It took no time before SHIELD agents swarmed the building, taking Logan into custody bringing her directly to Fury back on the helicarrier.

She was placed in an interrogation cell where she was told to wait, she held back from smarting off about where else was she supposed to go.

Fury entered the room later on, taking a seat across from her. "So, Agent Miller, do have anything to say for your actions? Or, perhaps a lead that we can use to forgive what you did?"

Logan shook her head, "Sir, I did nothing wrong. I did not aid him in any of his work. I only treated his dehydration. I have no information and I am prepared to take whatever punishment you see fit."

He stared at her, almost confused by her uncooperative behavior. "Miler, do you understand you'll be stripped of your badge and fired from this organization if you don't help in some way? Luckily you weren't complicit in any of his actions or you'd be facing jail time as well," he explained.

Logan nodded, "Loki told me to tell you I'd been hypnotized by him to ease my punishment, but that is not who I am. If you have to let me go," she paused, "Then I understand. I can't ignore my vow to heal and do no harm. You must have also noticed that I stayed behind to help the man Loki maimed and did not follow him?"

Fury nodded, "I did notice that. It shows your reasoning for following the Asgardian to begin with are true, and your willingness to accept your punishment and not use a cop out as you were told to also help. You're benched for this mission with your evaluation to be conducted after."

Logan nodded, "Yes sir."

Fury stood and left the room, leaving Logan locked in there for the next seventy-two hours until Loki had been defeated and they were back in Washington DC where she was taken for her disciplinary hearing.

Logan learned of Coulson's fate, her mentor, at Loki's hand as she was placed on desk duty until further notice.

When she was finally able to return to her apartment after everything, she walked in to find a note etched on the wall. It read, "I'll be seeing you."

A/N: This chapter was shorter but it was essential to move on to the rest of the story.
