Loki directed them to a tunnel where he had a team already prepared to begin his work, Dr. Selvig as his lead. Logan followed behind him after taking the IV out as they arrived.

"Place the Tesseract in there," Loki pointed to a machine within an isolation room before he moved to the side of the tunnel, sitting down with his legs crossed.

Logan joined him, noticing his strength had returned some, but he still looked worn. "What's your plan?" she asked.

He glanced at her, "You have followed me willingly so I suppose you can know," he grinned deviously. He, then, explained, "I have an army of alien, to your world, warriors ready to come to Earth once the good doctor is able to open the portal. Once they take over control, I will rule your kind. I will find a place for you to thank you for the services you have given me, even though I declined," he finished watching her face turn to an expression of horror.

"I came for your health," she countered, "Not to rule the world. Once you are captured, I will most likely be locked away."

Loki shook his head, visibly disappointed with her words, before he used his spear to, well, Logan could only describe it as daydreaming. But, she was quite sure he was in another world.

She watched until he came out, physically reacting to pain she hadn't seen the cause of. Without thinking, Logan reached up to his cheek for the second time, "Are you alright?"

He shook off her touch, disgruntled from the lack of respect he received everywhere he went. "I'm fine. Why are you so concerned with my well being, especially now that you know my purpose for your kind?"

Logan swallowed, "I wish I knew, but at first I was following my gut. Now, I think I'm drawn to you in some way, but I can't explain it," she paused before adding, "It's like, this sounds crazy, but somehow I was supposed to be with you," she let her words out, feeling even more insane as she heard them outloud.

For a moment, his eyes seemed to soften as he reached out and placed his hand on hers, "You're not crazy. I feel it too but can't explain it. After this is over, perhaps we'll be able to," he confessed before he stood, "Excuse me, I must check on our progress."

Logan nodded as he walked toward Dr. Selvig, who was deep in his work. She was alone with her thoughts, trying to understand what she felt.

Loki stepped back toward her, not long after, shaking her from her thoughts. "I have a purpose for you but it will end with us in your employer's custody. Are you open to that?" he proposed.

Logan shook her head, "Why do you ask me instead of just using that brainwashing trick?"

He shrugged, "I don't believe I need to. You work with me of your own free will. Will you accompany me?" he used his spear to gesture toward her gear, "We will have to change you out of that because it simply will not do," a small grin crept across his lips as she looked at him, confused.

Logan stood, "I will but when we're captured, they'll take me. This, whatever this is, will be over."

Loki shook his head before he used his spear, pointing toward her again, transforming her agent clothes into a tight, halter neck, wine colored evening gown. "Nothing is truly ever over," he replied as she looked down at herself before noticing him looking at her as well. Next, he took care of his own look, now in a black suit and tie.

"You clean up nicely," Logan complimented without thinking causing him to smile, subtly.

"I prefer you in your dress, as well," he replied, offering his arm, "Shall we?"

Logan inhaled, unable to believe what she was doing, before shaking off her doubts and taking his arm.

Their journey took them to an event in a museum where Loki and Logan entered from above.

"What do you need from here?" she asked, as he prompted her to look as if they were a happy couple.

He leaned toward her and whispered, "You shall see," he replied before guiding them down the stairs to the main floor where the main show was happening.

Loki's staff was disguised as a walking cane which he lifted as they approached a guard, turning it back into a weapon and striking the man down before making his way to the speaker, Logan staying close to him.

"This could have been done with much more stealth," she said, panicked.

Loki turned back to her as he slammed the man down, quickly sharing, "But then, my dear, how would we be captured?"

She shook her head as he used the tip of his spear to remove the man's eye causing Logan to look away. When she turned back, the eye had completely vanished.

"Time for the show," Loki whispered to her as he transformed back into himself, "When you are taken, as I know you are going to tend to this fool, explain that I brainwashed you."

Logan wasn't sure what to think but he was correct about her looking after his victim. She moved closer to Loki, grabbing his cheek once again, "Goodbye," she whispered back before leaning in and placing her lips to his. She felt him return her affections as she pulled back, "I guess we'll never figure out what this was," she said before turning to the injured man as Loki turned to leave the building, turning back once to look at her before he took on Captain America.
