was still thinking of slashing at me with its sais and its knuckles was growing white by the strong hold it had on its weapons.

It looked up at where it believed my eyes were hidden underneath the hat and it hissed underneath its' teeth when I tilted my head at it. "I'm going to kill you," it stated.

It was a threat I had heard before, but the meaning of it was unknown. The word kill was meant to have another one dead. Kill was in most of the orders my Master had given me. Orders I had always accomplished without fail. Others had failed my Master's direct orders and I had been given the order to kill them for it. Never had it been directed at me.

Was it a challenge?

I removed my swords from its head, took a few steps back and got in a new fighting stance. At first its eyes grew wide and it didn't seem it knew what to do next. Then it followed my lead and did the same. My swords got to the offensive and with the reach of my swords, I slashed at his arms. My blades dug into its' forearms, giving it only superficial wounds. Though it did not retract its limbs and began to slash at me anyway.

Not expecting it, I jumped back a few feet when it had managed to slash the shirt I was wearing. Though I did not remain there for long as I pushed forward and our weapons crashed together. As we kept ramming our weapons together, the creature kept forcing for an opening to slash at me again, an opening which didn't come. The creature hadn't learned much from out previous encounter. It was still sloppy and the hits was too strong. As it was going now, the creature would use up its energy much too fast. Something I noticed I didn't really want.

The creature seemed to notice it too and was becoming desperate. Again it tried to hit me with its sai and I easily blocked it with both of my katanas, knowing full well I had given it an opening to use its' other sai. Seeing it for itself, it took the advantage I had given it and plunged the sai as deep it could into my left shoulder. The air in my lungs jumped, making it hard to breath for a second. The creature was looking at me with intense eyes, knowing full well that the last time it had managed to wound me, I had not made a sound. The concept of pain was long lost to me, though the lack of air was something new.

I managed to kick the creature away from me and to gain even more distance. I jumped back, putting at least eight feet between us. Though it wouldn't give me the time to pull the sai out. The creature charged once again and was now aiming for the wounded shoulder. I noticed that my arm wouldn't fully cooperate with me and it didn't go lost to the creature either, more like it anticipated it. It kept hitting and punching at it, until I finally had enough of avoiding and sliced at the creature's throat with my sword in my right hand. It managed to get away just in time, only the tip of the blade cut the skin on its throat.

As the creature checked its' new wound with its hand, I took the time to grab the handle of the sai with my right hand and pull it out. Immediately the breathing got clearer and my arm more functioning, though it left the wound bleeding. Dropping the sai, I charged at the creature and now it was my turn to slash at it. The creature blocked most of my hits with his remaining sai, and managed to duck some too. Though there was a cut here and there, resulting in covering spots of the roof in splashes of the red liquid. The creature probably knew by now it needed its' other weapon. Its eyes shot behind me to where I had dropped it.

The weather was changing. A storm now upon us and a roar of thunder exploded over our heads. It distracted the creature just for a split second, which would result in its' downfall. With one last slice with both of my katanas at its chest and throat, it stumbled back and I took the opportunity to kick it in its abdomen. Not expecting it, its' eyes got big as it fell to the roof.

"Raph!" The other creatures yelled from the other side of the roof, with an alarm in their voices. Both of them tried to pry themselves away from the soldiers which had them now pinned to the ground.

Once down on its' back, I stood over the creature in red, wielding the tip of the sword against its' throat. Rain fell on my back and I could immediately smell the fresh air. It was soothing. The creature in red turned its head slightly to the other creatures. There was a gesture between them, something the other two didn't really seem to appreciate as they began to protest. It seemed somewhat familiar.

Another flash went through my head just as it had done when the being with green eyes and red hair had asked me to help the small being with the name that felt wrong. Though this image was different. It was of the creature in red and it was staring back at me with a... sad look in its eyes. Shaking it off, I felt an sudden urge to kill the creature at my feet.

"Stop!" The sound of my Master yelled and the creatures just stopped moving.

Never taking my eyes off of the creature, I let my blade remain at its throat as it searched for the sound of the wielder. Finally its eyes found what they were searching for at the other side of the building and it growled, "Karai."

There was a metallic scraping from behind me, a sound I knew very well. It was an order from my Master to remove the blade from the creature's throat and step away. Reluctantly complying to the order, I gave the creature room to rise. It turned to look at me and rose up as fast as it could, holding its hand to a sore spot on its side. The other two creatures was let go and they ran up to the one in red. They were now fully surrounded and there was no way to escape.

"Are you okay?" The one in purple asked with an urgency.

"Yeah, just some bruises," it answered as it was catching its breath. It never took its eyes off of the wielder of my Master, looking at it like it was its pray. "Whatcha doin' here Karai?"

"I am here to take back what it rightfully mine." The wielder answered with the cold in its voice, but there was something new in it too. I didn't know what it was. "Also I am here to take revenge upon my father."

The creature in purple matched the tone of the red on as it asked, "You waited three years for that? Why?"

"I had to train my new Elite." The three creatures turned their heads to me. I didn't care much of what was spoken. It didn't matter to me. But the need to kill the one in red was growing and I had to keep myself in place.

Turning back to the wielder, the creature in red demanded, "If ya want us dead then why go after April and Casey? There's no honor in hurtin' those that has nothin' ta do with it."

"Hah!" I had never heard that sound from the wielder before, it was almost light but with a dark twist to it. "You almost sound like Leonardo did. Has the position as a leader turned you into him?"

The sound of the name made me turn my eyes to the wielder. Never had I heard it from its mouth before and yet it brought a doubt inside of me. That name was important somehow.

"Don't ya dare say his name!"

The threat in the red one's voice was clear to me and I knew it was about to charge at the wielder and my Master. With no hesitation, I took the stance between them, stopping it dead in its track with the tip of my sword pointed to the creature so it was just an inch from its face. It stared at the sword before it looked past it and gave me the same stare it had always done.

"Stand down Kurōn," the wielder ordered and I complied.

"Kurōn?" The one in orange repeated, like it was a word it knew. "Isn't that Japanese for clone?" It turned to look at the other creatures, which gave it just a single look before they looked back at me. I could clearly see the thoughts go through the creature in purple's eyes.

"I thought Michelangelo was the stupid one," the wielder commented.

"Hey, I know Japanese too... mostly because I watch anime but-" There was a glance between the red and the orange one which made the orange being stop. "Sorry."

"I ain't give a crap 'bout yar revenge shit!" The creature in red shouted to the wielder then turned to me and pointed with its sai. "'N' I'm gonna kill ya for what ya did ta Masta Splinter 'n' April!"

"Wait?" The wielder asked, the tone not sounding too pleased about the new information it had gotten. "What do you mean? What happened to your Master?"

I had no idea what the dialogue was about as I had no idea of who these creatures master was. Though it didn't stop them from pushing the subject.

"Don't ya know?" The one in orange asked. "That bastard killed our master!" It too, was pointing at me.

Feeling the eyes of the wielder on the back of my neck, it spoke, "Kurōn, is that true?" I turned to the wielder with a blank look. If it was true I did not care. Had I killed their master than I had no memory of it. "I asked you a question!" The wielder brought up my Master and I gave a simple nod as respond.

"Don't ya've control over yar minions?" The one in red asked with a lightness in its tone. "I guess ya're no Shredder after all."

"I have more power than you know." The wielder spoke with a dark voice. Clearly it did not like the way the creature in red spoke to it. "Kurōn, take of the hat."

Not understanding why I suddenly had to take off the hat which I had been told never to remove, I followed the order and did what I was told. Once the hat was off, there was a gasping sound from the three creatures in front of me. The sudden light made my eyes feel uncomfortable and I wanted to put it back on. Though I had still the mask which was covering my mouth.

"Leo?" The one in orange asked and pushed itself a bit closer to me.

"No fuckin' way..." The one in red exclaimed, the same puzzled look as the purple one.

I looked up at the creature in orange and tilted my head at it. Somehow I knew it spoke to me, but the name was not mine. Yet it seemed to fit. The creature took a few steps closer, the other ones too frozen to stop it. There was a movement behind me and suddenly the soldiers had ceased the three of them. Immediately they began to fight the soldiers off, but to no avail.

"I will show you Raphael the power I have over my so called minions." The wielder spoke high and mighty from behind me. Knowing I was about to be given an order, I took a step to the side. "Kurōn, I want you to break Michelangelo's arm."

"What?!" All three of the creature exclaimed.

The creatures began to trash even more violently as I turned to the one in orange. I did not know how I knew this was the target and I did not question it. The four soldiers was holding the creature in orange down, while one was stretching its left arm out, implying it was the arm I was going to break. I did not see the purpose of breaking it, it would not be able to fight without it. Yet, I did what I was ordered, with as much power I could put into my right leg, I stepped down on the arm and felt the bone break by the impact between my foot and the cold roof.

The creature screamed like most of my targets and I just stepped back and watched it.

"Mikey!" Both of the other creatures called out.

The creature in orange slowly calmed down and stopped with its yelling and screaming. Water was running down its face as it put its eyes on me with a look I did not understand.

"Now, Kurōn. I want you to cut it off." The wielder commanded.

"What?! Are you insane?" The voice of the one in purple called out. More soldiers had to go up to the other two, pining them down even harder. Though it did not stop them from keep on trashing and fighting. "No, no Mikey!" The creature in purple screamed. "Don't do this Karai!""

"Let me go! Let. Me. Go. Damn it!" The orange one protested and tried to pull its arm away, ignoring that its arm was broken.

"Don't ya dare touch 'im!" The creature in red roared.

Ignoring the other two creatures, I sheathed the katana in my left arm and got up closer to the creature in orange. Its eyes locked with mine and there was a look in its eyes which had been similar to the small being with the name which had felt wrong. Though this blue ones was telling me to not fulfill the order. Some part in my mind agreed with it. Told me not to hurt the creature.

"Please Leo," it pleaded, water ran down its face and I followed it with my eyes.

Then I cut.

Wh-wha-wh-what-WHAT? Oh that I never saw coming! Where to begin?! Leo? Mikey? Arm? Alive? Dead? Kurōn, the Japanese word for clone? Where the hell is this all going? And Mikey! Who is going to save him! HE can't have his arm chopped of! What about all his game playing? His cooking? Can he do that with just ONE arm? I don't think so! DO you?! O.O

Ah no, poor little Mikey!
